I would definitely recommend Pit Stop. The staff was super friendly, and very professional. They got me in same same day to check vehicle making weird sounds and within hours it was found, fixed and I was on my way. Think I found my new auto place to go to. Great service!

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this place and the employees that work there. I will try to keep this short as possible. Okay, so I have a 2013 Gmc 3500hd diesel with a Duramax. 2 weeks ago I made a huge mistake while being distracted from a business call and I happened to put 30 gallons of regular gas in my truck. I freaked out .I called 3 spots in panic mode and all places were not only busy and couldnt get to me until next week but also was told its going to cost me thousands depending on how much damage was done etc. So looking for someone to have this done right away, I came across Pitstop in Englewood, FL. I was told right away to get it towed to them and not to worry that it will be done by tomorrow.What???? I had the truck there that day Friday around 5:15pm and they called me at around 8:45am the next day and said its all done and ready to roll! I never once questioned how much it would be because I was already told by others it will be quite a few grand. My bill was under $900. and they put $30 in gas for me.. Diesel that is lol.What???? My truck runs like nothing happened. Tank was dropped, all filters changed and gas all sucked out! Thank you guys for all you done. You will be seeing me again. This is where I will go from now on. Its good to know there are still honest people with integrity still existing. Ill be seeing you guys in a couple of weeks. I want to upgrade my rear suspension. 🤝

Get your estimates in writing or prepare to get screwed. My wife called and got an estimate to install a serpentine belt on her car. She was told it would be a half an hour, worst case scenario- which was a fair price. After they did the work she was presented with a bill for an hour and told that was because the old belt had to be cleaned out of there. Issue is- That was the worst case scenario he had spoke of when giving the estimate. It takes maybe 15 minutes to change that belt and another 10-15 to clean debris. So it was $160 to change a belt and I provided the part. NOT a good value and NOT something I would have agreed to let them repair if I knew the true amount they were going to charge. At least the job was done correctly- but anyone can change a belt. -and in under 30 minutes.

Absolutely the best!They were great. Alternator went out on a Saturday. Went by, they got on it right away. Was on my way in less than 2 hours. They were great!

First-time customer and will definitely be coming back when in need of future auto services. I initially brought my car in to get my check engine light diagnosed, but upon inspection, also needed to have my oxygen sensors replaced. I was not expecting to have this necessary service done, but Chris was able to complete the job at a good value with good quality. I’ve always had a very pleasant experience with Pit stop staff! They’re kind, helpful and looking out for you. Reasonably priced too! They send a text with pictures of their findings too which is very cool especially for someone who doesn’t necessarily know what it means, pictures helps a lot and on top of that they give a follow up call to explain. They’re wonderful.

They are absolutely the best auto mechanic place in the area by far. I have gone in to replace tires, I have gone in to replace brakes, and when my car was broken down I had it towed to them and they fixed it within 24 hours. These guys will always have my business while Im in the area.Edit 9/21/2021: unfortunately I have to change my rating from five Star to a 3 star. As helpful as they were at the shop, a month after we thought we had it all fixed the car completely died on us again. We poured over $1,000 to get this car in shape for us to be able to work and to travel and a month later it dies completely to the point where we had to scrap it. The people there at the shop are extremely nice and helpful and I dont want to say anything bad about them but our car should have lasted longer than a month after them fixing it repeatedly.

We were vacationing on Manasota Key in Englewood FL and the day before we were to drive 1,050 miles home, our truck broke, heavy grinding sounds coming from the front wheels. We discovered this at 4:45 pm on the Friday of this past Forth of July weekend. We called Pit Stop Automotive and they said they could look at it first thing Saturday morning. I dropped the truck off at 8:00 am, they called me at 9:15 am to let me know both front wheel bearings needed to be replaced, they’d found the parts for both and that they could have the truck repaired and test driven by 5:00 pm. We got the truck back repaired and running good as promised. We were able to spend an extra day at the beach and drive home safety the following day. These guys really stepped up for us and were great to work with.

This is one of the most professional auto repair shops i have ever had the pleasure of doing business with in my 60 years of driving. I also have 30 years working experience in automobile dealerships in 4 states. Joe, Crystal, and Phil were a pressure to work with. I had some special needs and usual request for suspension and tire work on my Class C motorhome. They went above and beyond the call of duty to make things work out of me. I had contacted three other business that would not work with my request.

I was traveling on Placida Road on January 19, 2021, when I struck an object in the road. My front drivers tire began to deflate immediately. The first business I came to that I thought could fix my tire was The Pit Stop. The gentlemen there were courteous and displayed a much needed sense of humor at the time of this situation. They replaced my tire and had me on the road in just over an hour. I feel the service was completed professionally and the pricing was fair.

