Service is horrendously expensive, a third more compared to other dealer and independent garages. On top of it they lied about the price of parts (double the real price). In this age of internet it does not pay to be dishonest. Shop around unless youre real desperate.

This dealership is the best. I used Carfax to find a car online and called Mazda of Elk Grove ASAP. I got an excellent deal on my 2010 Toyota Corolla where most dealerships were overpricing their used cars. Needless to say Gerlie Fevidal provided excellent customer service and even sent us a video of the vehicle before we arrived. I would recommend buying a car from this dealership to anyone looking to buy.
Came here to look at a Mazda CX-5 we saw online confirmed price 25,851 online came test drove it checked out fine went to sit to run numbers and waited 30ish mins and Eric came back with a bigger price saying system wasnt updated that they entered the wrong price online . Price had jumped up like 3 grand even tho we called and confirmed price before showing up . Kinda fishy and waste of time

This is the third car we’ve purchased from Elk Grove Mazda. They clearly take pride in the experience that they offer their customers. We just bought our CX-9 from Garrett who gave us a great deal and followed usual covid guidelines. He helped me limit the amount I’d be around others by doing most of the negotiations over the phone and deliver the car and paperwork to my house. Bought a Mazda CX-5 CPO 2018 like 3 months ago. Dealer delivered the car. The interior was not serviced up to the mark. The car still smells bad.Not sure how can someone miss to do a full tank of fuel while delivering a car.

Mazda cars have poor transmission system and this dealership has terrible customer service. My transmission broke down within extended powertrain warranty, but the the dealership declined claim due to lack of maintenance records. What does oil change record have to do with the transmission?! They recommend to replace parts that no longer needed any repair or maintenance work... a means of haggling more money! See pictures for terrible transmission replacement job... I barely got home from the dealership to see a huge fluid leak underneath. They didn’t even connect the hose correctly. Stay away from Mazda cars and this dealership.

I have an unresolved issue regarding my vehicle that I purchased from this dealership in 2015. All four of the door lock actuators have failed and have been replaced over the past five years, one has been replaced twice. My car alarm goes off randomly due to this issue. I have brought my vehicle to this dealership every time and the problem has never been properly resolved even when my car was covered under their platinum service coverage contract which is their best warranty plan.This year (2020), I have been to the dealership three times for this problem. Once in April, again in June for the same actuator that was replaced in April, and again in July for an actuator that was replaced in 2015. There must be a bigger problem with the vehicle that has not been addressed causing the actuators to fail so often.I have spoken to the service managers (new and old), the owner of the dealership, and reached out to the Mazda Customer Experience Center. Instead of resolving the issue, I have been told that this is normal behavior from any vehicle and that I will have to pay for all future diagnostics and replacements of any other failing door lock actuators (this is not cheap).This is an issue that should have been fixed when I first brought my vehicle in for this concern less than six months after purchasing from the dealership. I am unsatisfied with the service I have received especially considering that my platinum service coverage contract was practically useless and am still dealing with this issue five years later.I do not recommend purchasing from this dealership as I have not received the excellent service they pride themselves on.

