They are very friendly and had been extremely helpful. They took the time to see if I needed any help. They also walked with me though a few of their different choices. Its a smaller shop, but they truly go out of their way to make sure that you have a good experience. I bought all my prom dress from them in the past. My sister got her wedding dress from here. They did a amazing job on all of the dresses. They also have a tux section (We went else where to get our tuxs). I would highly recommend Bridal Elegance for your wedding and special occasions attire.
Really don’t deserve a star. Customer service was disgusting. We didn’t make an appointment but should have been treated better. I’m guessing after the woman saw the father of the bride had tattoos the stuffy thing directed us to the “less expensive short dress section “ We were looking at long gowns. Never again! We went to David’s bridal and was greeted immediately and went home with the most beautiful gown! It brought that dad with tats to tears. Maybe bridal elegance should educate their salespeople to stop judging. Period. All money spends the same!
I walked in to see what dresses they had for a formal event. The owner walked passed ups said hello with her back turned to us so unprofessional! and when she looked at us she literally looked at us from feet to head as if we were wasting her time by the look of our appearance. Racial profiling at an all time high they were not helpful at all! Would not recommend. All these reviews of people saying they had a great experience are apparently not brown or black at all!
This place was FAR better than Davids. They were nicer, had better ways of adjusting the dresses to you, had my sizes, and helped me find dresses I liked! I would tell Amber what I did and didnt like about my dress and she would find dresses that more matched my needs! It was wonderful!! She was so nice and really cared about me! Thank you so much for helping me make my day! I feel amazing and like a godess in my dress and cant wait to be married in it!!
I absolutely loved my experience when I went shopping for my wedding dress. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and full of compliments. They listened to what I wanted and picked so many dresses I loved that I had a hard time choosing! The prices do start a little higher than some places but totally worth it! I would definitely recommend making an appointment for Bridal Elegance in Erie, PA! Thank you
My experience was amazing with Bridal Elegance! I emailed them in early February to ask about the availability of a specific dress. They replied quickly to let me know they didnt have it but assured me they had similar styles and offered to schedule an appointment. Before my appointment, they informed me of their covid policies and restrictions in place. When I arrived, they were welcoming, wearing masks, and allowed me to pick out dresses I wanted to try on. They have a gorgeous assortment! My mother-in-law and I were escorted to a private dressing room and helped me get in and out of almost 10 dresses in about an hour. They complimented styles and offered recommendations, but I never felt like they were being pushy. When I went in, I wasnt planning on buying. It was my first time trying on dresses, and I thought I should try on a few more.I couldnt stop thinking about one of their dresses, so I checked in Washington and Oregon to buy it closer to home, but no one else had it. I emailed Bridal Elegance once again, and they shipped it to me!I cannot wait to have the dress! Thank you, Bridal Elegance!
If youre looking for excellent service and attentiveness, this is the place. Love Suzanne. Stop here before you go anywhere else. You wont be disappointed.
Great personalized services. Found just the dress I needed.
Have nicely priced dresses and gowns.
1 employee ruined my entire experience. It was not about what I wanted as a bride. It was about how she felt things should be... it’s 2021, not everyone has a “traditional” wedding.....I did get a beautiful dress.
Thank you Christine for such lovely service.
One star is too many for this dive.I have to say that I am in complete and utter shock on how Christine the owner just conducted herself when I requested a refund of my deposit on my daughter’s prom dress due to Covid cancellations.I explained to her my hardship with the Covid shutdown. She suggested I have a prom at home. Her tone was rude and completely cold.I have to say that I’ve worked in high end sales my entire adult life and have never experienced such lack of professionalism and class. When asked for a store credit she told me that I’m lucky she doesn’t go after me for the balance of the dress that she still has.In this time of uncertainty the way the Owner Christine, handled herself and spoke to a loyal customer is disgraceful! Please do yourself a favor, read past reviews! Read her snarky comments and condescending tone!Give your business to someone who will appreciate it and deserves it!Not only will she rip you off, she’ll do it with a smile!Mother of four plus all their friends,Nichole Goodman
Homecoming was a short notice event because of Covid. I knew even if we could find a dress alterations were going to be tough. We ran in yesterday after school. The staff was helpful and my daughter found a dress quick with their help. We came in this afternoon for her fitting. We will pick up her dress next week WITH matching mask (stupid covid). Thanks for making sure her special event is perfect.
Absolutely Wonderful Store for All your Bridal and Mom of the Bride needs. Alterations are impeccable!!! Staff is so Nice and helpful!!! I got my Mom of the Bride gown there and I am Completely Pleased...Go there for Your Bridal or Elegant Evenings needs...You wont be disappointed!!!
Managers and employees want the sale and nothing else. They are all about money and not about the customer. Worse bridal store I would highly recommend going somewhere that will be more accommodating.
So sad. We paid $365 for a prom dress, I paid in full - dress was never altered. Then COVID happened and no prom. We were hoping my daughter could wear it for homecoming, then no homecoming. I was hoping for some store credit - even half of what I paid - as the owner kept telling us she had 400 prom dresses in the back and she is nice enough not to charge the people who only paid half the other half. I get punished because I paid in full. The owner was rude and miserable. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Most businesses are giving some leniency here but not bridal elegance. The owner lost all of my future business which would have been way more than the cost of this dress.
