We stop here every time we visit Ellensburg. It isnt huge, but it is a fun place to shop and my wife and I always find something that peaks our interest. On this visit we were pleased to discover it was still open and surviving at a time when so many of our other favorites have closes

Its a quiet store with a good selection. Its true that I wasnt immediately greeted on entry but I prefer to browse on my own rather than being interrupted and so I didnt find this rude at all. A couple of people came in with questions and they were readily answered. They can order in books if they dont have it in stock. Also there is a great selection of framed prints and photos upstairs!

This is a great shop for purchasing books and other cute, miscellaneous trinkets, and even some local art! Im a book store enthusiast, and I absolutely loved this shop. As a relatively new member of the Ellensburg community, I found some great Mothers Day gifts here, and I am excited to continue to patronize this business!

Really cute bookstore and well organized. However, when I went, I felt entirely uncomfortable. The owner was chatting with a friend and constantly complaining about the store (employees, taking inventory, etc.). When I left, I said have a nice day and got a very sharp goodbye from the owner. The entire experience just felt hostile, which is unfortunate since Ellensburg doesnt have many other bookstores to go to.

Ive noticed the last 2 or 3 times Ive been in that the woman behind the counter never even acknowledges me being there. Super awkward, especially because its always just me and her in there. Then called today to see if I could put my newly published coloring book in there, and she was rude, didnt tell me how she does consignments or if she buys the books and basically rushed me off the phone telling me to figure it out and call her back, sounding like she didnt have time for me, as if Im supposed to know what percentage she takes or what. I definitely wont be calling her back or going in here again. Like another person said in their review, its too bad because it is a cute shop. But cute shop or not, I wont give a cent to someone who doesnt have the time for others. Ill just stick to Gallery One, Jerrols, and the other book store on Main St.

Love supporting local business and finding new books, unfortunately this business while very cute, with a fantastic location, and aesthetically pleasing store front, lacks customer service. So much so that this issue can not be overlooked despite the many pro’s it does have. The owner/clerk with the gray, sensible, shoulder length hair is extremely overbearing. Immediately as I entered the store she basically blocked my passage into the store entrance. At first I thought it was a classic case of the “whoops! Awkward dance trying to pass each other” situation. But oh boy, was I wrong. She continued to follow me around the store. And peer at me through the other top of bookshelves and card display shelves and in general looked very annoyed that I was there. Constantly kept getting in my way trying to bump into me as I moved around the store attempting to shop and find a Mother’s Day gift. I finally realized that she was trying to bump into my arm where I was carrying my reusable shopping bag that I was carrying so that she would have a chance to peer down it. She was following me around bc she thought I was trying to steal. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was just a paranoid older woman who treated all customers like this. But then another woman came in she smiled at her amply did not follow her or block her passage multiple times as she attempted to shop, rather she kept following me. I am brown the other woman was white. I can’t be sure that she acted differently towards us because she is a racist or simply because she knew the other woman better. But what I do know is that no one should ever treat a customer the way she treated me. I did not purchase anything because I was not going to give the woman the satisfaction nor the money. She is horrible and genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

Michelle runs an excellent store and her knowledge of books and book selections regarding genre is amazing. She has recommended books to me that are now some of my favorites. Be sure to drop by and see what books she has on the Magic Table.
