I got a flat tire when I was out of state. Carter tire took me in right away and got it fixed in a hurry. The staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable. I wish I had carter tire in my hometown!

During the move from Chicago to NE Indiana, my 20’ U-Haul blew a tire while on the Toll Road. Don was a life-saver! He arrived exactly when he said he would, had the tire changed in no time and was extremely professional and friendly. We had 1 of our crews working in the area just before the Labor Day weekend. Kim at Carter was absolutely amazing. She was able to get our truck in and looked at same day! They were able to get our truck fixed and on the road so the crew didnt have to spend the long weekend away from home.

Carter Tires is the best! Amazing customer service, everyone is super nice and friendly. I got a flat on I-80 from Cleveland to Chicago and they were able to replace my donut spare on Saturday morning. (Most places I googled weren’t open on the weekends!). Reasonably priced, especially given my Subaru needed all four tires replaced for the AWD. Would highly recommend. They were also great with my pup who gives Carter 5 paws up!

If I could get a negative star it would beNEGATIVE 5 STARS-⭐️-⭐️-⭐️-⭐️-⭐️I went there to replace a hub and ended up replacing two bc John ( who quit a week later after I had them installed ) called me up and said driver side is shot too. I said to go ahead and replace it. I came to them bc I was hearing a growling noise under the passenger side and thought the hub was going bad and I was concerned. I checked it my self and I mistakenly thought wrong. ( a day later heard the noise again, but was a bit less of a growling ) I called and spoke with Shawn, to express my concerns about it 3 weeks later, bc I wanted to show up in person.Before I called Shawn, I got back home to my mechanic and he said that what I thought was going bad, wasn’t. He explain and I checked it, with my mechanic there and I noticed the wheel well cover ( picture above ) was cut, and still loose. My mechanic place $.25 plastic fastener in wheel well to secure it from being pushed by the wind. After he had, I never heard the noise again.These people failed to make right and lied about cutting the wheel well cover and said they never done that. The only reason I went to them because of my mistake. I told them that I wasn’t asking for the money back for doing the hub replacement on my truck. All I was asking was for the wheel well cover to replaced. That’s not $1,200. These people are liars and will take advantage of people who are out of town.HOTSHOT DRIVERS BEWARE THEY WILL SCREW YOU OUT OF TOWN TOURISTS STAY AWAY. CHECK WITH T&T Auto Service in Goshen. They will do you right. CARTER TIRE & AUTOMOTIVE, will take you money, even if there isn’t anything wrong with your vehicle. Shawn, and anyone who works in the office. Great experience - got a tech by the name of James Randolf to come out at about 8 pm and get a trailer tire patched up and the driver ready to roll in a very timely manner. Also at a great value compared to other repair shops.Highly recommend!

I was traveling and really needed my tires rotated. It was a busy day but they were able to get me in and back on the road quickly and safely! They treat everyone like family here and the place is clean and inviting. You can tell when a business owner is involved and takes pride in the success of the business and care of the customers.

The customer service always exceeds my expectations. Had a screw in my tire, and they were able to get me in within 3 hours to fix it. They reminded me of my road hazard warranty, and that I was due for the tire rotation that goes with it. Amazing place. HIGHLY recommend!

While traveling through Indiana on our way to Boston, we had a problem that set off multiple dashboard indicators. We were impressed with the reviews we saw posted here so we walked in to see if they could help us. John was extremely kind and helpful and told us he and his technician could take a look at the car right away. They were able to identify a tire stem valve problem and reset the car codes after running a diagnostic. We were in and out in under and hour. The entire staff in the office were kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to do business. We travel full time in our 5th Wheel and needed new tires. It has taken my husband about 3 weeks to decide which tires/rims to put on. Patti and Grace worked hours making calls and trying to get exactly what he wanted. The day of our appointment we bring in this 40ft home of ours into their shop. They moved vehicles around to fit us in, easy peasy. The service guys did an excellent job, very professional and courteous. They have earned our future business. Thank you Carter tires and especially Grace for the hour’s spent researching and making calls to locate what my husband wanted.

