The old owner of this place died a few years ago and it’s never been the same. The new butcher is not honest at all. I and multiple other people I know have been getting shorted by this guy for multiple years now. We had the same hanging weight on our cow this year as last year and we got 40lbs less meat. He told us that it was probably because this one had bigger bones. I don’t think bigger bones can make 40lbs difference on 1/2 a beef. Overall I’m very disappointed the previous owner ran a great business and was a great guy to work with. Now this new guy is cheating his customers Carl would be so sad to see his business run this way.I definitely won’t be back

Bought 1/4 beef from farmer went over cutting order with their staff. Had short ribs and round stake cut into ground beef. person taking order stating should get an easy 30+ lbs of ground. went to pick up beef they only brought out 8 Lbs of ground. he stated that was it. after some coments he went and got another 20 Lbs of someones beef ? ? ? dont know whos1/2 of brisket was only about 3 Lbs ( Really ) NOT IMPRESSEDHad to put 1 star to post.

I love Big Country Meat Market. My wife and I would go up here once a month and buy a special meat package to take home and it would provide us with steaks and shops and and hamburgers for the entire month. The meet here is always excellent, and fresh as can be. Because they do their own butchering. So if youre looking for a great Meat Market, big country is it.

We are pretty sure that we didn’t get all the beef from the butcher steers we took there for processing. We weighed them before the drop off. Just saying we won’t be using them again.

We had previously taken them deer to get processed without any issue. This year we got ripped off. We took them a big mature buck to get ground into hamburger and only got 29 pounds back.Never going back.

Got some sausage that was recommended by the staff; she was very friendly and the sausage was excellent.

Excellent, award-winning meats, sausages and lots of other items.Some uninformed person gave them one star and requested that they sell lamb and goat. They DO sell lamb, in season. Im not sure about goat. There is not a lot of demand for goat in this town.

This place has a website that should not be set up! The website charges your card about half of what the menu in store says. Be cautious about purchasing things online from them until they get it fixed. Our online order was 75$, yet when we went to pick it up, it was over 130$.

Literally the only stand-alone butcher in town they are ok prices could be better service could be way better but the place is clean and the meat is of good quality and if youre a hunter they do the cutting and packing of your hunt at an OK price
