I was on a car trip from California and had an accident in Erie, PA. Bates Collision, David and his crew, took care of my car and did a wonderful repair job. They went through every detail of the repair job and double checked everything one more time, before they let me drive off the lot and start the long drive home to Los Angeles, David called me a few days later to make sure I had arrived safe and sound. Customer care at its very best!!

From beginning to end every effort was made to exceed my expectations. Communication is key and I never was left wondering what was going on or where they were in the process of repairing my car. When it was done they also washed, waxed, detailed the interior and dressed my tires. I felt like I was rolling out of the showroom with a new car. I cant think of anything more they could have done. Repairs were extensive on my 2012 Nissan Rogue after my son hit a deer on rte 99 going to Cambridge Springs. But Bates did a beautiful job on the car. Looks like new. Car was finished three days ahead of schedule.

Was very not pleased and will not be returning to them ever again. They use to be amazing and I have been to them 2 times before this last time was not good. Not sure if its because they changed places /people but will not be returning to them.

My car was done in 1 day,excellent work.They cleaned up the front interior of my car a bit put some air freshener in it.I had a San Francisco 49ner license plate on bumper they replaced that was damaged in accident. They took the time to put it in a ziploc bad with the screws & left it on passenger seat for me!!! I would definitely recommend this business & will use them again if I need body work done.

I have a 2018 Outlander sport and was rear ended my insurance told me to get some quotes the first place I called was bates I asked if I could get a quote the lady on the phone told me that she would need my insurance anyways and there busy anyhow. So I called bonells collision and they got me in within a hour and gave me a quote so I gave them the besness. They are working on it and should have it done before 02/19/2020. Suck to be you bates could of made more money.

First, I will say that I was very happy with availability of their team, always easy to reach and pleasant, and seemed to fight for a full repair with the insurance company on questionable parts. I also was happy that when I got my car back they had detailed the interior and exterior of it. Now the downsides... Was kind of caught in the middle of the insurance company and Bates a lot. I dont know if this is very normal or not, but the whole time (a month) that my car was being fixed both were telling me that the other was lying. Second, when I got my car back there was a run in the paint. It was a small run but it was still a run, and Bates is supposedly a A+ body shop... to me runs are unacceptable. When I called about it I was told that the bumper cover had been painted before... really they seemed unconcerned. My car is a BMW that I washed and waxed by hand multiple times, I know there was no previous run there. The repair totaled $9,500... I would have expected them to ask me to come right in to get it repainted. Last, even though I appreciated the car detailing... when they did it they took everything in my car and dumped it in the glove box... including a $300 pair of sunglasses (which were resting on a metal object) and a pile of business cards... just seemed weird to do that.All in all, I think theyre a good body shop, but if I have to take it into a shop again Im going to go to Bonnells.

Great people they have fixed multiple vehicles for me and my family and we are always happy with thier work.

These guys did a huge job for me last month. My vehicle was hit by a deer on its side and required $15,000 worth of work. Now I acknowledge they did 90% of the work great but Im going to go over the negatives here as its a bit shady and I wouldnt have know if there wasnt a recall on a part of my vehicle. So these guys were supposed to replace both driver side doors, which they did. However there was a recall on my latches and I just brought it in for that. The dealer called me, not knowing the truck was worked on, and told me that it looked like someone had done work on my doors and replaced a few broken brackets to hold the latch assembly in place and it was unsafe for them to reinstall that after doing their work. So they ordered the new part and put it under the recall so I wasnt paying. So Bates put broken parts back into my doors, cool. Then I had taken the truck down to Florida for a week and all was well with a small exception, there was a loud suction sound coming from the engine bay but I wasnt having any loss of power so I let it go. Once back here I took it in and the dealership found a thick packet detailing the work done to my truck was shoved down in the engine bay (there was supposed to be 0 work done to the engine as this was 100% side damage only). Then they began looking for the auction sound and discovered that the inlet for the air intake was broken in the middle and was sagging into itself as well as all of the plastic anchors were missing from the area. Now my insurance company paid $15,000 to these guys and Im greatful that the vast majority of the work was done correctly. However Im very disappointed in the corners cut in a way it was likely believed Id never find out about. Thats shady business practice and Ive alerted my insurance company, friends, family, and coworkers to this. I dont think theyre a bad shop by any means but this is the stuff that should be brought to everyones attention so the responsible party can be identified and corrected.

They did a great job fixing the truck in 2 days and had the rental all lined up so that I only had to show up to drop the truck off and pick up the rental at the same time.

My insurance company set up an appointment with them. I called to confirm, they told me my appointment is there but they already have someone booked at that time. How about you remove the appointment availability spot so this doesnt happen. Its a huge inconvenience. Especially since there was nothing available for the entire day.

While traveling to Chicago another vehicle ran into us and our car wasnt drivable. Not being from the area I looked online at reviews from carwise and google while my husband was on the phone with the insurance company. After talking with them and looking online we decide to use Bates Collision. Right out of the gate they were extremely help full. The staff walked us thru what would happen through out our claims process and repairs. When we got our Honda back we couldnt believe how great it looked. Everything looked like nothing ever happened.
