Being an OCD car-owner, I have had a lot of mechanics in my life. Brian and his team are by far the best I’ve ever worked with. They are extremely thorough and transparent. I had a complicated 4x4 issue that kept recurring (not their fault) and they went above and beyond to figure it out and resolve it when most other mechanics would have given up or charged a ton of hours. I would look no further than API. These guys rock.

Can’t say enough good things about API and their quality of work. They have taken care of my cars (6) including my grown kids and families for many years now. I have utilized API for the maintenance repair of my vehicles for over over 15 years. Let me provide an example of the trustworthiness that I have and will continue to have for this dedicated professionals. I had an old Jeep which had a severe leak. There was 2 places where the seal could be leaking. They had to blindly diagnose the problem and selected the seal that is most common to be the cause of the leak. It turns out that this leak was beyond average (and possibly leaking from both seals). I had paid in full for the repair.This is where I give my utmost trust in API. Instead of charging me to go in and repair the second seal, they repaired it and did not charge me for the labor....stating that I placed my vehicle in their hands and it was their responsibility to repair it the first time.That level of service and dedication to workmanship is unheard of.I will refer any of my friends, family, and anyone that asks me if I know a mechanic. They are a great group of guys that’s personable and knows theirs cars. I could keep righting on all of the good things that they have done for me over the years (replace transmission, pre-sales inspection for my daughters car, engine work, brakes, and the list goes on).I even have asked them for advice on buying cars that I was interested in, and they tell me the year, make and models to avoid due to mechanical issues. That is what I call above and beyond the call of duty on their part.If I could give them more stars, I would just because they do more than just repair cars and get you out the door. This is very important to me and I appreciate them for all that they have done and will do in the future.

This is a great shop for auto repair. Everyone is professional and friendly. I have complete trust in their diagnosis and never feel taken advantage of. I receive honest answers regarding my repairs. During a recent issue with my car, Brian worked for MONTHS with my warranty company trying to get answers and a promise of payment from them for my very unusual repair. He was patient and understanding through the whole process. He gave me honest opinions and feedback as to what would be in store for me with the situation. In the end, I ended up not following through with the repair, NOT because of API, but because of the warranty company refusing to us a straight answer. I will definitely bring my car back to them when the need for a mechanic should arise.

I trust these guys with my life! After I graduated from college, a family friend gave me some advice which I now pass on to others. He said you need 3 things in life -a good lawyer, a good accountant, and a good mechanic. Luckily I have all three. Will not let anyone else service my cars!

Ive been working with API since 2003. They are always professional in their care of my vehicles, and on the rare occasion when there was a problem they have gone out of their way to make it right by me. Brian is a great guy and is excellent at communicating what he suggests be done from service to service, and making sure I approve of any work before they begin. Theyve even given me a lift to work once or twice in a pinch. Great mechanics are hard to find and Ill be a lifelong customer.

I have a brand new car and the dealership gave me a discount on oil changes. I took my car in for service and they told me instead of waiting 10 minutes it be closer to 3 hours...if then. I called API on my way out of the parking lot! These guys got me in for an oil change within 20 minutes of calling(basically my drive over)! In over 50 years of driving, API is undoubtedly the finest auto repair service with which I have ever dealt. I, my wife, and my sons have been going to API for all of our automotive service and repair needs for at least the last seven years and their service is flawless. Never once have the bona fide professionals at API been unable to service or repair any of our vehicles, nor have I or my family had to return a vehicle for faulty work. The mechanics, all of whom are acutely dexterous in auto repair, always listen to the customer when one is communicating the issues one may have with a vehicle, which certainly facilitates the experience at API. I once had a faulty engine that was warrantied by a company that proved to be an adversary rather than an advocate for my needs. API persisted in working with my credit union, who sold me the warranty, and held the warranty company’s feet to the fire until the warranty company fulfilled their contract. Any other repair shop would not have gone through this extra effort. Additionally, the shop itself is always neat, clean, and well-organized. Kudos to API. The expertise exhibited is virtuoso! Superstars!

These guys are a hidden gem. Its a shame they are so off the beaten path because they do amazing work. I actually found them by mistake. Thankfully its been a great experience. Brian and the guys are very open and do their best to accommodate your time and budget.I needed to break up my repairs into pieces and they gave me a perfect breakdown of costs so I knew what to expect. Great mechanics who offer honest service at a reasonable price. When I bring my car in they have no issues putting it up on the lift and showing me any potential issues before I commit to any repairs. Never feel like theyre cheating me and quotes are always broken down into parts/labor so you know what youre paying for. The price for parts is usually high but thats just the cost they pay from wherever they order from. Their labor costs are reasonable. Overall a good mechanic thats not going to try to cheat you. Recommended if you have a SAAB.

Oil change done very quickly

My car broke-down near API and they were able to squeeze me into the schedule the next day or so. Jeff (and the rest of the team) was very helpful and responsive throughout the process. They have great customer service and were very open and honest with me, which I truly appreciated.

I went in for an oil change and API discovered an oil leak that could have potentially caused serious problems for my car in the future. No only were they able to fix the oil leak at a reasonable price, they took me back to show me the oil leak and where it was coming from. Based on my multiple experiences with API Auto Service, I am confident I am getting a fair price on necessary repairs.

Excellent! My husband and I came to API to try to get fuel siphoned (not what you think - were shipping our vehicle overseas and had to have under a quarter-tank) and to confirm our emergency brake met the requirements of the shipping contractor (which the contractor hadnt told us about, but which the gentlemen at API were well-aware of). They mentioned up-front that they might not be able to access the fuel line without potentially damaging the vehicle and that the charge for fuel siphoning was $60. They tried several different ways to access the fuel line - even showing my husband - but could not find a safe way to do it. They kept us informed and, when they were unsuccessful, refused to accept any payment - even for the brake check. If we werent moving overseas, theyd have all of our auto work!
