Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and affordable shop. They know exactly what they’re doing and are willing to help you achieve the right feel you want with your car. Went in for a cab mount chop, rear suspension tubing, and alignment for my taco. 11/10 will always use them for my truck.
Quick, careful, and painless alignment service. Told they will work on anything to stock, lifted, or lowered vehicles of all kinds.
Ive had coilovers adjusted, struts replaced, new tires amongst other things. These guys are crazy busy but still get my stuff done in less than a day typically and do great work. Only suspension place I use now.
I googled best suspension shop San Diego to get a second opinion on some suspension work I was quoted, and found SoCal Suspension at the top of the list. Nick was super knowledgeable and recommended the same lift setup that I had been researching for a while. I left feeling great about my order, and see why they are listed as the best.My install date is still a couple weeks out but Im confident its going to turn out great!Update: install was a breeze and everything came out great. Will definitely be back for all future suspension and tire work. Thanks guys!
Stop looking at reviews and book an appointment. Nick has been an absolute pleasure to work with and is completely honest with his knowledge and recommendations. The first time I brought my truck there it was because my CV axle boots had been destroyed and Nick crawled under the truck in the parking lot to confirm. After that he gave me a price that I didn’t even have to question. Dropped the truck off and it was done in a few hours.I’ve had trouble in the past finding trustworthy mechanics who take care of your vehicle and are honest about everything they are doing. I am so happy I found this shop and will be bringing my truck there for many years to come. Thank you Nick and the rest of the crew at SoCal Suspension!!
Great Shop, Good Vibes, good clean work
Took my vehicle in to get some New A/T’s. These guys had it done quick and gave me some good recommendations. They get busy real quick so make sure to do some planning ahead of time. Highly recommend this place!
Friendly, fast, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Thank you.
Short review: These guys are awesome. Great prices, great work and they will make sure you are satisfied when picking up your vehicle upon completion. I also love that this is a check your ego at the door establishment. They are down to earth, really nice and happy to take time to educate people on options and what is best for your ride.Long review: A few years back I remember walking in and chatting with Nick about a lift on my truck. I ended up going with a big box shop for the lift, but ordering some wheels through Socal Suspension. The more I learned and drove my truck, the more I realized the place that provided the lift did not serve me well by just trying to convert a sale vs. providing guidance on what was best for the health of the truck. When I got a new vehicle, I called that big box shop again and grew frustrated with trying to be sold things I didnt need and getting different answers from each person I spoke to.I remembered my positive experience with Nick at SoCal Suspensions and stopped by to chat. After just a few minutes I was kicking myself for forgetting about this place. Nick immediately answered all of the questions I had and we had a plan in place within minutes. In addition, his pricing is at least as competitive, if not more. The guys did the lift, alignment, etc. It looked incredible. When I drove it on the highway home from the shop, I noticed some vibration. I took it back and no questions asked, they rebalanced the tires and when that didnt work threw it up on the lift. They showed me that I had bent axles. Nick offered me discounted labor if I wanted to replace the axles, since the lift probably exacerbated the vibration. (Not their fault, obviously.)I had them take care of the axles today. Picked it up and the truck rides great. I would say you get what you pay for, but honestly, for how great their service and product is, you get more than what you pay for. They warranty their work and it just feels good to do business with a local shop that pumps out killer work.
I was greatly impressed with the assessment skills of the mechanic we spoke to. He got under and reviewed the condition, sourced the parts, and gave me options on degrees of repair with prices. The cost was reasonable and we scheduled the repair.
