I did not have a good experience at this location. When I went here the owner of the shop was immediately being rude Im assuming because we are women I have never seen such horrible cust service ever.
Mr Reyes may want to reconsider options when speaking with a client over the phone that has gold on hand and offer options to the client instead of making appts simply to just get the customer in the store. Lost a chance toPurchase several ounces of gold if there would have been transparency instead of dodging questions such as “what would you pay me for that amount prior to my visit” I understand that gold dealing is an “underground” world of dealing and getting the seller to inconvenience themselves for a visit is one step to tire a client out and obligate them. However, when asked the question multiple times such as “I understand that you have tofair make money on the transaction and I am fine with that” you should have more common sense to realize you are on the phone with a wise and reasonable seller and JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION instead of saying I cannot price gold I cannot touch. That is a sign that you may want to yield away from a buyer like this that may not be educated well-enough to handle a sale/transaction tas one is reasonable when they say “I understand you will need to make fair money as well”. I would have handled this transaction successfully had it been me as the buyer. Leaving two VERY ACCURATE stars for my experience in hopes that he may take this into consideration and realize there are better ways to handle customer that are wise and very reasonable. Good luck Mr Reyes and yes, you may employ my recommendation with my permission see the positive results it will give you in return. Happy holidays.
Horrible phone call mannerism. Very rude
I had a great experience! The owner was there at opening. Informative and straight to the point. I love when people are upfront and understand exactly what it is that you are asking for. He made room for my story and bought my piece at a decent price. I left a very satisfied customer.
Called Reyes back and fourth 3 times today. He picked up the phone every time and was available for me after close. I ended up going before he closed the store. I had 2 gold chains and one bracelet. I went to 3 different people before him and he knew that. He never once asked me what the others offered. He did his review of everything and offered me 150 dollars more than the other offers I had received. If you mention his website he will give you 10 percent more which is what he did for me. I honestly think I could have negotiated a little bit more cash but I didn’t even bother because he is a legit person and it was easy and comforting to work with him. Everything could have taken 10 mins or less. I stayed after and spoke with him as he gave me a education on diamonds. I’m taking the rest ofmy jewelry back to him next week and won’t even bother with the rest. Try him out and mention his website!!! Great/honest dealer/father, thanks again!
Tried to work me smh not even close to what my chain is worth. Do not recommend this place!
Reyes Jewelry exchange is excellent. I had a 14K gold necklace and had taken the necklace to 3 other jewelry stores in the area. I made an appointment with the owner. He was able to meet me at 9am, even though they dont open until 10am. He was very courteous and gave me the most amount of money for my necklace. If I had more gold to sell I would definitely go back to Reyes Jewelry Exchange.
THANK YOU! So Happy! Sold some gold jewelry and a sterling flatware. We checked two other places and Mr Reyes paid more by over $400. So were super happy. Plus he tested it and weighed it right in front of us. It was just a nicer experience than the other place that took it in the back and didnt let us see what was happening. Recommend!!!
Easy, straightforward service. Will be back if I need to sell something else.
I brought a couple gold rings and tiny chains into this store and was very pleasantly surprised at what it was worth. The price of gold has even increased since I sold mine back in late 2011. I have referred countless friends and neighbors to the store over the last couple years and they have all been very satisfied walking out with much more cash than they expected. I highly recommend this store as a great place to exchange gold for cash.
Thanks David. Im really glad I found your shop. Im so happy, you paid more than I expected for my gold jewelry. See you again soon :)
Worst service I have ever had. I wanted to know a little info about selling jewelry online instead of trading it in for melting it down for cash and he would not tell me what I should sell it for per gram. He doesn’t give prices for grams, because he only does dwt. (Still wouldn’t give me price to sell for dwt) Most people online asked me how much the jewelry weighed in grams so that is what I was looking for. He was very rude asking me if I was trying to put him out of business. I just wanted to make sure someone wasn’t going to buy my jewelry and then sell it for scrap. I wanted someone to enjoy the pieces. If no one wanted to buy it for more than the price of scrap I told him I would sell it to him, just give me a benchmark to go by. He told me there was nothing there that he would wear, it was all junk to him! He asked me, “Am I just testing this for purity or am I going to sell some of it to him today”!!! Dave gave me some low ball prices and said when you can’t sell it online come back and he would buy it for a lower price than he would offer me today. He was very condescending, like I was bothering him. I wouldn’t do business with this person ever.
GREAT SERVICE AT REYES. I GOT MORE THAN I EXPECTED. I WOULD DEFINITELY COME BACK
David is an upstanding buyer and offers fair prices! Some of the best prices in the area. Highly recommend
Very knowledgeable and trustworthy which is a rare commodity in todays world especially business. Thanks again David.
