As part of a project working for the sister company of Lakeview Forge, we were asked to load and haul 3 machines and miscellaneous parts to Erie, PA at Lakeview Forge. One of the machines was an oversize load which required permits and an escort. We performed the work under the impression we were being paid by the sister company we were originally working for. When the work was completed and it came time to invoice the company we THOUGHT we were working for, they told us we were to bill Lakeview Forge. We sent the invoice with payment terms due upon completion as we’ve never worked for either of the two companies prior to this. A few weeks went by so we called to see where payment status was. The girl informed us that the check was cut to us. Another couple weeks go by. We call again to as where the check is. The girl tells us that she was told to put a hold on the check and gave us no reasoning as to why. We waited another couple of weeks and tried calling and now they won’t even answer the phone for us. I stopped in to the sister company in Greensburg, PA today to see if anyone could tell me anything since they had ignored all my calls and messages as well. The gentleman basically told me to pursue this legally. I didn’t see this one coming. All the guys at that plant were really nice and seemed honest. It’s very disappointing. A few weeks ago we googled Lakeview Forge and read the only review they had which was a 1 Star and read: Beware, they do not pay their bills. The review is now gone and they have a 5 star rating again which is inaccurate. So, I write this review to warn anyone looking to do work with or for this company: BEWARE, They do NOT pay their bills.
