Purchased a Vehicle from Farland. Tom was extremely helpful and hands on with the purchase from afar. Got a full live video tour of the car and was able to purchase with confidence. The vehicle purchased has been flawless from the beginning. Highly Recommend any company that is detail oriented like Farland. They were great. Was my first experience with them.
I was in an unfortunate fender bender with my beloved 1971 Colorado Orange BMW 2002. I had negative experience with poor paint matching of the right rear quarter panel with Apex Auto Body, so I decided to bring the car to Farland after talking with them on the phone. I was immediately impressed with their professionalism and attention to quality. They do the absolute best work on classic cars that Ive ever seen. In addition to fixing the front fender and grill, they even perfectly matched and repainted that right rear quarter panel. Photo attached. I cant recommend the folks at Farland more. From the craftsmen in the shop, to the concierge, to the front office staff and owner, the entire operation is top notch.
I was looking for a unicorn vehicle and it turned out Farland Classic Restoration had it.From the first email to Tom VanNess he made it clear I was dealing with someone who truly appreciated cars. He never pressured a sale and answered question after question until I was ready to pull the trigger. Tom was very accommodating and I felt very at ease purchasing from Farland Classic. I especially enjoyed the tour of their shop and seeing the amazing cars they are working on. I highly recommend Farland Classic!!!
Update 2/2/2021.I acquired a dream car for me last year, a Factory 87 M491 Turbo Look 911 Cab. The car was in great shape wearing original paint and presented itself very well. That said, the original paintwork had lots of scratches and blemishes that were bothersome to my eye in certain lighting. I visited with Jack Farland and he described how he could dry sand and polish the paintwork to bring it back to its original luster. I have to say that the thought of sanding original paintwork frightened me to death !!! However, having had some successful minor paint correction work performed previously I felt comfortable with the proposition. We also talked about the protective benefits of ceramic coating the paintwork after, which was performed too. Jack had the car about a week and I am absolutely flabbergasted with the results; the paintwork looks incredible; so much better than I anticipated. Another great experience at Farland Classic Restoration.I have had two of my personal cars worked on by Farland Classic Restoration; namely an M Coupe and a 911 C4S. Both cars required some paint correction and paintwork detailing. I received clear and courteous communication; The work performed was phenomenal ! In truth, they were able to fix imperfections and scratches that I thought were too deep and beyond help. Truly surprised, the results speak for themselves. Highly recommend Jack Farland and his team.
Farland Classic Restoration has done two seperate cars for me. One was a 1936 Plymouth that had been in my family since the day it rolled out of the showroom. It was nicer than new when they finished. The second was a 1968 GTO that we modernized with a supercharged 572ci engine. What a thrill. It is worth every penny to have it done the right way!
Awesome work on my 350Z - great paint match and new leather interior - ready for ZCON show now!
I recently purchased an Aston Martin DB-9 from Bill Orth at Farland Classic Restoration. This was the best experience I have ever had when purchasing a car! Bill went out of his way to answer my many questions and sent many pictures to show the condition of the car. All dealings were very open and quick. He made me feel perfectly comfortable buying the car over the internet. I have received the car and it is exactly as he described and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I highly recommend Bill and his company.
I had a fantastic experience working with Bill Orth at Farland Classic Restoration. I was in the market for a classic Mustang, and by pure luck someone sent me a link of a gorgeous 1970 boss 302 that had been meticulously restored, upgraded, and maintained and was on consignment at Farland. I contacted the dealership to inquire and was connected to Bill. He was honest, forthright, and detailed with his explanation of the vehicle. It’s clear he knows his stuff, and I appreciate there were no sales tactics even attempted as we continued our conversations. I made a fair offer, it was accepted, and the rest of the process was seamless. Bill was expeditious in dealing with paperwork, connected me with a transport company, and continued to follow up all the way to the end when I finally received the vehicle. Even after, he reached out to me to provide specific instructions on how to take good care of my new baby. If the entire dealership is anything like Bill, then they are a class act. I look forward to doing business again with Bill after I get a bigger garage. Thanks Bill, and thanks Farland!
