After my local steel shop went out of business I’ve been looking for another steel supplier for various projects/hobbies I’m constantly working on. I’ve tried a few different places and these guys absolutely blow everyone else out of the water. Everyone I’ve encountered here has been nothing but friendly and knowledgeable.The shop itself is clean, well organized and fully stocked with everything imaginable. If I could give 10 stars I would!

I was referred to Alro Steel, Busse Road in Elk Grove, by Rob Renner at Concept Industries, EGV, as I needed a custom cut piece of tubular steel. I walked in the shop, and was greeted by Matt. I explained what I needed, so Matt took me over to the stock area, and showed me some stock, then suggested what he thought would work best.I told him I’d like to purchase it, pay for it, then pick it up the following morning, as I had to be at my shop in fifteen minutes.Matt was nice enough to cut the steel right then and there. He said I’d be out of there in less than ten minutes, which I was.AWESOME SERVICE, AWESOME GUY!Thank you Matt!Thank you too Rob, for introducing me to this company with AWESOME service.

Went with my Mom to Alro to check the place out because she needed steel rods for a shop project. When she saw what they had inside the store, she was elated — like a kid in a candy store. They also sell UHMW and other plastics at this outlet in different thicknesses which excited her further. Idk, my Mom is weird. One of the best things that she said she liked about her store visit is how nice and helpful the store associates are. Customer service is 10/10. 👍🏻

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I get here my steel for my Jeep build and some other projects I am working on. Always fast service and have everything I need. Plus bonus points, they are 15 minutes away from my place!

Called to quote some 416 stainless in certain sizes, was told he will call me back. He never called back, while material was sourced and parts made already. Next time will look elsewhere!

People are courteous, they dont expect you to have any knowledge and let you just roam and search. They will help with your question, and the selection is nice, especially if you are looking for remnants at discounter rates.
