Have had a Pooner & Sons roll-up security gate at the (back-alley) entrance of my DC town house for about six years. Along with separate perimeter fencing, the Pooner & Sons roll-up gate secured our back yard area, creating a private/safe enclave for car parking, patio, and improved privacy. The roll-up gate requires only infrequent maintenance, which Pooner & Sons does itself for fair cost. The roll-up gate is sturdy and generally operates well. The Pooner & Sons team is competent, responsive, professional and pleasant to do business with.Updating this review (December 2018) to add that though our gate electronic-eye sensor needed recent servicing, the gate has a manual workaround that we used until Pooner & Sons were able to service the gate. They responded quickly, as always, and this time even completed the repair for no charge! Very highly recommend this company and the product they provided.

After exploring other roll up door suppliers for our DC townhouse, we landed on Pooner and Sons and could not have been more pleased . They compared favorably in price to some other options we were considering and took care of the permitting process, which other options did not. Alan clearly knows what he is doing and is a pleasure to work with. They installed our door ahead of schedule in October 2018, and we are thrilled with its quality. I would highly recommend them.