Im a little bit disappointed in this Mazda of Elk Grove. I had an accident and my car, which was a Mazda 6, was totaled. I had to go get another one. I was really pressured at the here when I went to look at another Mazda and of course I had just had an accident I need another car and I allowed myself to be pressured. Im not happy with the car I bought. I wish I would have done were shopping around, since this is located in an area with a lot of other cars. This Mazda 6 is not the same quality as my previous Mazda 6, so it doesnt have the same types of things like a Boze radio or a sunroof. However the sales person was so pushy and I guess Im just a pushover. So if you go here you need to be a little bit careful. I wish I could have taken the car back but obviously its way too late and I cant. So Ill hang on to it for now and put up with it. And then look for something else, probably not a Mazda again even though I do like Mazdas. Again just be cautious here. I guess maybe a lot of car dealers might be this way but this was just too much. Even when I said well let me think about it -- it was push push push push push. Yeah be careful here.
Usually I dont post negative reviews, in fact, I dont think Ive ever posted one, but I actually cant believe this.About a month ago, myself and Steven Daniel Melbourn-Diaz went to Mazda of Elk Grove to take advantage of the free car wash that they include with the purchase of your vehicle (I bought a 2017 Mazda 3 from them)I only traveled down there so that I could clean my wheels, as they had brake dust on them and were looking less than fresh.After going through the wash I got out and checked my car out, and my wheels were still filthy, so I figured Hey, why not go through again, this time Ill pay to upgrade to the deluxe which specifically states it cleans the wheels. So I went through again, this time paying for the deluxe.While waiting for the wash to start, we noticed the light never went off to signal that the Wheel Cleaning portion was activated.I walked into the office and advised the manager that their car wash wasnt working as expected, and he told me to go through again and that he would authorize the wash to be upgraded for free when we came through again. That didnt happen. At this point Ive been there for almost 45 minutes trying to get my wheels cleaned, and so I walked back in and said hey, it didnt work. I asked if they could just manually clean my wheels, for the trouble, and he said no. He offered me a free car wash upon returning in the future, which I declined, because that didnt make any sense to me at all.I walked over to the service department, adjacent to the car wash area, and told one of the service reps what was going on, and he said Ill take your car around back, and well take a brush to the wheels. I said that would be perfectly okay. He comes back, and my wheels arent even clean. It looked like someone haphazardly brushed them and walked off.Needless to say, I left pissed. Fast forward to today, I go to get my oil changed. I brought my mom along with me, because I wanted the company and because it would be nice to get out of the house with her, even if its to run an errand.We get there, and I walk up the counter, and the car wash guy, is now part of the service department, and is the guy taking care of us. Oh no, I thought.He asks if Im there for a service, I tell him yes an oil change, he asks if I want a tire rotation, I said if its included in the free service, (which it is, all of their services include a free tire rotation) and then he tells me it will be 90 minutes total, that theyre going to change my oil, rotate my tires, and wash and vacuum my car. I was pumped because hey, I like my car to be clean and its been a while. ETA was 1:15pm.Fast forward to 1:15, were ready to go. I go pop in and check on my car, and he says oh itll be ready in a minute.15 minutes later, its not ready. I go check again and he says oh dont worry itll be around shortly they have a backlog in the car wash area, so it wont be long. Then he leaves for the day, or lunch, or whatever and says bye to me. I said, okay, no problem.Another 15-20 minutes later Im annoyed, at this point its been over half an hour over the 90 minutes I was quoted, and my mother has to eat.. (shes a diabetic) I advised the service rep that was there that I would like for him to get my car and if they were in the middle of cleaning it to just have them rinse it off and bring my car around. I had to go.I thank him for doing so, and I sign out with the cashier and go to get in my car.My car is dirty. As in....dirtier, than before I brought it in. It looks like someone slung mud on it or something.All of that being said, Ill never go back to Elk Grove Mazda again, and they have for sure lost my business in the future.Get rid of Ruben, and give Kyle some recognition because he seems to be the only one in that department that knows what hes doing.
Probably the best Mazda dealership near the Sacramento area. Highly recommend Matt if you are looking for a Mazda. Before going there, I visited several other Mazda dealership and this one is the best! They are very transparent and very patient. They wont try to rush you to buy a car and are very helpful on finding out what is the best for you. Matt gave us a very detailed instruction on how to use all the features of the vehicle the day we pick up the car.