WOW, Nick and his crew NAILED IT.. 3 months ago I got a 2018 regular cab Silverado. Did a lot of research on who is the guy for suspensions, of course Nick and his crew show up on top of the list. Told him what I wanted, he recommended the wheel offset and drop I should get. I called him several times when rim shops tried to sell me a different offset. I stay with his recommendations and it is absolutely awesome.. you nailed it Nick., “GOOD LOOKING OUT “🤙🏼
Over-all, I had a great experience with SoCal Suspension. I had called around to a few places up in the North County area and didnt get a good vibe from the places I called. One person I talked to in Escondido kept on coming up with excuses and the high cost of a truck lift (too many questions). I expanded my search throughout San Diego County and came across Socal Suspension. I called these guys and spoke to Nick. In less than a minute he told me what hed do; the tires he will put on and make the truck look good. No back-and-forth discussion, just straight to the point, which I admire. I mad an appointment with Nick and took the truck down there. He ordered all the necessary parts and tires and kept the truck all day. They put 35s on my Tundra, spindles, block kit, and new bilstein shocks in the front and rear which raised the truck 3.5 inches. When I picked up my truck it looked high and tight and drove amazingly well with the new shocks. Thanks to Nick and his crew on such a stellar job!
Im excited to see what you do to my 94 f150. See you on the 15th. STOKED!!
The guys at Socal Suspension always take care of me! They know what works, they know what fits, they know all makes and models! I know Im gonna get exactly what I need or want and at a competitive price. If youre not using Socal Suspension for all your car or trucks suspension needs, youre wasting your time and money.
A+++ and highly recommended! Nick’s knowledge and customer service is top notch and very much appreciated! Thank you for installing my RC 6” lift on my F-150 FX4! Great work and honest!
These guys are very skilled and knowledgeable, i do not take my modified vehicles anywhere else.
Very helpful staff and competitive pricing.
Great customer service and I think youll be hard pressed to find a shop of his quality that can offer a more competitive price. Nick is a straight-shooter who looks out for your best interest and will only sell and install equipment that meets your needs.Brought in my Jeep to get it lifted, and to put on new tires and rims. After shopping around in various stores, including off-road warehouse amongst others, I found that Nick provided the best price and had very welcoming service. He explained everything to me...pros and cons of different tires, lifts, suspension set-ups, etc. We came up with a plan that best fit what I was looking for and to serve what Id be using my Jeep for, and fit the look I was going for. Nicks friendly service was impeccable. I couldnt be happier with the product and service he provided. Quick turnaround on the installation as well. Thanks!
Absolutely the best suspension shop in town. Eric and his crew definitely do great work. Nick does an excellent job helping you select the best equipment needed. These guys met and exceeded my expectations
These guys rock. They are very accommodating. they treat your vehicle like it was their own. They know suspension. Highly recommended
The owner here was awesome! We went in with worn out struts and he suggested where we could get reasonable parts and do it ourselves. He even gave us an adjusting tool for them! They are all rebuilt and working great. Thanks!
Ownerr Eric, is very very very disrespectful. They did not have my car finished as promised two weeks longer than promised. The work they did was ok I had to take my car to a different shop to clean up the sloppy unfinished wiring in my trunk. And they charged me top $$$$.they came highly recommend. But Im highly disappointed with So Cal Suspension.
Found the shop from word of mouth. I heard nothing but great things and since I am EXTREMELY particular with my car and everyone knows this, thats how I ended up at So Cal Suspension. I fully trust their workmanship in lifting and aligning trucks, however I was in the shop for a different reason, to get my fenders rolled in on my Lexus. They took their time and made sure it was perfect. Cant get great service and trustworthy work like this anymore but I appreciate it guys, thanks Eric and Jason..
These guys are out of this universe when it comes to service. Nick was awsome. ( He literally saved my life.) I messed up the air line to the bags and i didnt know what to do. I drove to shop early and explained what happened due to my mistake. Nick didnt take advantage of me. He was awsome and quick. His attitude was awsome. I hope he gets a fat raise.
I did a walk in to have my Nissan Frontier 2011 Pro 4X lifted. Eric was accommodating and gave me different options and explained well the pros and cons for every option. I wanted a 2-3 lift for my truck. Service was quick and I was back on the road in no time. 200+ miles later, I can say that my ride now fells better than stock suspensions. I installed 33 tires and unfortunately have to remove the front OEM mud guards to prevent rubbing (but thats not their fault). Overall, Im very much satisfied with my ride now, and Eric even requested me to be back in their shop after 500 miles for a free check up of the work done just to be sure that every thing is fine. Superb service, highly recommendable.