Took some gold in to be appraised, and had a poor, improfessional experience.First, the man behind the counter claimed it wasnt gold because it had dirt on one part, despite my telling him it was very old (of course, gold doesnt tarnish, but it gets build-up on it -- ie, picture doubloons fished from the sea). He was trying to say the dirt was tarnish, therefore it was not gold.Next I was told it wasnt solid gold because it was lightweight. Except, I had told him it was old gold, not of US origin. Hard to imagine somebody who works with precious metals not knowing about hammered gold, which is a traditional way make lightweight precious metal jewelry. Then after an extended wait, the gent claimed it was only 14K gold and offered me a low price (low even for 14K).I didnt sell-- I took the same gold to Edward Arthur Jewelers in Columbia Mall-- they appraised it in 1/3 the time, correctly identified it as 18K, and offered much more (the Reyes offer was 40% less than Edward Arthurs). Not sure if Reyes was completely incompetent or trying to cheat me. Neither is acceptable in a precious metals dealer.Steer clear, they were bad enough to warrant me writing the state BBB.
Cant speak for the prices and service because during listed open business hours the door was locked despite the open sign. Door said Dave was across the street and to call. Called Dave no answer multiple times for over an hour. and mailbox was too full to leave a message. I drove 30min out of my way to be turned away by a locked door and unresponsive personnel. I hope that you can amend your store hours to reflect by appointment only if thats the case.
Watch yourself here. I sold a mens antique gold black onyx ring with some other gold not realizing the ring could have gotten more. He didnt give me market value for that ring.My experience with the owner’s mannerisms were similar to another Google reviewer.
SELLERS BEWARE!!!! This is a ripoff establishment, do your homework because he will definitely take advantage of you. He wont give you honest answers on the phone, just to get you in the store. Then he says he missed 10grams of my Gold, impossible, I watched him look at each package of 99.99 24k Gold bullion bars, plus 25 troy ounces of silver and tried to buy it for half its worth. I went from his place and got what the market value of my metals. If it wasnt for the fact that I am a educated metals seller he would have taken advantage of me. I didnt even stay in his store, I picked up my precious metals and left, quickly. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!! SELLERS BEWAREWhat a load of crock, you offered me $100, to tell you what honest buyer I went to..this speaks volumes about your integrity, you see Im not for sale. Thats why I wont take your $100 to give you information. How can a person lie about a metal, still in its original packaging, yes now I agree with the other gentleman who called you a racial profiler. Im a lier, please, I had 1 troy ounce of 99.99 24k Gold and 25 troy ounces of 999 Silver, 2 5 oz bars still wrapped and 15 1 troy oz rounds, and you tried to rip me off by offering me $836. What you didnt know is Im working on my precious metals liscense and was educated enough to walk out of your business, you were to blind to se the $12k Gold watch I was wearing and the BMW 750LI I pulled up in. So you see I dont need your $100, my integrity is not for sale. Your excuse was you didnt see the 10gram Gold bar, when you handled it and I watched you write down the serial number from the original packaging that my Gold bars came in. So when you said you missed 10 grams thats when I decided that you were a scam artists, I watched your every move and knew you definitely saw both Gold bars, 10 plus 20 = 30, for future references, Im the wrong man that you want to slander. I have the means to sue you, now since I know and can prove that Im telling the truth, sue me. That was just the tip of the iceberg of what I own. And you tried to rip me off. So sellers BEWARE. REMEMBER YOU OFFERED ME $100, what a joke. Now, since you called me a liar twice, and called me angry, which is ludicrous, I got top dollar for my metals, so Im happy as a lark. But, I also have a picture catalog of all of my precious metals, something you probably didnt count on. And the buyer is local, so unless you print a retraction Im going to sue you for slander. Thats my good name youre playing with, not good. But as far as my metals I made a great deal with a reputable buyer, who can attest to the beautiful condition of my metals, you can retract or well see what a court and my Attorney can do with this attack on my character. I couldnt be happier, you didnt get my excellent metals and I got top dollar, everyone who reads this now knows how twisted you are, and is willing to say anything to cover bad business practices, so sorry my man. But this customer will sue you for slander. Retraction please, you see Im giving you a chance, in writing. This is admissible in court and as you know my metals were in excellent condition. You decide.
Very professional great experience and way more cash than I expected!!
Dont go there at the hours listed. You need an appointment apparently. Very inconvenient.
Extremely rude, short on patience and possibly racially profiled me. Gave me a look when I walked in his store. Fears of douchebaggery were conformed when talking to another seller who called him a ripoff artist. Save your time and do business elsewhere.
Very bad experience, we went there with our gold, that weighted about 75gram, and its 21k, the store owner told us it is only 47g, which means he cheated us, and on top if that he treated us very bad, and hes obviously a thief and I advice everyone to not go to his store and Help Expose this Cruel Thief.
