I dont know if it was because I was young or what the issue was but the older guy didnt even speak to me. He just watched me look at shoes. Then another lady came in and he helped her right away. I finally got acknowledged by a younger guy but he left and let me look around. After waiting I dont know how long the younger guy finally reappeared and help me. All the while the older gentleman man helped this lady and daughter who came in after me. I would have bought more but by the time I got service I was over the experience. I only bought the pair I did because I needed them and didnt want to go to another store. They have a great variety of comfortable shoes if you are worthy enough to get acknowledged

Went there today. No one offered to help although I was only one in store. There were atleast 3 employees talking not helping. I sat down until someone realized I needed help. Someone came and dismissed my issues and had no solutions. Didn’t want to help me out with my fasciitis. Nor seem interested. I felt they care more about their older population vs the younger after reading these reviews. So I spent 500$ at road runner and what a difference in customer service. Wow. Regret going to Van Dyke after working 12 long hours

I was very happy with the service we received. My friend has a walking disability and Irvin Jenkins took the time to get the best shoes for him and even gave him advice to help him walk better. That was priceless. We will be back!

Awful customer service!One of the four employees was with the only other customer in the store. I signed in, looked at shoes while I waited for service. Two men in the back working on something, the woman played with her phone. The one with the customer completed his sale and began to clean up. Not once did he offer to help, say he would be with me in a moment, or ask one of the other employees to attend to me. I put on my jacket and left. I understand to wait 10-15 minutes for service, but this was ridiculous. This is an example of why brick and mortar stores are losing customers to online sales.
Absolutely the best shoe store Ive ever been to. Ive now bought three pairs from them (two for my husband and one for me) and every time we ended up with perfect-fitting, comfortable and professional shoes. The employees are knowledgeable, quick, and very friendly. I cant imagine going anywhere else for my professional shoes.
Been here 4 times over the last year and every single time I was told that the shoe or shoes I choose was NOT in stock and needs to be ordered, no matter how many different styles- then told it would take 4 to 7 weeks!! It’s ridiculous. Today was the last time I even try. Years back they were a good store now it’s awful. The sales people are super rude and low stock- don’t know how they stay in business. Super expensive shoes and horrible service.
No one spoke to me at all....I wanted two pair of shoes but at $160.00 per shoe (pricing does vary)....I would like a hello how may I assist you. ...awful ....but I think I know why though ....crazy thing is, I made a comment about the lack of associates that spoke, one heard me and looked right at me....AND STILL DID NOT SPEAK. I will visit another one for the shoes I need
