I called this place several times. I needed work down on a few cars of mines... The lady always say someone is going to call me back and never did. I needed shocks installed, transmission work, fuel injectors and tires installed in different vehicles. I ended up going to another place that quote me over the phone and called me back when they say they would... I am never referring this place to no one..

Recently, I had my first experience at el Sobrante town garage. My check engine light came on and I brought it in to see what code came up. Jose informed me that he wanted to check the code, clear it and go for a drive just to see if that would take care of the issue.He let me know that if the code were to pop back up during our drive that we knew the car had an actual issue and that the code didn’t pop up accidentally due to the sensitivity of the engines computer. I know absolutely nothing about cars so this was all very informative :)We went for a drive to see if the code popped back up and it remained cleared for that day. Jose said that if the check engine light popped back up to bring it in and we would go from there to try and single out the issue. A day or so later the check engine light came back on and I brought it in. From there Armando kept in constant communication with me to inform me of their processes and where they were at with fixing my car.They had my car back to me in 2 days :) Armando walked me through the costs and other potential issues that I might want to consider fixing for safety’s sake and their costs were totally affordable. Armando’s communication was professional, informative and super friendly at all times.On a personal note it means a lot to a woman that she knows that she can take her car into a mechanic and know that she’s not getting screwed on the price or recommended services. I’ve been looking for a solid mechanic since I moved to the bay almost 4 years ago and I’m so glad that I finally found one :) One thing I know for sure is that I will be back and no matter where I move to these guys will definitely have my business for years to come.

Horrible service ... spent 750$ for my brakes and another thing.. they lied and said they put new brakes on. Come to find out they didn’t do anything they said they did now I’m having to pay for another place to do it right. A bunch of con artists and liars.

This place is great. Price to fix your car is great. I had several service lights on. Toyota wanted to charge me 200 just to check out the lights. El Sobrante checked out all the lights and fixed the problem for less than Toyota. Who wanted 200 just to check out the lights. El Sobrante charged me 108!!!

Very disappointed. I made a appointment with Armando. I called & stated what issues my car had,valve cover gasket oil leak, sensor light going on & off 3 different indicators & slow tire leak. After the inspection of One hr. & WAS TOLD EXACTLY WHAT I ALREADY KNEW & if i wanted ANY work done i had to bring it back. I WAS CHARGED over $100. A waste of $$ .NO Mechanical Work to car .NICE courteous PEOPLE BUT, THAT DIDNT HELP MY ISSUE .

I had to make a small fix for fixing up my license plate that was a little of its place.I just randomly stopped outside their garage and asked for some help, he turned out to be the owner mark.Spent ten mins doing it and then got it perfect the way it should have been.On asking him how much he said nothing its pretty small work to even invoice it.I would surely visit them if i have big work to be done as well.Thumbs up Mark !!!

I was lucky to discover this garage after hitting road debris on I-80 that completely eviscerated my car front to back. AAA towed me to this garage (I live near Sacramento). They were able to rebuild my exhaust system, fix the dings, work with my insurance company, and get me back in my car with new parts. Their garage is pristine and their people are friendly. Judging by the interactions I saw between them and their regular customers, Id say they are seen as reliable and a resource (my repair came with a 2 year warranty on the work). Mark, the owner, clearly takes pride in his work. If youre in the area (or road debris brings you by), check them out!

Cant officially say whether theyre good or not. I asked about getting my car fixed but they told me they wouldnt be able to get to it until a day or two, and how much it would cost. I came here after going to another place that told me to bring my car in, and then after getting there, they told me they could no longer look at it. Good thing on both counts, because I went home and we fixed the car for a lot less than either place quoted me.