My wife had nothing but good things to say about Bridal Elegance- See below:Joanne and Chris at Bridal Elegance helped me out so much! From the time I called for an appointment to my in-store experience, it was all wonderful. Joanne really listened to the style of dress that I was looking for and chose dresses that I loved. She worked quickly to bring gown options, but was also patient in the decision-making/deliberation process. They were sympathetic to my stressful situation in this being my second gown due to alteration nightmares on my first gown that was way too large. They ordered me a size that would only need minor alterations. Chris was clearly knowledgeable of the alterations needed and easily answered any questions I had. She showed me how it would be bustled, measured me for a proper height measurement on the gown to be ordered, and explained what minor alterations would be needed. She followed up with me as she said she would by phone to let me know when the dress would be in and to schedule my fitting with the seamstress. The seamstress did an outstanding job on my lace dress! Everything was perfect. She dealt with my feedback well when I was unsure of a certain area, and she easily fixed it.I would absolutely recommend this helpful team of ladies at Bridal Elegance!
Everyone here was super friendly especially Suzanne; she was wonderful! She was so nice and helped me find my dream wedding dress. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be back to look for bridesmaid dresses.
We had visited other bridal salons (sans appointments) and knew we did not need a lot of time, as the bride had narrowed down what style of dress she wanted. We were not in search of the whole experience, but were not even given the slightest chance to express our needs. We were told immediately that there was no way we could try on dresses without an appointment. This was confusing because the store was empty and there was an entire row of dressing rooms. Every question was met with annoyance and each request met with decline. No attempt was made to schedule an appointment and we left quickly, very disappointed and baffled at the lack of customer service. Big mistake...BIG MISTAKE.
I had the most amazing experience finding my wedding dress here! I had to make a Saturday appointment because we live an hour and a half away and I wanted my three sisters, mom and best friend to be able to attend. We brought my 14 month old niece (my future flower girl) and the whole shop was great with her.Our assistant Cassie went above and beyond. She gave us a tour of the different gowns and prices available and then let my entourage and I have fun picking a wide variety of styles to try. I had never tried any wedding dresses on before and I didn’t expect to purchase a dress that day. However after I had tried a few gowns my sisters picked out, Cassie got a feel for what I wanted and what would compliment my figure. She came back to the dressing room with two dresses she thought might work. It was Cassie who ended up finding my wedding dress! I love it and I just want to thank Cassie again for her amazing service. She was so sweet and never made me feel uncomfortable or pressured. She was knowledgeable and positive the entire time and truly made me feel like a bride for the first time. Thank you,Cassie!
I spoke to the owner regarding my concernsBiggest one not having the seamstress there for my final fitting. I don’t want to put down the business completely because I shared my experience with the owner and hopefully that won’t happen again
Wanting to support local, I excitedly made an appointment at Bridal Elegance. However, down right rude, is the only way to explain my entire experience. I made an appointment, even choosing an afternoon one since they told me that was a less busy time and they would have more time for me. I arrived on time and was met with nothing but sighs- you would have thought I just walked in off the street and demanded I be helped. Once they showed me the one rack of dresses that would fit me and the other one that might fit me, the staff member then told me she would go find out which who was stuck with me, since she would not actually be helping me. I may not be the skinniest girl around, but you would have thought I was well beyond my 12/14 with the way they treated me. I found one dress I was interested in, when I asked if they had another in a similar style I was told In your size? no. So I said thank you for your time and left. Luckily I had MUCH better luck in Pittsburgh, I was able to try on many dresses, some too small and some too big. But best of all those stores treated me respectfully and I found the dress of my dreams at MarWin Bridal- well worth the drive. Save your time and money.
Davids bridal was closed so we went to bridal elegance. My mother was excited and was looking through the selection. It took about 20 minutes or more for any of the 3 or 4 people to ask us if we needed anything. We told them what we were looking for and they showed us a small section and walked away. We didnt find anything particularly engaging. She came back and said they get new stuff in November And walked away again. So after showing no interest in waiting on us we walked around trying to see if we could find a dress for me to wear as a bridesmaid. We found one that was lovely but too small. We went to find an employee to ask if there were other sizes and they said no. And they run small. Over all it was very disheartening for my mother and it felt awful being ignored. It just felt like they had no interest in serving us. Well probably not be returning. I hope the woman and her family who apparently found a lovely dress and had great service had a good time because we did not.
This place has been amazing. I found my dress during a trunk show that they recommended I attend based on my interests. I found the perfect dress with the help of Amber. She made the day run so smoothly and it was truly enjoyable. She actually let my little flower girl go shopping for my dress which made her day. On top of that every encounter from bridesmaids dress shopping to my dress fitting have been so enjoyable and easy. I havent been stressed at all. They have great use of technology for letting the bride know about dresses being purchased in the bridal party and reminder texts. I couldnt imagine going anywhere else.
My friend and I came into the store wanting to look at different bridal gown styles for my wedding that is about a year and a half away. I understand this is still a lot of time, but getting a head start is always good. After someone came over to help us and get myself registered, I told the woman my wedding date. After this she seemed to take my being there as a joke. She took the dresses I had and helped me to get into them without saying anything or holding a conversation. Every time I made a comment about a dress it was met with the same “yes it’s gorgeous” afterwards. Every time. I feel I wasn’t taken seriously as a first time bride and they really put a damper on my dress searching. I don’t think I’ll be going back to Bridal Elegance to find my wedding dress whenever the time comes.
