Picked up an elderly neighbor this morning because Wise Automotive was fixing her truck. She was treated with absolute respect by the employees. They helped her with paperwork & answered all her questions. I was so impressed. My husband has his truck serviced here as well & has been very Happy. Thank you Wise Automotive !

They did a great job getting my ole bus back on the road. A part needed to be ordered as it was not available locally and the original manufactured part is no longer produced. They did the research needed to find a new replacement part and more importantly they called me whenever they had more information and kept me informed about the wait and when I could expect to be driving again. My old Explorer was overheating. It wasnt worth the money to put into it to fix it properly. Mr. Wise told me what he found and what it would cost. He was thorough and efficient. We ended up getting another vehicle, but things could have gone horribly wrong if ONLY a new radiator had been installed. He saved us a great deal of potential grief. Thank you you sir.

My car overheated on the way from Ellensberg to Portland. After a tow to this shop I was pleasantly suprised to find that the part was cheap and available (Heater control valve) and it took longer to get the part than to replace it. The shop atmospher was relaxed and they offered me water and soda while I waited. The mechanic kept me up to date throughout the process and even showed me the part that was broken and explained how it was supposed to function.They recommended some additional work after the test drive but stated it didnt need to be completed that day and even offered to wash the bottom of the car because of all the coolant that would produce a burning smell because it was all over the engine.If I were ever in this area again and needed work there is no other place I would go.

Matt is fantastic! Had engine troubles with our 2004 Chevy Duramax on our way to a festival in the gorge. Took it in and he had it done by the end of the festival and everything is singing like an angel! Thank you Matt! We appreciate you for fitting us in!

First Id like to say I have never written a review before but I felt like I had too because the people who work there were all very nice. They did a great job on my car and gave me a really good deal which included a free car wash! I highly recommend going to this place if you ever need work done on your vehicle! I have never had a better experience going to get a car maintenanced than I did going here.

I was barely two hours into an intercontinental trip from Seattle to New York, two days before Christmas. My Fusion was recently serviced, so when I saw the cloud of steam pouring from me at seventy miles an hour, my heart fell.Thankfully, Wise Automotive was only ten miles away. I limped my car there, and within minutes they had found the source of the coolant leak. The closest part was in Yakima, but it was secured quickly, and within three hours I was on my way.Matt and his crew are professional, friendly, and from my single encounter with them, I consider myself very fortunate to have called them first. Wise is the only shop I will go to in and around ellensburg. Definitely do not go to windy city chevy they will lie and cheat you the way they have me.

We reached Wise automotive from highway thinking there is something wrong with one of our car tire. I’m not sure of driving on highway until investigated. I’m not sure of his name, but he responded ASAP. Came for test drive with in just a few seconds, checked by driving car, investigated tires, steering and everything. If I were him I would definitely charge for investing time in checking. He didn’t even expect a penny and assured everything is fine with the car. Thanks a ton.

I was on roadtrip from Wyoming to Seattle when my check engine, brake light, ABS, cruise control and something else all on and blinking at the same time. We were driving across the state when we had a hub on our boat trailer overheat while we were in stop & go traffic West of Easton on July 2, 2020, I noted there was water in the hub. Dean Automotive & Towing referred us to Derek at Wise Automotive and Derek was able to fit us in to his schedule right away that Thursday afternoon. We went into town for lunch (The Palace - great restaurant!).Derek called with an update an hour later. He found the drum brake had bound up, and also found some water had gotten into the marine grease. Less than two hours later and we had repacked wheel bearings and the brake imbalance was fixed. He had us do a test drive first to make sure it was OK while he finalized the bill. What!?! Let a stranger rmtest drive before paying!!Ive worked for an 120 employee new car dealership for 16 years and I was compelled to recognize someone in my industry who did an excellent job diagnosing, keeping us updated on his progress, and did not try to upsell or charge for additional unnecessary work. I felt his charge was fair considering he had to squeeze me into his workload. AND, he texted me the next morning asking if I made it OK, if the brakes worked. Wow! That is so rare to have followup like that in any business!The car business in general has rightfully earned their reputation for being unethical & untrustworthy. However, Derek Knaus at Wise Automotive is the example in the correct way to treat a customer. That is the right way to build a business, and you sleep much better a night knowing you did the right thing.Derek, you aced it! Traveling through on our way back to Colorado and had issues with our car. We were in desperate need of getting it fixed so we could continue our trip. I do not recommend Wise Automotive!! Im extremely disappointed in them and the quality of there work!! They replaced the head gaskets on my Subaru over a year ago and Ive only put 10,000 miles on them. They clearly did not do a good job because the heads are leaking in multiple places. There is no reason the heads should be leaking anytime soon! Im also sure they were leaking before I even noticed anything which is unfortunate because I was a little outside of the one year warranty, which screwed me, even though I was under the 12,000 mile warranty. Either way, Matt kept saying how he wouldnt reimburse me for parts or would charge me again for parts if he did the work again because its money out of his pocket when in reality the money came out of my pocket in the first place. Very sloppy work and untrustworthy! On top of that I come to find out that if I had my head gaskets were replaced somewhere else, my cost would have been closer to $2000 instead of $2500. Keep in mind that they have a very high mark up on parts and will give you the run around instead of standing firmly behind there work. Find somewhere else to take your car so you can trust its done right!

