I slowly walked past several employees in a confused, investigative state (looking for something) with no one reaching out; one member walked past me several times. Escanaba shops clearly show they think locals are paid like its Chicago.
Cheaper then home Depot. Sink kit was missing the faucet. So back we go for the fuel. Home Depot may have been better option. But I like Menards. I feel they will fix this issue. It will be ok
The Ying: Mostly clean store, fairly well stocked, and very good service. The employees are helpful and courteous.The Yank: They were out of stock for one of the main items for which I stopped in. (Not too surprising since it was near the end of the season for the warm-weather product.) I walked about half the entire store and after talking with four employees in the process, eventually found two of three items on my list.General complaint for all Menards stores: They are poorly organized in terms of finding specific items easily, often requiring one to wander and browse long distances through much of the store and several potential departments, and often requiring one to find an employee to ask directions to find the item, which is a huge waste of time, effort and energy. I believe this is intentional by Menards design, in order to induce impulse purchases. Ive decided to favor smaller hardware stores for basic items and products, to save hours of my life from wandering Menards.
Had to wait 40 minutes for a pick up order. I thought the pick up would be faster, but that is not true. 3 people were waiting behind me, i can only imagine their wait time.
The best DIY store in Escanaba!
Went to buy a gazebo. Asked 2 associates for help, Never got any. After at least 20 minutes I went upstairs to the stock room and got it myself. Slid it halfway down the stairs when an associate showed up to inform me of an elevator I could have used to do HIS JOB and retrieve my gazebo from the stock room. But hey, at least I got 11% off. Right?
This store is the worst Ive been to made a special order. Went to back to pick up waited 10 minutes in line put on hold. Then someone pulls in front of us my husband told them if they load them first were leaving and canceling the order. Well they loaded them first. We spent thousands of dollars at Menards a year. No more ! I hate this store !
They had what I needed and more. Missy was very helpful . She explained what to do when I was checking out. Very pleasant. And polite. Workers like her make coming to her a great experience. Thank you

Menards has a large selection of everyday hardware supplies and many other items including groceries, pet food, automotive, gardening, etc.Many items are available as Made in USA. Prices are competitive and along with regular 11% off everything rebate deals its a win.

I love the stores and find bulk items that no other store offers. Tonight was disappointing, after driving from out of town the shellac (that showed up on inventory) was not on the shelves and they said they it likely was on a palette but they couldnt get it and wouldnt be likely stocked until the next day.
Excellent service in the electrical department. Koren Dolata was not only helpful but very pleasant.
Went in to buy metal drywall corner beads. All of the stock was bent. How can they even try to sell that garbage? Plus, the price of any lumber just keeps going up and up. I realise this is supposed to be due to a shortage. But hard to believe when their stockyard is overflowing with lumber!

I never seen such bad service and unhelpful people every time I have been in the store. This last time they gave me a hard time when I went to the pick up area they told me they dont do that and I can get them myself. Even though thats where I was sent to have them loaded it. I finally had to get rude to get them to help me. The only reason I needed help was because I cant lift I did not expect it to be such a big inconvenience for the staff to help people who have physical problems.
Friendly, helpful employee helped me but sale price for the mulch I was buying was not posted and the brand of mulch on sale didnt match the flyer so after some confusion the kind employee steered me in the right direction.
Same old Menards!!! Friday night tons of people gearing up for weekend projects, and only three registers open.
Warning when buying stuff from Menards with a life time warranty they will not honor. So sad there way out of it your suppose to save receipt for a product you bought several years ago. The names on the product but still wouldnt honor the guarantee .

This store NEVER has electric cart for elderly to shop. They have only 1. However they do have 2 completely useless wheelchairs. How can one shop while pushing themselves in a wheelchair.
Not one employee spoke to me while I was in the store. Didnt find what I needed. The cashier was rude. Never coming back.
I should have went to Walmart instead. Needed a few chop saw blades and a couple 3/8 bolts. Got what I needed and headed to checkout line. The checkout line was from the far end all the way to the automotive section. Store was full of people and only 2 lines open? They are paying somebody to put the stuff I was going to buy back on the shelf. I saw that line and left the cart right there. Unacceptable.
They have things that you need yeah but getting any assistance when you really need it is out of the question unless its just me they dont help....
You save big money. You save big money when you shop menards.
Terrible delivery, had a garage and padio door delivered, both arrived damaged and received nothing but unprofessional rudeness when I went back in about the damaged products the store is still not going good for the items I payed for and they delivered damaged I have spent thousands of dollars there but now I will travel to Wisconsin or online before I ever go back to Menards.
Giving this store one star is a compliment. I’ve been to many Menards, and this one was by far the worst!! From the rude check out lane workers, to even one of the Assistant store managers. The worst part was my fiancé being asked “where’s your white Indian card”. Which is very much inappropriate, and offensive to our family as Native Americans. We won’t be returning.

