This location is popular. Almost every parking spot is occupied but there is always a place to park. All of the businesses are in really close walking distance from your parking spot. Very convenient!

I got kicked out of Harvest Ranch though I did nothing wrong. Even though I bought food, and had the receipt, I was accused of stealing that food, and harassing staff that I had never spoken to. Heartbreaking, because no matter what I did, I was guilty. I cant even describe how bad I feel right now. How much shame, embarrassment, disgust. Im horrified that I could be terrorized by Harvest Ranch employees, who even followed me outside of the store, harassing me after I left, with the receipt in my hand, which they refused to acknowledge. Why??? I dont understand why??? 🥺 Doesnt anyone care?

I’ve been here multiple times and got the cut up cheese with grapes that had mold on it. I’ve had a premade salad with slimmy lettuce. The quality of the food here is not good. Although it presents to look good it is not. The workers aren’t very friendly either.

Visiting from Phoenix for a few days. Great deli, staff is super friendly. The gentleman working the weekend bbq cooks some of the best tri tip Ive ever had. A great selection of pre made food and desserts. Would never cook if we lived close to this market. Hope to see you again soon!

Amazing place to get high quality produce and deli. I walked in there to get a sandwich. I met Joe, he recommended a turkey breast and it was delicious. I was impressed of the quality of the food here. Everything is clean and organized. They also have a great selection of wine. This place is like a mini Whole Foods. Definitely coming back. I highly recommend it to everyone.

It was alright, not my favorite place though they have a few healthy snacks you cant get other places. And the Deli looks nice, couldnt get any food but it looked good. They definitely dont have a lot of common/popular drinks/snacks that youd usually find in other stores.

They have good food, but for the price, I expected more food! We ordered appetizers and they were small! My one daughter ordered chicken strips and fries and she got 3 of the tiniest chicken tenders Ive ever seen! If youre hungry, dont go here!

A little overpriced. This is an upscale market and they do have superior beef poultry and fish, their deli counter features boars head meat and cheese and they have an amazing selection of local bread and other goods. And their pasta selection is awesome.But, their produce selection is about on par with sprouts quality which it used to be so much better. Their produce prices are higher.But, this is a small store that does fill a local niche for high quality gourmet foods we might not be able to find elsewhere. Like duck or a standing rib roast, lamb and more. So ts always worth stopping in here to see what you can get the just isnt found at the big grocers or smaller ethnic markets.

This is one of my favorite specialty markets. Used to be part of Jonathan’s in San Diego county. There is fresh organic fruit and vegetable, good options at the meat counter and I always love my choices at the deli. Had a sandwich with homemade chips. Only bummer is they ran out of chips for my friends sandwich and didn’t have an alternate options to offer her bag chips or a side salad to make up for it.

Beautiful food displays. Slow service with no acknowledgement of you being there. Sandwich/salad maker had loose hair piled high above her head with it flying every wich way as she prepared her customers sandwiches. Very unappealing. We decided wed go elsewhere for lunch.

I cant afford to shop here but I do buy breakfast burritos several times a month from the deli. They make the best ones in town. Im not saying that their breakfast burritos are Mexican food, but they cant be beat. If you go early enough, the shoestring potatoes will have been freshly fried and are extremely delicious and crispy. They add the dimension that other burritos are missing. I like to have mine prepared with over medium eggs, which is something you also cant get at other places. You will get a semi-traditional red salsa which is quite sweet, and another more creamier one that I prefer. The deli employees always do a great job delivering on your preferences and are always friendly. The prices are very reasonable and the product is quite large. Once you start going here you will return often. I recommend calling in your order ahead of time to minimize wait and allow time for the food to be prepared correctly. They have double and triple meat options for multiple varieties, which off the top of my head are egg, potatoes and cheese, chorizo, steak and eggs, bacon and sausage. The fresh squeezed juice near checkout is also delicious. I believe they are available from 8am-2pm.

Love this place! Got some fresh squeezed OJ (the machine is right up front), plus mushrooms, veggies, and flank steak for dinner tonight. Awesome selection of meat, produce, and boutique grocery items (specialty marinades, artisanal hot sauces, etc). The prices are a bit high, but everything is top quality, and I dont mind splurging once in a while. They have wine, cheeses, the whole nine. Definitely worth a stop...

Their pre-made ready to eat food often looks better than it tastes. Expensive but a great place to pick up food for the occasional party..lots of high end items that you dont have to.prep

Harvest Ranch store is a fine store to shop in for some of my favorite food stuff. There are days that one of my favorites chopped barbecue ribs are not available and I wish there would be grilled salmon on Fridays.

