I decided to give this place a try yesterday, as finding good coffee in Erie has been like trying to find an honest man in Congress. The building itself is beautiful, inside and out, and you can tell that the staff pay attention to keeping the place spotless. The coffee is easily the best Ive had (I had a creamy caramel cold brew or something to that effect), and I even got another to go when I left. I think the medium size is $5.25, which is more than I would like to pay, but you can tell that they make their own stuff and the price is worth it for great coffee and a great experience. Just look at the foam!

Good coffee? Check. Friendly staff? Check. Unabashed love for dogs? Double check.This local coffee shop was a wonderful surprise on a weirdly industrial/residential street. It is indeed an old brick house turned coffee shop, equipped with its own drive thru. (I imagine it was the houses old drive-way?)Knocked it down a star for interior. For such a unique concept, the interior did not match the exterior. Very grey, modern and exceedingly common. While there were personal touches like handwritten chalk board menus, family style tables, & photos of local dogs enjoying pup-cups, I was surprised at how grey it was. Would have loved to see more character in the design like local art & vintage furniture.Definitely stop by on your way to Presque Isle and enjoy the coffee and baked goods!

I recently stopped in for the first time this week to meet a friend for coffee and catching up, but brought my laptop to do some work after. The coffee was great, the atmosphere and the staff was friendly, inviting, and wonderful. This place has great vibes and will definitely be my new workspace when I need a change of scenery. It is quiet, but just enough going on to keep the brain stimulated, and there is plenty of seating! The love for pets is an added bonus and a real selling point. The owners, Jim and Jackie are super friendly and really care about their patrons. My only recommendation would be to offer some gluten free options, and maybe salads for lunch! But I was really pleased with the amount of dairy alternative and sugar free flavor options for the coffee! Great place, 10/10 stars!

It was nice to be able to sit inside again. The atmosphere is always so nice with lots of dog and coffee decorations. I love that the seating area has cards to let you know if its been cleaned or not (green is clean and then you flip the card to red when you sit down). Its such a simple and effective idea that I may even steal it for my classroom since not all desks are used each period.We got a breakfast sandwich and a bagel in addition to our coffee. The service was very quick and very friendly.Brick House is easily our favorite coffee place to go in Erie.

Very nice coffee shop. Clean, well decorated, cozy and inviting. The staff was very nice the all three days that we visited. They also have a good variety of coffees. If youre visiting Erie, this a good place to have good coffee and relax.

Super cute coffee shop! Love the bright clean space. Love that it was spotlessly clean, such a cozy spot. Down side my coffee was awful. Loved the wrap around porch and the drive thru. Hoping the bad coffee was a fluke. I hope to go back soon. My coffee was so bad that I threw it away immediately. Staff was so friendly.

My daughter and I stopped by. Loved the shop and staff. Chatted with the owner and had a pleasant experience. The coffee was excellent!!

My visits to Brickhouse have only been during COVID, so I cannot comment on the interior. However, staff is so friendly at the window and the Americanos and Cinnamon Monkey Bites are both so wonderful! I may or may not have cried tears of joy whilst eating the little pieces of sweet monkey heaven.

Great local spot for a coffee and bite. Staff is very friendly and the cafe has a cute modern farmhouse decor style. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating options. Also many of their sales seem to benefit Because You Care animal rescue.

Visiting my hometown Erie from Phoenix for the 1st time in 18 years.We stopped here 3 times during our stay and every time the staff was awesome and the coffee was absolutely delicious! You guys rock!

A fantastic place for coffee and delicious food! They have a ton of options for coffee like brewed hot coffee, cold brew, lattes, Italian sodas, and specials like the caramel cream cold brew! Their food is delicious and local! You cannot beat the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant! Also, they have excellent baked goods. My favorite being the GIANT smores cookie! The service is excellent and quick. The location is great. Very clean and the house is beautiful on the inside. I highly recommend Brick House Coffee!!

The coffee was above average. I loved the iced coffee I got. Very smooth, with a nice chocolate finish. It was delicious. The ambiance was very nice, too. Clean, open, and very inviting.Still, it was the service that set this place apart. They listened to me, talked to me, and gave me exactly what I wanted, even though they basically set the order up for me. They let me be picky without making me feel like a pain.Id recommend this place to anyone over the chain coffee places.

Two of my girlfriends & I met here this AM. It was my first time visiting and I definitely will be back!!Cute, small coffee shop with breakfast items such as muffins, bagels, etc. I had a toasted cranberry bagel w/cream cheese & a large chamomile hot tea. Very friendly staff! Reasonably priced. Seating available as well as a drive thru. Loved it.

Good coffee, food, & service!

Great coffee! Got medium dark roast and a bagel with cream cheese for under $5 the same at Starbucks is over 5. Employees are very friendly and fast. My only critiques are back lot needs a defined No Parking area so cars from drive-through can get out and more cream cheese for the size of the bagel. I am thoroughly happy that the Brick House is open again! Support local businesses drink Brick House coffee!

Seriously, best coffee in Erie. Im pretty familiar with coffee. I purchase my beans green and mix and roast my own blends when Im at home. When I cant have a home roasted cup, Brick House is the next best thing. Forget about the chain coffee shops and give this one a try.

Friendly staff, good lattes - fairly standard but good. They have wifi, but it went out half way through the hours I was hoping to work there. I asked but they couldnt tell me why it wasnt working. I ended up having to leave to head back to my hotel to finish out my work hours.

And outstanding local coffee shop. Great selection of coffee beverages. Great selection of dessert items. And a handful of lunch sandwiches. Great space to do a little studying. Or a good place just to relax and be quiet. Nice outdoor patio. Wish they had lat night hours.

Visited on a weekday morning... Coffee selection was good and quality was good. Seating and ambience were nice, although I could see this place filling up quickly. Parking is off-street and free. Had an overall good experience.

2 years ago it was awesome. I havent been to the current version but it sounds like it should be even better. Especially with the speaker so you can pre order your drink and speed up the drive thru line.Edit* Now that Ive been to the new version, my review still stands. I enjoy the loyalty cards, as I usually come every day. My favorite person that works there is Dylan. She always has a smile and is a people person and her personality makes you want to keep coming back. Great Job to the new owners and staff!!

We took a spontaneous road trip to Erie and spent a long time trying to find a relaxed cafe with wireless. We finally found Brick House on the internet and were VERY impressed. Free wireless, great coffee menu gourmet (bagged, not loose leaf) teas, and homemade desserts. The brownie/chocolate chip cookie bars are AMAZING! Note: there is no other food besides desserts. Highly recommended!

The tropical smoothie was pretty dang good. The breakfast selection also looked really good.

The Brick House is ok!Coffee is good.Pastry is a little on the expensive side, but it taste good.The thing with me, is I found it very loud inside, and seating is limited on the porch.

One time they accidentally made a small instead of a large cap for me, but they fixed it no questions asked. It was a great cap so I cant complain. Ham and Swiss was decent and I like being able to order a whole french press. I wish they posted the WiFi password tho. I do come back here when I am in Erie.

On more than one occasion Ive been disappointed by Brick Houses service. They only have bagged Teas and they only give you one bag even if you order a Large. Also, weird hours- closes at 6 pm on Wednesdays. The desserts are good and for the most part employees are friendly. Beautiful interior and plenty of relaxing outdoor seating thats quite and serene. The #1 Coffee Spot in Erie, PA is Out of the Grey Coffee in Fairview, PA, #2 is BrewHAHA on West 8th Street.