So far very disappointed they re-wired my pontoon trailer and when I got ready to leave for Fl.on Sunday the running lights didnt work been waiting for 4 days now for them to call me back like they said they would so far nothing I would give positive feedback if and when they resolve their service work no way to post pivtures

I was traveling on I-80 and had a tire issue while passing thru this area and stopped at Carter Tire and Automotive. They were extremely helpful and traveling alone on the interstate, I felt comfortable with their professional and honest service and would drive out of my way if passing thru that area again and needed tire assistance or other auto service. I know enough about cars to appreciate their honest and helpful service.

The staff is very very friendly and do a great job at getting you in last minute. Theyve done work on my vehicle before. However, I went in for a simple tire repair and was told it was unfix-able and needed 4 new tires, and over $1300 worth of other brake work. Took my vehicle to two other places and was told by both places my vehicle was in perfect condition. The tire was repaired for $20 and the first place even fixed a seal at no charge that Carter wanted to charge me $120 for a whole new system that wasnt needed. Will not be going back, they have lost my, my families and friends business for the dishonesty.

Service was beyond great

Our battery died at a gas station near the toll road. Carter tire was there in 15 minutes to jump us and get us back to the shop. They installed a new battery and we were back on the road very quickly.

We have been to Carter Tire several times to have both our vehicles serviced. We’ve always received great customer service from everyone there, honest answers to our questions, and fair pricing. We have worked the most with Tyannya, and she is great! She is very helpful and does her best to give us the most economical solutions possible.

On Sunday, August 2, my boyfriend and I were traveling home from a short trip to Canton, Ohio, back to our home in Minneapolis. We stayed overnight in South Bend, Indiana. We went to a gas station to get gas, and on our way out of the gas station, we hit a huge pot hole, causing a big hole in the front left tire. We called AAA, who sent a tow truck out to help us. The tow truck driver told us that since the tire was damaged and the fact that it was Sunday, we would have to stay overnight in South Bend. We were stranded. We decided to go to a few automotive supply stores to see if they could help us. The first one we went to said they could not help us. The second store, O’Rellies, was very helpful. The assistant store manager made several calls to see if someone could help us. He used to work for Carter Tire. JC answered and said he would meet us at the store and had a tire that would work for us. We drove to Carter Tire and JC met us there. We are very appreciative for JC helping us get back to Minneapolis that evening. He was professional and great to work with. If it had not been for Carter Tire and JC, we would not have made it back to Minneapolis that night. A person at a service center directed me to Carter Tires. The Carter Tire staff took quick care to release some extra air in my tires and re-calibrate the vehicle. I was on the road again in 15 minutes. I am very appreciative of their kindness and care. Thank you!

I rarely leave bad reviews, but if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Called in around 8:50 pm for after hours service on tires. I was told an hour and a half from a guy named James, because he was 40 minutes from the shop, and then another 30 minutes from the truck. The town where this place is located is actually 9 miles. Anyway. After an hour and 40 minutes and no show, I called him twice and he did not answer. Called the after hours phone number, and I was told he will not be going, and the excuse was that we cancelled. Are you kidding me? Having the truck on the highway in the break down lane and snowing outside, he made an excuse that we were playing phone calls with him and asking him to cancel, then not to cancel the service. I have proof and phone records that we did not talked to him, since he spoke with us about the tire size. Worst customer service ever. Actually worst service ever and having the guts to lie it is just unacceptable. BEWARE!

I am from out of town, and on a Saturday, right around their closing time of noon - I called to ask if they could look at and fix something that was dragging from under my car. Not only did they wait for me to get there, they immediately identified the problem and fixed it in no time. I was extremely thankful as I was heading back to Indy and every place was closed to get it repaired. They were professional and friendly and didnt even charge me. Now that is going above and beyond!

