Seems decent. I just didnt appreciate the big sign that states mask required but the cashiers arent wearing them/wearing them on their chin. I wasnt amused.

Went to have a print framed, waited and picked up as it was on schedule. As I had to wait for my office painting to finish, I finally got around to hanging my print. The minute I cleaned the glass the glass itself slipped down. This indicates they did not cut the glass long enough to account for minor shifting when hanging and I have a gap now. Their policy is horrible @14 days, so you’re SOL unless you see issues immediately (which we all can’t do working jobs and having a family). Buyer beware go somewhere else for framing, the staff are extremely cordial, but the outcome lacks quality (in my case glass cut incorrectly)

I went there looking for something specific, and they didnt have it. That said, the store is a good broad general arts & crafts store. Its clean, organized and easy to find what Im looking for. Its hard to find assistance when I need it, though.

I recently started an art class and my instructor gave me a list of supplies to purchase. My classmates suggested Michaels. I checked online for the 40% off coupon and used it on a wood easel that was on sale for 50% off. Without my two discounts I would never have bought such a nice one. I was able to purchase some other items at 50% off also. Michaels had everything on my list so this will be my go to store for all my art supplies.

Im not an avid in-store shopper as I like to use the online store and pick-up feature. But every time Ive gone in the store I have a bad customer service experience. Yesterday there was no line so my daughter and I walk up to the register and the two cashiers are engrossed in a conversation about getting more hours. I stood there for a few minutes after the one cashier looked me right in my face and then turned back to continue talking; I interrupted them so I could check out. I was never rude but in my mind Im thinking this is exactly why I dont like coming into the store.

I was welcomed by JaJuan as soon as I walked in. I found everything I needed plus a few extras on clearance. JaJuan ran up my purchase and he was friendly and quick! The wide aisles of the store were clean and uncluttered. It was a wonderful shopping experience today at Michaels!

This one is usually stocked well but this visit it was not a lot of selection for what I needed

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. Im a little uneasy with going out these days but this store is very open. Lots of opportunities to social distance. The day after Christmas I was expecting a crowd, but nope, nice and comfortable. Would have given 5 stars but wasnt able to use my coupon and the cashiers didnt provide any other coupon opportunities when I know they always offer them.

As a textile crafts individual, I found all of needs are met at Micheals. From knitting supplies, blow out yarn sales in July, yearly and holiday season decorations, Michaels is my go to store.Photos, Fancy Celtic knit, completed recently, 2 years in the making.Discovered as of o1/3o/2o21, Michaels is selling quilting, other types of fabric, what a bonus for quick sewing needs !!!

If this is the Michaels in Columbia I really appreciate the service and professionalism that I received I was greeted the moment I walked in I was asked if they could be of any assistance and they showed me where my merchandise that I wanted was and told me to have a great day when I was leaving

It was pretty good but some people shopping dont monitor their kids especially if they are a little older. It kind of made it a little difficult to shop and it was just me. The father was more interested in getting paint brushes and wasnt monitoring his kids which were rude. Michaels follows all the guidelines by the CDC. I use to enjoy going to this Michaels since I own my art business but it looks like I will going to another Michaels location.

Went in to get a gift card right before Christmas. There were only a few people in line. The store was clean and the floor marked clearly for social distancing. The line moved quickly and I was in and out within 5 minutes.

This Michaels store in Ellicott City has a dream come true selection of synthetic yarn for blankets and afghans. Soooo many colors and textures, just perfect for a winter project in snowy weather. The staff is efficient and pleasant, which made my visit quick. This was much appreciated with COVID concerns still present. Thank you!

Great selection of seasonal materials. Stopped to pick up some ribbon to wrap our Christmas tree. Checkout line was pretty long but moved very quickly.

Huge store, conveniently located by Rockville Pike with a large parking area shared with Bed Bath and Beyond, Petco, Staples, and a Five and Below. Sometimes understaffed with long lines, but great collection of alcohol inks, craft materials and custom framing.

Very helpful. Price discrepancy between online and store but they rectified it for me easily! Would recommend.

My only advise would be to have your secret shoppers be a little more incognito. Lol. I could tell there was a guy following me around the entire store, if you worked in retail at any length you know how to spot a secret shopper. I managed to find almost everything I was looking for. It appeared they were low on stock in some sections and overflowing in others. Unfortunately, I walked down the paint aisle and didnt see the puddle of gray paint until it was too late. UGH! All the associates were so busy cleaning carts and trying to run the registers.

I love this store. The employees are always helpful and friendly not matter how busy they are. The selection of holiday and art supplies is great and you can always find something you are looking for. The store is clean and inviting even when they are restocking.

Tiara my sales associate was so polite and very professional. I returned many pendants that were not made well enough for my business clients so upon returning like 8 items ( I was organized tho. ) tiara never skipped a beat, or make me feel like a nuisance for my return. She remained sweet, calm and handled the transaction better than most ladies working your counter in the past. She has quality people skills and should be considered for advancement!!

Helpful staff. The Long Gate Michaels is well maintained and organized. They have a good selection of arts & craft related merchandise.Note: There is ALWAYS a coupon to pay less for whatever you are buying. Even if youre not a coupon clipper, whip out your cell phone and go to their website. The coupons are listed there and they can just scan your phone. If you dont have your phone, just ask the cashier. More times than not they will produce some kind of coupon for you.Their custom framing prices are outrageous and their framers are not professional. There is actually quite a bit that goes into custom picture framing, and I would not not recommend using them if you want high quality framing done. (I worked there a lifetime ago, and they have the highest markup in the area on Larson-Juhl mouldings, museum glass, acid free mats, etc.) Custom framing can be very expensive, so if you are going to spend that kind of money, get it done right and go elsewhere.

We like shopping here for a great variety of crafts. I always go with a coupon. If you dont, make sure you sign up for the emails! The lines are often long at checkout.

Michaels is one of my favorite places to shop for fabric and crafting materials and home decor. I like the store in Ellicott City than the one in Columbia mostly because it is larger. Both stores are always well maintained and the people that work there helpful and friendly. I have found lately that many prices at Joannes are better than Michaels.

Excellent customer service received by the cashier. I was unaware they offered 15% military discount until she mentioned it. I have gone to Michaels at different locations and was never asked if I was affiliated with the military or offered the military discount.

There are soo many products all with incredibly cheap prices!! Customer service is on point, someone asked us if we were finding everything okay and she was able to help us find exactly what we were looking for.

This store was great for a birthday party. The crafts were age appropriate nd the kids had to lot of fun. With a staff member there to guide the kids, the party ran itself!

Michaels has just about everything for arts and crafts. Bought an Xacto knife there several years ago and needed a new blade. Found it in less than two minutes and at a great price.

Went to buy presents for the kids. Wow. I mean wow. But, if youre not a kid, save a lot of time/seek a little help. Got the kids with you, just let em go. Theyll lose themselves in there ...all day. Really.

They need to update their items, lots of new crafting materials out there and they have had the same exact stuff for the past 10 years. They dont even carry sheets of crepe paper or any of the new spray paint colors with all the paper flowers people are making and a hundred other things people need it for. Otherwise staff is kinda friendly, place is clean and neat. Just bored with their selection. Most of it you can get at the Walmart down the street for cheaper 🤷🏼‍♀️

A very nice craft store, airy, clean. Depending when you go, it could be crowded by the check out line. There is always something on sale otherwise use the app to get the latest coupon. There is a classroom for classes. There are restrooms in the store. Plenty of free parking out front.
