This company has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. We worked with Cabinets to Go for our kitchen cabinets and they use QWR to come and install. Initially, the cabinet installation went great, the guy they sent was very tidy and precise with installation. The problems didnt start until a few months after installation. The slow close garbage can unit wasnt closing properly so we went on to contact QWR for MONTHS.. emails, calls, etc. to try and get them to come look at our trash bin unit. Finally, someone got back to us after about 6 months of nagging. The original install person came out and determined we would need to order a new garbage bin unit warranty. After a month of hearing nothing we reach back out and ask if the unit has been ordered..NOPE. NO ONE HAD ORDERED IT! We fast forward, the garbage bin finally got delivered to our house about 2/3 months ago and 2 months of trying to get them to order it and then.... radio silence. Not one person has reached back out from QWR to us to have this new unit installed after, again, repeated attempts to get in contact. At this point we are so out of patience and luckily my husband is handy enough to say screw them and is going to try to install himself - stupidly unprofessional how this company handles its customer communications and then just ghosting. We are so upset with the terrible service and lack of followup - we will not be using them again. 10 months of WASTED TIME... DO NOT RECOMMEND
QWR just recently installed my new kitchen and the crew of installers could not have been more polite and professional. The kitchen looks great and added a tremendous amount of value to the interior of my home. The office staff was responsive and extremely helpful, especially following up after the installation. I would highly recommend QWR to anyone looking to redo their kitchen
QWR recently measured and installed my new kitchen cabinets and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. They made the process very easy for us. I truly have my dream kitchen- Thank you so much!
I was very pleased with the work that QWR did with my cabinet installations, each of the workers were professional, timely, and efficient. The customer service was exceptional from beginning to end & turned what is usually a lengthy/monotonous experience to a truly exciting and enjoyable one. I absolutely love my new kitchen & would definitely recommend this company!
Brian was sent by QWR to install my cabinets purchased from Cabinets to Go. While there were some issues with the items ordered by Cabinets to Go, Brian handled the curve balls well and provided valuable insight in dealing with some quirks of the kitchen and design. I’d look to hire Brian for other projects down the line — he was meticulous in making sure the cabinets he installed were perfect, and I really appreciate that extra effort with such a large investment.
I found QWR after a terrible experience with a contractor that abandoned my installation after starting it on the very first day. QWR finished the job quickly and efficiently. Every worker was extremely helpful from scheduling my kitchen installation to fixing each mistake from the previous contractor. My install was beautifully finished in only a matter of a couple days! Thank you QWR for this positive experience and my new wonderful kitchen.
QWR did a great job for us on a cabinet service call. We were really pleased with them on their timeliness and quality work done. We would definitely recommend QWR!
Brian did an outstanding job installing our vinyl plank floor and kitchen cabinets. His work was done in a careful, precise manner. He was pleasant, neat and courteous.
It was a true pleasure working with this company on my kitchen project, I kept putting off this much needed project because of the hassle I would have to incur, but I finally ordered my cabinets and did my research on installation companies and decided with QWR Services. Steve came out and verified my plan and made the necessary changes for functionality; scheduled the demo/installation that day and the rest was seamless. The installation crew was on time, neat, and professional. They paid much attention to the detail of my kitchen and communicated with me through the whole project. Additionally, Kelly and the staff could not have been more accommodating with scheduling and answering my questions. QWR bent over backwards to make sure I was getting the service I needed. In a nutshell, this company has it together, and I would HIGHLY recommend them!
I recently had QWR Services, Inc. install my new cabinets in my kitchen and I am beyond pleased! I had fantastic service from the get go. Rob, the owner, could not have been more professional in dealing with my husband and I. They were reasonable and did exactly what they said they were going to do. Steve and Mike came out for the measure and did the actual install. They were also very neat and cleaned up after themselves. They were very knowledgeable and gave us some ideas with our design that worked out beautifully. I would recommend QWR Services to anyone who is thinking of any kind of kitchen remodel. Thanks QWR!
