Love this market, great selection of items, especially well stocked for Indian, Latin and middle eastern spices, canned and dry goods. Order tacos at the truck in the parking lot and do your shopping while they make your order. Quick and easy!

First time in the store, as I was looking for a specific item, two employees at two different times asked to help me, and both were great! One of the guys even asked to supply the item for me in a weeks time. I was very pleased with the customer service!

They need to get a variety of vegetables before I start going there as a first choice. I like some of their ethnic sections but, they need to offer H&H 🙄 more often than not, they dont have it!😐

This market is a one stop place for me after work so I can get what I need for cooking my platillos favoritos (Favorite Dishes) and desert (Flan) yes!! 😃To me, their butchery is one of best in the area and is managed separately from the market. The customer service is fantastic and their meets are really fresh as well as their quesos (Cheeses) of course.The market itself has nice and friendly service. They have a nice variety of groceries for you to choose from. They have everything you might need. From candy and cookies to cereals and bread and from a produce isle to a wine isle, yes, its also a liquor store, no, I dont drink 😁.Their prices are of course higher than the big supermarkets but considering how close they are to me and the convenience? Well, It pays itself off.Overall, it is a nice place close to home to go get what I need or forgot to get at the big supermarkets when cooking or grilling your favorite carne asada 😃👍

This store is great!! A lot of the junky reviews are from when the place had the previous owners and I did agree with the bad reviews back then. But now it’s such a convenient place. The store surprisingly has a big selection of items and produce that I always need for cooking and they’re usually way cheaper than Raleys/Safeway or luckys. I usually always go here to buy my meats also. Best place in the area for marinated carne asada and chicken.

At that place you can find everything the new owner is my husband friend, and that I know if you are looking for something, and you don’t found it? you can go and talk with the owner and he will order for you and then when you back again you get your stuff, and he gets a new client. Smart this guy !!!!? About meat all is fresh; also they cut the meat for you at the moment. Is a good place the important thing is The time you can expand at this place.; after you get your stuff you need max 3 to 5 min to pay.

Beautiful old school Bodega style supermarket, run by a nice Middle Eastern family, with a Latino butcher shop with those cuts you dont find at most supermarkets.Picana, Arrachera, and marinated Pollo sin hueso, all here. Also discovered they carry salsa La Callita made by El Marisquero De Guasave, Sinaloa. Great stuff is here!

The best goods ever

If you are looking for a down-home Community grocery store this is a important place. They also have a newly customized butcher shop where you can ask for specific cuts of meat and have them cut in the fashion you like. The store has recently upgraded and carries a lot more alcohol than they used to.Not really sure how I feel about that but it is what it is. Everything else is still the same good quality that it has been for many years with a lot of organic options.

This is the best spot for fresh meat. The butchers are super cool and helpful. They have occasional meat specials that are sales. The guy that runs the market is always nice. It’s a comforting spot to run out to in the clutch.

A great local resource. They have an awesome meat department. The choices on the shelves are a little different then normal grocery stores. You have to go here to see for yourself.

Dirty store that has garbage piled high on the side of the building that makes my neighborhood look terrible and had a confrontation where I was threatened with violence when I brought back a bag of salad that was several days past its date and simply tried to point out that their salad was out of date. I didnt want a refund or a replacement (everything was out of date) just wanted to inform them. The store manager did apologize for his employees bad behavior and the employee also apologized a week later but left a impression of didnt really give a $#@+. Loved this place when it first opened.

Local grocery. Only one in El Sobrante. Went there middle of day They were closed. Apparently for day without an immigrant.... looks like Ill take my American dollars somewhere else. Your either here to serve the entire community or your not. I guess you long time loyal clients just are not as important.

This market is ok for a quick stop to get something quickly. I would not recommend the meat here. The amount of flies in the meat department is pretty nasty. The meat does not look very fresh.

This place is super dirty, it smells like old produce and rotting meat as soon as you walk in the door. I have had to throw out things I bought here more than once because they are off. Not sure how they stay in business, I would highly recommend going somewhere cleaner and that takes more pride in the product they sell.

I mainly shop at Raleys, but for specialty Mexican food this is great store, reasonable prices, the meat department is the best in town.My favorites are the ranch style bacon, tri-tip, whole chickens and prepared Carne asada. They have assortments of chips, salsa, polsola, Menundo soups, tortillas, overall good produce, and the cashiers are always friendly and helpful.Plus the food truck outside is really good, and priced fairly.

Outstanding meat deparent, all organic and reasonably priced food. Good wine selection and they also sell interesting coffee brand - Best Moccha varietal I tried in a long time.

I hope the real owner of Central Foods sees this. ( Mr. Sandhu, or Jesus) I was a LOYAL customer for years. In fact were such good customers, that even though they had a no check policy, they would take my checks, because we never bounced a single one. I need to tell you, that your new staff is Rude, mainly the short, long haired, older Latino lady. This is what happened: I was in line, unloaded my stuff on the belt, and waiting my turn, looking at Candy, and when it was my turn in line, The older, long haired Latino Lady slammed down a closed sign in front of my food! She never said she was closed. She never said, your my last customer, please put this sign behind you like most Supermarkets do. Its not like she didnt see me in line, and I was chatting with the gentlemen in front of me. I was shocked because Central has NEVER treated us like that. EVER. I am still in shock... So, she slams down her sign as she told me to go to the next line! I said Really? I have been waiting in line? She smiled and said, you go to that line, and left me standing at the register. SO, I gathered my things, and had to wait in line a SECOND time with my groceries in my arms, for another 5 minutes. We have spent Thousands and Thousands of dollars there over the years. Im pretty sure we spent enough money down there over the years, to put two kids through college. I dont think they realize, her being that rude to me, made ALL 8 of US in this house shop somewhere else now. And we spend $$$$ at Central. I will go to Pinole to shop and Central is literally 2 minutes from me. That is how rude she was. Central is NOT the store it was 6 months ago. Your staff are tanking your business, they are rude, slow, and NEVER smile. Thier customer service is deplorable. Word of mouth is everything in this small town...big mistake.