It kills me to leave this review of this dealership, due to the that fact that I know that they have such great potential. This would be my second purchase with this dealership. The first car we purchased was with their sister store, Nissan of Elk Grove. Loved our experience, so when it was time to buy something else, I went straight there. Quickly it became a disappointing nightmare that left me distrustful.Let me first say, that Garrett did a fantastic job and working me a great deal! I got everything I wanted, and a good interest rate and money for my car. Although I was offered more for my trade at another mazda dealership, my car was at Mazda of EG. But the sales people that I worked with lacked expertise, drive, and overall sales experience. I pretty much sold myself a 2020 Mazda. Im not sure if they thought that I was not serious, although I came with a approval from a bank. Maybe they thought I did not deserve the same care and attention. Im not sure.The first car I fell in love with was a 2019 Mazda CX-5 Grand touring. It was beautiful, but it was not ready to be put out. Luis assured me that he would get it ready for me, but was unsure about when it would be available. I told him thats okay, to contact me when it would be ready. He texted me that night and said it was ready after all, just needed a detail. I told him that I would be there to take a look the next day.I drove 50 minutes from my house, and the car is not ready. Luis was busy with other customer, and Ethan took over. Ethan took me in a test drive in a dirty car, did not tell me anything about the car, did not sell me the car. He sat in the back while my girlfriend and I talked about the car. I left disappointed about my experience, but decided that I really liked the car and would like to try a 2020 CX-5. I applied online, text Luis about my decision. The next day, I didnt get a call back or a follow up. I ended up calling the dealership to see if I could have someone help me with my purchase.Ethan helped, he showed me a 2020 Mazda CX-5. We worked the numbers out, I told them that I needed to think about it ( because I was distrustful) and Ethan appeared agitated. I went ahead and looked at other cars. A dealership stated that they could beat their offer, and they did. I told Ethan this and he said he was unable to do more for me. And that he was disappointed because he took off time from his medical procedures to help me out (lol). I told him that they do not have the color that I wanted and I would think about.After thinking, I said yes I would buy the car from Ethan. I texted him. Made an appointment for 3 the next day. At 1 pm, Ethan texts me and says the deal is off and they could not help me. I have NEVER had a dealership tell me a deal is off after confirming or refusing a sale. Extremely weird practices. Deals our a dime a dozen, I do not have to buy from any dealership and obviously they dont need my money!I ended up buying the car anyway, yes I was really trying to work with them. I believe in them. I realized after buying the car, that no one showed me how work my vehicle. I did not know how to turn on my lights. I watched a youtube video to learn how to sync my car with my phone and all the basic features. Very ridiculous. I will say that management has been super responsive, and attempting to make it better by having me come in to explain my car. I will probably not buy from Mazda of EG again. Its really not worth the hassle to be treated poorly. My car is beautiful by the way!

My wife Rachel and I went through the car buying process a week ago after her car was totaled in a parked car accident and Mazda of Elk Grove was extremely helpful in finding our new car. We already had an idea we were going to like the Mazda as my mother owns an old CX-7 and my sister has the 3, so we looked for a family car with the CX-5 and had Elias take us around in a 2016 and 2017. He was upfront and forthcoming with everything, in fact, tried to save us a couple bucks by talking to us about how the 2016 was virtually unchanged in 2017 in terms of the performance of the car itself. However, we knew the little things about the 2017 made it the right car for us. Being in Stockton, its a bit of a trek to Elk Grove and to the various other Mazda dealerships around the Valley and Bay Area, all of them were friendly to us (must be a Mazda thing), but we kept coming back to Elias knowledge and ease of finding us the right match. He wasnt pushy (unlike the Toyota guy who tried getting us in the inferior Rav 4 that night) but understood we were shopping around, but in our minds we knew what we wanted. We agreed on a price, which was close to a price another dealership offered and were ok with paying the extra because of Elias service and patience with us. It was the first time my wife had ever bought a new car so it was new to her, and for me, itd been 10-years since I had been through the process, and he made it easy, even texting with me on his own off days because of my schedule being so hectic. We made an appointment and bought the 2017 Mazda CX-5. He had a small problem worked on at the service department and was ready for a drive when we got there from Stockton. After the purchase they were very thorough with looking the car over and noticed a chip on the hood in the paint, which they said theyd fix another time no charge to us. Car buying can be a hectic thing, and stressful, combined with your everyday life too, it can be a huge pain, but Elias and Mazda of Elk Grove made it as painless, and actually fun, as possible. Consumer Reports raves about these cars and so do I. My mothers CX-7 was my favorite car Ive ever driven until I stepped into my new red, 2017 CX-5 and I knew I found the right car for us. Id do business with the dealership again and if I ever wanted another Mazda, Elias will be getting a call.
Look for Jarell Boyd. Simply the best salesman I have interacted with in over 20 years of car purchasing experience. He is courteous, professional and has full knowledge of his cars. We did not feel pressured at all. He communicates well and has excellent follow-through with what he promises. He goes out of his way to make your experience pleasant and hassle free.
This was my first car buying experience, and it was much easier than expected. Being a novice car buyer, I was nervous about pushy sales people, but everyone at Elk Grove Mazda was great, and I was comfortable the whole time. Kyle helped me get the exact car that I wanted at a fair price. He explained all of the important things, without overwhelming me with details about features that I didn’t want or need. He even went as far as getting me a hat, so that I would feel like a part of the Mazda family :) Although I plan to have my new Mazda for a long time, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Elk Grove Mazda to anybody.