One of the girl managers is really disrespectful. Had my mask on but it wasnt high enough for her liking and gave me attitude and told me to pull it higher. I dont need some little girl talking to me like Im a little child.
I do like Menards for mostly the electrical section, they have the best prices on nail on boxes and dair wire prices ! However today I went in for dog eard fence boards. They were more costly than Home depo and Lowes ! Usually Menards has better prices, just not in this case ! So I had to pass on the wood ! I did get 14-2 NMB cable and some 1 gang nail ons !

Never used to be this bad but ever since Covid started its honestly horrible to go here. Every employee runs away when they see you coming to ask a question, one employee even completely ignored my existence 😅 oh but if your not wearing your mask over your nose or you take it off for a second to look at something watch how fast someone comes to tell you to put it back on correctly or you have to leave 🤷🏼♀️ definitely willing to travel an hour to go somewhere else now.
I love shopping Mennards in Escanaba. Everyone is so friendly. Also, social distancing and mask wearing is done be all the people in the store. Besides having great prices on the things I need, I feel safe here. Thank you.
Menards needs to go set up camp in a communist country. When you don’t allow medically exempt shoppers in your store without a mask, you don’t belong in America.

Menards is a great store here in Escanaba that is managed and ran with great personal.
Not Impressed or happy they stopped selling Stanley tools. But Ill keep going there because they have pretty much everything you need. Just not happy with them eliminating Stanley there tape measures are the best.
This place has the stuff I need but It is hell trying to find someone to help you find the product in question.

Menards is fabulious! Its at the top of our list when we go to Escanaba, Yes I highly recommend this store for your building material,lighting,flooring,,window treatment,appliance,decoration,cleaning supplies and yes they even carry grocerys! You must stop in and check them out!

Went to Menards today and my fiance and my mother had the worst customer service experience lots of employees but nobody willing to extend good customer service and help them my fiance as to even help an elderly couple load a 60# bag of concrete in to their cart employees are rude the only decent service was from the cashier who checked them out. I will never go back to this Menards again take pride in your job and treat your customers with respect and gratitude because in the end if it werent for your customers you wouldnt have a job or a paycheck

Very poor service had to run all over store for help. Called before to see if paint department was open again was told it never had closed and then the worker hung up.I go to other Menards in other towns and have no problems.Went to building department and waited several minutes for worker to wait on me and no one else was there but me and three people behind the desk.
Very polite nice workers who answer your questions when you need help on finding things in their store and they can tell you prices on how much things cost when you call the store!!! They have wheel chairs for handicap people who need them and they help that customer haul things to their vehicle if their needing that help in lumber to and to make their customers happy!!

I wish I had a choice in this town, no service and rude cashiers. Why have cashiers? I have to do everything myself but scan the items! Run my card, pack the items or drive around and load my own plus when I ask how much I have left on my rebate credit she said” it’s in bold on your receipt!” Hate this place, wish we had a Lowe’s or Home Depot. There they even given veterans discounts.

We will no longer do business!! We have been long time customers and have spent thousands with this company. We ordered a chest freezer. Drove 2 hours to get it prior to that had gone grocery shopping and did some other errands. Didnt get home until after 9. Opened it and there in the lid rear center is a good size dent that has creased and chipped the paint. Tried to call store but already closed. Had no choice but to start up and use or would have lost all the frozen food. So called the next day which was Sunday. Was told we could reorder or 25.00 off. So had to speak with husband. Got back to see if we could do better than 25.00 was told no. So asked if we could just order another lid and just exchange them. Was a no. So said what if we just returned for a replace and then was told that would be 25% restock fee. We are livid. So we took 25.00 off a 359.00 freezer to have a good size dent and will have to treat where the paint is chipped so it wont rust.. We will be back to zero out the credit on our Menards card, cancel it and no longer do business. Buyers beware!!!!

This place is a joke, BEWARE. I went in on a Thursday and placed a order and paid for delivery to be delivered the following Wednesday. I was told everything would be delivered but one item. I was ok with that.They call me on Monday and tell me not everything is in stock and some things may be a month or more to get in. I ordered 200 ft of chain link fence and everything to put it up, how can I put up half a fence!!! I was told everything would be delivered except the one item on Wednesday, they took my $1,700+ dollars. You would assume everything there they would hold for you after you scheduled delivery and paid for it but no read your paperwork it says on the bottom things will be sold on a first-come first-serve basis so they took my money and my order and then sold the stuff over the weekend. I have never heard of a company doing that to somebody that is ridiculous.

Escanaba store today, may 2, 2020, children under 16 couldn’t enter, then told by the “greeters” that I needed to wear a face mask to enter their store, getting more and more communistic every day, so, i will now boycott menards, and i will encourage all to do the same, it’s time to show that we still have some freedoms,

Called for pricing since Im an hour and a half away. described what I was looking for and the building materials section who is supossed to be knowledgeable in his department told me he basically that he didnt know what I was talking about and couldnt help me. I said Im looking for 3/8 siding thats weather resistant...🙄
