Frank was out today to change the 220 behind my electric range to 120 for my new gas range. He was very professional, and took time to be sure he understood the requirements and answer my questions. He was also able to squeeze in extra work to replace two prong outlets in the living room to GFCI. Very happy Shaum Electric was could fit our work in on short notice (10 days), and with the work completed.

Mark was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable in regards to the service. On time and extremely friendly. Always good to see him come for any repairs.

Shaum wired our new building from a 480V upgrade through wiring of 12 machines. From quoting to completion of the job (12 weeks), everyone at Shaum was professional and respectful. The project was completed on time and to the highest quality.

Had a continuous problem with my bathroom lights and outlets. Frank came out on time and solved/fixed the problem within 45 min. Even through yelling daycare kids, he maintained professionalism and even explained and taught me some things in the process

They were in my house for 2 minutes. I asked for a quote on services that I were extras as I was curious about what the amount would be. The quote came back for 3x a quote I received for the wall switches I asked to be put in. The quote wasn’t itemized and you could tell they just didn’t want to be bothered. It was an easy way of them to try to make $150 just to give a quote. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Took the motor in and got it the next day. So far so good.

Service was fine, but the fact that they charge for drive time was not clear up front. They ended up crediting some of the labor cost because I questioned that. Make sure you get up front info on what you are being charged for.

I called last week to see if Shaum could work on my residential generator. They returned my call to let me know they were not certified on the brand I have, but had done some research and provided the names and phone numbers for two other contractors who could. One, I appreciated the quick return call. Two, to go the extra mile to research and provide service providers who could meet my need was just a class act. Much appreciated.

I had really unsatisfied service at my restaurant yesterday. The guy used 4 hours to check all the wires and even have to call another people come to help, and then told me it’s the model problem. They will order other one to install. I take this answer. But after they left I found out they didn’t connect back my make up air and lighting wires. So I call the company to complain about it want the guy come back to connect for me. They guy was unhappy and no any feed back why he leave it disconnected. He just left without any notice that he finished. But he didn’t connect the lights in side the hood,And kitchen switch which controls the hood system. I have to go the electric panel box to turn off and turn it on every time, otherwise leave the makeup air stay on all the time.I called to the company again today. They told me the guy must have reason to leave disconnected! I was mad because No matter what’s the reason he should let me know before it. I paid for people fix the problem not for make new problems! especially he won’t be back in next day, and just disconnected the wires without let me know. That Makes people working inside the kitchen really inconvenient!

I reached out to Shaum Electric in January 2020 to get a quote for electrical services on a kitchen renovation. When I contacted them and discussed the work that would need to be done, they scheduled someone to come out and take a look. I did not go with their services as they were looking to charge 2.5 - 3.5x the company I went with. However, I was shocked to receive an invoice 2 months later for $220. At no point when I called to schedule someone out, nor when the electrician arrived, nor even on the quote itself, nor on their website, was it ever mentioned that I would be charged for having someone come out to evaluate a job. This is an appalling business practice.

They will do all they can to help you. Best electric motor place i.ve ever been to. You wont be disappointed.
