The chocolate is good. Nothing overly special, but good. My review is more focused on the very poor service that was provided. I was there 30 minutes before closing and the person seemed annoyed by my presence and seemed to be hurrying me. I had never been there and wanted to look. It was not at all busy so I am not sure why I was being rushed.This is a quaint shop in a beautiful area but sadly very unwelcoming.

Went there today. The woman at the front counter was extremely discourteous to my mother and I. You would think shed have some manners for customers who spent $30 on chocolate. Look at all the negative reviews and they all state how awful she is to people. First and last time there... and I love chocolate.

Ive never tried chocolate with Old Bay before I went to Sweet Cascades. And i still havent. I need a sample before taking that leap. But the peanut butter stuffed marshmallows covered in dark chocolate were outstanding. So were the bourbon balls (although they were a little strong). I found the prices very reasonable.

Treat yourself. You wont be disappointed.

Delicious and beautiful! Sea salt caramels, Old Bay crabs, chocolate pretzels, chocolate graham crackers, peanut brittle, and so much more. I won this as a corporate prize and shared it with the group. A big hit!!

Nice staff. Just so overrated and expensive. You can get way more at Wockenfuss and still have the same results in variety and new flavors. I literally almost rolled over to see their chocolates for 26 dollars a pound. No thanks.

Amazing Chocolate. Definitely worth the price.

Stopped in to warm up on a rainy evening and was DELIGHTED with the sipping chocolate, served in cute antique cups. This is a wonderful place to stop for a treat. The nighttime was nice because the lights were low and ambient, and it wasn’t crowded so we were able to enjoy a nice memorable moment of peace.

Huge variety of chocolates. I tried the salty truffles and milk chocolate buckeyes. The salties were a great mix of salty and sweet.There is a cute sitting area in a room over. They were offering sipping chocolate and a handful of chocolates on Saturdays and Sundays. I look forward to trying it.

Okay first, the chocolate is delicious and they’re the only chocolate place I could find with their own (alcoholic) chocolates. They’re delicious, btw. The woman at the counter (maybe the owner? Not sure) was the most pleasant and thoughtful person... it was an absolute delight coming in here today and I’m so glad I did. I’d definitely recommend this place for chocolate lovers :)

They have the best chocolate!

Unfortunately I must share the negative experiences I have had at this establishment on more than one occasion. It pains me to write this because I live up the street and a large majority of my income goes to support local businesses. After three visits, this business will no longer be one of them, and I will not be able to recommend this business to anyone else until the owner fixes her attitude towards customers.1. The first time visiting with my mother, I was greeted with a smile from a lady who was quite courteous (not the owner). We ordered over $20 worth of chocolates as a gift for a family member. On our way out we took a look at the seating area(s) and noticed a nice little outdoor area. We promised to come back to enjoy our chocolate on the patio or inside, which were both empty at the time.2. My second visit was with 3 friends, where we bought another set of chocolates and ate some outside on the again empty patio. After 15 minutes we had to leave, but a friend remained and opened her laptop to reply to some emails. I later found out that the owner had promptly kicked her out once she opened her laptop, claiming this was not a Starbucks for her to run her home business. A little insulting but possibly the owner was having a bad day. Im a forgiving guy.3. I returned once again and purchased $10 worth of chocolate to eat and relax outside on the again empty patio with my significant other. I should have taken the emptiness of the store as a huge hint. While eating our chocolate, we thought it would be nice to open up our laptops and do some studying. Once we opened a laptop the owner came running out furiously, proclaiming that this was not a place to run a home office (what?). Does she ban iPhones too? People run businesses from those too. I dont know...she kicked us out before we could even finish eating our chocolate. The place was still empty as we left and I suspect there is a reason why no one chooses to sit in.Its a real shame. The location is good, and a relaxing chocolate/coffee shop (Folgers/Maxwell House drip coffee is on the menu here) would serve Main Street quite well. The owners poor attitude towards customers ruins it for me and I cannot return here on good conscience. All further recommendations will go to other business on Main Street.

I was walking around their shop, browsing and looking for items I could potentially buy. Meanwhile, I pick up an item wrapped in four bags, and the woman berates me. She was extremely rude to me and my friend, making a scene and causing us to feel uncomfortable. The woman was very impolite and continued to give us dirty looks and snares while we continued to browse. I had enough, so my friend and I left the shop without buying anything. All in all, maybe their services are exceptional, but the people working there are extremely rude. They were watching us like spies, as if they thought we were up to something. The woman ruined our experience with her very unwelcoming and rude personality. I am never going back again, nor is my family. Very disappointing.

Very nice shop with a selection of fun treats and chocolate truffles. My favs were chocolate covered pringles and the chocolate covered twinkle. Sipping chocolate was pretty good too. A lot of work has gone into making the stop-in a fun enjoyable experience, so along those lines I believe pricing is fair.

I have been getting their Jasmine truffles for 5 years now. Its my favorite chocolate and the only place that sells it. LOVE all the different chocolates they have. The staff there are always so sweet. I just love them and I will be going there forever! And they have an online store! Shipping was standard. No complaints!

We stopped in a few years ago, and instantly fell in love. Great chocolates and other fun treats. My husband loves their milk chocolate butter creme, and Im delighted they have so many options for dark chocolate lovers like me!

We stopped by their Savage Mill shop and were thrilled with the variety and quality of the choices. Caramel covered marshmallows for me, and some sea salt milk chocolate bites. Also caramel turtles! Lovely staff.

Love the fine flavors of the infused “ boozy truffles” Belly up to the Chocolate Bar for your rum- your Jack Daniels and your Bourbon truffles! Unbelievable and the store owner and employees are really really fun!I just wanna eat chocolate all day:)

I had some truffles, non pareils, and dark chocolate almond bark. All were addictively good. Soooo much better than other mainstream high-end brands. I am already planning to return to get more!

Lots of good chocolate options on the shelf, freshly made. Staff is very friendly, and patient when my wife cannot choose what she wants. Space is limited in the store, but it usually isnt a problem unless you are bringing in a stroller.The store also hosts a wine-and-chocolate (or whatever it is really called) event where you drink wine and make chocolate in the evening.

I received a small box of chocolates from this shop as a Christmas gift and WOW!! It was amazing! Cant wait for my next visit to Maryland so I can go to the shop myself! I always thought Rhebs had the best buttercreams until I tasted the ones from Sweet Cascades! Simply delicious!!!

Very rude staff during Harry Potter event. Ran out of the Harry Potter Chocolates and never told anyone till you waited 45 min in line. When mentioned the idea they got snippy and refused to do so.

Amazing Chocolatier!!!After living in Paris for a year, it is very hard to find high quality chocolates in the USA. Sweet Cascades would be right at home in Paris and is one of the highest quality confectionaries I have ever visited.

We drove an hour to purchase some dairy free chocolates. When we walked up 25 minutes before closing (it was 535, they close at 6) the woman had locked the doors right before we walked up and waved us away as we tried to talk to her despite my upset children right in front of her. They did not mention they were closing early on their Facebook or website. Oh well, well go elsewhere.
