Great prices however workers don’t pay attention. I’m 9 months pregnant, took a swing off the top shelf and brought it to the front desk where I waited until the lady wasn’t busy to ask if she could hold the swing for me until I was ready to cash out. She said yes. When I went to cash out they told me they sold the swing to another lady. It wasn’t even 35 minuets. Wish they wouldn’t waste my time telling me they would hold something I took my time dragging off a shelf only for another lady to walk out with it. If you can’t guarantee a hold, just say that.

Employees were fine, but their prices! Omg I’ll just go to Walmart and get it cheaper or order off Amazon

When I go back home to KY, I always stop at this store to pick up a few items for my niece and nephews. The store is always clean and organized and they have a good selection of items to choose from.

It’s a children’s consignment store, not a Nordstrom. Don’t expect great service and sparkling new clothes. During sales you can get clothing for $1 a piece, otherwise they charge $3-$8 for outfits, around $2 cheaper than Target. Staff has always been friendly and respectful to me as I’ve been to them. Definitely the best place to get children’s toys, bedroom gear, and extracurricular clothing. I’ve only sold a few clothes and a baby swing to them, but received $45, which was great as all items were used.

Unless you catch a good sale their prices are like new prices. One shirt still had a store tag on it that was cheaper than their price.

I will begin by saying that if you take the time to look through the store you can find a few very good deals. However, many clothes are priced as if never used. I found I can often get similar or the same clothes for the same price at Walmart and other stores.Of particular note. I would NOT bring your clothing in for trade/sell you less you still have tags on them or they are professionally dry cleaned. I brought in over 100 garments, I spent hours washing the clothes, separating them by size, and ensuring all pairs were together. I left the clothing with them for a few hours to sort through, when I returned they offered me a few dollars for 5 item of the 100+.They said the clothing was mostly stained. I know this is not the case as a whole bag that was returned had new clothing my baby did not wear, another bag had clothing friends bought from the same store which were not worn due to size. When I got home I realized most the clothes were still arranged exactly how I had them and had not been looked at.It takes me 30 mins to drive to the store. I found it very disrespectful to not even review the garments.

Drop stuff off at 12 and they tell me 3:30 it would be ready. Show up at 3:30 they tell me itll be ready at 4:30. Waste of my time next time Ill just give the stuff away. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

Called and asked how many items I could bring and was told two totes. Very selectively packed my two totes and drove from 45 minutes away. Showed up and was told they were especially busy I would only be allowed one tote. Every single time I go to this store there’s an issue. I will not be back.

The Elizebethtown Once Upon a Child is a clean orderly store. I was able to find what I needed. The bathroom was wonderfully clean. And surprisingly the employees were all quite nice. Once upon a child employees are generally terrible at customer service. Why did I leave only 2 stars you say? Because the employee that helped me with my order was completely incompetent and couldnt do even simple math. I discovered too late that my customer card was full so I should have gotten 20% off my order. I asked them to redo the order, and they were very reluctant. I insisted, so they tried. She first did a return of all the non-sale items that equaled $85. Then she rang them up again and took the 20% off and I ended up owing $3.85 yet. She apologized and said she cant do it. I left feeling mystified that a business can even be run with such incredible incompetence behind the counter.

I love once upon a child but when I went to this location I was super upset. I bought 5 pairs of jeans from them in the summer and since it never got cool quick my daughter outgrew them before even getting to wear them so I took those with a few other items to sell and they refused to buy back the pants that I had bought from them and never had any use out of. That in my opinion is unacceptable.

My buying experience with them has been ok and a lot of times below par, and my selling experience was awful. They hardly bought any of my definitely gently used items and then when they finally told me they didnt want items brought in a certain way, and I complied, they still didnt buy some LIKE NEW ITEMS and when I pushed for an answer about the whole amount of items they just gave the blanket answer of staining pilling etc) there was no staining or pilling in the items I speak of, and I was looking through their boys pajamas and there was a large poop stain and lots of very worn pilled clothes, but they had pop culture characters on them so I guess that takes presidence over quality.

Love this store. Very kind employees, good quality clothing at decent prices. Some a little high compared to store discounts, depends on what your looking for. Very organized.

They totally ripped me off. I sold them a very nice bassinet for $14 and they turned around and sold it for $45! They couldnt have given me at least $20? They are supposed to be an affordable baby item store! I think they are a complete scam! They also love to take their time and chit chat the entire time they have a line full of customers! Over priced merchandise and not any good deals. Save your time and effort, and go elsewhere.In response to the owners reply-Yes I understand that I could have said no to the deal but the store is an hour drive from my house. I would have rather taken $14 then to have to take it apart, and put it back in the car and all the way back home. I think I was most definitely ripped off. Also its not one you have in store atm. This one was in excellent condition and had only been used maybe 5 times. You posted it on your Facebook page for $45. Thats how I know I got completely scammed. The whole idea of your company is to help people find affordable baby items because we all know they are very expensive. You all sell used items for the same or more as brand new items found at Walmart!

I liked their selection of clothes and was happy to see that I could find uniforms for my toddler because she goes to a private school, but I also brought in a bag of clothes to sell and they didnt even want half of them. They said it was because of stains or fading. Most of the clothes were basically new that I had bought from target only a couple months ago and my infant grew out of after wearing twice. I was a bit annoyed.

If I could leave zero I would. Ive done business here multiple times and every single member of staff Ive come across is RUDE AS ALL GET OUT. I tried to buy an activity bouncer, went to pay with a prepaid card without my name on it (figured you wouldnt need a drivers license for that kinda like paying cash cuz I lost my drivers license earlier) and the woman wouldnt let me purchase it due to lack of drivers license. Wouldnt explain to me why she wouldnt either not to mention I wasnt greeted, I was never asked if I needed help with said activity bouncer and once brought up to the counter the employee was NO assistance. Sticker with price and bar code was on it so instead of bring an employee who cares about a customer I had to attempt to put the bouncer up on the counter for her to say I just needed the numbers I will NEVER go back and quite honestly never recommend this location to anyone I know.

This place is literally terrible. I brought in a stroller and they took forever to even find an “expiration date” on the stroller then told me they can’t take anything from before 2013. News flash, strollers don’t have expiration dates. 😂

This place isnt easy to sell to. Ive brought in numerous clothing that my son never wore or barely wore and they are too loved. This place sells things that are in worse condition than things I have brought in. The people who work here arent very friendly and tend to have an annoyed look on their face. You can find some things though, I guess.

I havent sold here, but I do buy here. The prices are good. In fact, I plan to go back for a pair of new Gymboree boots I saw for $8.50.

They dont take the time to go through everything then say it doesnt have all of the pieces to outfits an stained items some items were brand new so they couldnt have looked though the stuff

Bring in some clothes and other thinks. I was told that things that my son never wore was stained and to old. They wanted one pair of shoes and only payed me 65 cents. Also buy a toy for my son while there when i took it home and put batteries in it did not work. Thats the second time that this is happening. On top of everything when they explained to me how rhe selling works she just raddeled it of while i was filling out the paperwork i did not understand most of it. But she made sure i understood that i HAVE TO pick it back up that day. Sorry but thats bad customer service and i will not be back.i also will tell my friends and family.