This place has did an oil change and tire rotation for my vehicle. Also fixed my a/c when my husband tried to play mechanic in over filled it. They did fast friendly service. Was able squeeze me in their tight schedule when no one else was. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Will definitely be loyal customers.

They had my vehicle for 6 hours and tried to sell me stuff I didnt take it there for . Just to keep my truck for 6 hours and never touch it and ask me to leave it another day. So unprofessional I will never go there again or send anyone I know there . Why waste my time and continue to tell me it never made it inside when i drove by and saw it on a lift. I could not believe it

I Had them do a front end alignment on my truck. Dropped it off at 8am, they called me at 9am ready to pick up. I found them to be honest and trustworthy.

Called on Fri morning told them issue and the part they would need guy says bring in sat 1000am we can fix it or make lines it needs ok drop off 1000am 130 before they call to tell me what I all ready knew. Cant get lines that I asked them order 10 am Friday morning and they dont make lines. Waste of time would not recommend them at all

Had an oil change and tire rotation. All seemed pretty good until I went to pay. I had a coupon that they took when I checked in but when it came time to pay I was charged full price. Didnt want to make a big deal about it so just paid since the price was pretty normal. So if you want to use a coupon, watch it. Next time in the area will probably use them again.

Fast, friendly service. My 2007 Acura RDX had an internal radiator cooler fail which led to a systemic series of fluid contamination issues (water in transmission fluid, oil in radiator, etc.). Pit Stop diagnosed the issue, put together an estimate, and was able to complete the repair in short order. They met my timeframe requirements and came in at the estimate price. I am new to the area and am very pleased to have found a reliable, friendly shop!

This place is an awesome family- owned business. We moved back here from out of town and had tried a couple places that we were were disappointed with. Went to Pit Stop for an oil change and was impressed with service and knowledge. Came back when I needed more serious maintenance on my wifes car, and later they diagnosed and fixed a very confounding and technical electrical issue with my vehicle. Is fantastic to have a local shop that you trust and know to be very good and honest. This is the only place our vehicles will be going.

Would have loved to give these guys five stars but.............after getting an oil change 1200 miles later in Baltimore I notice a leak. Turns out it was a loose oil filter. Obviously as a traveler this could have been catastrophic for me. I called about the issue and was offered to come by and get oil topped off and next change free. Manager was very polite. A simple mistake by an inexperienced tech, otherwise great place, great people.

I would like to say how grateful I am for the immediate, kind and honest assistance I received today . I will not hesitate to go back to Pit Stop .Excellent staff and service .

Damaged my wheels and it was pretty apparent from the start I was screwed. My $5000 wheels were left outside against a wall where no one even came out to us. My dad was able to load the wheels into his truck without anyone saying anything. Anyone could have probably stolen a one of a kind wheel like it was nothing. After going inside and paying for it I went home and noticed the exact same damage on each wheel. We went back and were told the typical I know more so Im going to save my own butt bs from I believe the manager. They offered to put the wheels on the car if i brought it over like I totally want to risk them damaging my lowered car now too. The most frustrating thing is that no one came out of the garage like they were all seriously hiding in the back. Was told to come monday to speak to the owner but honestly I already know I will get the same bs especially since the only way I can bring them over is on my car. Was planning on selling the wheels within the next 7 months and this damage took about $1000 off the price. My biggest regret is not going to the place that previously mounted the tires for half the cost and no damage. Monumental tires in Port Charlotte, go there especially if you want your stretched tires done.

I took my wifes Honda in because it was running rough. We received a call back about 3 hours later stating that the car needed new plugs, wires and fuel filter. My wife took the call and later informed me that it would cost $491!! She had approved the charge without telling me this which sent me through the roof. Almost $500 bucks to replace 4 plugs, wires and fuel filter that could be done in 45 minutes total?? I shrugged it off as it is her car and her problem until the next day when she calls from 16 miles away to say that her car is overheating. After the $60 towing fee she takes it back to Pit Stop where they tell her that she needs a new head or head gasket (repair cost $2000+). I pickup the car, drive it to a friends shop with the intent of doing this repair myself and while diagnosing it find the radiator cap port has been damaged by their technician so the cap rotates 360 degrees and has a crack in it. $95 bucks in parts and an hour labor later her car is 100% and back on the road. When I popped by Pit Stop to ask about a reduction in the ridiculous bill I was told that they charge $95 an hour and that they have overhead but I could come back and speak with the owner who wasnt there at the time.Dont go to Pit Stop they dont deserve your business.