Horrible experience. Was hoping to purchase at this dealership, but financial issues caused me to wait to purchase. Dealership took a $500 deposit to hold the car while I reviewed my monthly budgeting. Called dealership promptly to let them know I was not in the position to purchase brand new at this time and to refund my credit card. Was told ok. Was sent another offer, thanked them, but cost was still too high for me. Again asked them to refund my credit card. Was told I needed to come in for refund.I do not live near the dealership or am currently drive the most reliable car (hence the reason for searching for a car). Was refused a refund over the phone. Have contested the charge with credit card company. It is obvious this dealership wants to sell a car at at any cost. As a woman, I feel this would not happen to a man. Avoid this place!

Their service in my experience has always been superior to anywhere else I have been. They communicate with transparency and provide quality service on every visit. I ordered my car over the phone, because I wanted something specific. The process was very straightforward, and I was impressed by their honesty and transparency. I found out that unlike a lot of dealerships, they are not paid on commission but solely on a salary basis. I think that is why they were not pushy and why they didnt try to use tricks to inflate the price. I would definitely go there again if I were in the market for a Mazda.

Well, had my second maintenance appointment on my 2016 CX3. First I love the car, second the service staff is so friendly and accommodating. I walked in and Billy greets me with a smile and a hello. He took my information and let me know that it would be about 90 minutes and that I was more than welcome to sit in the waiting area. The waiting area is very tidy and comfortable. I had also asked Billy how I could change my last name on my account with Mazda and get personally took me over to the Finance person and asked him what was the best route for me. It was very nice of him to break away from his area to take me over there. As I drove away from my service a light and alert sound went off in my car. I turned around and drove back to the service area and Billy saw me drive up and immediately was coming outside. He explained to me what the alert was about and I was comfortable with everything and drove away happy.I have been very happy with the service department at Mazda of Elk Grove. It makes it so much nicer to sit there and wait for the car because you know that you are treated well and you arent considered just another car coming in for an oil change. Thank you Billy for the great service and every one in the service department you are all so pleasant to work with. :)

Our family was pleasantly surprised that our test drive experience was friendly and efficient - the staff met all of our expectations. The salesperson did not try and sell us the car, nor did we feel any pressure throughout our visit. Our salesperson was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the vehicle, answered all of our questions about the car, and provided quick research and follow-up on the few questions he could not answer immediately.
One of, if not the most pleasant experiences I’ve ever had at a car dealership. They were on time with my appointment, which I was able to make online. Chris was friendly and quick in getting my car checked in, and worked with Bill to get me a courtesy ride to work on time (which was pretty far away). Cannot recommend these guys enough.