Okay long story short took my truck there for a alignment pulled out of the place and my steering wheel was sideways, took it back they forget to reset the sterring wheel control module. 1 year later my wifes car is leaking coolant decided to give Carter one more try big mistake, after the repair drove the car home and I started to smell gas, they called me a liar and keep telling me is was nothing they did, come to find out they forgot to tighten a gas line all the way, so I was driving around a bomb literally. If you value your time and money look elsewhere. They never offered me anything to make things right just a sorry and any more problems you know where we our at.

I called for a quote to have my brake pads and rotors changed on my vehicle and after talking with 3 people they claimed I need to speak to a mechanic and have to call back. Seriously how can your service reps not be capable of creating a simple quote? When I stated I wont call back that Ill just go somewhere else they seemed very happy with the lost opportunity. My wife and I were driving cross country when I realized I had gotten a gash in the sidewall of my rear tire. As I was hauling a trailer loaded with a car, I found the closest place I could go to repair it. I came across Carter Tire, and immediately upon pulling into their spacious lot, which was large enough for my rig, I was very impressed. It was very clean and organized, and when I inquired about what they could do about my situation, I was met by a great sales rep, whose name I believe was either Kenny or KD. He was able to quickly track down an exact match for the tires I had, was able to order, receive, and make the repairs within the hour. When I mentioned I was driving cross country and had animals in the vehicle they were very accommodating, and even allowed me to keep the vehicle running so I could continue to cool it for the animals while they completed the repair. They had me back on the road within the hour, and everyone there was extremely helpful and had a positive attitude, which was very refreshing from what I had grown accustomed to. If I lived in the area this would be my go to tire shop! Very impressive.

I believe in shopping local. A few weeks ago I took my tire to Carter Tire to see if they could fix a leak. I was told the tire was unrepairable and was only given options for a new replacement. After taking my tire to PTL in South Bend for a second opinion they were able to fix my unrepairable tire and it works just as good as new. I guess lying to customers in order to make a buck is how Carter Tire does business. Just be aware.

Love Carter Tire! My boyfriend needed a new tire for his Honda. We had been driving on a donut for at least 100 miles.Thought I called every place in Elkhart. Carter Tire was the ONLY place that was able to get the tire in the next day! Tyanya had someone from their shop PERSONALLY pick up the tire to make sure it got on time. Then we recently took my boyfriends work truck to Carter Tire to get 4 new tires. As soon as we got there Patti gave essential advice on which tires would be best considering he hauls RV frames all day. Once again, they were able to get us in right away, put the tires on, and have the truck ready just a couple hours later! I called them yesterday to have brakes checked out. Now his truck is CURRENTLY in the shop to get the back Calipers fixed. They IMMEDIATELY called a shop and was able to get the exact special calipers JUST after they informed us they may not be able to get us a price check until the following day! A gentleman worker also said he would stay LATE to make sure it was finished for work tomorrow! HOW OUTSTANDING!! Carter tire is AMAZING. This is the 3rd time going through them, and EVERY experience has been absolutely wonderful. I will recommend Carter Tire to everyone I know! And my boyfriend is going to recommend them to his boss as a go to!

I would recommend this company to anyone. I was in town for a football game at Notre Dame and unfortunately the minute I pulled into town i had issues with my brakes. I was 7 hours from home and worried about traveling back home. I pulled into Carter Tire and Tyannya got me in right away. They ran diagnostics and told me that the dealership i bought the truck from would warranty the problem since it was a problem specific to that model. They assured me that I would be fine for my trip home and the truck would be safe. They charged me almost nothing, but gave me piece of mind to enjoy the weekend. Great service!!! Thank you!!

Tried to overcharge me, when I inquired about the cost they instantly said the invoice was incorrect and dropped it some but it was still high. I paid and sat in my vehicle going over the bill when I noticed some odd things. I took invoice back in and again questioned them and they agreed again that they overcharged me. Gave me a couple bucks back and sent me away still unhappy with price and definitely not happy about being treated like I was
