Erie is my hometown and I dont get back often. I have wanted to try Lucky Louies the last several trips and finally got there this year. It is outstanding! It is already well known in Erie as a great place to grab a delicious hot dog and a drink. You can sit inside or outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I decided to get the Ruben hot dog and I was not disappointed. It. It was fresh made in front of my eyes and delicious.With so many choices, on my next trip I am sure to get several to take with me.

This place is AMAZING! If youre down with hot dogs, you wont regret stopping at this gem; Ive never been disappointed! Craft wieners, a ridiculous selection of craft beer, an off-kilter sense of humor, eye-poppingly artistic-looking food that tastes even better, and a blur-of-activity show put on by the nicest people around. Stop in this tiny joint and thank me later!

On a retirement trip for a friend of mine and this was our first stop for dining. It was an amazing choice. Everything was great, the service, the atmosphere, the beer, and the food.

Such a unique restaurant! There are many many different hot dog options to choose from and with the plethora of flavors and range of options you’re sure to find something that fits your taste! The beer section is fantastic, lots of local flavors to choose from as well as beers on tap. A true gem to the area, I’ll have to try it again before I leave!

These hot dog creations are so delicious that I always order two even though one is plenty! They have a diverse beer selection as well. The only negative thing I have to say is their Chicago dog is not authentic, but they still deserve five stars! And of course, yay for being dog friendly!

You won’t be disappointed! Huge beer and menu selection. Definitely a hidden gem. We stumbled upon Lucky Louie’s when we stayed at a hotel down the street and would definitely go back.

Love this place. Great food and a great beer selection to go with it.Despite what it looks like dont just throw toppings on hot dogs and hope for the best. Everything is well matched in flavors and compliments the other toppings well. Theyve got a little something for everyone depending on how adventurous (or not) you are.The staff is kind and always down for a good conversation. Ive never been disappointed with a visit.

I originally left 5 stars for Lucky Louies ~3 years ago (without a review) and it was truly one of my favorite stops when traveling in the area. The food is great and the dog/sausage selection is amazing. I love the Yinzer and look forward to it the 2-3 times per year I get to stop in.Fast forward to 2021 and I find myself considering a downgrade to 4. The beer selection is easily halved and a good chunk of what is left is now seltzers and ciders (thanks to current market trends). it almost seems like there was a passion that existed in years past, but is now faded or lost altogether. I understand the craft beer market is very saturated and not the cheapest, but to chop the options in half is brutal for beer lovers.The seating is now outside on wood chips in a tent. This doesnt bother me much as its obviously a COVID measure taken to mitigate issues with their VERY small interior seating area, but its worth noting if you were considering visiting during less-than-ideal weather.Overall? Definitely still a must-stop for a bite to eat but I wouldnt go out of my way if I was just thirsty.

Ive tried almost all of the dogs with no disappointments. Theres plenty of beverage choices, nice spots to sit outside, Real friendly staff. Ok,one complaint,they put so much stuff on the dogs I can only eat one. Alright, no complaints.

If you like a variety dog, and and assortment of brew, its a good stop. Went on Flag day 2021. Stopped there at about 11:30 in the afternoon. Service was fast, friendly and courteous. The hot dogs are a different and unique change of venue from ordinary. If you go, try something different that you may like. Be careful however as the location is in a small building with a few other businesses on PA Rte 97, and backing out onto the road requires sincere caution.

Omg! This place rocks! Go see Abby and her great staff to make the tastiest dogs youll ever have. They have So many awesome choices youll have to keep going back and try more and more variaties and specialties. Yo seriously the dogs here are insanely good. Might get a little tude like youre on Clark Street in Chicago in 1986 but for real for real you will also get a pierogi on a hot dog so whatever. Just chill its so good.

This place has long been known for their menu of unique and delicious hot dog creations, and large selection of beers. Covid-19 briefly knocked them down, but they got back up superbly... They created a large outdoor eating area, comprised of a wood chips/mulch base, and a good number of picnic tables spaced out adequately for the times we are in. They also have a pair of well-maintained porta-potties, next to a hot-water hand washing station. You order at an outdoor bar/window, take your beverage, find a table, and get called when your wieners are ready. The food is still as delicious as ever, and the entire outdoor setup seemed well-organized and clean.My wife and I dined there for lunch and had an excellent time; very glad we went!

