Did a great job fixing our transmission. After fixing the transmission they took the time to make sure everything was working properly, and were able to work out all the bugs before sending the car back to us. TJ was very professional in his customer service. I appreciate the good work the did on our car.

I took my truck in to get the A/C checked. I knew there was a leak and I thought that AAMCO was going to be able to pin point where the leak was, instead they charged me $195 to tell me that it was a leak (which I already knew) and told me they had no definite picture where the leak was. I was under the impression that they were going to use the UV liquid in order to find that leak, instead according to my statement, they evacuate, recover and recharged it the A/C without knowing where the leak truly was. In order to know where the leak was it was essentially going to be a trial and error, replace the O-Ring and if its still leaking replace the entire line into the compressor which was going to cost me almost $500 dollars. Extremely unhappy.

We took our vehicle in to AMMCO to have our transmission repaired. We got the car back and it seems to be running smoothly. We were able to get the car into the shop and a diagnosis quickly on the car. The pick up day for our car was pushed back a few times because a couple issues with our car popped up unexpectedly; but I appreciate the job being done right and completely. They were able to arrange for financing and after hours drop off and pick up, which was helpful since it’s hard for us to get there during office hours. TJ was professional, honest, upfront, and helpful in his customer service and communication.

I own a heat and air company, and one of my service vans went out in June! Everywhere I called they were WEEKS out before a transmission project could be completed, but TJ at Aamco not only got started on it the next day, but had it done DAYS ahead of schedule! The manager, Daniel, went above and beyond!!! Our daughter is hours away at college and her blower motor went out for her ac/heat. Daniel and his guys took amazing care of her and got her back on the road with a working blower motor at amazing prices. I would 100% recommended them and will continue to use them!!!!

I went to AAMCO a few years ago to have the transmission rebuilt on the car I was driving at the time. I no longer have that car but the impression the staff made on me then is why I went back when the car Im driving now needed repairs. The current staff there is very professional and courteous and the shop is always clean. They take the time to listen to your needs and they do a good job of explaining your options to find what works best for you.They used to do only transmission related repairs but now they do so much more. I use them whenever I can when its something more complicated than a do-it-yourselfer can tackle. Its good to have a shop you can trust and feel confident when you leave that the repairs were done correctly and at an honest/fair price.

Just did not like the fact I was told several different dates on when services would be done/vehicle ready for pick up...Highly upset that my name tag from the front of my vehicle magically disappeared so unless something will be fixed under warranty I will not be returning

Aamco exceeded my expectations. I have a 1988 Grand Marquis and while 2 other shops could not fix the issues, nor tell me the main issues or have the equipment to read the codes, Aamco could do it all! TJ the manager was extremely communicative and never left me in the dark. It took them 5 days to rebuild my transmission, change heater core and radiator, along w a few other things. Not only that everything comes w a warranty and they actually double check their work before handing it off to the customer. Very impressed.

Thank you to the team at AAMCO for assisting me when my transmission went out on my Scion. They were up front about the expected cost and explained all of my options. I appreciated their willingness to work with me in a difficult situation. I will go back for their great service and total car care.

Excellent customer service and excellent work. Very honest and walked us through step by step before beginning work. They could have done far more work based on the computer reading but shared that when converters and O2 sensors are bad it can cause the transmission to also read bad. I appreciate the logical and staged approach to the repairs. I went in expecting to replace it all and didn’t have to. They won 100% of my business in the future!

Larry is great! My family and friends will only take our vehicles to Larry no matter what location he is at! We have followed him from Midwest City, to Norman and now to Edmond! Always get great customer service from him and always quick to get our vehicles in and fixed correctly! As long as Larry is at one of your facilities will send friends and family to him for all of their needs!

Great Manager. He evaluated my sons vehicle thoroughly. Drove it connected to the computer for 17 and found nothing wrong. Didn’t charge me anything and had it ready to go when I picked it up. You just do not get that kind of evaluation for no charge. Go see them. I know I will be back.

They will nickel and dime you. I would find someone you can trust. My car came back with a working transmission and multiple broken other parts.

Went in for transmission leak and TJ told me my car was under warranty which saved me a couple of thousand dollars!!He also tightened my new shocks that Firestone put in for me. My suspension joints were all loose and TJ tightened them all and most of the noises got less! Will never go to Firestone againTJ is very honest and will always do what’s good for you. You can trust them with your car for all repairs!Thanks TJ for helping me out!!

TJ and the team of mechanics were excellent! Great customer service! Honest and upfront. They inspected my transmission and checked it as okay, erasing the fault codes and also verified my need for new engine mounts - they completed that work and I had the car back in no time!

