This is my go to store for all my guitar needs. I actually make the drive weekly from Las Cruces because the selection, prices and customer service is top notch. These guys are all extremely knowledgeable and know how to properly assist their guest. Definitely the best in town, hands down. I guarantee if youre a regular of the guys next door and havent been here yet, youll be blown away. No question!

Bought a drumset after not finding anything of value next door at GC. Hero Music has great stock and most importantly is actually helpful when asking them questions about their products.

Man o Man, let me tell you about a great local music store that needs a bit more exposure. Great service, great atmosphere and well stocked of whats needed. Unlike the clown show big box retailer next door, this place is a must for musicians. Support Local!

Friendly Staff, they gave me great recommendations for my guitar upgrades, and even samples to listen to the very first time I came. They had the pickups I wanted in 7 string, so that was cool. They carry a lot of things I would normally have to order, so its nice they have it on hand. They also take really good care of their guitars. Theyre not all dirty or smudged up. Overall great spot, definitely going back.

My husband & I were in Hero yesterday & we had a delightful experience. The man working was so helpful, knowledgeable & encouraging. I havent played my guitar in about 10 years. He helped me pick out better strings to make it less painful. I played today for about 30 minutes and it was so much easier on my fingers than my old strings. We will definitely be back!! The inventory is amazing!

I was recommended this place by a co-worker. So I went in to feel the staff out and see if they were indeed knowlegdeable. I waited my turn to discuss refretting and some ideas on perhaps upgrading to some locking tuners for my blonde 76 Fender Strat. I really didnt want to redrill the holes since the current tuners have screws on an angle on the corners, across from each other (I know this sounds confusing, but I wanted something that would allow me to upgrade without drilling new holes....Im just funny that way). Any way to make a long story short, the young man I tried to discuss this with, would just say to bring it in and he would look at it. The whole time he couldnt stop what he was doing to pay me the attention I was looking for. I know he needs to see my instrument, and he had work to do, but I got the answer I looking for by investigating this place. I WILL NOT visit this place ever again, nor will I recommend it to any of my musician pals.....sorry Hero. Bad PR.

A nice and accommodating owner. As a Korg representative, it would be nice to see a larger layout and demonstration area for the keyboard instruments. Though I know its very tough on the days of e-commerce, the business should be moved into a larger space.

Im just getting into playing guitar at an older age so I wanted to go and talk to someone about what I was looking for and go from there. There was one gentlemen working the counter and he was knowledgeable and took his time explaining everything to me. I bought a squire package deal and he unboxed everything, set up the guitar, and explained the basics to me. Even offered for me to come back in whenever and they would help me out with anything I needed. The business actually cares about the customer which is harder to find these days.

I needed a mixer, wanted to shop local, so I tried this place. When i plugged it into my speakers, the volume was too low. When I came back to return it, they said there was a no return policy. I said I was never informed about the policy, and he said it was printed on my receipt. I went home and emailed the owner. He said to bring it back so he could check it, so I went all the way back, he plugged it into his speaker, and it worked and that I was doing it wrong. I told him it wasnt working on my speaker, and he said well it works, so you cant return it. At the same time another man was in the store buying a cable and specifically asked if he could return it, the guy said yes. I asked why I couldnt return mine, and he didnt answer me. I tried to warn the customer that he wouldnt be able to return it, and the owner says to me, hes just ignoring you. They refused let me return the mixer.

This place is to good to be true. There is no BS here. Excellent service the guys working here know everything you need to know about the gear you need. They will not misguide you to purchase something that you dont need, instead they will walk you through to what will work for you 100%. Awesome spot to get repairs and buy guitars, basses, amps and more!

Went in expecting to put a bass on lay-away, but the owner was so helpful. I told him the tone and sound I was looking for and he kept handing me basses in my price range until I finally settled on an amazing bass. Walked out with it and nothing but compliments about my tone. Great store!!

A smaller music shop but they dont lack in inventory, prices are easily the best in town too. Customer service is also great, the gentleman working here are knowledgeable and friendly. They even have occasional signings when big bands come to town (Megadeth, Lamb of God, Slayer, Anthrax, etc.)

Great customer service, great environment, I brought my guitar to get some pickups installed and the next day it was ready. I called guitar center before to see how long it would take them and they told me the soonest they could have it done was a week later plus they told me I was going to need additional hardware (extra tone/push pull knob ) even though my guitar was already set up with one. I will definitely keep coming here for all my musical needs.

Had went to guitar center next door and they tried ripping me off on a clearance sale of some knock off guitar, went next door to hero music and got a great deal on a new Jackson guitar, now I only shop there. Even if I go to guitar center to try stuff Ill go next door the them and buy, plus music hero is cheaper and the guy knows what he is talking about. Nothing but good things to say for this place.

Warning!!! Called for pricing on Violins the guy HOPEFULLY not the owner was very put out he had to answer my questions on violins. He said they have Glen Burton violins. Glen Burton makes Guitars!! What a moron! He was going to go check but then came on phone and said that name. If you want an over priced Violin, made out of plywood chances are thats what your buying. If you dont see a label you know for sure that its a plywood violin! Walmart sells cheap Violins for the right pice aleast! Discracful they are banking on people not knowing anything on what their purchasing!!

Terrible service, the person in charge there, could not change a bass that they sold themselves, which had left the store broke and they were not responsible. Its a garbage place, they dont have people who can take good care of you.