Have to give this place a lesser rating due to poor service. We called for fresh seafood and the service counter was very helpful to get help us with what we needed, bagged and weighed them before we got there. Unfortunately we needed a little panchetta and had to visit the service deli. I stood there for a good 2 minutes before she looked up from chopping cucumbers. Then looked down again. I said, hello and what met with, did you need help with something?. I dont usually make it a habit to stand aimlessly in front front if deli meats, but this girl obviously thinks that we all waste her time. I asked her to help me and she had trouble. Didnt know the meat I was asking for, turns out it was in the case, couldnt understand what one inch meant. And when she cut a chunk that was less than half an inch and I asked for something larger, she just tossed it in the trash. Very disappointing service. They have some good products, but a couple of people who spoil the place. Since there is not much in El Cajon for quality ingredients, you may have to come here, but try to avoid it.

Large selection of specialty deli items. Great if youre putting together a nice gift basket. Prices are very high. So much so, that I only shop here for the above mentioned items. Very neat and clean. Parking stalls are a little on the small side and limited.

Little market pretty cool but parking is a pain

Do not order delivery from here, please go in if you want a hot sandwich. Tri tip and hot pastrami both tasted as if came straight out of the refrigerator and didnt even get warmed up. The cheese was not even melted so you know the supposed hot fresh meat was old and cold. 1 star is appropriate as the egg salad sandwich was decent.

I love this market. Purchased by Thanksgiving Dinner precooked it was wonderful last year. I have my order in already for this year. I love that you can order your Thanksgiving dinner hot or reheat when you get home. Everyone has been very nice to me.

The place on Jamacha is a beautiful store. I went in looking for something to eat. The problem was I have a couple food allergies to eggs and dairy. Everything I looked at did not have an ingredients list on it. And when I asked in the service deli nobody knew what was in any of food. And we’re not willing to grab a bag from the back to read ingredients off of. So for me as someone who struggles with what to eat and where to find food that is available for myself I give them a one star rating because I need to know what’s in my food otherwise I become miserable.

This may be the one off store of kind of quality youd want for yourself or loved ones. Very clean and friendly.

I lived in Rancho SD, and occasionally went to the store as it is very nice and clean, attractive, has some specialty items other stores do not have, great quality, and higher prices because of higher end products on the shelves.On this latest visit, after having moved from the area @ 5 yrs. prior, I Ordered a sandwich from the deli for the first time in years. A California one with turkey, bacon bits, avocado and sprouts. I didnt know their sandwich making went by the lb., now. The lady held-up a large handful of ingredients each time she was ready to pile it on the sandwich and asked okay?. I said sure not realizing the price was going up each time an ingredient was added. By the time it was all assembled, it was the largest sandwich I ever saw. It came to $9.99. it was delicious, but I could only eat a third of it. Sandwiches with mayo dont save for long before the bread gets soggy. (Sourdough). So I had to just throw the rest away. Next time I will be all the wiser and only get half of what I did at that visit. LolI do love this store, however. Nice people, too.

The market is a nice little upscale hometown place with a nice selection of meats, wine and vegies. From Kobe beef to lobster tail, everything is fresh and clean. A mistake was made on my bill, but was quickly corrected with no questions.

If Im looking for a specific/random product I can always find it here. No joke. They have a crazy cheese that I needed for a low carb recipe. I was also able to purchase five pounds of brisket in a moments notice. (I think I got lucky because another butcher told me it would be a two day wait but still a win for Harvest Ranch Market.) I wish I could afford to shop here exclusively. I will always come here for special our high end products ☺

Someone purchased $65 worth of product here with a fake debit card under my husbands name and our account. They didnt ID as they should have on purchased over $50. Thank God my bank recognized the fraud and called us.

Local grocery story and butcher. The butcher and meat cabinet are the real reason to shop here. When we are in San Diego, this is our go to spot for great meat for those family BBQs. Large selection of cuts and seasoned ready to grill meats.

This place is more expensive than a typical grocery store, so I dont do my actual shopping here. I go here for food that I as already prepared and ready for me to cook or for items from their deli. Sometimes I just drive through the parking lot on the weekend to smell the tritip on the grill. They need to bring back the sandwich punch cards.

I come here to purchase meats especially the steak for carne asada. So good! Occasionally, Ill buy some baked goods which are delicious. Overall, friendly staff and good quality food.