I cannot thank Amber and Cassie from Bridal Elegance enough. As much as I didn’t want to admit it, I became that bride that didn’t love my dress anymore. Amber pulled so many different dresses for me, added accessories, and dealt with my “I don’t knows” to all of her questions. She was so patient with me the entire night, trying to figure out what it was that I loved. I would highly recommend asking for Amber if you are lost about what you want and just want someone that is going to go the extra mile for you. Cassie also was a huge help. She told me straight out what looked good and what didn’t. I loved that she didn’t sugar coat anything. Thank you so much Bridal Elegance! I no longer have anxiety about my dress!
We had an appointment with Cassie yesterday and she was so great! She was able to help my daughter stay on budget was extremely nice and funny. She made sure my daughter was happy in every aspect and did everything she could to make this a perfect experience for my daughter-the bride to be, and my daughter-in-law and myself. She had us all laughing and was just extremely nice yet very professional. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase wedding attire!
I live in Ohio and I got referred to Bridal Elegance by a friend and I can’t say enough good things about them! So accommodating and easy to work with! There staff is incredible and extremely helpful! so many dresses to pick from and beautiful shoes and accessories! I would recommend them to anyone! Worth the hour and half drive from Cleveland!
I had a very small budget for my wedding dress, and I went on a Saturday. The girl I worked with picked out about 6 that were within my budget range, and the first one she picked out I tried on first and ended up buying it. Bridal Elegance had to do SO MUCH WORK because it was a lace applique on the bottom with pockets. They hand picked all the applique off to shorten the dress, and I wanted the cleavage area filled in. They really can do anything there to modify your dress!!
The worst customer service experience Ive ever had, will never recommend anyone to this place. Im a business owner and would never treat anyone as I was treated. These people will rip you off no matter the situation, be wise take your business somewhere else.
Dont underestimate this shop. We checked out the huge dress stores out of town, thinking that they would have so much to offer. They did not come close to the excellent service and selection that we found at Bridal Elegance. Very impressed with the owner and staff. Each one of them were professional, courteous, and it was obvious that they know what they are doing to help you select the dress of your dreams.
I had a great experience here! It was the first place I looked for a bridal gown and I found a dress that had everything I wanted! The staff were great and their service did not disappoint. Best place in Erie for brides!
Thank goodness for the many hands at Bridal Elegance who helped to make my wedding day exquisite. I didnt hire a wedding planner, but I didnt need one with the help of Bridal Elegance. They handled every aspect of attire -- my dress and alterations, mother of the bride dress, bridesmaids and flower girls dresses -- with kid gloves. Special kudos go to them for working tirelessly to get my bustle just right and for reconstructing a ladies-sized bridesmaid gown to fit a 9-year-old. They were up-front with availability and if a wedding party member or I was cutting it too close with a deadline. They were willing to offer their opinion on the overall look of the day while respecting that it was my decision. People are still commenting about my dress, and Ive had multiple people ask, Did you go to Kleinfeld? Their stock is AMAZING and on-trend! Shop local in Erie! Also, dont forget about Bridal Elegance for ordering INVITATIONS! I worked with Suzanne and she helped me through the tedious process of wording and avoiding any flubs.Hats off to the staff at Bridal Elegance. They made me feel like my wedding was their own.
I went to buy my wedding dress-which for me was very stressful since I had been to several other places without any luck. Staff was great at understanding my style, suggesting styles that would be flattering... And I found my dress! They also do wedding invitations and set up individual consultations for to help people write the best invitation. Communication was great. I was so thrilled to find this place that is a local business and amazing service.
I emailed the staff at bridal elegance a week before I made my appointment. My wedding is in October and I was very apprehensive about being able to find a dress in short order. I got a quick and assuring reply that they would be able to help. I was about 10 minutes late for my appointment and my assistant was still so kind. I cannot even begin to say what a positive experience I had. She immediately began giving me professional information about what colors were in season and I was so grateful and astonished by all of the useful, stylish information she shared with me throughout the day. On their website, the appointment you make is only for a 90 minute session and let me tell you...I stayed well over 2.5 hours. My consultant never got pushy and never acted rushed. She assured me that I was well on my way to finding the perfect dress and encouraged me to take the weekend, think about what I liked and come in for a second session. My consultant made me feel like an absolute princess and shared so many creative tips along the way. Cant wait to go back next weekend! :)
Confused as to why so many negative reviews. I called Saturday morning and made my appointment but I was 10 minutes late. My assigned associate was already by the door talking to my family that got there before me. She asked what I liked and allowed me to browse. After looking we grabbed some and headed back to my dressing room. After trying on about 4 I tried on one that fit almost perfectly and I loved it. My associate Amber was joking with us and very friendly the entire time. We were allowed to take pictures. My dress was VERY fair priced compared to other bridal shops in the area. No clue as to why everyone thinks theyre over priced. I even tried on some around 600.They had 2 full racks of 99.00 dresses. If you are a soon to be bride looking for the perfect dress you should check them out! The only comment I have for bridal elegance is bring me some shoes to wear while trying on, I guess I should of asked however I probably would of bought if she had me wear some comfy heels!
My daughter said yes to the dress at Bridal Elegance! Her consultant Cassie was wonderful! Thanks to Cassie and the staff at Bridal Elegance for a wonderful experience! You truly made my daughter Brooke a very happy and excited bride to be.