Want your car restored or detailed? You Wont Do Better.
Bill Orth is a consummate professional while seeking an equitable deal for all involved... really happy with my T5 Roadster and the deal I got on it.
Working with Bill was a pleasant and professional experience. I first started with him on phone and everything I requested regarding picts etc was supplied. I made arrangements to fly out and see the car and Bill was helpful with reserving the car. I requested that the car be put on a lift for an inspection. Upon my arrival from the airport, the Jaguar XK120 was on the lift and I was given unlimited time for inspection. Bill was very helpful however his knowledge of the details of the restoration was limited. What I appreciated was when Bill didnt know something he was honest about it and didnt give me a line of BS. I was given the opportunity to drive car . After purchasing the car Bill went above and beyond to acquire spare parts and paperwork/ pictures of car and packaged them to be delivered with car. Overall it was a very good experience with the purchase of this car thank you Bill. I would recommend Farland Classic Restoration.
The Team at Farland has always been such a pleasure to deal with. Very professional, top notch and clean place with high standards. The best around!
I reached out to Bill regarding a vehicle and although I wasn’t 100% keen on the car, he was still completely professional. He spent a great amount of time with me, even taking me to their other facility to show me exactly how they operate. Unfortunately, the car wasn’t for me, but I will go out of my way to keep them in mind for future toys! I can’t stress enough how refreshing it is to say that these guys get it.Richard
This review is somewhat bittersweet. I worked with Bill Orth on purchasing an older 911. This was by far the best experience Ive had while shopping for a classic car. Bill was extremely professional, provided numerous pictures, and more importantly he was very honest in describing the car. Bill even contacted me on a weekend to make sure Id received his email with some additional pictures of the car. In the end, unfortunately, the PPI took too long to schedule (not faulting anyone here) and someone else wound up with the car. I would, without question, purchase a car from Bill and Farland based upon my experience with this 911.
I bought a 1977 911s and was so happy with the details given. The car needs some work but I fully expected it and I was told about every single tiny issue. I was provided almost 100 photos and videos. I was in constant contact with Bill Orth. I received exactly what was described! I will always look to farland and bill for my next purchase.
Have watched their website for years - so many amazing restorations, and so many great classic cars for sale. Bought a classic I coveted from Farland recently, and had the team help sell a car for me. Both transactions were painless and smooth. Tom and Bill were great. Jack Farland walked me around and let me look at all of the beautiful cars in the shop. Wow! Their consignment process is straightforward and very fair. Great local business.
As true automotive enthusiasts who share like clientele and mindsets, we have come to greatly appreciate the Team at Farland. Their attention to detail and workmanship makes collaborating on projects easy to stand by.
These guys, Bill, Jack (the owner), and Tom, are great! Very proficient, efficient, professional, and honest. This was my first time buying a classic car and first time making any large purchase sight-unseen. Everyone made me feel very comfortable, sending as much information as I requested and addressing every tiny detail. Jack even paid to have the car serviced one more time and did some repairs to the transmission that needed to be addressed. Bill walked me through the buying and shipping process. Everything went exactly as promised and on-time. They were also very fair and honest in their pricing and negotiations. When I received my new classic car it was EXACTLY as describe in quality, condition, appearance, and mechanically. I couldnt be happier- now to get to driving!A huge thanks to everyone at Farland Classic Restoration. I would buy every car from them if only I had more money. ;-)
I purchased a AM Vantage V12 from Farland earlier this year. I bought the car without actually going to see it in person (a scary decision). I was very careful inspecting the pictures provided by them. It was however seeing their reputation and my interactions with Bill Orth that gave assurance that I was dealing with a legit and reputable business which allowed me the mental comfort to proceed to purchase.Without going into detail, it was really the post purchase interaction and help from Bill that tells me that if I ever saw another car at Farland I was interested in I would not hesitate to buy again. Thank you very much to Farland (restoration shop) and especially Bill, who went above and beyond to help post purchase.