Love these hotdogs! Recent college grad visiting for the ceremony and this was one of Erie’s must see food destinations I just had to show my family.Wish I could give them more then 5 stars because each of them agreed it was well worth a stop. Would 100% recommend to a friend.

This is a great novelty stop. They have an incredible array of hotdog choices! Plus cold beer! I love this place. Great place to take a motorcycle ride to. It can be easily missed, signage is humble.

My mouth is watering just remembering how the grill wafts all those yummy aromas at you as soon as you walk in the door! Then, to look at the menu, youd think heartily about each delectable dog dish! Great food! There are so many choices of dogs, and speaking of dogs they are dog friendly! My wife and I took my two labs there had some great hot dogs! They had the veggie dog for my wife, who doesnt eat meat. They also have treats for the pups. And what a great selection of beer!

Stopped here while driving through Erie. Great atmosphere, customer service, beer selection & hot dog selection. We tried 3 different dogs and all three were great, but we highly recommend the Happy Ending!. (See picture of Frank & Beans attached, which was also delicious!). Great place to go if youre looking for good food and a laid back atmosphere, though the place is pretty small in the winter without the patio so it may be hard for large groups during busy times. Also they have make your own 6 packs that you can take home, which was a nice bonus. Thank for a great experience!

Awesome little place to get great specialty hot dogs/sausages and craft beers. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; they even have me a free Yinzer since they messed up my order the first time (though I would have gladly paid for it anyway since it was delicious!)

We love this place so much, some really delicious hot dogs with combinations youd never have thought of. My husband and I love the Yinzer the most of all the hot dogs. The restaurant can be easy to miss - straight across from the Casino theres no large signs outside of it to indicate where it is. Sometimes it can be hard to find tables if its really busy (lunch time or weekends). They have some great specialty beers you can buy with your dogs. Love it!

I have been coming to this establishment for several years. Every visit is a positive experience.

Im not going to say this is the best restaurant in Erie, but Im not going to say it isnt either. If you like gourmet hot dogs and beer, well then it may be that it is. Ive been here twice now, not nearly enough, and I will absolutely go back again. The menu, I have no idea how they come up with so many different hot dog recipes. I also have no idea how they keep them straight when you order, but I enjoy sitting at the bar and talking with the cook and bartender as you wait for your wiener to be ready. The staff is friendly and make great conversation. The beer selection is even more vast than the hot dog selection. This place is unique, and worth a trip. My only complaint is that it isnt big enough! Sometimes, you cant find a seat! Not sure who Louie is, but I feel lucky having eaten here!

I had the breakfast beard, which consists of andouille sausage on French toasted bun and opted for the cream cheese add on. It was absolutely amazing. There was just the right mix of sweet and savory. It was a decent size so you can be fulfilled with one dog and a beer. They have happy hour deals for the draft beer. Its a small joint with limited seating but a cozy and friendly environment. I definitely recommend

The coziest place to get a beer (and specialty soda, try the black cherry !) and absolutely delicious weiner. They have absolutely amazing vegan options !!! They use Lightlifes jumbo smart dogs. I just asked to see their vegetarian/vegan menu and its labeled with highlighter if that item could be made completely vegan or not. They have lots of choices and your dogs will come loaded with toppings. I recommend trying the Asian Invasion if you can handle the heat of wasabi. Everything i tried was absolutely delicious and the best place to go if youre in Erie and want some good vegan grub.

Hole in the wall with some of the best food in Erie. Still under the radar, but its getting popular quick. Very low seating inside but a bunch outside. Dont let the price of each dog shy you away, theyre definitely worth it. If you can handle a little heat, Id highly recommend the blazing saddles, so good.

Great place to grab an amazing one of a kind Smiths weiner! The food combinations are out of this world! Service was excellent. You can sit inside, outside on the patio, or outside under the heated canopy. We opted for the canopy. There are heat lights above each table that can be turned on or off.The drink selection is pretty awesome too! So mant craft beers to choose from.My fiance is super picky when it comes to food and he absolutely loved it here! Cant wait to go back!Pictured is the Booty Call and the Happy Ending. Booty call has pulled pork, bbq sauce, mayo, and cole slaw all topped on a Smiths hot dog.Happy ending is a Smiths hot dog on a stick wrapped in brown sugar carmelized bacon.

First time visit. Been wanting to try it for the longest time. Finally made the effort to get there. Absolutely LOVED the experience. I had the Bob Loblaw with a Southern Tier 3X IPA. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, drink, and outdoor tent in the winter. So many options to choose from... Ill be back for sure.