First thing...whenever I make an appointment, I never get seen til about 20 minutes afterward... very frustrating. As a bridesmaid...I have a lot to complain about. Firstly, the dresses are WAY too expensive. My dress was $200. And let me tell you, on the wedding day it ripped like paper. The bottom of my dress got shredded. I was so mad that now I cant even get any more use out of it since I paid so much. The other girls in that party had to pay an additional $100 for them to alter them. One dress we couldnt zip up 20min before the wedding! We were frantically trying to pin it together. Another dress they took in too much so she couldnt breathe. she didnt want to pay another $50 to let it out since it was THEIR mistake. Also, my dress at the top kept falling out. I tried filling out my dress with extra cups (which probably will be seen in the pictures the bride gets back) and it still looked horrible. Skin tape wouldve made the dress look even worse. Now when I looked for my wedding dress there, the attendant helping me was very nice. She was a younger girl. I did not find my dress there because they were too expensive and none of them were the one
In the beginning, Bridal Elegance was wonderful. They have SUCH a beautiful variety of wedding gowns for every type of bride and every brides budget. They also have the best selection of bridesmaids dresses I have found in store. I said yes to a dress, and then a few months later changed my mind and they were so wonderful and accommodating and let me change my wedding gown with no headaches. Every bridal consultant I came in contact with was fabulous, but that unfortunately is where my praise ends.I live an hour and a half away from Erie, and I have a local seamstress at home who I should have gone to, but I decided to get my alterations done at Bridal Elegance because I figured they know their gowns and theyve all been so friendly. I should have stuck with my gut, because the alterations experience was an absolute nightmare. I was not in control of my own dress, I was told no when I asked for my dress to be taken in more, and when I went to pick up my dress, which they were kind enough to get it finished early for me, the seamstress didnt even come into the room to see the finished product or ask me if I was happy with how it looked (I was not).I ended up taking my dress to my local seamstress so that my dress could be what I wanted, since my requests were not being fulfilled here, and mind you I already paid for these alterations on my dress that were not what I wanted to begin with, and I expressed this to the seamstress and I was denied my requests. At the first alterations appointment at Bridal Elegance, the seamstress pricked her finger, which I found blood on one of the buttons after taking my dress home and taking it to my local seamstress. I paid for my dress to be pressed, and after it was pressed, they pinned the train around a hanger, which created creases in my train and now I will need to get it pressed again. I have to get the bustle ties changed because the ones that were put on it will not hold my dress. The seam in front of my dress is uneven, which made the hem uneven. Long story short, I now have to pay an additional $360 to fix what was messed up, and now my wedding dress will finally be what I want, but no thanks to Bridal Elegance. If youre looking for beautiful gowns, you will definitely find them here, but I highly recommend getting alterations done elsewhere.
I went to Bridal Elegance on Saturday July 7, 2018 and I could write a never ending review in the ways that it was a terrible experience from beginning to end. This was unfortunate as this was the first shop I looked at for a wedding dress. My mother and I were in the store 15 minutes and saw every employee there, yet no one offered to help us or said they would be with us as soon as they could. My mother finally asked where the plus size dresses were located and was pointed in the right direction. Again, no one was interested in helping me or bothered to ask if they could help me find anything specific. We then stood at the counter where at least 3 sales associates passed us without offering to help. I told my mother that we could leave and I would simply go elsewhere. Before leaving my mother went back in the store to approach the employees to ask why the service was so poor and was rudely told that all the employees were helping other people. My mother explained that if anyone had taken the time to acknowledge that we were in the store, we would not have left. All is well that ends well because I found my dress at David’s, but I will never step foot in this store again. Save yourself a trip and shop elsewhere!
I had a lovely experience at Bridal Elegance! From scheduling a consultation over the phone, to the appointment itself, to calling with a quick question the next morning, these ladies are so pleasant and happy to accommodate! On the day of my appointment, I called ahead to ask if I could bring an extra couple of people than the 4 or 5 that they ask you to cap it at (for the other brides sake!) and they graciously said it would not be a problem, as it was a slow day. Denise was my consultant, and she was so great! To the point, focused, sassy, funny and personable, she streamlined the entire appointment while offering bits of information about dresses and wedding day advice along the way. I felt as though she was truly intuitive about what I was envisioning and intentional in helping me to find it. I walked away having purchased a beautiful wedding dress, and I have Denise and Bridal Elegance to thank for that!
I had the best time when I went here this past July and ending up finding my dress. All of the ladies that work there are lovely and so kind! The girl that was assisting me listened to me and helped me find something that made me feel beautiful and within my budget. The manager was also very understanding and helpful when it came to making a deposit! Would recommend!
Maryanne was fantastic! Patient and kind definitely will be recommending her!! Thank you for the great experience!
I could not be more pleased with bridal elegance. Everyone was so nice from the very first time we walked in. They were extremely helpful in picking out dresses, and were cautious of my price point. My dress had to be taken in a lot, so I was pretty nervous it would not fit. I had multiple fittings, but each time we would find a new place that needed something taken in. When I went in the Monday before my wedding to pick it up, the dress was still too big! (not due to any fault of theirs, I am pretty tiny so it was a lot that needed altered) To my relief, I didnt even have to mention it to them; they immediately noticed the problems the dress had and went to work fixing it. They ended up staying an hour after closing, working on my dress. I never once had to be pushy in order to get my dress fixed. They wanted it to be just as perfect as I did. I know other brides who had to fight with their salon in order for their dress to be fixed. I am so thankful I bought my dress from a place that pays careful attention to detail and will do whatever it takes to ensure the dress was perfect.
