We went to the Ysleta Mission today and there was an amazing gift ship attached. From the moment I stepped in the little gift shop, I felt welcomed and appreciated. The ladies who work here are so nice! They were extremely patient as I asked questions about the religious relics and knick knacks. I ended up buying a couple of religious charms of saints for my mother-in-law who just lost a dear nephew. Highly recommend this little shop for local handmade gifts, theyre also super inexpensive! π
Beautiful old style building for a very nice selection gift for yourself or others. This is a gift shop for the spiritual minded. Staff is helpful and will guided you in finding your gift at your request. Most of the items are handcrafted by local artists.
What a delightful experience upon visiting our first historic mission in the El Paso area!!! The chapel was locked which surprised Irma, the gift shop attendant. She promptly made phone calls and secured permission from Father of this parish to let us in the back way. She was so knowledgeable, helpful and gracious. There is much to learn here and a lovely gift shop stocked with genuine artwork and jewelry all made in Mexico. In short, GO!!!
Love all my purchases from this awesome place. They are accommodating and super helpful and go the extra mile to do right for their customers. Ive ordered several times and cant tell you how much I love all the goodies Ive bought. Totally recommend them.
A nice selection of unique items featuring local artists and reflective of traditional faith and culture. Michelle was so friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to help us and another family obtain e-tickets for Mass (free but required for COVID restrictions). She also had suggestions of other places to visit as we traveled through the area.
Interesting place to go! It is the oldest building in Texas and is one of the two most active missions in the US.
The Ysleta Mission Gift Shop is very authentic and highlights regional Catholic culture (Native American, Spanish, Mexican). You can purchase local Tigua Indian pottery, local and regional art, beautiful statues, rosaries, Christmas ornaments, etc. My family was extremely pleased and we are planning to return before Christmas. More importantly, I feel it is important to support local El Paso businesses especially during this pandemic. I highly recommend this shop.
Great shop. I love it!
The gift shop is a delightful little store with fantastic customer service! I was warmly welcomed and assisted by Irma who carefully wrapped my purchased trinkets.I was delighted with the experience and happy they also have an online website to make purchases, as well.
Love this place
Excellent locally made artisan originals
I found several nice items during my first trip to visit the mission. I was able to purchase both handmade and manufactured items.
If you stop by and visit the mission (which is amazing) I would strongly suggest that you pay a visit to the gift shop. You will have the opportunity to see a lot of hand crafted items.
