Lots of deals, sales, clearance items. The place was clean with wonderful staff. I had school vouchers to use and they were more than willing to help me out. Roberta was one of the women to check me out with all of my vouchers and she and her team did a wonderful job couldnt ask for a better JCPenneys.

Ordered online and email read to pick up in womens section went to that area and was told next on on the right (after waiting in line).Went to the next one and waited. Told wrong one go to the next one (Waited in line again).Third one, finally got it right, IN THE MENS SECTION. 45 minutes wasted!!One thing I value most is time, you can not barter or buy more of.

I want to congratulate Regina and Mark in the mens department at the Erie, PA store for their excellent customer service.It has literally been years since Ive had such superb customer service in the manner of helpfulness, patience and helpful suggestions. My husband and I were there late morning Tuesday, June 22, 2021, looking for a jacket. They both spent time looking in different areas in the department to help us, and even the back room for new material not yet stocked. We ended up leaving with not only a jacket, but 2 shirts and 2 ties. We want everyone to know to please come to Penneys in Erie for superb customer service and really fine merchandise at fair prices. Thank you so much, Regina and Mark for your kind help and the pleasure of doing business at your store.

Despite the cleanliness and amount of stocked items, we couldnt find anything we needed in our size or style and this place was empty. Sadly a dying market.

There is still limited stock in the store. I found done jeans but was unable to find bedding. I know this is not their fault though. Supply issues are everywhere.

My experience with the salon staff was really nice and this helped a lot because I was nervous to get my hair dyed. However, I went home and saw that I had blue dye all over the back and sides of my neck (my hair was dry so it wasnt due to wet hair) and my hands basically turned blue after running my hands through it. I have no idea if the color will actually stay after I wash it myself and if it wont, Ill probably try to get a refund.

Found a pair of nice Izod shoes 👞as I was walking out the door!!! Exactly what I couldnt find anywhere else!!!!

I used to shop at JCPenney all the time, but its been a while and now the prices seem to have gone up quite a lot. Even the clearance section was only reduced to what their prices used to be. Im disappointed, it was one of the few places you could get nice clothes on a tight budget.

Price was great for the merchandise purchased. Also good customer service.

The was clean, organized, and smelled terrific. The associate was efficient.

Most bizarre hours Ive ever seen for a major clothing store. Every time Ive tried to go theyre closed.

I love shopping here, always find a lot of good bargains! The store is neat, clean, organized & the staff are always very nice & helpful. They rearranged quite a few depts so it took some time learning where everything was again.

The Erie Pa store has THE filthiest dressing rooms I have ever seen - I just turned around and walked back out. I was just in there 2 days ago and there is no way they do ANY cleaning - probably has not been vacuumed in at least a year. Unbelievable especially during a pandemic. It was disgusting. Last time I ever go there.

Excellent department store and customer service. But I give the one star to draw your attention to the older gentleman in Pickup and Returns with light brown hair who needs training. It is excruciating dealing with him because he clearly needs more training. But instead of asking for help from more experienced staff, he will rather tell you something cannot be done or make it more complicated. He becomes easily flustered even with you standing quietly and just waiting for your return.He once told me...(Mind you. I didnt ask him anything) that he could not look up a transaction with my credit card because it was not a JCPenney card. A supervisor standing within earshot who heard told him it was not true and came and fixed it.He will interview you. Do you remember when you bought it? What was the total amount of the transaction, do you remember? Did you buy this item you are returning with that? Did you buy this before that? Can you give dates? can you remember around when? Exasperated i ask. Well the package has the barcode. I have not even opened it. Can you scan it? He tells you, No, that is not possible. Then a rep near him tells him it actually is. Of course it is. Rhe rep who handed me the package when i first picked it up told me to keep it with the barcode sticker as it would be helpful if I decide to return it.He will tell you some lookup is not possible because you bought it online. I once called a sipervisor walking by because I had had it after over 20 minutes. I had to call her attention as she walked by. A heavier set blonde woman. Because earlier on shr had asked him if he was okay and he said he was. Meanwhile he had no clue what he was doing.There have been supervisors who see him struggling and stop and ask if he needs help and he will say he is fine. Meanwhile he is struggling and wasting your time. A 5 min return took 20 minutes once. I had plans to go to another store before they closed. Ended up spending all the time at JCP.Everytime i am standing in line, i pray i dont get him and somehow i always do. Three times in a row. Train him better please or move him elsewhere!!!! It is becoming annoying!

LOVE the store but Management is awful to their employees. This women with silver short hair is always screaming at the employees and telling them they dont know how to do their jobs correctly. I find that very unprofessional and very ignorant. I hope they take care of this situation before they lose great workers. When i asked the young lady who that women was they said it was the assistant manager and if i wanted to speak to her. I told her no but im going to write a review on how she talks to her employees.