I purchased my wedding gown as well as my bridesmaid dresses from bridal elegance. I was very pleased with everything up until the second fitting. My only concern was the hem. My last fitting she couldn’t figure out what the dress was doing on the bottom but she had to redo my hem three times. Very friendly and made us all laugh about it because we were just as confused as her. I was so pleased with my experience up until picking up my gown the week of my wedding. The hem was too short and you could see my shoes and I was not pleased. After talking to Chris she stated she couldn’t do anything about it and continued questioning if I did anything wrong and if my body changed any which I found extremely rude. She threw all blame onto me. I brought up numerous times that they had issues with the hem on multiple occasions but she kept stating they hem exactly where she pins and they wouldn’t mess that up. After discussing nothing has changed she stretched the dress and it worked out. The day of my wedding the dress fit perfectly and the hem was perfect when I got into the dress for the first few hours but as I walking down the aisle when the ceremony began my dress magically became extremely long in the front and soooo uneven. Both my bridesmaid and maid honor looked and nothing ripped or came undone anywhere they could see besides maybe the hem coming undone in the front of my dress. I was EXTREMELY upset and annoyed as I had to pick my dress up the entire reception and my photos looked ridiculous. I ended up stepping on the dress multiple times and finally had to safety pin the front up which looked horrible especially on your wedding day. I was very excited to wear my dress the day of the wedding but it ended being a big disappointment.
I was thinking about getting a formal gown for a banquet I was going to. Being that it was last minute I didnt have enough time to shop around. I dont usually go dress shopping so I wasnt quite sure on what I was looking for. But the dress shop attendant was little to no help. I told them my concerns and my likes but they seem to be lost on how to help me. So I continued looking around for a little bit and then left. It wasnt because they didnt have a dress I would be interested in but I think they just had better things to do.
The ladies here went above and beyond for me since I was so unsure of what I wanted.Thank you so much, even when I was having my doubts my dress turned out beautifully.
Let me put this simple, I have been to countless boutiques in the Buffalo area, because thats where I currently reside. I will ALWAYS recommend Bridal Elegance to everyone in the buffalo area and all surrounding areas because no other boutique has the professionalism, honesty, and urgency as Bridal Elegance does. My sister got scammed by a boutique in Buffalo for bridesmaid dresses. Long story short-the bridesmaid dresses never came in. Bridal Elegance saved her wedding! They were able to get my sister 8 beautiful bridesmaid dresses in one week. Try to find a boutique that will go above and beyond like that. My sister also got her wedding dress from Bridal Elegance and it was FLAWLESS. I am now getting married in December, and will only go to Bridal Elegance for my dress as well as my entire bridal party. You will not be dissapointed. Take it from someone who has been to countless boutiques and whose sister got scammed by a boutique. Worth the hour and a half drive for me every time! Love love love this bridal shoppe!
Some of these reviews are awful but I had a wonderful experience there. As the bride I was treated like a princess. The woman who helped me was so sweet and patient. she helped me and my bridesmaids pick out dresses for me. They were very flexible with me being an out of town bride and accommodated me in every way. My alterations were perfect. My dress was everything I wanted it to be. Everyone was so sweet and helpful every time I was there. I understand that they dont let you take pictures until you purchase the dress. Most retailers do not. I have also had bridesmaid experiences with them and they were also great.
I should have gotten her name but the girl who waited on me when i was just looking was so nice. She showed me the colors and options and even good price options since all my bridesmaids are mommas. Cant wait to go back for my dress hope we still have a good experience.
Was in last night to pick out a dress for an upcoming event, I got VIP service from Cassie, Taylor and Chris! I want to personally thank you all for making what could of been a stressful night so easy! I dislike shopping for dresses and clothing in general. What I liked so much is that you were pleasant you all went above and beyond to help me choose something in my size and style and you didnt leave me stranded with an overwhelming selection lol! Thank you so much for the top notch service! Sincerely, Hayley Borgia
Beautiful store. We were so excited so go in and dress shop. The consultant had no patience with us at all. We were on dress # 6 and she seemed frustrated. We just werent finding what we wanted. I asked her if we were starting to drive her crazy and her response was Now you are!! Maybe you should go to lunch and come back!! We drove 2 1/2 hours south to Sorelle in Washington, PA. From the moment we walked in the door, it was the amazing experience we were looking for. She said Yes to the perfect dress and under budget.
To summarize: RUDE. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND.I went into this establishment 3 times(over the course of 4 months) before today, every time looking for a black dress or a strapless ball gown. EVERY time before today I was advised to come back in January. “We will have more options in January, come back then.” No one ever helped me beyond that or mentioned that I have to set up an appointment. I was in the store for over 30 minutes and was not offered any help at all. When I approached the counter to ask for help I was rudely told that she’s going on lunch and I HAVE to set up an appointment. I explained that I had been in the store previously and this was never mentioned to me. She just huffed and puffed, then said she could make an appointment. Honestly, how can they expect people to spend hundreds of dollars with their store if they’re going to be treated in this manner?
I love this store. I needed a special occasion dress I had shopped in both Florida and Boston and just had no luck.. walk into Bridal elegance and with the help of Amber in no time I had a dress..thank you Bridal Elegance!!
I was very pleased with the customer service we received today at Bridal Elegance! the manager and staff were very helpful and ultimately we didnt get a dress there but we still were very pleased with service we received. We would recommend them to anyone!
Went with niece to find a dress. Some many beautiful ones to choose from!
Excellent experience finding my dream wedding dress! Extremely helpful! They listen to what you want and what you dont want. You wont be let down by Bridal Elegance! Excellent service!
Terrible. Bridal Ignorance would be a more fitting name. I would NEVER recommend going here. One star is too many. Our consultant was rude to everyone, even the mother of the bride. Very snappy. Didnt accommodate to what the BRIDE wanted. It was truly a terrible experience for all of us.We went to Davids Bridal WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT and were treated a million times better than here.