I was looking for a shop to provide and install some lowering springs on my Porsche Carrera, I contacted Nick he explained the process to me and gave me a good price, I dropped off my car in the morning as agreed and by 2:00pm Nick was already calling me to let me know that my car was ready. I was extremely impressed by Nick and Erics attention to detail and how they went over and above to correct some other issues that the car had that they didnt even charge for. This is a shop who completes what they say they are going to GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!
Highly recommended for all your suspension needs. Excellent customer service, excellent pricing and excellent products
A few years back my wife & I took some time to really shop for a new bottom end transit vehicle. After visiting 4 competing dealerships we ended our quest with the purchase of a Versa hatch back. I had spent a few weeks reviewing purchase options online & had settled on the Versa. I visited the other dealers to give them a chance to win us over. None did. Mosey took my Yamaha motorcycle as trade-in. No, really. They dont sell motorcycles but they til mine!Right on, a couple years later we bought a Frontier pickup. Great staff. If I buy Nissan again Ill buy it here. Travel well.
So Cal suspension does it all from brand spankin new to classic. I highly recommend you take it to the pros
I had my beamer lowered good job looks nice
Got my Dodge 2500 lifted here (6 Procomp suspension lift). Nick was great, answering all my questions & was always helpful. I brought in my tires/wheels (37) and he put them on with the lift. I love how my lift turned out and would highly recommend this shop. Thanks Socal Suspension!
They gave good advice and service.
Great installation, horrible service. my bags are perfectly installed, its just that they kept procrastinating and telling me it would be done that day, this dragged on for an additional 3 more days! they also ordered the wrong part and made me wait some more, all this would have been fine if the car wasnt my DAILY COMMUTER. These guys could have told me ahead of time, but they never called. i had to call them. pissed me off.
Great shop if your looking for any after market suspension. Got my car lowered and they did an amazing job. I was very satisfied with there work.
Awesome place. They did an 8 inch lift on my truck with 37 inch tires it came out better than I could have imagined. The price was very well as well. Its been a year since they have worked on the truck and everything is still performing to fullest functionality. I would definitely recommend them! You can see pictures of my truck that they had worked on at @victor_divello on Instagram!
My GO TO Shop....always good working with them
Awesome service and parts Appreciate you Nick...👍🤙
Great place! Very knowledgeable, reasonable prices
A+ / Tip Top. I had my little gti lowered with eibachs, they settled lower than i thought. Nick and crew took care of it, came up with a solution and sent me on my way stoked. There work was outstanding. They didnt bang up my new TSWs rims when unmounting and mounting and they took the time to make sure my lowered ride was perfect. If youre looking to dump or pump your rig, these guys are in El Cajon, right off the freeway. Worth the drive if youre in another part of the city.
After much research, I chose SoCal Suspension to install a lift kit on my 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road truck. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to lift kits and various options. The installation was completed in a timely manner and it was a very professional job. I was very pleased with their work, and I do not hesitate to recommend them for your suspension needs! Thanks SoCal Suspension.
Top notch service with the expertise to back! Eric and his team turned my 07 Silverado into and work beast that can and has handled any job Ive thrown at it!
Great work great price very friendly and easy to work with
These guys are great and knowledgeable. very reasonable prices as well.
Brought my new suspension in to get installed, which Ill say, they managed to actually do correctly from what I can tell. But, in replacing my steering rack bushings I found out, after driving for a month, that they didnt even secure one of the mounting bolts. It was just sticking out the top of the hole on the rack. Took out the new bushings to find they had clearly used ones with the wrong size inner holes for the mounting bolts, proceeded to try pounding the bolt through the hole. In doing so completely bashed the new bushing (that I had paid for) and when the bolt wouldnt go through, they just left it there. In no world should anyone ever be ok with letting someone drive off their lot with an insecure steering rack. Extremely dangerous and unprofessional. Not to mention I had to pay another shop for new (correct) bushings ($50) and the $250 in labor to take the rack apart again. Also, they remounted my carrier bearing upside down which made the driveshaft vibrate like crazy.
