Rand was an amazing form of customer service. She did everything she could to help make sure I got my glasses soon because they got stolen and I wasn’t able to see. She worked extremely quick and she has the highest level of respect and kindness. We need more workers like Rand in this world because I am astonished and truly satisfied with how she handles her work. Amazing job Rand!

I have done eye surgery here and a few times of checking up and other test and treatment, I can tell you that this is the place to go and depend on their results, BUT the most amazing support that I received was by Ms. Rand Alnaimy who is the Optician there. She is a great supporter! when I got the glass prescription and first to met her she advised me to wait for the better supplies of new option that also covered by my insurance. I said let me to check and see what she will do! two weeks later she called and while i am there picked my best choice, she found problems by my insurance and I called the insurance for $ times there which took more than one hour, each time she was helping a different customer and either with me in one ear or even had my phone to talk to my insurance to help!!!! finally Randa has found another way JUST to I get my best option without even Insurance to finalized!! Thank you so much Rand Alnaimy and I will definitely recommend every one to go to this optician!!

Dr. Sarjan Patel OK is a wonderful Ophthalmologist. I have been going to him for years. When I first came to him, he discovered some thing wrong with my eyes that no other eye doctor before noticed. I’m very grateful for his knowledge and care. The staff is always very professional and kind. They take good care of me and it’s rare to feel that in these days. If you are looking for an outstanding ophthalmologist, Dr. Patel is an excellent choice.
10 - Excellent!!! I was only expecting to have an eye exam. However, Dr. Patel not only correctly diagnosed my difficulty seeing, but corrected it with laser surgery in the office. I can see absolutely clearly today!!! Im thrilled!!!

I brought my son here 9 months ago and just received his glasses yesterday. They lost his records both medical and in accounting. They even asked me to bring my son in during covid bc they lost his info. They blamed the optometrist and got new workers who don’t seem to have made a difference. Tori the new manager was extremely difficult, she even butt dialed me at 7 am on a Saturday! When I went to pick up the glasses they sent me to the wrong location and said it was my fault! She also rolled her eyes and mouthed a bad word, she didn’t realize I could see her and it was very easy to read her lips since she wasn’t wearing a mask. If anyone in management doesn’t believe me, check your cameras! Also the glasses I received weren’t the correct ones, they didn’t put the protective coating, and they had the nerve to tell me I should be appreciative bc they took $20 off my order! I need to contact a lawyer and find out my right. They need to start recording their phone calls bc the workers straight out LIE!
I called in October couldnt get an appointment til early December. My glasses didnt come back til late Feburary and the best part is the prescription is wrong. They handed them to me with no case just to make it more laughable 5 MONTHS later im still glassesless... if you need your glasses anytime soon like most ppl do.. dont go to this place they could at least warn ppl of the insane wait time
Excellent experience each time with Dr. Patel and his Nurse associates. Trusted Surgeon, very kind, reminders and safety protocol are great, would highly recommend!
Dr was courteous, knowledgeaerble, and treated his patients with respect. He listened to what I had to say as well as performed his own tests. He was able to find the problem when two, yes two other doctors couldnt. And, I was scheduled for surgery before I left the office.
Never go there he takings 100 Patients a day make people waiting 2 hours with appointment

