I was here to fix an issue and they said they will do charges me and in 10 minutes I had the same issue. Came back and they said it’s a different issue and wants to charge me again.

Been going to this place for the past few years and they do an excellent job at affordable prices. If you tell them that you are on a budget they will consult how to lower repair costs and only work on what is truly needed immediately. Honest and hardworking guys

Very friendly mechanics, its owned and operated by a father and son. They take the time to explain to you even if you know nothing about cars, price is very fair and very speedy service, its so much better than pepboys. Unlike other shops that takes advantage of you, the mechanics were really taking their time to make sure the repairs are done right. I would highly recommend anyone to take their cars to this shop.

They knew exactly what parts needed to be fixed when I had problems with my car, and the price was very competitive and cheaper than places like Pepboys.The service time was quick and I got my car an hour before they estimated it, and my car was fixed to a prime condition.Would recommend anyone who has problems with their car to go here.

I never write reviews, but felt compelled to after using S&J Auto Repair Shop. In short this place is EXACTLY how all auto shops should be run. You dont just drop your car off and come back to a huge bill. Instead they put your car into the shop with you there, explain to you (AKA show you, in person) what the problem is and offer what solutions are possible to solve the problem. Any other shop in the area could have (and probably would have) only offered the $600 solution in my case. Instead my beater 2003 Corolla with 180,000 miles was in and out of the shop for under $60 with a perfect repair. The ONLY thing I will say is that you should be prepared to spend some time there as they may have other cars being worked on and need some time to get your car in and up on the lift (its a 2 man father and son operation). But you can believe me, if youre on a budget that is time WELL spent! Will be back in the future if my car or my wifes car needs any repairs. So glad that there are still some honest shops out there, few and far between these days...

I have two performance cars and suv that I take to this shop. I have been going here since they opened. These guys really take the time to diagnose your vehicle correctly. Their prices are very competitive and you can really appreciate that when other shops want to take advantage of you. I have been to local shops here in the edison, piscataway area where they want big money just for an oil change and never even checking the other fluids then leaving an oily mess in your car as well as under it. Not these guys. They are very neat and the shop floor is even clean. Cant beat that! They even take the time to point out any future issues I may need to look out for without the pressure of you gotta get this done now like most shops do. Dont just take my word for it. Go and experience it for yourself.

This place is the worst. I bought a used car here and had to decide on a scrap car a year later. Never buy a used car that you sell here. They will take out the parts of your car. And do not believe their words. If you have to repair here inevitably, it will be safe for you to visit with the experts or watch them while they are under repair.

Asked for the windshield wipers to be changed and it only lasted for 7 months. >.