My daughter and I were looking for a prom dress. We walked in with no appointment. We were completely satisfied with their large selection of prom dresses; not bridesmaides dresses being passed off as prom dresses. We browsed and were pleased that they also offered a large selection of plus size prom dresses too. Once we selected dresses to try on, a very kind and helpful sales associate helped my daughter to the dressing room. Once we decided on a dress (one that just happened to be on sale), that same associate helped us pick out jewelry which stayed within our budget. We were completely satisfied with our experience at Bridal Elegance.
The staff was wonderful and the dresses were gorgeous. A great shop to buy a prom dress at.
I have only positive things to say about my experience at Bridal Elegance. The staff has been more than accommodating with the extensive alterations on my wedding dress. It is no secret that when you go into this salon that you are probably going to spend atleast $1,000 on a wedding dress. This is a typical price of a wedding dress if you dont go to Davids Bridal or Alfred Angelo. Giving this salon a low rating based on the fact the dresses are more expensive than these chains is not fair. Bridal Elegance is the place to go in Erie if you want a beautiful dress with exceptional customer service.
The attendant helping me clearly looked bored the entire time. She rushed me through several dresses and pretty much told me I wont find anything nice in the price range I was looking for (under 700). So unless you plan on spending at least 1500, dont waste your time with these people.
Best bridal experience ever!!!! I found my wedding dress here first time shopping!!!! The staff are amazing, kind, friendly, helpful, dont rush you through the appt, focus on you the bride not 100 other appts, the store is very clean and organized. Seriously this is the best bridal place ever. If you debating between this store and Davids Bridal. Go here! Go to Bridal Elegance.
Great customer service. Left happier than ever with a beautiful dress :)
Disappointing I have no idea how they are still in business. My mother and I ordered our dresses for my sisters September wedding in early March. We never received notification when our dresses arrived. We had to call 2 months later and were told they had arrived weeks ago. We both scheduled alterations in July and were assured the dress would be ready September 16th (the wedding is September 21st). My mothers dress was ready Wednesday, Sept. 11th. When we came to pick the 2 dresses up we were informed my dress would not be ready...and when I asked when it would be ready the attendant said to me the weddings not until Sept. 21st....... so....I guess I dont need my bridesmaid dress prior to the wedding? Two days later I got the notification my dress was ready.. I went to pick up my dress the following Wednesday, Sept. 18th. As I am about to try on my dress the fabric insert for the bra I was purchasing wasnt completed. I was told it would be 2 seconds to take care of....half hour later I am still waiting for my finished alterations. No associate has once apologized for the inconvenience. And my mother and I are just standing at the cash wrap being ignored by all the employees. Save your money and go somewhere else. Its not worth the hassle.Response from my review continues to show absolutely no real apology for the unnecessarily long wait for unfinished alterations and absolutely no acceptance that they screwed up. Sure they did it on the spot, but 45 minutes for a two second job is nothing to brag about. I still would like to know why no apology was offered while we were there. They also have yet to provide me with a reason why we were never contacted when the dresses first came in. I guess keep up your lack of interest in your customer base maybe youll last for another 38 years....highly doubtful. Maybe training the staff on saying hello when someone enters a business would go a long way..those skills we are taught at a young age, but somehow all five visits to your shop and not one employee ever said hello to us upon entry.
Went here to look at wedding dresses while waiting to get my nails done with my friend who just got engaged. The women with whom we had an appointment was nothing but negative, extremely quiet and awkward. We are young, both 21, wore jeans and t-shirts and set up an appointment on a whim, all of which she seemed to greatly disapprove. She didnt assist my friend by getting more dresses for her to try on, or suggesting accessories or alterations. It was obvious she couldnt wait to get out of our appointment, which was cut short since she was no help at all. Its really too bad she judged on appearances since we bought a dress later that day for $17,499. Seeing as it was my friends first time trying on dresses, this place was a huge disappointment. Would not recommend.
My mom and i were looking for a mother of the bride dress for her for my wedding. We werent in there for 20 minutes and constantly had people basically pushing us to buy a dress. We told everyone we were JUST LOOKING and they kept pushing to buy.
My mother purchased a dress at Bridal Elegance for my sister’s wedding. She loved the dress but hated the alterations experience. The head seamstress told my mom she didn’t need any alterations at all, when she first purchased the dress. Then, 4 days before the wedding, my mother noticed that the bottom part of the zipper wasn’t laying correctly and was sticking out like a tail. We went back and looked at the pictures from the day the dress was first purchased, and the zipper was sticking out then as well. The same head seamstress was there that day and she neglected to point out this very serious flaw. The seamstress insisted that was how the dress material was and even went as far to say that the problem was there because my mom has a ‘sagging butt’. She is supposed to be the ‘expert’ and instead of making my mom feel confident and beautiful she tore her down and body shamed her.And that’s not where it ends. Once the problem was pointed out to the seamstress, instead of working with us to make the problem better, she made things very difficult. My mom returned to the store 3 days in a row trying on the dress about 20 times to see if the problem was fixed. The problem was not fixed and the woman seemed very agitated every time my mom tried the dress on. She wanted my mom to accept the dress as it was. Not to mention, after the seamstress finally did her job and fixed the problem, they charged my mom for this ‘alteration’. This was a major disappointment and not something that my mom should of had to deal with days before the wedding. I would never recommend this store to anyone.