This review is late but here it goes. Well for starters he was very friendly and personable. The dealership was very well kept and clean. Anthony was nice and we laughed through out figuring out which car that suited me. He made sure I was getting a car that made me grin and happy when driving. He is very well suited for this on helping us buyers find the right vehicle. I appreciated his time with me even though I couldnt make up my mind. lol But you cant go wrong when working with Anthony. Brought my car in due to my brakes were making a hissing sound. I was greeted promptly by Kyle. He looked over my past visits for service and noticed that the last person that assisted me was Chris. I was transferred over to Chis right away. The customer service I received from Chris was top of the line and made sure that I was well taken cared of by getting loaner and had me on my way in no time. He made sure to keep me up-to-date with my car, provided options on what needed to be done and addressed all of my questions and concerns. As for the cost, I ended up paying less than what I thought it was going to cost. All the employees in the Service Department at Mazda of Elk Grove are so friendly and courteous. My experiences at this department has been nothing but pleasant! I wont take my vehicle to serviced anywhere else! Keep up the good work and wonderful customer service!
I came in with the intent to just test drive and get more information about the 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring. John Candelaria was beyond helpful and worked with us so that my husband and I were able to actually walk out with our dream car. Not only did we get an awesome deal, but we were treated wonderfully. He is super well-versed with the brand, and he showed us all of the great features the vehicle had. This was also our first time financing, and I was pretty nervous... but thanks to John, the process was STRESS free. He wasnt pushy at all, and he took the time to explain things clearly. If John hadnt reached out, I would still be driving my 1999 Toyota. I cant thank him enough for helping us complete a much needed upgrade.

Very pleasant staff. Friendly, helpful without the overbearing sales pressure. Garrett suggested and arranged an extended test drive, where I had the chance to get a feel for the car at my own pace without the distraction of a salesperson in my ear. I did a huge amount of research on the CX-5 Signature, and the salespeople were knowledgeable and honest about their product. They are a high volume dealer and quickly matched the best offer I presented them with. After agreeing to the sale, I was offered the typical dealer offered accessories and options, they again presented knowledgeably and professionally. I was very surprised each time whenever I politely declined an option, because most dealers I have worked with in the past would add significant pressure to up-sell me at that point. Like most people, I usually hate going through the pressure and sales pitches. I am happy to say that this is an excellent dealer, and a pleasure to work with.

I was drawn to Mazda 3 because of the high ratings is receives on websites. I was drawn to Mazda of Elk Grove because of the prices. I will return to Mazda of Elk Grove because of the outstanding staff. They were friendly, comfortable, and truly concerned that I had a great experience and found the car that suited me . . . even though I wasnt clear on what exactly I wanted when I arrived. They expressed a sales style that supports the idea that being on the customers side is more effective than bullying or pushing. I had a great afternoon with friends, and Im delighted with my car!
This one star review is for the car wash only. Customer service, the people, and products deserve five star.I have a Mazda 6 Touring and every time I go through the car wash, the bonnet never ever gets clean. The cleaner doesn’t even touch the bonnet at all. I have to run it through twice or sometimes even thrice to get it clean. It’s ridiculous.Thanks.

This is why I decided to I buy my new 2017 CX-5 at Elk Grove Mazda. I took a test drive with Cooper; he was very courteous and knowledgeable about the features of the car. I came back with my husband and was helped by Marcus. He too did an excellent job showing us the vehicle and was very patient in helping us decide on the color we wanted. The service at Elk Grove Mazda is excellent. By far the best I have dealt with. But when the sales team pitches the free lifetime car washes and that the car wash is so good absolutely killed the experience. Their car wash is by far the worst drive through in town.
My experience with Elk Grove Mazda was Great! I was referred to EG Mazda by a neighboring dealership salesperson who said Rachel would be of great help to me, and she was. She was friendly, she had a smile on her face, and she was not a pushy sales person. She receives extra credit in my book for not being pushy and trying to force me into something I did not want. She listened to what I wanted and was able to better educate me on what my options were with regards to getting a fuel efficient vehicle. I ended up purchasing a vehicle from Mazda with a good payment and maintenance package. I appreciate Rachels honesty, suggestions, patience and willingness to listen to what I wanted. Outstanding customer service from the moment you walk in, not too pushy at all. They have a play area for the kids, snacks & drinks, & a large TV to watch while you wait. We had an appt with Nick but we showed up a little early, he was still with his previous customer but made sure to acknowledge us & make us feel welcomed. From the beginning to the end he was very thorough & kept us in the loop every step of the way. He even took the time to teach us how to operate our new car!