I am the proud owner of a rare Audi purchased from Farland. Both the car and the seller are fantastic. Seller has been very supportive and helpful post-sale and even sourced and sent a couple spare parts post-sale when under no obligation to do so. True professionals! Highly recommended
Fantastic job on my grandfathers 1942 lincoln continental. Many interesting vehicles.
My wife and I decided to sell my 66 Porsche 912 and called Farland Restoration to get some idea of the value. Tom Van Ness from Farland called us about a month later and expressed interest in seeing the car.Tom and I formed a trusting, professional relationship. He treated us with consideration regardless of if we were going to sell or not and offered helpful advice if we wished to market the car to the public. We elected to sell to Tom. He made everything easy, including picking it up. I appreciated the input from Tom and his willingness to accommodate our needs as sellers in the transaction. Thank you Tom & Farland!
We can not stress enough on the gratitude of the workmanship this shop has put into our Classic 1955 Chevy Pickup Truck. Totally repaired the damage caused by an accident. Beautifully finished! So pleased with the match up of the paint! Jack, Luis, and the rest of the staff are totally perfectionist!
Very expensive, but you can expect high quality craftsmanship. My husband inherited two classic cars from his father, one is in near perfect condition with very low original miles. The other is in pretty good condition but needed a little fine tuning to run well. He took his cars here and Doug took great care of him. He paid a premium, which I wasnt fond of, but considering the circumstances it is worth it to keep these investments maintained. One wouldnt start and they work with a towing service- skeptical at first- these guys literally had white jumpsuits and gloves. Extremely professional and respected the beautiful cars in their hands. If you own the kind of vehicles worth spending a lot of money on to keep nice, this is a great place to work with.
I was contacted about resolving the difficulties I had previously. I certainly appreciated that they contacted me again to make things right. All that was requested to be done was done and the communication was excellent. Im glad to see the change for the better!I did not have a good experience at this shop last year. Of all the problems I had, I believe it was mostly because of the poor communication. They had the car for six months and I got very little information during the process. Doug contacted me a month in. Luis contacted me a month later after I sent a message because I had heard nothing. I literally have 3 emails during the entire process and only spoke to someone on the phone when I called in. For the last 1.5 - 2 months, which was after I came in to the shop to complain, the car sat there without being worked on. I was under the impression after talking with Luis that the person he found to work on the convertible top motor was contacted. They were not. And if they were waiting for ME to do something more, dont you think that NO contact for 2 months is pretty poor communication? There were also two different shop managers while my car was there and now it looks like theres another. Not a good experience for me at all and certainly not a shop I could recommend to anyone in the collector car community.
I have had great experiences at Farland Classic Restoration. I have known Jack Farland for a long time. I have bought a car from him and more recently Tom Van Ness sold and exported 2 Mercedes 230 SLs that I owned. Class operation and people!
Always going to go above and beyond for both cars and clients 🤍My Dad, the perfectionist and artist with an uncanny eye for leather and paint color.
Great cars, really knowledgeable staff.
I happen to buy a barely used motorbike from these folks however by the look of the beautifully restored cars, I’d be more than happy to bring my future Ferrari to be restored here. I appreciated the professionalism and attention to detail in working with Bill.