Hope I will not have to have them to do any more services on my automobile ever. I do not recommend them for helpful services to anyone. They tell you one price and when they break your car apart to work on it, they charge another price much higher than what was quoted and if you say no they charge for putting your car back together and then mess something else up to make you use them for something they messed up. I do not recommend them to anyone for repairs ever.

Todd is the best mechanic (I grew up across the street from him here here in Edmond and he is honest and conscientious about his work). TJ, the manager, is clear in explaining the work needed and he is forthright and helpful about the priority of repairs.Todd has kept my 12 year old Saturn Aura running great although, with the number of things finally wearing out on my good old car, I may have to finally let her go. Nevertheless, I will keep bringing my daughters Jeep and my next car into the Edmond AAMCO for our service and maintenance needs!

These guys are very helpful, and really friendly. I got in an accident, and hadnt had luck finding a new job for a couple of months, but still needed to find a way to pay for my car to get fixed. TJ, and the rest of the shop, were very understanding and helped me get my car repaired under a payment plan, and back on the road in under a week! The work they did was excellent and I left the shop a happy customer. I will definitely be using them again!

I had a full rebuild of my trans, as well as complete coolant system rebuild and these guys went above and beyond to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. They were nice enough, but failed to follow through on what they promised. I brought my wifes car in to have it looked at in the morning and they assured me that they would have it diagnosed that day. I heard nothing all day so finally late in the afternoon I called them and they told me they hadnt even gotten to it. I came and picked up the car and took it to a place with better service. I understand shops get busy, but they shouldnt have promised they would get it done, and it shouldnt have taken me calling late in the day to find out it wouldnt be done.

I have visited this store two times with different vehicles in the past five years. Both times I thought there might be something wrong with my transmission but they checked it out and said there was nothing wrong. I appreciate the fact that they did not sell me something I did not need. I feel like this shop makes a real effort to provide good service to its customers.

Good customer service! TJ was the manager on duty and he was very genuine in conversation. I took my 03 ford pickup to them and they were very helpful in identifying and pinpointing the three items wrong with the vehicle and fixing them timely. They always provided me with a few options ranging from what is the least I could do to fix the problem, and therefore save the most money, to what the truck really needs to keep it sustainable in the long run. They worked timely and were always honest with the time frame for when the repairs would be completed.They cleared the issues I was having and I would recommend their services.

TJ and staff always have taken care of me. Last year I had my transmission rebuilt with Aamco. Recently, I stopped by to have my shift cable replaced. They gave me a fair price, and although it took a few days I was in good hands. This service was not covered under the transmission warranty which I understand. I have had several issues with my older vehicle during the years, and plan to bring both of my vehicles back to this location and never again to Firestone.

While traveling thru OK for Thanksgiving, our friends had an issue with their SUV and these fellas got them in immediately - even on the day before Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for their compassion and professionalism! Great shop, highly recommended!!!

Just wanted an oil change. They were super busy and the manager offered a discount for me to return later for the oil change. They honored the discount when I returned. The oil change did take some time. I recommend a different location for light work like an oil change because they do handle lots of other work.

TJ at the Edmond store was nothing short of great ! I was headed out of town and was on a short time table and they jumped in to make sure it was resolved on time. I was an out of town mom traveling with daughter. They had great service, treated me well, gave me a ride to my hotel, helped me find a rental car, and delivered on time. My brother, who is also in the business, felt they had correctly diagnosed and fixed the problem with a fair price as well. Was very concerned about being a woman stuck out of town, but was very pleased with their friendliness, service, and honesty.

The guys were very knowledgeable. Also very nice. They got my pick up done in a very timely manner and even stayed late to finish. I would go back for any repairs I might need in the future

I made an appointment THREE WEEKS IN ADVANCE for 8 AM on Saturday morning. They forgot about me. I rescheduled the appointment for the following Saturday at 8 AM...When I arrived, they had double booked two 8 AM appointments -- and I got bumped. It was 2 hours before they even looked at my car. Then, they started diagnosing my simple stick shifter rattle issue, without even taking apart the stick shifter! An hour later, they told me to bring my car back so they could take apart my transmission and look for the problem (a suspected broken tooth) -- at a cost of $350 and two days without a car. That $350 would not fix the issue -- it would only diagnose the issue. I said no, and took the car home.At home, in my own garage, I fixed my own stick shifter in about 15 minutes, with a hex wrench. No more stick shifter rattle! Nothing about this experience gives me ANY confidence in AAMCO at 3750 South Kelly Avenue in Edmond, OK. BEWARE!!!

