I could not decide between the Sport and Touring and he let me take as much time as I needed to decide. Also, the new building is very nice with free water and snacks to munch on while you wait! Would definitely recommend Mazda El Cajon to anyone considering Mazda in the future! 10/10 would recommend!
I bought a used CX-5 from this dealership about a month or two ago. Although the buying experience wasnt super smooth, Mazda of El Cajon managed to make things right in the end. They repaired some paint damage on the vehicle and I was astonished with how great it looked! They had the car for a few hours at most and were very quick. Overall, I am impressed with this dealership and appreciate them taking good care of me.

I had such a great experience purchasing my new Mazda3 hatchback here. The staff was welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable making it easy for me to decide exactly what was the best fit for my needs. They introduced me to jessica, who is the lead service advisor, and she was so helpful setting up my first oil change. I look forward to coming back for that so I can wait for my car in their BEAUTIFUL show room. To be honest I’m struggling to find any negatives about my experience (and typically I do very easily 😏). I received the worst customer service today ! Being that I had just got my car 3 months ago! My key fob went dead. I contacted TEAM MAZDA OF EL CAJON for some guidance because I was stuck in the hot sun with a NEWBORN BABY. I was then connected with the service department… who then assured me that I would be redirected to someone who can help me. There was no answer. I called 4 times the same outcome reoccurred. I notified them of my situation over and over again. They showed little too no sympathy for my situation BEING THAT I HAD A NEWBORN BABY WITH ME. It took them 2 hours to come up with no solution. This is very unacceptable on TEAM MAZDA OF EL CAJON part. So much for a team.
They are very nice cars my first one was a rotary engine on a go-kart we took the Wankel engine and we built it up it made the go-kart go very very fast it was a lot of fun we did that in the ROP class of mountain empire high School in 1972 long long time ago damn aldinger was the teacher of the class he also was a saxophone player and he played a really good saxophone
I was very interested in buying a Mazda from this dealership.. spoke to a very nice women, Desiree, ended up telling her I’d be in to test drive once my significant other came back home from deployment, which was in a week and that I would call back to schedule once he was home and we were ready to come in. Then I continued to get phone calls and text messages past 7:30pm! (From someone named Jori?) I am a firm believer that there is a such thing as appropriate “call windows”... I was a potential customer not a friend or relative that you can text super late at night..highly inappropriate and unprofessional so for this reason I have decided to take my money elsewhere.
TERRIBLE service.We were looking to purchase a new car and our search led us here. We made an appointment with Jocelyn to see the car we wanted. Jocelyn checked to make sure the car was available and then set our appointment for an hour later. When we arrived to the dealership the car was already sold and they had no other cars similar to it for us to view. It was a waste of time.Flash forward to 2 days later and Jori Quenga felt the need to text me, leave a voicemail and then call me THREE times in a row, by-passing my do-not disturb function. When I finally answered, before I could finish the sentence, “please do not call me again” she HUNG-UP on me. All to ask me why I didn’t buy a car that they didn’t have!This dealership is pushy and disrespectful. They clearly do not know how to update their systems and work as a cohesive unit. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

Price was reasonable. Was very busy though, so despite having an appointment, oil change took 2.5 hours. Was expecting faster. However, Connor at the front desk was very patient and fantasticly helpful as I tried to avoid being late for work.
Update, an agreement was reached to both the dealership and my satisfaction so I retract the previous post and have upgraded the rating, I will adjust the rating once my vehicle is returned to me from the paint shop in great condition! Literally scammers! We went to go look at a car. They quoted one price on the phone and then after the test drive (and mentioning the original price several more times), the sales guy comes back with a price that is almost $4000 more for a bunch of accessories that they preinstall and you cant remove. The next day we bought a car from a different Mazda dealer which was great and didnt try to lie about the price. They literally will tell you one price and then add on a bunch of money. Why not just share the total price in the first place? That way you dont waste peoples time.
2 reasons why I purchased my car at this dealership, Carson and Paul Thomson. Carson was my initial point of connection and he was always very responsive via SMS, he answered all my questions and Introduced me to Paul. Paul was outstanding with understanding my needs and honored his word in everything he said throughout the process. These 2 really brought value to the whole transaction, making it smooth and transparent. I highly recommend working with them.

