Ernie is the most honest and fair mechanic I’ve ever dealt with. A rock busted our air conditioner and we took our vehicle to Hillmuth. They charged us over $200 just to diagnose the issue and told us it would be an additional $1700+ to fix. They didn’t believe me when I told them no because Ernie was going to charge us half of that to fix it- and he did. We used Metro Motorworks for years when we lived close by and now we’ll be driving out of the way for our maintenance needs because I haven’t met any other mechanic as honest or reliable.

Highly Recommended.We have moved to the area recently and were looking for a good local car mechanic to fix our Beloved Toyota Camry 1999 door latch, check engine light, break light, and do an oil change, so we decided to give Metro Motorworks a try. they fixed it in good timing and within a fair price. the car drives much better now and we know where we will be taking our cars whenever needed. if you are looking for an honest, reliable, high quality, car shop - you have found it!

Ive been going to Earnie for 20+ years now. All you gotta do is communicate with him. He WILL explain things about the repairs to customers. He has never been deceptive or predatory. I send all my friends to him. A+ on being genuine, support owner/operator businesses like these.

I have been getting my cars serviced at Metro Motorworks since I was 16 years old. They have performed service on all three of the cars I have owned over the last 15 years. The owner, Ernie, is nothing short of amazing. He is passionate, honest, and kind. While no one likes to see their check engine light come one, I am always at peace knowing Ernie will take care of it.

I took my car to this spot yesterday after my local mechanic suggested there may be an issue with my timing belt (minor issue). My car was making a noise once started and while driving, no jerking, shaking or hesitation. The owner came out listened to my car and said I would need to leave it for a couple days. I told him I would need to make arrangements for a rental and bring my car back in the morning. That evening I called the shop to find out what time they opened and when I did the owner said Oh I am so glad you called I was looking up your job and its going to be a little more extensive than I mentioned. See that job is calling for 25 hours of labor and its going to probably run about $3K. Actually if we are going to do all that I would just suggest getting a new engine. I cut that call real short because mind you at this point all this man had done was HEAR my car for about 5 minutes. Long story short, I took my car to my regular auto shop near my home this morning. Less than hour later the owner called me and said it was the water pump which was completely gone. The total cost was a few hundred dollars and I could pick my car back up at the end of the day! Needless to say I will NEVER use or recommend Metro Motorworks to a SOUL!! I think that was a complete and utter scam to tell me that I needed a new engine without even LOOKING at my car!! And I highly doubt if I would have agreed to his estimate and brought my car in, he would have turned around and after ACTUALLY looking at it and said oh I was wrong, its just the water pump. A shame how mechanics try to get over...ESPECIALLY ON WOMEN!!

THESE PPL ARE THEIVES!!!! THEY CHARGED ME $105 FOR A PART THAT COSTS $20 OR LESS. Whenever i asked for a receipt of the part they would just tell me the part number is on the receipt. They kept redirecting me. I should have paid more attention but i was in a rush. Who knows what else they lied to me about. Im never going back there. DO UR RESEARCH PPL!. MECHANICS ARE RIP OFFS!!! Pay close attention to your receipt and do ur RESEARCH!!. Yes their labor is cheap but thats how they real you in and then charge you extra in other areas. I shouldnt have trusted them. U shouldnt trust them neither. You also have to micromanage them. They tell you they will call you back but they never will. They call me like 2ce but not to update me on my car. U gotta always call them back. Nothing in this world is perfect. Watch ur back! My car hasnt shut off on me again so i appreciate that. I hope they actually fixed my car and not did some short fix that costed $300.

Ernie is an excellent and honest mechanic. You will not be nickeled and dimed. His staff is always pleasant and helpful... Metro Motorworks represents what an auto repair shop is supposed to be.