I would not recommend this company to anyone. As a business owner, my customers know up front total cost for repairs, installation of new equipment. Was given one price unless it had electronics involved. Nothing mentioned about other parts. Almost $3000, and took 10 days to fix..

Im a couple weeks late writing this, been having a lot of loooong work days lately.Those are work days Id have missed if not for the great work of the folks at this Aamco. I could go on and on, but for the sake of anybody debating on if they should go here, Im going to do bullet points.- I was 2 months past my year warranty for my transmission- Needed tc solenoid, the other solenoid that is located there with it, and a new pcm (essentially a computer)- the pcm for my truck is no longer produced, and after finding 2 dealerships (in 2 different states) that had the part, and being denied purchase of said part, they overnight ordered a better version, but charged the same price as the unavailable part, and waived shipping fee-Not convinced yet? Because my warranty had expired, but I had but very few miles on the truck, (I wont say what in particular they knocked off for me, as others may try to take advantage) they knocked almost 700 dollars off of my final total. So to say they honor their warranty is an understatement.- last, but certainly not least, When my truck was ready, I told them I wouldnt have a ride there for about 4 hours. So while they waited, they ran one last diagnostic (free) and found that the cap for my coolant resovoir was cracked and leaking. They replaced that for free too. Little things mean the world sometimes.So yes, I absolutely recommend taking your vehicle here. They also called me daily to give me the rundown of what was going on, even the first 2 days where, because they had several vehicles ahead of mine they didnt get to mine. Even those days they called to let me know, and give me an estimate of when mine would be up to bat, so to speak. That made a huge impression on me as well, I was never left wondering.5 stars all the way, quality, customer service, and they go the extra mile.Thank you to everyone there that had a hand in this, I more than appreciate it.- Nathan Samborski

Took extra care to help with your truck

Horrible experience I have been told 4 different days that my car would be done and have yet to get my car back they are literally so busy trying to squeeze more money out of me than return my car. Robert is so full of crap I can smell him from 3 miles away. If you only have one primary car then this probably isnt the best place to go seeing as they take a week to return your car. Flywheel easy job I should have it done by the end of the day turned into oh it will be done by Monday to oh Tuesday and so on and so forth, but he is sooooooo... worried about getting extra money for a torque converter that I already have a warranty on that it can be replaced to if you dont replace it I am not going to give you any warranties if you dont let me change it. My first time going to AAMCO and it will definitely be my last and I will tell anyone that will listen that this place is the worst transmission shop in OKLAHOMA

I have 4 vehicles that I have been bringing to this shop over the last 2 years and TJ has always taken care of my vehicles quickly and done right the first time. It is hard to find a shop that is honest and up front with you like the guys at this Aamco location. I strongly recommend using them for all of you vehicle needs.

My parents had their yukons transmission fixed here a couple years ago, not even 25000 miles later it died again. As Im working on pulling it to rebuild it Im finding bolts not even close to torque spec and 3 of the exhaust bolts sheared off in the motor. This job shouldnt have been needed to be redone anywhere close to this. I am sorely disappointed in this shop.

Had a transmission put in my vehicle here a year ago and had great service and was very helpful. company stands behind there warranty and treats the customer well.

Our F-150 was jumping when driving up hill while my husband was driving up hill. Since we had used another service company near our home, I called them. Since I said it might be a transmission problem, they recommended AAMCO. AAMCO made a diagnosis which was not the transmission but the quickly diagnosed the real problem for which they called us and reported evert step f the needed repairs, giving costs before repairing. I liked their quick service, friendly, polite mechanics. They gave me a ride home within the hour. Everything they did has my rating of A +++.

This place is a joke, the manager is clueless and personality of a wet mop. The e mail for the owner wont work. Place overcharges you and to beat all my car had hail damage while in their possession.

After having our transmission fixed at the Edmond location, 5 months later we started having issues with it. We called on Tuesday and set an appointment for Friday 1/25. We were informed that they were behind and would get to it when they could. They called the ne t dat and found out the issue was the ac condenser. We were giving a price of 973! Sense our transmission was under warranty we had AAMCO do the repair. The repair is a 2 hour job, I called Monday and was told thier goal was to have it ready that WEDNESDAY! I called the regional manager and he said he would push them to get done quicker. It was midday Tuesday when they called that the car was done. I went and paid for and picked up the car and saw the price for the ac condenser was $340! This seemed high so I looked online and could get one as low as $90, I called the local AutoZone and they had it for just under $180! So they charged me almost DOUBLE THE PRICE for my part!TLDR: Dont use AAMCO unless youre willing to wait DAYS for a 2 hour job and pay DOUBLE the cost for parts