This review is in regards to Matt who purchased the 1971 Chevy C10. That truck was NOT a Socal Suspension built truck, we did the suspension work and chassis assembly of it, which in your entire review there was not one complaint of an issue with. The truck originally came to us as a bare chassis and cab. We did a porter built front end and linked and notched the rear among numerous other suspension related bits. Building and assembly of the motor and drivetrain were all taken care of by a drivetrain shop the customer sourced and not the work of SoCal Suspension. We are a suspension shop, not a shop that builds or installs engines/transmissions/ rearends etc. Even when asked I let customers know thats not a service we provide. The truck had a total of 30 miles on it when you purchased it, none of those miles being put on by any employee of SoCal suspension. Im sorry that the fully custom one off vehicle that you had purchased was having issues but none of that is at the fault of socal suspension as we once again did not assemble that vehicle. The quality of vehicles we build speak for itself and we take pride in all of our work
I purchased a 71 Chevy truck from SoCal Suspension. Here is what has happened since I purchased it. The truck was presented to me as a truck that was freshly built by SoCal Suspension in San Diego CA. It was supposedly a customer’s truck who decided to do something different and so SoCal bought it from him and went ahead with the build and then put it up for sale.I purchase the truck and here is what followed. The first thing that happened was that the truck was picked up by my friend Jay. He left the shop and proceeded to break down on the way to his house. The truck was overheated and ran out of gas. Then the battery was dead and it was leaking oil and fuel. We then had it taken to a shop in San Diego. There I spent close to $2,000.00 to fix several of the issues. They went through and repaired the oil leaks and transmission leaks. The motor had the rear main seal in backwards and it needed a new oil pan due to the age and bad shape of the one that was on the truck. It needed a new transmission pan due to the age and condition. Then when test-driving the truck it began making a noise in the rear end so I had them open it up. They pulled the pumpkin and muddy, oily water poured out. The rear end did not have a plug in it on the top and while the bed was off at SoCal Suspensions shop the rear end filled up with water from rain or washing or whatever else went on. This required us to disassemble the rear end finding that the gears were shearing. So, now I needed new gears and rebuild kit. During this we found that the axles were badly pitted and needed to be replaced. Also the drivers side door would not shut properly and needed lots of work to get it aligned which is still not fixed. The hood did not have a release mechanism so the hood is always stuck and there was not spring. The battery was old and need to be replaced. Brake lines were leaking and poorly installed. Now more test drives and the engine is making a strange clunking noise that my friend noticed when he drove it the first time from the SoCal Suspension shop. We removed the timing cover and discovered that the gear drive had rubbed a hole through the timing cover which now requires the gear drive to be fixed and the timing cover replaced. The truck also needed a wheel alignment because it was majorly out of alignment and the steering shaft needs to be replaced because it is the wrong one and has rubbed and ground away at other parts.Next chapter. The truck is delivered to my house. I begin to drive it. The transmission is slipping and the engine is very low on power. The speedometer does not work, the tachometer does not work, the truck has crappy wiring all through so the ignition sticks and the radio works off and on. The windows don’t roll up properly because someone installed the window kit wrong, etc. etc. Now the truck goes to the next shop. It is low on vacuum and that is why the brakes are poor, it is still leaking oil. Most of the oil is coming out of the valve covers. The carburetor choke is not wired in and the carb is made up of parts from different cards that don’t go together. We begin disassembling the motor to see what is going on. The heads don’t match and the pistons don’t even fit on one side due to the mismatch. The crank is pitted and scored. The transmission is a mess and needs a rebuild. This goes on and on. Deeper inspection and find that the block is cracked. I will now need a new engine at a minimum and transmission rebuild. Lastly is the bed of the truck that was put in by SoCal Suspension right before I purchased as part of the deal and it is rusting around all of the holes where the rivets go into the sheet metal and the paint is coming off and is pitted on the sheet metal due to not being prepped for painting properly. This has turned into a total disaster and a complete lemon. I was sold a truck that was supposed to be fresh and what I am finding is that I was sold an old piece of junk. Please email me if you would like to see pictures or want more info.
Eric will make your ride like new. Whether you are lowering, raising, or just refreshing your classic car or truck, air bag suspension, springs, swaybars, whatever, SoCal will do it right and you will leave raving about the service!