I rated this so negatively because there is one particular employee who has been rude to multiple family members. She is older, has dark hair, and glasses. She over estimated my dress to the point it had to be taken in multiple inches. She insulted another family member by telling her to get spandex because her stomach wouldnt look flattered in the dress she was getting. Other staff have had attitudes. The younger staff seem to be friendlier, but I will be avoiding this store in the future and not recommending it for future purchases. Its a shame because the dresses they have are gorgeous.
No one can beat the seamstress Christine! She makes up for some not so customer friendly associates.
Terrible place. Prom dress shopping with my daughter and we were told that they were short staff and could not help us or even let us look at the prom dresses. I told her we came from out of town and she told us to go to the mall.
I went for the trunk show. Mother of the bride for 2 daughters. I couldnt be happier with the service I received.
I had three different experiences. The first one(for my sisters wedding) was absolutely horrible. We were ignored and stood around for 30 minutes before we left. It was quite a shock that my second experience was so great. The consultants pick is actually my dress and well under my budget. She was attentive and reassuring when I had a mini melt- down. (I had previously tried on 30+ other gowns). The third time was also very helpful(probably bc I bought my wedding dress through them) the consultant worked with my sassy bridesmaids to put together a custom dress. She remained friendly throughout the whole experience but also seemed like she was bored. All in all on average ok!
Worst experience ever, will never shop here again. Some of the people working there should not represent this company, they have no idea how to treat a customer. If your unhappy working in customer service i suggest you find another line of work.
We got our dresses for our wedding here. The bridesmaids dresses were ordered several sizes to large. My brother measured his fiance at home and called in her measurements and her dress only needed the straps taken up but the dresses that were measured by Christine were all way too big . At the time of the fittings the girls really didnt like the dresses due to the fact that they were so huge they couldnt tell how they were supposed to fit and what they were supposed to look like when they fit right. When we went to pick up the dresses 2 of the dresses still were too big. We were even charged again for the alterations on one of the dress when it was picked up the second time. The girls that helped pick out the dresses were awesome and my dress was beautiful but only 3 of the 5 bridesmaid dresses actually fit right on the wedding day . One of them was so loose in the chest area even after i told the seamstress it was still too big that a shall was worn all night to make her comfortable . With the cost of the alterations im disappointed that the girls still felt uncomfortable. Also scheduling a fitting for out of town bridesmaid was not good at all. The dresses were late arriving and plans to come were not able to be made until the dresses arrived. Once they arrived they planned a trip here and were given a bad attitude about having to fit them in for the fitting. Last but not least one of the bridesmaids was insulted by being told she needed to wear spanks or her stomach was going to look unflattering. In this day in age thats the last thing a 18 year old needs told. Overall with the exception of the lovely ladies who helped us look for the dresses and who were kind and tried to make us feel better and the fact that myself as the bride found the perfect dress for me I am not recommending bridal elegance to others . Im not one to complain and was so easy going with the process but i needed to express my displeasure . Thankfully nothing was going to ruin our day. Jennifer Fisher -Wilkinson
Not only did they lose my top two dresses on file but the customer service was horrible. Finding your wedding dress is supposed to be fun. For me my experience was ruined. Not to mention my first time there I walked around waiting for help for 45 minutes before anyone acknowledged me but theyre did it a second time as well. Only reason Im giving 2 stars is because they remembered to call and ask if I wanted my last option... she spent about 20 minutes with me and then rushed me out. She also seemed very upset that I wanted to try them on like maybe she had something else to do.
My friend and I went in so I could try on dresses for the first time. I came in very excited, but was treated as an inconvience. The woman that helped me was extremely negative and did not make me feel like a priority. I was really disappointed and would not reccomend this place to anyone
I made a last minute appt this morning, but none-the-less, an APPOINTMENT for 3pm today. I showed up 15 minutes early and browsed some of their outrageously over-priced bridesmaid dresses. To give an example, a specific rose gold gown that they have on display for over $200 is nearly the exact same dress that my girls bought on amazon but with more cheaply made material for a whopping $70 plus shipping. But I didnit let this deter me. In stead, I waited for my sales person to come greet me and instead, had my name hollered from the front desk to come back to her. Customer service tip...go up and greet your appointments with a smile and a handshake. I gave some information for the computer and then was told that I should expect to go up 4 dress sizes because that is how it works in bridal. Odd....I am a size 16 and fit perfectly into 14s at Davids Bridal, but hey...every place is different, so alright. I then am asked if I have any pictures to depict what it is that I was looking for in a dress. Sure enough, I had three saved from JJsHouse online that I had my eye on and pulled them up. Im then asked what my budget is because We definitely cant go that low. Well, you didnt ask me to see prices, you asked me to see pictures. Clearly a boutique is not going to run as low as what I saw online and that was made pretty clear after just looking at your bridesmaid dress prices. At any rate, I explain that I really like a chiffon look and a lace top but was shown quite a few dresses that really didnt match what I was looking for. There were two that I could see myself in that she pulled off of the rack and took back. The entire time, she is quite and not personable whatsoever and just plain awkward. She hands me a a strapless bra and a slip to put on. She helps me into the bra and then leaves me to put on the slip. Didnt fit whatsoever. i explain this to her and rather than grabbing another one that would fit (you cant tell me you dont have slips for plus size brides) she just tells me we wont use one. So I am standing there in my underwear, feeling incredibly self conscious with an already judgy consultant and she puts my first dress on and tell me to step on the platform. nothing. no words of encouragement or yays or nays (keep in mind I went with no family or friends because I am from Pittsburgh and will be getting married back there). I like it but Im not crazy about it. Into the next dress I go and same thing...its put on and she stands there awkwardly quiet. These women work on commission right? Horrible sales tactics. At this point I am done which wouldnt have mattered because there was no offer from her to go and pull any other dresses.Just a words to the wise....bridal gown try-ons should be an experience...something that is fun and charismatic and a good time. The women on the sales floor should empower and have personality.I will say that when I made the appointment on the phone, I did let them know that I would most likely not be purchasing today because I was wanting to see what they had to offer and compare it to a designer dress that I fell in love with at Davids Bridal. I can say that even if they had any decent looking dresses, I would have chosen the Davids Bridal path regardless due to the customer service. Davids Bridal told me how good I looked and the woman kept running back and forth with different dresses for me to try and their sizes are much more fitting to the US size scale. We were also going to rent our tuxes from the tuxedo dept but theyve also lost that business.Id also like to add that going through the reviews and seeing the response to their other negative reviews really increased my distaste. You are in the business of sales and customer service. Therefore, defending yourself to these poor experiences that multiple brides have had in your doors and creating excuses and reasons as to why things were the way they were really speaks volumes to me and should to anyone else. The customer is always right and an apology and resolution should be offered.