Amazing!!Sold my Fj to carmax had an appointment with Cam but wasnt able to make that appointment. Went in the next day and he was with a customer and his business partner RYAN helped me out. He was very knowledgeable about cars in general and let me drive the 3 I was thinking about. He didnt pressure me to buy something I didnt want. He knew my price and wasnt trying to upsell me to a higher model car. With much thought and honest advice I felt right with the deal I was offered and drove away in a new Mazda CX 5. Anything he didnt know he always came back with that information and more. It was my first time getting a car on my own and I felt very comfortable with my experience. In fact I was told many good things about this dealership that I drove 25 minutes away just to deal with good people. I would definitely recommend this place to people who are looking to buy, lease or even just want more information about cars. Truly no pressure. I cant say enough about those people but most of all RYAN and CAM are definitely good people.!!!

So buyer beware. They add on a package that supposedly cant be removed from their used car inventory that costs $3,000 extra from advertised price. I will not buy from this place. On top of that during covid right now the guy was way too close and kept touching me.

They add $4000 on top of the price of every car. 1. $1000 is so they can track the car if or when they need to pick it up. missed a payment or 2? 2. $1500 is to protect the inside of the car. Just in case u spill some milk in the car 3. $1000 to protect the outside. 4. $500 was for something they couldnt even explain. On top of that to run a credit application not 1x not 2x not 3x try 4xs to only see 1 offer! -30 credit score hit was uncalled for. Lost for words! 0*

BEWARE! This dealership is posting false advertisements/false pricing in order to get customers to come visit the dealership. Then, they will slyly impose non-negotiable dealer-installed accessories. In my experience today, the actual price of the vehicle that I came to test drive ended up costing about $5,000 more than it was listed on AutoTrader for. If deception is their sales tactic, then what else can’t be trusted about the dealership?! I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a reliable vehicle.

Theyre the most expensive of all Mazda service. I was trying to do a full synthetic oil change for my Mazda5 which they are asking $120 while Mazda of Escondido doing that for $90 and they don’t compare prices.
They were extremely rude and they did my oil change and check. They didn’t put my access cover back on by my drain plugs. they refused to acknowledge stealing my cover.

The salesmen took way too long to finalize the deal (4 hours). Very high-pressured at times. Will never go back to that dealership again & never recommend dealing with them! My husband & I came away with buyers remorse after we got home. We kicked ourselves for going ahead with the deal. Very disappointed n ourselves, as well as the car itself. But were stuck! Guess well just have to deal with our mistake & move on.
Programmed my Mazda key for $72 - much better than their competitors. The customer service was great - washed my car and had plush seating in a clean lobby until it was ready. Also, they gave me the option to refuse the complimentary wash to take off early.

