Came to get paint for a bed frame rehab. Associate in the paint department was super helpful, did a great job on our specialty order, & gave us great advice about what sandpaper to get! Any associate we asked for help locating something was courteous & had the information we needed. Check out was super easy w/ the self check-out aisle. Great experience. Store very organized & clean. All store associates were following COVID safety protocols & wearing masks! 😷👍😁

I am in the construction business and stopped at the Ellicott city Home Depot to pick up wood for a recent roof replacement project. I would just like to thank Emmanuel in the lumber department . He was very kind and courteous and help me load all the lumber materials on my cart. I think Emmanuel should be promoted to a management position because he is very professional . He is well spoken and he would definitely make a good customer service representative in the future . I would also like to thank Chris Floabachie for helping me load the materials on to my truck. I think all the employees at the store are very kind and courteous and go out of their way to help customers.

Like most of these stores in different locations, you get what they have. Had to visit this on due to the locations near me not having what I was looking for. The customer service desk was very helpful, but if you are in the market for a large item, bring your own transportation. The delivery charge is high, and after what my wife had to deal with, we will never wait on them for it to be delivered. At all of the locations I have visited, there never seem to be enough workers around for help, meaning you have to go and hunt someone down. But the prices are reasonable for whatever project you are attempting.

Went to Home Depot looking for a new refrigerator and pricing countertops. It felt like every employee was actively ignoring us. Nothing particularly bad happened, just didn’t feel worth the trip if no one could be bothered to help us. It wasn’t busy either. Won’t be going back.

After spending about 3 hours at another Home Depot over an order that was totally messed up my issue was solved quickly at the Ellicott City flooring department. Sammy the sales person was very friendly and egger to help. Jerry the supervisor resolved my problem. In about a half hour my order was filled and on my way. So happy some people do care 😊😊

I went shopping for a ceiling fan. While there were many great models on display, there werent as many in stock to purchase. I was satisfied overall, but it would have been better if there were more options in stock.

I rented a chainsaw here. The employee who helped me was friendly and knowledgeable. I had no problems at all. I shall return

Went to pick up an online order and there was nobody in line but nobody behind the counter would acknowledge me. Michelle, who was working on something else, noticed this and made sure I was taken care of. She deserves a shoutout for her excellent customer service. Then the lady behind the counter proceeds to lecture her by saying “oh you think I didn’t see him?” She may need some training on customer service as well as teamwork because she attempted to embarrass Michelle, but also if you saw me, you didn’t care that I was standing there. A simple “we will be with you in one second” would have been enough. Michelle maintained her professionalism and didn’t respond to her and it shows her character and dedication to maintaining her professionalism. We fill a ton of orders at this Home Depot for our retreat center, and thanks to Michelle we will be back. Had my only experience been with the lady behind the counter, it would have been our last order at this story. Thank you, Michelle.

My husband actually works here. But I still love home Depot. I probably shop there at least once a week.

Very inefficient staff, not willing to help the customers. Place the order for storm door over a month back but still did not hear back from them. Whenever I call to their customer care or front desk every time they give me some different information. One time they told me that order has been already shipped by vendor and they will receive it next week, when I called them next week they told me that order is still in production. Really pathetic customer service.Now it has been almost 2 months since order has been placed still item has not been received, and still they are not sure when it will be received. I asked representative to just cancel my order then she replied that as it is special order Home Depot will not refund my money. If that is the case then should give specific date when it will be received and if they fail to meet that due date then should refund my money. Pathetic service :(.

Very helpful employee named Chuck got us pointed in the right direction (we have only rarely been in this store). Everything we wanted was in stock. Checkout was easy.

I have spent thousands of dollars with this company. I recently purchased materials for a home improvement project and had to return some unused leftover material that was not damaged in any way. I was not refunded fully for what was returned. Although the item was found on the shelf in individual pieces I was told that the material was not coded so that I could receive a refund for the pieces I had to return. The Manager spoken to Terry at the Ellicott City location was very inept at handling customer service issues. Its sad that a billion dollar company could not return $7.50 back to me. I will be making future purchases for home improvement needs with their competition. Customer Service Counts. We are your business & your Job Terry!

I live near the one in CATONSVILLE that is the worst store you could go to. I started going to the Ellicott city store there are people there greeting you and showing you where items are you are looking for. I will drive the extra miles just to get the service I like to have three thumbs up. Keep up the good work.