If I could give .5 a star, I would.QWR is NOT a credible company-BUYER BEWARE.Up front, they may seem to be nice, but that is only to get your business. Once your business is captured and your hard-earned money is paid, they dismiss you if you should run into any problems at any point and time. They do not stand by their word. Nor do they believe in honest customer service. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. USE ANYONE ELSE BUT QWR...
I just had QWR install my Cabinets and I cannot say enough great things about them. From the administrative staff to the designer to the guys who came and did the work, everyone was professional, talented, friendly, and most importantly took pride in the work they did and in my home. When the inevitable mixes-up happened (lets be honest... in what world does a kitchen remodel NOT have a few hiccups) they were 100% reasonable, worked with me, did NOT make me pay any extra fees, and resolved the problem quickly and to my satisfaction. I am impressed as to how low their prices are for the speed and quality of their work. If youre getting an Ikea Kitchen, hire these guys. Youll be happy you did.
The team at QWR has been handling cabinet installs at my properties for years. I can always count on them to get the job done and get it done the right way!
Do not use them. I had a similar situation. I went to Ikea and they suggested I use QWR to remodel my kitchen. QWR sent someone out to my house and messed up the measurements sending me a faulty layout. It took corrections. Then when they came, the measurements were still wrong. The cabinets were several inches off where they should be; shelves werent level for granite. And despite working inches from the refrigerator, they made it so the new refrigerator could not fit in the space below the cabinets. They tried to get me to sign off on it, but I refused. They charged me anyway even though they and Ikea knew I was disputing it. And now they want additional monies to fix what they messed up. Do not ever use them. I am disputing the bill and plan to let people know what a poor job QWR did.
I could not be more disappointed with the service I am receiving! After having Ikea recommend QWR for measurement and install, I was canceled on by their team not once, but twice. The third time they tried to reschedule I had to flat out refuse as each appointment is another day Ive taken off work.NOTE THEY HAVE ONE GUY WHO CAN COME OUT AND DESIGN KITCHENS AND HE COVERS BOTH IKEA LOCATIONS IN CHICAGO - SERIOUSLY?!Now that install is scheduled to be under way tomorrow I get a call saying they cant be here tomorrow with no real explanation besides, were behind on another install. Again Ive taken off work for this install and have not been offered any form of compensation or apologies - just rudeness. Now that they have me on the hook with all the materials in my home, no working kitchen, and no other alternatives - Im once again getting no response. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!!
I had the BEST experience with this company.1. If you want an, Ikea kitchen, I suggest you go into your kitchen, take measurements YOURSELF and design it with the Ikea software. Ikea and QWR do offer services in home to take measurements, however, if you change your mind after everything is ordered, YOU are the only person to blame.2. I bought my condo almost 3 years ago, and if I would have gone with the first idea I had when I bought this kitchen, I would be ready to gut it again. Design what works best for you and your family. I am not saying it takes 3 years, but after 6 months of living in my place, I kept going back to the same plan, so I knew it was for me.3. When designing a kitchen, you need to account for fillers, That means if you have a space that is exactly 80 inches, you need to subtract a total of 4 inches on each side, so the doors will actually open, and not hit a wall. I accounted for 2 inch pieces on every cabinet that I had installed, and it was perfect.4. I live in the city of Chicago, and live in a mid-rise condo dwelling. Check with your management company about the requirements to have work done. My condo management requires a lot of insurance documents, etc. I had no issues with QWR. Everyone in the corporate office was great at getting me what I needed, and it was very fast.5. I had 2 guys, Vince and Eric who came to my condo. They were on time, professional and worked in a very small space, and got the job done, and cleaned everything up.6. I thought I could DIY my kitchen install, and if I did that, I would have been very upset with the results. Every cabinet was shimmed, leveled and I wish these guys could do the rest of my project.7. I have very high expectations in general, but a kitchen rehab is not cheap. I had such a great experience with QWR, they even stayed late to finish the project in 1 day!! They did not take a break until it was done.8. GREAT experience!!!
