I bought a 2011 Buick Regal for $10,000 a little over a year ago from next car and it has been a complete disaster. Approximately a month after I bought the car it quit running in the middle of driving it. The car would turn off anytime I took a sharp turn. I took it to my local mechanic in Champaign, he told me he thought it was the timing chain. I called next car and brought it in the next day. When I brought it in they agreed it was the timing chain but I over heard there mechanic say there was NO OIL IN THE CAR. Next car fixed the timing chain and gave my car back the next day running fine. My guess is they just PUT OIL IN THE ENGINE. 2 months later and it starts running hard again. I check the oil and its low 3 quarts. I bring it back to next car, they tell me there is nothing they can do and to bring it to a buick dealership. Turns out the car BURNS OIL VERY QUICK. I havent found a mechanic who can tell me the source of the problem yet. I put around 1 to 2 quarts of oil in every month. FAST FOWARD. 8 months after I bought the car THE TRANSMISSION GOES OUT and I have to buy a brand new one for $4000. A month after that I have to replace the coolant line and the knock sensor. it has literally been one thing after another for a year straight. 3 weeks is the longest I drove the car without an issue. To summarize, the owner knew that the Buick he sold me burned oil badly and sold the car anyway. I recommend looking for a vehicle elsewhere.EDIT I just got off the phone with Jessica, she claims they never knew the vehicle burned oil badly. I find this to be unbelievable, when I brought the car in to be repaired 1 month after I bought it I overheard the mechanic tell the owner that it was bone dry. The owner did not come out and tell me the engine had no oil. He said they would fix the timing chain and that was it. When I brought the car back 2 months later and it was low 3 quarts again he never brought up that he sold me a car that burned oil, he said the issue was a GM defect and I needed to bring it to a gm dealer. THE ISSUE WAS NEVER THE TIMING CHAIN OR ANY OTHER DEFECT. THE ISSUE IS AND ALWAYS WAS THE CAR BURNING OIL. When Jessica told me she would never sell a car they knew had issues I reminded her that the heat did not work on the drivers side and the heated seat did not work on the passengers side, this was never mentioned when I bought the car. SHE THEN CALLED ME A LIAR AND SAID SHE WAS GOING TO HANG UP ON ME. Every thing is 100% true and I have all receipts to prove it. There are many other places to buy a car from. Do yourself a favor and shop else where.