I’m Chris and this is my post about AAMCO. This place is awesome!!!!!!! TJ with AMCO was extremely professional and courteous throughout the entire process of fixing my car. I own a 2011 Chevy Impala and my car started running very high RPMs when I was driving and without me pushing the accelerator. I called AMCO and immediately spoke to TJ who listened to my issue and tried to help me understand the nature of my car problem. As my issues were being diagnosed TJ walked me through what was causing my car problems and never once got rude or upset when I didn’t fully understand the terminology. He put it in terms that I could understand. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles back to AMCO if any other issues arise. Thanks to the entire AMCO team for getting me squared away.

My wife took her equinox to AAMCO based on a recommendation from a service person at CarMax since they were unable to get her car in for two weeks. CarMax recommended any Chevy certified dealer because they would honor the extended warranty we purchased. My wife told them that the alternator is the suspected problem since the battery is new. Two hours later AAMCO called and said the positive battery cable needs to be replaced and since one had corrosion and you may as well replace both - oh and you need a pressure test since your coolant is low. The cost to do all of this would be over $500. We authorized them to replace the one battery cable showing corrosion and they had to order the part too. Two days later, they replace the cable and low and behold, it didnt fix the problem. I dont believe they put it on a diagnostic computer - more on that in a minute. AAMCO then called and requested two more hours of diagnostic time and we cant get to it for a few days. I told them tab us out and we are taking it someplace else - 3 business days and $269 to replace a battery cable. We picked up the car the next day and after charging it for 30 minutes on our other car, we were able to drive it to another place. They put it on a diagnostic computer and within 3 minutes knew it was the alternator. They called CarMax and were able to get the warranty information and replace the alternator that day! We picked up her car up within a few hours. I would never recommend this AAMCO to anyone. I truly believe they saw a female drop off a car and had no intention of doing any warranty work based on the fact they apparently didnt diagnose the alternator immediately.

Love the people up here! The manager really helped me knowing I didnt have alot of money so he hooked me up. My vans been with them since monday and Im now getting her back today! Thank you guys!

To be honest I felt like they didnt have any customer service at all. TJ was very rude. Seemed like they didnt care that I had already check everything I had already tested. I had already had a compression test and it showed perfect. But they wanted me to pay for no reason. I told them I wanted the electrical tested but they said they wouldnt until they spent thousands of dollars. For no reason for them to tell me they dont know anything.

I have been bringing my car to this location for just over a year now, and every single time I drop my car off I know its in good hands! It doesnt matter what is wrong, they get it back to me in a timely matter, and always seem to go above and beyond what the root problem was and fix it!

Went to buy my wife a used car thinking it was an amazing deal. I brought it to TJ and asked him to have it inspected for any possible issues. After a thorough inspection he came back with some issues that I would not have realized until it was to late and I had major cost in repairs. Paying this company the $50 inpection saved me thousands of dollars it would have cost me had I jumped into buying the vehicle.I know if I ever buy a used car again, regardless of the miles. I am for sure bringing it to TJ for his inspection team to give me the review of what they find. Do not buy a used car without coming to see TJ and his team first.

TJ and his team are the only people that I trust with my repairs and regular maintenance. TJ always goes above and beyond to not only thoroughly inspect my vehicle (FOR FREE), but also making sure that I am back on the road as fast as possible. When my transmission went out on my Volvo XC90, I was uncertain where to take my car to be fixed properly. I called Brad, after calling a few car shops and he was professional, honest and eager to help me. They did an excellent job and no surprises! He told me what to expect and what the estimate was to fix my car. He was right on. Each time I called to check on my car he told me what was going on with my car and where they were at in the process. He even offerred me to come down and look at the parts that needed to be replaced.I highly recommend this AAMCO for transmissions. I would refer anyone there knowing full and well they take good care of their customers.

They lie!!!!!!!!!!!! I went in because of a transmission issue which turned out to be okay. However they then told me that my brakes desperately needed replacing. I promptly left since I had just installed new brakes and rotors only 5,000 miles prior to that.

This AAMCO shop is the most military friendly businesses Ive dealt with in 30 years of active duty service. We had a close friend who was hurt in a motorcycle accident in Washington state, where he almost died. One of his family vehicles was in this shop for repairs. When the manager learned of the situation. He donated the cost of the complete repairs to do his part to help this family with their out of pocket travel expenses, so that they would have one less thing to worry about during this emotionally draining and stressful situation. Thanks AAMCO for being such a help to this family and our military. You have choices where you can take your car, but I recommend that you take it AAMCO at 3750 S. Kelly Ave., Edmond, OK 73013!