0 stars......DO NOT USE QWR! I wish i would have read reviews, but trusted IKEA. Preshopped counter tops. Sent measurements to QWR of what we were purchasing and what we were replacing. QWR sent quote. I went and purchased the countertops. They showed up to install and they said they couldnt do it. They kept our deposit and will not refund it???? Going to file with BBB. This isnt over yet!
I didnt even consider using anyone else when I went to IKEA, because of IKEAs excellent reputation. While the contractor went above and beyond for me on some things (it was never made clear if I asked for something to be done and he said OKAY, I just assumed it was an acceptable part of the job.) It began with the incredibly poor painting job and just went down from there. I will never recommend IKEA to anyone. IKEA is unwilling to do something about this, saying it is QWRs responsibility. I am waiting to see what QWR is going to do.I am so disappointed.
Absolutely ZERO ZERO ZERO stars, not even one!We hired them to design our kitchen and made an appointment at the ikea kitchen department.I dont know where to start. it was an incredibly bad service. Maybe, the worst and least helpful service I have ever experienced.FIrst, they call and change the appointment time and date. An appointment they made was between 12pm to 2 pm, so he (designer) can arrive anytime between those time. ughh! My husband and I both are working and we both have professional jobs. We dont have much free time. we cant simply make a change on our schedules. plus, we need more specific times, not something like between 12 to 2. Anyway, somehow we made it.Finally after changing the schedule twice, we meet with the guy at lobby of our place. After we said hi to each other he said you guys are 15 minutes late so I will leave 15 minutes early. (yes, 2 minutes after we meet fist time) I really didnt like it but I stayed calm.We went upstairs he started to measure the place. it took about 45minutes. (I dont know why it took too long.) Then he ask about our appliances, we gave him the dimensions of it. He made a design with tons of filling material. I told him that I didnt like it and I request some stuff. And he start to YELL AT ME! he exactly told it is impossible, how STUPID you are, and you dont know about what you are talking about. He completely lost his control. Yes, he told me stupid! I all I told him to be respectful and I an engineer and my husband as well, we know what we are talkin about. My husband also told similar things. (because we work with those kind of guys a lot in the factory, we know how to deal with them. We stayed calm but he went out of control)Anyway, he told he is sorry about it but you guys are not helping me. And I told him that he suppose to help you and he is not helping at all. And he lost his control again and tend to took his stuff and told I am leaving. Then, my husband told him that this is a paid service, we paid $200, you have to do it with a loud and angry voice. All the sudden he stopped and start to work somewhat more normal. Anyway, we end up with having our kitchen designed. We went to IKEA to order it and tell them what happened with the guy. They looked at our plan found bunch of death spaces and we change the plan with the ikea kitchen department guys (at the ikea).Save your money, dont go them. Just measure your kitchen correctly, design it on the computer and if you have questions ikea kitchen guys at the ikea will help you more then them
I just finished having QWR at my house for a 3 day install. I could not be happier with the services they provided. Zach was the lead on my project and Mike and Steve both worked with him on the other days. These guys were so professional and careful when working with the IKEA products, and so personable, I cant say enough about how beautiful my kitchen has turned out. They took the time to make sure everything was right. They covered my floors, cleaned up their tools each night, and always asked me exactly what it was I wanted if they werent sure. That being said, the company makes it very clear that they are just there to install the product that you have purchased. It is in the contract that you need to make sure all of the parts are there for install and that if you make any other modifications to your plan it can result in more charges.I stuck with the plan that I had designed and, in fact, it cost me about $400 less than I was quoted since they had quoted me a price to set my appliances and I did that myself. I also decided not to have them install the crown molding, so I saved on that too.I did end up making 2 trips back to IKEA, but neither of them was QWRs fault. There was a warped panel and one of the boxes had incorrect parts. It was no big deal since I was very close to IKEA, but if you are planning on a project and are not close to an IKEA, I highly suggest you check all of the parts before you get started.I would use them again and recommend them to anyone who was doing an IKEA kitchen and wants it to look custom.
Schedule appointment, take a day off to be there just to miss the appointment because they over-booked.... Twice. Sorry, if they cant even manage a simple appointment how can they bu trusted for more serious work?