Wise Automotive recently performed a motor swap on my Subaru and did an excellent job. They were straight forward about the cost as well as the time frame. I would definitely deal with them again.

If we could give 10 stars, we would. This place is unbelievably amazing. Never hesitate to choose Wise Automotive when looking for car service. Matt Wise and Dahlton just showed us unbelievable kindness by staying extra late on their Friday night to repair our car because we needed to get to Spokane by the end of the night.

Our radiator blew around noon on I90 heading to Spokane. I phoned all the auto repair shops in Ellensburg and they all said they couldnt help us until the next day except Wises. Matt at Wises Automotive said hed try his very best to help us the same day. We had our truck towed there and he had a brand new radiator installed and had us on our way in 2 hours. Better than we could have hoped for. He fit us in when he was personally very busy with his daughters wedding a few days later.

When you bump into the right mechanic, you just...you know. Matt was amazing, I was in deep trouble with some serious issues, it was going to cost me enough that i might not have been able to have a vehicle anymore, but in stepped Wise Automotive. They not only fixed my vehicle, they were very reasonably priced. The service was fantastic, they not only know vehicles, but they know people, and it felt good to be talked to instead of talked at. I have found my mechanic, and I would recommend (and I often do) anyone to at least let them give you a quote, you wont regret it, thats a guarantee.

I broke down towing my r.v. on I-90 W. Wise Auto was reccomend by AAA and even the tow truck driver said they were great. The week of 4th of July holiday, employees taking time off to celebrate and they still had my diesel truck repaired in less than 5 days. The bill was a little under what I actually expected. When the truck was repaired, they brought my truck to my at Yakima River R.V. Park (wonderful park and hosts). Truly a professional shop all the way around. Thanks for helping make a tough situation easier.

Passing through Ellensburg Wa. My F350 developed a leak. I had an appointment that evening Fife Wa. 150 miles away. Derek with Wise automotive was able to do a patch that would allow me to be on my way and make my appointment on time. I was returning through Ellensburg on my way back to Oklahoma so I ask Derek to replace my radiator as I didn’t want to break down on my way home. Derek was able to replace my radiator and at a fair price. Labor and part was well within expectations. I highly recommend Wise automotive Matt and Derek are honest hard working men who do business with a “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” attitude. I had a cracked radiator and went to Wise to get it fixed. The part was delivered and installed the next day, and they even offered to loan us a car free of charge. Will definitely visit again if needed.

Made an appointment to get my car fixed...a loose belt...15 minute repair...took car there at 8am and my ride drove 40 miles to meet me there...I was on time for my appointment...the man said it would be 2 hours at the most...he would call...I went out there at 12:30pm...car was not looked at at all. They did nothing. Dont waste your time. They SUCK!!!

Our motorhome broke down on I- 90. We called Matt and he said bring it in. We got towed and got there when they closed. They loaned us a car for the night and let us stay on the property. The next morning he got right on it and fixed it. He goes over and beyond to get things done!!