Went with my 25 year old daughter after getting an internet quote. Salesman persistently refused to honor the quote and outright lied about multiple things to try to pad the price of the vehicle and reduce the value of her trade in. In the end she got what she wanted but what could have been a pleasant one hour purchase became a stressful 2.5 hour slog. If youre young and female I recommend shopping elsewhere.
I made an appointment with both the dealership and the service department to look at cars to buy and to trade in my car while I waited for an oil change. Because of my schedule I specifically made an appointment well an advance so that way I wouldn’t have to wait too long. So I showed up at my scheduled time, dropped off my car at the service lot, and walked in to the dealership. I was greeted by a car salesman, who was friendly, and asked some questions. I answered them, and his responses were neutral, nothing out of the ordinary. He told me some prices of the cars he had in the lot, but supposedly, because of covid, he didn’t have the car I was looking for. We talked for about half an hour, we talked about my car’s trade in value and some other stuff, but because his offer was way too low for my trade in, I thanked him for his time and he directed me to sit in the back outside of the building to wait for my car. I went to inquire about my car and I was told it would be another hour to an hour and a half. Even though I had an appointment. I had an hour and half to spend, so even though that was a long wait, they said they got busy, so I waited. An hour later, I went to check in again, and at that point they said they were just starting to move my car into the line and that it would be another hour or so. I told them that I made an appointment, that’d I already waited an hour, and that I was only free for another half hour. They said they couldn’t do it in half an hour and that it was probably an hour before I got my car back. So I got my keys back and left. No oil change. Two hours wasted, not to mention the drive there and the drive back. No thanks. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Looked at their website, got a bit excited about their prices for used cars. I happened to just continue scrolling...all the way to the bottom. This is where they state that all preowned cars come with options pre-installed. $4000 worth of stuff the average buyer does not want or need. To me, that lost my trust, to hide this information down at the bottom each page. You can make up your own mind about this type of practice. Personally, it strips away trust between the dealer and customer. They should be upfront, or include that $4000 in the price of the vehicle. My guess is that they tell you the fair market value is $4000 higher than their price so you are getting a discount. That’s very nice of them, but not really. Tacking on pre-installed options takes away the discount! I understand needing to make money, but hiding this information is misleading to the customer.

Well organized to provide service with the pandemic in progress. Performed the maintenance on my car on time. Though I had asked them to check my tire wear to see if they should be replaced, they advised they still had many miles left to go. They could have taken advantage of me but didnt.

DO NOT TRUST THE TERMS OF YOUR DEAL!! They will say one thing (like The disposition fee only goes into affect if you only turn the car in and not renew or purchase the lease. I know when we discussed the agreement you wouldnt be held for it. I wouldnt worry. verbatim in a text to confirm what was discussed verbally when you signed the lease) and do another thing (like charge me the disposition fee, extra mileage fees, and all of the $1,500+ fees that they said I would avoid by getting the new car) JUST TO GET YOU TO BUY A NEW CAR FOR THEIR BOTTOM LINE. After back and forth, they tried to turn things around on me and say I was unclear even though I had text documentation after the fact. They even forced me to give a positive internal review in order to not be charged the remaining $280 payment they said I wouldnt have to pay when I signed. The review was the only way Id receive what was already agreed upon. If I were wealthier, I would have taken legal recourse because I do have the documentation, but its just not worth the time, upfront money, and headache. And they know this. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!
The staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. ever sinced they merged with kia and the mazda selection was minimized they have been awful to deal with. bad deals and staff. do your self a favor and go to a bigger mazda dealership that is more professional.

Daryl C. is the man to talk with. Even though Im only coming in for service he was kind enough to show me a Mazda in white that my wife was looking at. We are only 18 months into a new lease but when its time, we are coming back to speak to him & get into our sixth Mazda lease.
My little sister needed a truck immediately because hers was totaled by someone who borrowed her car. Erick was so helpful and so patient he made the process so comfortable. My sister fell in love with a truck and went home with it that night. A few days later we went back to get her back doors fixed, which she new about before buying, she also noticed that the cup holder was missing a spring and asked about getting it fixed. She was quoted a price and declined getting it fixed because she didnt really care. When we got back to pick up the truck we went back to check the doors and noticed the cup holder wasnt attached anymore so we asked for them to reattach it. Long story short, Jeremy (I believe the service manager?) said that it was broken and how about he would split the cost of the new part with her. Of course she said no because she didnt break it. He said hed get the broken piece from the back, glue it together, and pop it back in. She was upset because they knew it was broken and didnt say anything. We went to Erick and he was incredibly helpful said that the part would be fixed with no cost to her. Erick was absolutely amazing and I completely recommend him to anyone who is looking!
I was sad about my last visit. The sales agent was not helpful and very ignorant to us during the test drive. The agent gave false info about the models. A said model CX5 sport - M1872 was there right infront of us. He told that there was no such car and when we showed it, he forced us to believe that its CX5 Touring. Instead of answering questions, I was asked to check stuff online.The prices is a new deception. Online offers and the costs at the location are way apart. I would prefer to stay away than being scammed.
Theyre the most expensive of all dealerships. They were not willing to match competitors prices and werent calling me back. They dont want to sell vehicles, they want people who want to waste their money on an above priced Mazda you can get anywhere from 3 - 2k cheaper. Do yourself a favor go to Mada of Escondido. Theyre willing to work for your business.