Am done with Farland Restoration. Am finished with the emotional rollercoaster ride Ive had with them. The final straw was them telling me my car was done when not only was it not done when I went to pick it up, but I found 10 issues with my car that one of them almost caused an accident and would have totalled my car. Will they fix all of these issues on their dollar? I highly doubt it even though it should be done, especially since they released a vehicle to a customer that was dangerous to have on the road.Update pending.8/9/18 update- For the sake of accuracy, my vehicle was back at the shop 5 weeks ago, not just today as Farland Restoration is making it seem. As it stands now, they are trying to do work that I have not authorized and seemingly charging me for work that was supposed to be at no cost to me .Havent received a final bill yet, so Im hoping they will abide by our agreement and not inflate the bill. Vehicle is not done, yet, so still hoping, in the end, they will do the right thing.8/26/18- Got my car back(8/21/18), for the second time, and still have problems with it. Initial inspection said they tightened oil pan bolt to slow down oil leak. Now every fluid and refrigerant, minus brake fluid, is leaking more than just a little. Having my own mechanic repair problems since I have no faith in Farland Restoration to do a proper job. Do they not do a post-inspection on the vehicle before they release it to the customer? How do they not see all of the fluid leaks on my vehicle or their floor when they move the vehicle? These were not minor leaks. Very suspicious is all I will say, being that their whole business revolves around older vehicles.Final opinion- I would never take my vehicle back to this shop again. To be fair, interior restoration was well done, mechanicals were terrible.
Voiced these concerns 08/01/2019. You said you would write back. Never heard a word. Confirmation of the concerns below.Dear JackI am going to voice my concerns in numerical order1. The office principal came out and told me “not to start on her” because there was another difficult customer who you were both trying to deal with.2. After the above I knew how important my car/business is to Farland restoration.3. After 1 & 2, the car was with you for 5 months. I think I can safely say it was low priority. It doesn’t take 5 months to do brakes on anything, (excluding parts manufacture), if it does, the organization has a problem.4. Your shop manager failed to follow up on parts/tools for at least 2 weeks adding to the evidence of the car being on the back burner.5. The research of 1.5 hours was not carried out correctly as evidenced by the problem not being solved and was arguably worse.6. “Padding” of the invoices as evidenced by your 45.64 hours to do the work. 10 hrs per hub?? 45 mins to remove 1 wheel ?, 1.5 hrs to replace 18 inches of fuel line?7. Destruction of said fuel line. Replacement is approximately $500. The fuel “ leak” problem is a sticking carb float with the excess fuel being channeled, via a drain line, to the underside of the car.8. Ferrari of Denver’s labor rate is indeed $170 per hour but if the work is completed in half the time and the car returned in a timely manner, I am bucks ahead.9.The concept of “ internal warranty” is alien to me. The initial work did not solve the problem. Do yo expect the customer to pay twice for incorrect research and parts selection ? Own your mistakes.10. Owners and mechanics do not like/want to be assisted by customers. They have pride and everybody knows best because nobody else knows anything.11. I had know knowledge of the shop in England’s ability to supply parts. I called them, asked lots of questions and followed their suggestions. Research I think, you could have done the same but owners/mechanics don’t like to do this because they don’t want to appear like they don’t know. See 10.There is the old saying:Price, service, quality pick 2.I got none of the above.I could go on (and on) but this enoughJonathan
I had a pretty bad experience taking my car here... They redid the suspension and brakes on my 66 Mustang. I went to Classic Resto because I have had bad luck with shops in the past, and I was willing to pay a premium to get the quality and experience they advertise.Well, after having all the work done, and paying a VERY high price for it (well over the quote), I decided to take my car to a show. On the highway, the steering started getting really loose, to the point that I couldnt help but swerve back and forth across the road. I made it to the show, and had a friend look at the suspension.Turns out, they had forgotten a critical part in the steering assembly, and it was on the verge of falling apart. I could have lost all steering ability in the car, and likely died.Obviously I was pretty upset, and took it back to the shop to make them look over the whole thing again. While I was there, they apologized, and told me that the new guy did all the work on my car! This was his FIRST job there. They fixed it, and assured me it was safe, but that didnt change the fact that I spent all that extra money to have someone with zero experience assemble my suspension and brakes, and he probably racked up a bunch of extra labor time because there was a learning curve. So again, I am on the search for a shop that wont destroy my car!
Great place,dedicated people.
Super neat restoration shop. I would highly recommend them for your collector car needs.
Best place to work.
Would like to do business with them
Excellent
Excellent work!!!