Found some shirts that actually for me very well. Nothing licensed that would fit, but shorts look good for $15 each.

Great deals.... if you can find what youre looking for. The store tends to be messy towards the end of the day. As if no one is folding clothes or tidying the racks. Its virtually impossible to get an associate to assist you, because theres hardly anyone working.

The store has big sales going on 50% off on a lot of clothing. At 50% off the clothing is still way to expensive no wonder a lot of their stores closed.

I phoned in and was pleasantly surprised they had an opening with a Master Stylist on a busy Saturday close to Christmas & could to get me right in! My regular stylist, Mandi, was booked, but I was very pleased with my cut from Lisa!! Thank you. I love it!

I love shopping here. They always accommodate and help with any situation. The lines are quickly diminished when too long. The deals are wonderful. You must wait for a sale or coupon though! The selection is fantastic. The best part? A cute Sephora is inside.... love!

I was looking for PJs for a 4 yr.old boy & a 6 yr.old girl. I was happy to find just the right ones & the right price.

Ive always loved JCPenney but it changed like everything else they used to have more things and more sizes it seems like they dont have half the inventory they used to that was my go-to place 4 petite clothing

JCPenney has a great variety in all their departments. The store is clean and employees are helpful. Itd be nice if they had better mirrors and lighting in their ladies dressing rooms. The color is on the items on the floor look completely different under the lighting in the dressing room.

Good place to shop. Old fashioned in that they actually have clerks to serve, a rarity these days. Ill be back.

Sales! sales! Sales!.. I love a good sale. Otherwise I can usually find better deals elsewhere. I do not have a store credit card therefore I am not entitled to the bigger discounts. Not sad about it. Again i love the sales

Was VERY disappointed with their signage for sales. Had several items between 3 people. Got to the register to find out the stuff wasnt on sale! They have same brand clothing on double racks with 1 sign that says 40% off. Get to the register and they tell you its only the side of the rack the sign us on thats on sale! Never heard of such a thing! Very confusing and embarrassing for the customer! Plus the poor employee has to hear grief all day from disappointed customers! Penney needs to find a better way!

We were looking for luggage and the associate named Dale on the second floor was about the most helpful anyone could be. He took his time and explained all of our questions.

I seen a General Electric stainless microwave advertised at a good price so I called and they did not have it in stock. I said I can pay and they can call me when they get there shipment. They said no I could order it online but I wanted them to order it and I could pick it up at the store. So I had to go to another competitor store to get what I needed. Customer satisfaction says it all for the stores that keep in business

I went to this store to pick up a shirt and tie. The cashier was very nice and very helpful. He even steamed both of them for me. I asked and he said yes and it will take a few minutes. Sure enough....it only took a few minutes.

I love JC Penny! Sales are awesome and if you use your Pennys charge card you get an additional 25% off. I love the online shopping also. They offer really good coupons also. Im never disappointed when I shop here.

Chaotic mess in there and the escalator is always out of order..... but I love taking my kids to the photography studio even though it’s an absolute frustrating jigsaw puzzle to find it upstairs in the back corner... there needs to be more signs and direction on finding everything...

It brought back memories visiting. I used to cut through Penneys as a kid. I admit, its not my kind of store, but they had a good deal on a toaster oven. It was busy and good for them. The lady that helped me was nice.

Sale prices are wonderful, but regularly priced items are too expensive for my taste. I also really dislike the lack of bright lighting, and crowded layout of the store itself. Its almost impossible to get a cart through the store because its so crowded with haphazardly strewn displays everywhere. Their dressing rooms feel dingy and dark and in the Summer are unbearably hot.

JCPenneys in Erie always has good deals. Theres almost always a coupon thats useful, up to 25-50% off. Plus PA has no sales tax on clothes. Short line at checkout and its a clean store.

Not enough help or registers. The girl running register in the girls dept was busy helping someone shop while she checked her out. She had a line 5 people deep. I went over to another register as did some of the others in line and the woman at that register was very rude.

The one star deduction is because of the abnormally slow checkout. A variety of merchandise and usually some good deals, highly advise checking their shoe clearance section (some as low as $9). The main problem is the checkout.

My go to department store!

Good but not great. I wanted to rate it higher but the store isnt what it once was. It is still a great store for cloths but they made the departments so cluttered. Putting stuff in the isles and placing everything too close together. It feels like a more like a discount store than it used to.

There are always coupons and great deals available. Great selection of cocktail and office-appropriate dresses. Only downfall is they often seem short staffed and the lines can get long. But, if you dont have a coupon ask at the register, they usually have one.