I waited a very long time for an appointment. They called me on the day of my appointment to cancel. Waste of time and unprofessional. I should get the 25 dollars they would have charged me for doing the same.
I have been coming here for the last couple of years, and my experience has always been great. Even when they are swamped with people needing to be seen the staff is able to maintain their composure with you, and make you feel like you’re the only one in the office. It’s a very nice feeling. Kudos to the staff and the training they have received, because a lot of people could really lose it in that situation. The doctors are great too, because they take the time to explain everything thoroughly to you (the patient,) so you’re at ease with your treatment plan. This is why I keep going back!!! Great job keep it up...
Very professional service from the office staff to the Doctors. Dr Patel knowledgeable, courteous and personable. Dr Dyer performed the contact lens exam and did such a thorough examination, explaining changes in my vision, types of contacts best for my eyes and took time to let me try different trial pairs of contacts before ordering. Efficient, knowledgeable and personal this West Coast Team. I will recommend this place for sure.
It was a bad experience, where I waited more than month just to schedule appointment for eye exam to get new glasses and after many calls in different days with the staff of the clinic during that just to make sure that they received the referral from my health care provider in (neighborhood clinic) because FAX number has been changed as they told me, anyway after my suffering they gave me appointment after several weeks and I confirmed that appointment by replay yes to the text message which I got it, then one day before the appointment I received call from one of the staff asked me to reschedule the appointment to the next month because the doctor is not available as well as this eye exam is out of his specialization, at the end I contacted my health care provider to refer me to another clinic
I took my son to West Coast Eye Care and the service there was excellent and everyone there is very nice. They check his eyes and understood everything that they did. Highly recommend to use them for eye care.
Not organized with appointments at all. They will makes you to wait over an hour if you have an appointment. I dont understand their system why they scheduled many people at the same time. The front desk are not friendly at all, not even welcome you in or make feel comfortable if you asked a questions about waiting they maks you feel its your problem or if you do not want to wait you can leave they dont care about you. But overall the doctors are very nice and helpful
My worst customer support experience ever... The Five-star rating is completely bogus, as another reviewer wrote.Too bad there is no option for a negative 5-star rating.My experience with Acuity Eye Group/ Retina Institute of CA is a painful reminder that bad customer support AFTER they have already charged your credit card is the most helpless feeling which affects ones health and well being in the most negative way...In the past few days I have repeatedly been waking up in the middle of the night wondering where are the contact lenses I ordered and paid for over 2 weeks ago, and I was promised to receive in 2-5 days...(unfortunately, I feel all the extra stress for not having back up lenses or glasses to drive even for emergencies or to buy food or other necessities... )I have been further worried about not even being able to return my rental car for the company to do their smog test and be able to properly register their car!As of today I have made over 35 phone calls and spent over hours and hours on the phone with the people on the call center (all sound nice but CAN NOT, make the responsible staff call back, but only to take a message and make the customer believe they care about you and your story.Furthermore, after calling the Grossmont office number of times and honestly choosing the existing customer option, I would hear a message there are 7 people ahead of you in line (for me the message always started from 7 people!!), and then after holding my turn, I would become happy when I would hear about the progress (usually different messages, like there are 4, [or 3] people ahead of you in line), then every single time the next message would be something like there is no one available to take your call and then I either get disconnected or be asked to leave a message...{Extremely frustrating....}I eventually found out and was later told, that I am only transferred to the call center if I chose the option of being a NEW CUSTOMER!Anna Vang (who is in charge of Optical Services), eventually on June 1st, responded to my numerous calls and messages (after I left a review at Google yesterday, and I am not sure it has not been because it has been a week and a half from the 1st message I left her first, and my over 35 phone calls, and requests for a response I have left with Acuity Eye Group center, and the local Grossmont office in San Diego., and says that I will receive them by 9:30 PM.Another lie...The only reason I did not earlier started ordering from another company and disputed my charges was because I did nt want to doprolong receiving my lenses to see...

Ordered Oakley sunglasses for my son and took 3 weeks to get them, I had to email/call them to see if they came in. We went to pick them up and they provided no case for $400+ order. Not representing VSP Ins. and Oakley well at all. Horrible customer service filed a case with my Ins. provider to look into why they do not provide an eye case with the order. Oakley states they always provide the zippered case to protect the glasses. My guess is they are selling the name brand cases on the side.
Dr. Patel is hands down the WORST doctor I’ve ever seen. I waited over an hour and a half to been seen and there was approximately eight people waiting in and out of the office with NO ONE wiping down the doors and chairs at the Alpine location. When I finally seen Dr. Patel, he was very rushed and didn’t listen to my concerns at all. I left with none of my medical concerns addressed. Very rude, arrogant, and not knowledgeable.
Very nice people, but I had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment time. That would be the only negative thing. The rest was great. I would recommend west coast eye Care to my friends and family. Its very nice and very clean inside. That really matters to me.