Staff was very helpful with a wide array of dresses.
Denise is magnificent. Always very helpful 😁
I have NEVER written a negative review on any company before, but I really felt the need to write this one based on the way I was treated at this store. I went into Bridal Elegance to let the management know that a dress, (which I thought I had only placed on hold,) was not what I wanted, that I had found another dress my son liked better (his wedding/his choice), and would like to get my deposit back. I had been told earlier that it would only cost me a restocking fee of $20, which I felt was fine and justified. But when I got there, it was a totally different story. I was told that I had actually purchased the dress and they had a no-refund policy. To be honest, I had put money down on the dress in order to prevent it from being sold until I made my decision as to purchase it or not. I used the word hold with the staff and so did they. Never had I said that I wanted to buy the dress, but I guess if you let them take money from you, that is indeed a purchase. I didnt know that. Lesson learned the hard way! She did end up refunding me half of what I put down, $60.00, but it wasnt just the money that bothered me, rather it was how I was treated. The manager that I spoke to was very confrontational and rude. She came to the register with a real chip on her shoulder and was very curt, upset, and, for lack of a better word, snotty. She told me that I had used up her staff time by being there and trying on dresses. Uhm...isnt that what the staff is supposed to do? Im quite certain that many people go in and try on dresses without making a purchase. Am I supposed to be penalized for that? She also stated that most people dont look for other dresses once they purchase one. My point exactly....I didnt think I HAD purchased one, rather I had just put it on hold! She berated me for thinking that their store could possibly keep a dress on hold for two months. How could I even think that was possible? Well, thats why I put $120 down and was willing to pay a restocking fee. Obviously, it was a misunderstanding and/or miscommunication between myself and their staff. Had this been handled differently and I had been treated with kinder words and s more respectful tone, I would never be writing this bad review. However, that wasnt the case. I will never go back to this store, and I recommend to those looking for a pleasant experience for your son or daughters wedding to look elsewhere as well.
Amber is the greatest!
I took my daughter here today febuary 18th 2017 and we found her bridal gown here and purchased it. When we first got here my daughter was sure about her dress so we went davids bridal where she had another apt. Davids bridal was awful! They put her into a prom dress dressing room. Gave her a consultent who didnt have time for her and then when we confronted the manager about how awful are experience was at david bridals they she dint have tine to speak to us about it. Now are experience at bridal elegence was tottally different. We were greeted by friendly staff as soon as we walked in. We were put with a wonderful consultent named jeanne. She knee everything about the dresses and was able to conpinsate all my request for my daughter. We didnt feel rushed. We felt welcomed at this store. When you get a consultant here they stick by your side only my daughter at the time. This place is amazing. This was the best bridal experience. We have ever had. If your a bride go here. They will give you the most comfortable and and relaxed experience ever.
This place sucks, I went in with my mother ready to buy a veil and a dress for her, and got 100% ignored. There where only two other people in there looking for dresses and at least 5works, we wherent even smiled at. Not worth the time to go in there.. Over priced.
Horrible experience getting a bridesmaid dress. They lost our information after the first visit. Our dress was supposed to come July 3rd. Around July 10th after hearing nothing from them we called and we were promised a tracking number by the 13th or 14th. Called them the 14th and they had no tracking number... At this point I was getting worried. They told me that the dress was guaranteed to be at the store Friday the 17th or it would be FREE. This is because the company guarantees that dresses will arrive no later than 2 weeks from the expected shipping date (the 3rd). When I called on Friday I finally got a tracking number... But the dress was still in California and hadnt left the warehouse (didnt get picked up by FedEx)... At this point I was pretty annoyed. I asked them about the refund but they said since it had a tracking label we would get no refund. In the same breath they began telling us that they never said anything about a refund. (even though they constantly told me Weve never had to give a free dress away so dont worry but they apparently have no policy like this? Why would they say anything about never giving away a dress for free if there was no policy like this?) They then PROMISED the dress would be here today (Monday).... BUT they dropped the ball again because according to the tracking number...... THEY STILL DIDNT MAKE SURE IT WAS PICKED UP.... This place is a joke. Even now every time I call they dont even know who I am and I have to explain EVERYTHING TO THEM. A guarantee obviously means nothing to their company... Hopefully the dress comes before my wedding... it is getting VERY close.. :(
Love this bridal shop!! Very helpful and kind staff!
Wonderful experience for my daughter ..
They will soon be out of business...guaranteed!