Its a home depot, do you know what youre in for. Service has improved, although it can be hit or miss. I waited 15 minutes for assistance the other day. Things are getting better. The rental section joyfully assisted in fixing my sander. Service can be positive.

Standard Home Depot. They have a better selection of certain materials than the Catonsville location.

Sometimes the store isnt too well stocked, but they try. The employees are well versed in their topic of work. They have several self-checkout lines, which helps to speed the process. The store IS usually clean though.

Beware of on line orders. Bought something online that had to be ordered. It went from Hagerstown to Alexandria Va to ellicott city. Then it took 3 days for the staff to process it in.Be ready to wait for your stuff.

This is really good store and well organized. They have lots of option in each department. If I need any hardware items. I always use this store to buy hardware items. They have each items from low price to high price items with all quality items.They have good deal by seasonal deals and festival deals.I had bad experience in this store about wrong price tag. I went their for buy 2x2 wood and bring it to cashier they charged me 12 dollar and price was just 7 dollar and then I figured out after paid that they had wrong label on products. After this I went to get another wood with right label and then figured out that all wood labels were wrong.

Its Home Depot. You know what youre getting. Sometimes you get lucky and find someone who can actually help you, most of the time not.

It was the worst experience I had withHome Depot. I went there to make copies of my keys.Employees were the most unfriendly People I have ever encountered. Well, fine, I guess everybody has bad days. Understood. But!!! Look at this key? ! 😡 She handed me the duplicated keys in a paper bag so I didn’t notice it until I got home. The employee who helped me was a lady with long blonde hair. Will never return. Run away.

I purchased a Ridgid cordless vac on 2/23/21 and just opened the box on 2/24 to vacuum my car and to my absolute surprise there were loose hairs and debris inside the vacuum, in the filter and on the wheels. So please, if you are purchasing a product, look inside the box either before you have purchased (if you are certain you will buy)or after you have checked out but do not leave the store without checking the product. I gave a two star because after calling HD, the associate stated I can open the box before I exchange so that was a plus. Im okay with returns as long as they are in the same condition, meaning cleaned filters and vacuum, etc, but selling a product as if its in its original condition is where the issue lies with me.Follow-up: After leaving HD, I was extremely satisfied. The associate not only was polite but also took money off the exchange because of the subpar experience I had on 2/23. Two additional stars were given solely based on great customer service.

Buying nuts & bolts by the box works out to be cheaper than buying them individually. However, if you cant find the boxes of nuts or bolts, you are forced to buy them individually and spend more money. Yay! HD stock prices.

You cant find anyone working its like they see you hunting for something and they run the other way and hide.

I love this Home Depot. I will pass other Home Depots because this is my favorite. They are usually well stocked, friendly personnel, and a very organized store.The only thing that displeased me on todays visit is there are usually disinfecting spray and towels for the shopping carts. Sometimes there is someone assigned to spray the carts as you take them. However, on this visit there were none. You are still my favorite store, but with many of us in the critical Coronavirus age group, we need the disinfecting station or attendee. Thank you.

I have visited this Home Depot several times. The location is great, nice and clean. However, I had to go to a different Home depot because they didnt have the items what I was looking for. This was happened a few times.

It is not easy to find small items in this store, especially in the plumbing section. I usually find every item on the internet first, write down the aisle number, the bay number, and the price, and then go to the store. This helps me to locate 90% of the items, whereas about 10% of the items are nowhere to be found: they exist only in virtual reality.

So far, I have always been able to find what I am looking for without any trouble. For curbside pickup, Ive had some delays having merchandise delivered to my car and had to call, but I got it once I called. Prices are not bad.

Very very friendly staff. I knew nothing about painting my room but the staff made it very convenient easy for me to pick out the tools and paint that I needed.

Had a key made and it did not work. Also forgot to give me original key back could not get inside my house.

Get more people working so help is at hand. Couldnt find help for 20 mins and when I did she didnt know how to use the computer. Omg. Now I see why it wasnt crowded. Customer service. Recall people back to work asap. We still alive.