Wonderful customer care. Friendly staff. Dr Binder is the Best. He has removed one caterack and the other one goes away in a month. It will be so nice to be able to see out if both eyes gain. I would highly recommend West Coast Eye Care.
It is very busy there so there is usually a little wait. But the care i am given makes it well worth it. The staff are friendly and efficient. Dr. Patel is awesome. He has performed my cataract surgeries and lazer surgeries. I will not go to anyone else. I know i am in the best hand with him.
This review is for the optical tech Wendy. She has an unprofessional manner in treating patienst and I felt very discriminated.I have signed in my name to order glasses. She has seen 4 patients after my name was signed, their names were NOT on the list! Keep in my that there is no appointments to be seen by the optical tech, you just come in and make an oreder. I had to wait for nearly an hour! She knew that I was waiting and kept seeing other patients that came after me.When it was my turn she was not nice to me compared to the other patients. She took my measurements without sanitizing the machine which felt gross. After I chose my glasses and finalized everything with her I asked for a paper or a receipt to confirm that glasses are being ordered for me, she rudely told me that she has no time, and wont be able to give a confirmation paper even if I came later on today or next week!She already showed me a lot of signs of neglectance, how will I be sure that she will put in an order for me?
Am extremely friendly staff. The were both courteous and professional. I was seen right on time. Dr. Binder explained everything he was doing in a way easy to understand. I highly recommend going here.
The 1-star rating is based heavily on the unbelievable incompetence of this locations administrative staff. Dr. Patel is wonderful though and were this review based on his honesty and professionalism alone it would 5 stars, however it is simply impossible to overlook just how awful and borderline-negligent the office staff is regarding prescription requests as I have now waited over 4 months to hear back on a prescription that was supposedly submitted to insurance for approval and despite calling over 7 times since then and speaking to 3 different people, all of which claim they will look into it and get back immediately to this day I still have not received a single update. During my last call made to them one of the office workers claimed that they would personally re-submit the request and I would hear back within 5 days, however that was over 3 months ago and still nothing. I will have my last follow up appointment with this office and to be honest can not believe they had the nerve to call me to confirm seeing as how I NEVER RECEIVED PROPER TREATMENT FROM THEM this entire time, what do they really expect me to say when they ask how things are going now? Having this office for eye-care is a lot like NOT having vision care at all. Bottom line- if you need actual help and care avoid this place at all costs.UPDATE- After going in and letting the office know that I never heard back regarding my prescription I was told that that should not have happened and that I would leave that day with a prescription in hand. That was a lie. I was then told that someone would call me back later that day with an update no matter what, which I laughed about because that was said to me on several prior occasions and no one ever called back. Suffice to say to this day I have still not received a call regarding this problem. Truly awful.
I’ve seen Dr. Patel at three locations throughout the last three years (convenient for me). The staff is always polite, the wait is minimal; and Dr. Patel is always friendly, answers any questions and explains everything. I highly recommend.

I had a very good experience at West Coast Eye Care. I honestly didn’t know what to expect I was a bit nervous but Chris was so nice and professional she explained everything that was going to be done and made me feel at ease. I would recommend them to friends and family.
I recently had an eye infection that just wouldnt heal and was told by my primary care physician to get prescribed a heavier steroid by either an ophthalmologist or the ER. I came here because it was close and the front desk staff and optometrist assistant were beyond helpful! Very nice ladies and clean office. The doctor came in like a storm, began going through tests and whatnot without telling me anything or talking to me much. Was even being kind of rude to the assistant and it was uncomfortable for the both of us. Then I get a bill in the mail a month later for a test I wasnt aware he was grabbing samples for or running. Insurance covers most of it, thats not the issue. The issue was the lack of communication. I only teeter between 3 or 2 stars because, hey, the office itself was nice and easy to find, staff was nice, and I was in and out! It just really irks me that the doctor made a eye infection experience all the more horrendous.

Ive been to his 4 locations Fletcher Parkway the surgical center El Cajon Boulevard and National City. Ive had nothing but excellent care at all locations. Doctor S Patel is a great great doctor very personable professional caring and understanding if I ever need to see an eye doctor again it will definitely be him and the West Coast Eye Care people. They always ask for the insurance for everything dnt they have it on file they always say system was upgraded take to set an appt 10 mins over the phone ...they make you wait more than 30 mins foe exan over an hr too pick up youre glasses . the older lady doing the stuff with glasses is very slow and takes 25 mins with each patient they need someone faster....
The Dr was patient with my child who has autism. She explained each step and made him feel comfortable. She did several different exams to conclude we did not need eyeglasses at this time.
0 stars. I got an appointment for my daughter after many times trying to schedule one ! then I call back after multiple times ! They are very unprofessional and rude. When ask to talk to their supervisor they refuse to transfer the line (the supervisor has a meeting and they dont call back ) ! My daughter has a mid-cal insurance that can cover the eye test once every two years .. and still every two years they let us pay for that and still charging us every time there is an excuse that sorry our schedule is busy they gave my daughter a late appointment that I have to pay for . Its not our fault . its the scheduler fault and the supervisor that should manage that. the sorry is not enough ward to say Its our kids health and above all that the lady who answered the phone ( name start with letter (I) just like is threatening the client that I will write an email to my supervisor about the conversation instead explaining to the client that the supervisor will call back this is totally bad costumer services and they are play with people feelings and health.

This is the worse office possible. I use to see Dr. Anderson there who was the best at fitting contact lenses.However, since she left, I had to leave as well because there is no one like her.So I finally found a Dr. and made an effort back in July to have my records sent and NO ONE SENT THEM> I called again and no one SENT THEM AGAIN from West coast. The new eye Dr.s office also called and no responses or paperwork sent and now its October and I STILL TODAY October 11th have not received any of my records and my new contacts came in and they do not fit well and my records would of been of great value. I have a degenerating eye disease and Dr. Anderson worked hard to get my lenses to be where they were and now I cant get a good fit from where I am at and I cant get my damm files from WEST COAST eye care in El CAjon...!!! Its rediculous and I am so angry with this office for not helping me out or doing their job. Stay away from this office!! Terrible follow through...just terrible!!