After our transmission, starter and battery simultaneously went out, we were at a loss with what to do. We had the Suburban hauled to Aamco on Kelly in Edmond. The repairs were done cheaper than expected. We did have to wait our turn, which was a little longer than we had hoped, but with companies that treat the customer right, sometimes they get busy. The repairs were finished and we picked up the vehicle. There were a few strange intermittent noises that they couldnt replicate upon inspection, so we went forward just driving and trying to make note of when we heard them. It seemed all was going well when suddenly the vehicles starting mechanism was making noise when we tried to start it. I thought to myself, oh no, what now! But after taking it back to Aamco, they inspected and found that the new part they put on was somehow defective. They put on a whole new starter, and didnt charge us a dime. Since it was an issue that they had just handled they were able to not only do it free of charge, but they got us a same day turnaround. I dont give 5 stars often, but T.J. and crew earned this review with the way this ordeal was handled. Start to finish Aamco lived up to its brand polished name! Thanks!

I took my car to the shop that always works on it, they could not determine the problem, told me the dealership should be my next stop? I dropped in AAMCO at the end of the day on a Thursday, traffic was bad but within a block of our test drive the tech said I needed front end bearings. The next morning Jay called with prices, I asked if Saturday would be possible as I was traveling with my brother. I took it in at 8 AM, got a call around 11 AM, they found my water pump was starting to leak, (that was the other unknown squeal coming from my Prius with 180K on it), the belt was about to go away as well.Saturday afternoon I picked up what seemed like a new car, just wanted to say thanks for treating me the way I try to treat my customers.Keep up the good work,Paul Conrady

Please beware of this company. CVT light was on in my car so took it to this location. T.J. Told me I needed transmission oil change, CV joint replaced, front and rear brakes replaced, oil change, air filter changed and TSP ( think that is what is called) replaced. Total was over $1000. Took the car to my locale machanic. Front brakes needed replaced and CV joint. Total $200. Big difference. Nice try but you lost a customer and telling everyone.

Took my wifes 4WD SUV in for a grinding noise in one of the 4WD IWE actuators. After having the vehicle for several days they finally replaced both worn actuators, which were a symptom and not the root issue. They gave me the car back and told me to change out the IWE vacuum solenoid, which I immediately did and also didnt fix the issue. I set up an appointment to take the vehicle to AAMCO again - keep in mind Ive got to ferry kids and wife to work and school in my vehicle while hers is in the shop. After trying to get ahold of them multiple times throughout the day, at the end of the day they still hadnt even looked at it. Got the vehicle back and took it to a dealer (who provided a courtesy vehicle) and fixed the issue. Because AAMCO didnt fix the root cause, the brand new actuator they installed wore out and had to be replaced by the dealer. When I contacted AAMCO about a refund on the actuator parts and labor I was offered shop credit. Why would I bring my vehicle back to a shop that conducts business like this?

Awesome service. Came in thinking I had a transmission/ABS issue, turned out to be the battery grounding out, but they figured it out in no time and got me on my way. No scams, no bull, will definitely be back.

TJ and the team looked at my 18 year old Sport Trac truck, which was not engaginging in 3rd gear or reverse at reasonable rpms. I had recently spent money on new A/C and tires. They helped me weigh in on low side and high cost side of rebuilding or purchasing remanufactured. In the end, i said goodbye to my truck and putchased new. Although I didnt end up using their service, I would recommend them based on knowledge and frankness of options.

So we brought our 2012 Dodge truck in three wks ago for it shifting out of gear. Kept calling calling to find out the status. Finally here it is on the third week find out the said it needs a new transmission. After a couple days received a call today at (fri) at 5pm. That they built the wrong transmission! Now they need to redo the transmission and will not be done til Tues, the forth week into it.What I do not get are the people working on the vechicals not certified technicians? They inform us the cost of this is $3800+. You would think management would step in and fix this situation let alone discount the price !!

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a shop getting my vehicle worked on,. I think they get there help from the Jesus house as well as the graduates from metro tech. They never call you unless they want to charge you for something and the customer service was horriable. 171.99 for a battery and kept my car for 4-days and couldnt figure it out why the engine light was on. I got into it and there was grease all over the floor mats and also the visor. I was going to have them clean it up but didnt want them touching my wifes car again. Rather get a prostrate exame then go to that show again.
