They are very knowledgeable and our pool was sparkling clean!

The staff were helpful and friendly but when it came time to check out they charged me 80 dollars for a pool vacuum head. The same exact one is 35 on Amazon. I expect to pay more at brick and mortar stores but that’s a little ridicules. Won’t be shopping sopping there again.

Stopped in for some pool chems and advice and got more than we bargained for... Joe is a wealth of knowledge and loves sharing his years of experience and extensive knowledge. We will definitely recommend these guys to all our pool owning friends!

Performance Pool & Spa is one of those Hide and Seek companies. If you have any problems with your purchase, you call and play chase the person in charge, good luck! This company scams the customer into buying their cheaply built hot tub promising them the world and when you have issues, they act like they dont know you and they play the game telling you your salesman or manager is on vacation. Contact your Attorney General and report this scam business if youve been ripped off.

My pool was so green, and I went in to see if it was possible to get it clear and swimable in 2 days before a party we had, they were so helpful and got my pool to perfection, told us exactly what to do, and it all worked amazing!!!!!! Highly highly recommend going here!!!!!

We recently purchased a hot tub from Performance Pool & Spa. I worked with Joe from the beginning, and he has been amazing. He has taught me so much, and has come by our home many times to check on our spa and water quality. He is professional, knowledgeable, and very kind. He truly cares about making sure your spa is exactly the way you want it. His customer service has been excellent with not only our purchase, but even 2 months later! I highly recommend Joe if you are looking to make a hot tub investment.

Im very confused by my experience with this business.I decided to stop by and look around. There were two people working, they were very friendly and asked what I was looking for. I told them I was wondering if they sold pool covers and they said yes. I told them I wasnt sure about the dimensions of our pool (obviously I had an idea of the size but I didnt want to order the wrong size) and they said they could get me a pool cover around that size (and even cut it down to size if the covers they have are too big) by the following day and told me approximately how much it would be. I was like, cool, Ill call you later with the exact dimensions and order it. Thanks!Once I got home and found the dimensions (I was right on about the dimensions when I told the people at the store earlier but I wanted to double check), I called them as I said I would. The guy who answered was unprofessional, I thought I had the wrong number, but I didnt. Youd think a business would answer the phone by stating the name of the business and a how can I help you but no, he sounded rude. Also, he was too busy to talk to me because he took down my number and said someone would call me back later. No one called me back. So I called again. This time I was told that they didnt have a cover small enough? What?! His tone sounded annoyed, irritated, crabby... Like, he was just trying to get me off the phone. He didnt even say goodbye or a can I help you with anything else? He just hung up. Honestly, it really sounded like they didnt want my business. As if because I wasnt making a huge multi thousand dollar purchase, they werent interested. I dont know what *I* did wrong, I was super friendly and willing to do business with them. Its ridiculous that I, as a customer, am even asking what I did wrong. A business should be about making things work for the customer, not a customer trying to make things work with a business. Im all about buying from the local businesses rather than going to Walmart or whatever, which is why I decided to stop in the first place. Its their loss because selling me a simple pool cover now could have turned into a much larger purchase in the future (CAN I GET A HOT TUB?!!) but no, Ill be going elsewhere. Not to mention, had I been happy with how I was treated, I would tell everyone how helpful they were (would have been) and recommend them, but again, no. Instead Im writing this google review about my disappointment in a local businesss lousy attitude in hopes they see the errors of their ways. Best of luck Performance Pool & Spa Elk River!

Purchased an above ground pool at a local box store. Had my water tested 4+ times with them and spent $200+ on supplies. Upon following their recommendations (which also included spending $400.00 on a pump for a $300 pool) I simply continued to fight the water problems - clear to brown to green. Each time they simply advised what and how much to dump in the water with little to no explanation as to why or how it would combat the issue. At the point of simply wanting to drain my pool and start over I went to another pool store where they tested my water and spent 30+ minutes with me. Teaching me, helping me find the right chemicals and explaining how I could personally manage much of this on my own - with their goal of getting my familly into the pool and enjoying it. Every time I walked into Performance, I found myself purchasing yet another product before I left and my water quality never resolved itself. Fortunately, for myself, I found another pool store down the road.

Over the top helpful. I have been to other pool and spa stores in the area and this was the best by far. I was givin information that I didnt ask for but was incredibly useful.

Ive had my swim spa for 14 months, so it was time to drain and refill. After refilling the swim spa my water was green. I contacted Jared at Peterson Pools & Spas in Elk River. He suggested that I purchase some Scale & Stain removal chemical. My water was clear before, but this really made it crystal clear. Thank you so much Jared for your help. I enjoyed swimming in my swim spa before but now that I can see the bottom of the pool while the jetted system is running, Im just ecstatic.Thank you!!!

Very helpful and knowledgeable, but expensive for some of the same things you can pick up at Walmart/Menards.A must though to get your water right to start with otherwise you will be forever chasing a clean sparkling pool.

Unfortunately they are under new ownership. Today when visiting to get start up supplies for setting up our pool, they had their TV Blairing MSNBC Channel which is known for pushing false narratives. And it was disparaging the cops and the rule of law.Will take our money elsewhere! Can get supplies online and not pay your overpriced aged on the shelf products. Go back to the seven county metro w your liberal views.

Always very friendly and helpful. I had an especially helpful experience when I called and needed help with my spa. As I was about to hang up, they recommended someone that would be able to help me out. As it turns out, this other business was able to solve my problem and help us out in a very big way. It may not have benefited Peterson directly, but because of them, I will be back to them for all my spa needs and recommend them to others - as I already have! I give them 5!

Joe has been SUPER helpful and friendly. They are very knowledgeable & well worth the drive across town! It is easy to dump a lot of $ into misc chemicals, where they have saved me $ by selling me what ACTUALLY WORKS the 1st time. Try them & you wont be disappointed!

Had a pool liner replaced with a new LED light with multiple colors. Tom and his crew did a first class job. Dana was the lead installer a very hard worker with top quality. Great communication through the entire process. Liner looks great and the new light is super cool. Glad we decided to go with Peterson Pools the experience was great.

Just bought a new Caldera spa from Peterson Pools. We had a great experience from the time we met with the salesman, Joe Linn, up through delivery. We got all the information we needed to pick the right spa, to get ready for delivery and finally how to set-up the spa and get the water just perfect. We have had other spas in the past, and this is the best by far!

Wow this place has completely gone down hill with there customer service ! Talking down to a customer is what they specialize in now .Upon entering there store the lack of customer care is the first thing that shows. Most businesses that really want to see you come thru there doors will put there food down and get up to talk with there customers . Or at least take the time to listen to any questions one has .Very very rude . Inconsiderate. And Id have to say arrogant would sum up his attitude.

I have been to Peterson many times in the past, Daryl was extremely helpful when we moved in and had to figure out our in- ground pool. Most recently, I worked with Tristan M. on Friday June, 9th. I stopped in to get some chlorine pucks. He was friendly and knowledgable about where the product I was looking for was located and all the different sizes. He didnt hesitate to ask if I needed help right when I walked in and was available instead of being in the back of the store. I could tell it had been a crazy day (first warm day of the year!) but he was still helpful and friendly. I highly recommend heading in!