If I could put 0/5 I would. This place is out of control. The lines are long, and the employees are unhelpful. I asked an employee if Home Depot prices matches and he said yes. I waited in Isle 15 for 45 minutes for someone to come unlock the tool cabinet so I could get a new drill. I had to ask a cashier 3 or 4 times to send someone over to help. Finally someone came and got me my tool. They wouldnt even let me carry it, even though there are plenty more expensive tools in the store that are not locked up. I got to the register and was greeted by an extremely rude manager who told me that they will not price match the tool, even though it was the same model number online, and ship and sold by amazon. She was very impolite and basically said thats not her problem that I spent an hour and a half at the store and didnt get what I came for.

Please read the whole review. Over the phone experience was poor, due to lack of staffing. When I finally got to the store. Mr.Larry was very helpful but Home Depot puts bottom line before customer experience. Hardly anyone in the store to actually help customers. Called 7 times just to see if there was a truck available. Home Depot, do better!

Much better service today and they had excellent selection in the garden center -helpful employees. I had the ability to get in and out with what I needed quickly... A+

Went there to rent a cargo van to move some furniture. Took my license, insurance info, and explained the rates then I was on my way. Painless. And returning was even quicker. Had the vehicle for almost 3 hours and still paid less than what U-haul wanted. And to the young lady working at the register, great job. Able to multitask and help multiple customers at once and stayed professional the whole time. Kept the line moving. Appreciate it.

I had a really big order that I needed filled because Im building a patio... the employee that was supposed to help me walked away and never came back! This is the first time that has happened, they have many people in that store who really work hard and give great customer service but the one I met today... I wish I had gotten his name because I would put him on blast!

Well, due to this virus going around Everything Has Changed. As we already know. So, Home Depot had a line of 15 people out front before you get in the door. Which surprisingly went very fast, 10 minutes at the most. Then I got to the job site and forgot something and went back, not looking forward to the long line! Once I got there there was 20 people in line. LOL I was not happy. But, less than 10 minutes everybody was inside cashiers had no lines. The staff working there was not helpful at all! They did not know much about construction. But overall the experience was not bad. This is the Home Depot on Route 40 close to Interstate 70 Chatham Road.

Oksana was incredibly helpful when we bought our new fridge. However, her co worker didnt wear a mask. The only person we saw, customer or employee, without a mask

100% problem-rate picking up online orders thus far. E.g.:1. One time we picked up **an empty box** (literally!) when it was supposed to contain shelving hardware.2. Another time their records said that we picked up the last two items remaining from a purchase, yet we had only one item delivered curbside.3. Got yelled at the store one time for, effectively, not having prescience over their *specific* COVID procedures (even though we were wearing our masks and keeping our distance). Mind you, there were no signs listing the protocol the customers had to follow. Never had these unpleasantries anywhere during the same period of time (though seen the fights on TV). In fact, we left the store and purchased from a competitor, sans the protocols and the yelling.They get many pluses since we can find most of the items we look for at the store or online. Alas, the disarray we encountered in customer service takes many points off.

Went to buy lawn chairs and needed help ensuring the legs had pads as well moving them up front to be held while I went home to get my truck. Selena went above and beyond helping me with the purchase. She promptly arrived in chair section after being called and was pleasant and I formative throughout. Thank you Selena!!!

Ellicott, City showed 93 gallon bottles of Liquid Fence in stock. It took total of 45 minutes between waiting for Manager Marlon and for someone to find the 93 bottles only to find out they dont have any. The manager didnt even tell me there were none there

Ill start with ....We bought a beautiful Christmas tree at a great price!Ill add....They only had 2 or 3 trees out of the hundreds that they had in stock unbound and ready to view.It was a huge pain to cut them open and then try to imagine what it was going to look like once the branches settled.Not sure Im going to go through that process again next year to save $25...

Ive been trying to replace a window in my home, and I dont know the manufacturer. I came in asking about it, and one man said have a seat, Ill call right now for you so we can get this started. I thought that was so sweet. He easily could have given me the number and told me what to ask for, but he made the call for me and helped me keep looking after that.

Store locked when online says its open. Random things dumped on loading dock. Looked like no employees to man store. Then be responsible and list store as temp. Closed to save people the trip.

Almost all of interactions with the employee were positive, but on Sunday 8:00 pm I was stoping at the home depot on the way home, and didnt realize it was closing time, the manager who is African American yelled at me to get out of the door, when I didnt even enter the door yet, and when I came close to the door to look at the closing time information, he kept yelling at me I said Get out of the door!. He also yelled at his employee to make sure nobody gets in. I am very disappointed at how I was treated. And Please replace this crazy manager. Thanks