One of the worst Experiences of purchasing a car.Like a smart person i did my research and was looking for a reasonable deal were both parties were happy. How ever Mr.Brain was not the typical Sales person. He was condescending,Lazy and Untrustworthy from the start, Was not interested in answering questions about the car and made a point of saying the car is 500 Dollars a month we dont Bargain . He left no room for Deals and we never asked until the end. The Vehicle was really nice and my Wife was set on Purchasing it. When we went to the desk and sat down we asked what kind of deals they had and he said None at the moment for this car and i asked him to check on his website and of course there was a deal and pretended like it was not big deal not to know your Own companies deals. He asked us if we were going to buy and is there anything he can do to make that happen. I told him that his Attitude was extremely unprofessional and made it impossible to trust and do business that day or at all with this Mazda Dealer. I stayed trough out the whole time because my wife was dead set on purchasing the car, how ever she it disappointing on how we were treated. If you cannot handle been a sales person and feedback or to do simple task as to get the Proper car to test drive and not complain that he has to walk all the way back to get the right key. Then you should not be Representing your community dealer. There is nothing this place can do to ever make me buy a car from them.
Ive only come for service so i cant speak for the sales staff. My service experience and been excellent. They have a comfortable waiting area that is in the showroom and they are always speedy with my cars oil change. If you have a Kia/Mazda and are in the east country I recommend this dealership.

Been looking for a used Mazda 3 for a long time but finding a used manual transmission has been a challenge with the other options wanted. Went to El Cajon Mazda looking to test drive and talked to their salesman Blaine. He made it easy and got us a great deal on a new 2016 manuel GT. Very clean experience and very personable. Would recommend this dealer. Great cars!
I bought my car here and brought it in for its first oil change. They told me engine air filter and cabin air filter needed to be replaced even though the car was only at 5,000 miles. They insisted on it and wanted to charge me an additional $70+. I got home and checked the filters....still white almost new. At least try and scam people when a new vehicle has 10,000 miles or more or after a year. Geez!

I bought a used Honda from Mazda of El Cajon. I was given 3 months 2 come and get my car fixed for any issues. I took it to an outside mechanics to get an opinion, brought my paperwork back to them they fixed everything on my list; tolerated my incompetence, and treated me with the utmost respect. The last time I came in I absolutely wasted their time and they treated me as if they were just happy to help. I cant think of a better service center, or more trustworthy people.

Service department not responsive. Car came in for a couple recalls to be completed. Upon picking up our vehicle, we noticed the license plate and frame was smashed in. Luckily no bumper damage, but the right side screw hole is stripped. The license plate was hanging from one side. Clearly there was an incident during service. Ive explained my concerns about it, but nobody is getting back to me. Its minor damage, but its wrong of them not getting back to me or taking responsibility as well as having a customer leave service with a license plate thats nearly falling off the bumper. Ive called many times. And left multiple voicemails. No response thus far. Terrible! Never again.
Like all car dealerships you have to know the price you want to pay going in, otherwise you will get taken advantage of. That said they met my price on a Mazda 3 (9/18) with a minimum of haggling and complaining. They drove me to their storage lots looking for the color I wanted. They explained every aspect of the car, how everything worked. They followed up with emails asking if I had any further questions. They sincerely wanted to make sure my new car was a pleasure.
