Ulta has great products ways but should try to figure a way to quickly and efficient check out their customers more quickly because the lines are always very long
Never disappointed at Ulta on Trenton. The moment I walk in they are ready to help. I dont ever feel like they are pushing product but really want to help with my concerns or help me find what I am looking for. Each associate is very knowledgeable. One of my favorite stores!❤
Ive never had problems with Ulta, but yesterday I was very disappointed. I went to Edinburg store to buy Michael Kors perfume that Ive been wearing for years. I live in mcallen so I went to that store first and didnt have the 3.4 Oz I was looking for so I had to drive to Edinburg. When I got there I grabbed the last bottle they had on the shelf and paid for it. When I got home I opened the package and thats when I noticed the name on box and bottle....it said MICHAEL KORS COLLECTION. Not once in the years Ive been wearing it has it ever said that name (COLLECTION). I called the store asked for manager and she couldnt tell me why it said that. The only thing she told me is that maybe someone returned bottle and it was put back the shelf, like really. Someone returned a FAKE bottle and your employee didnt bother checking it and why are you all putting it back on the shelf after its returned.....I just went and paid 130 dollars for a fake perfume. Today I will be going back and returning this so call original perfume.Ladies please double check your perfumes before purchasing it from these stores.
The staff is awesome, for the most part. Theres this older lady that always has a ugh, whatever expression on her face that makes one feel unwelcome or like if were being judged. She needs to be anywhere else other than the front door. If I dont feel welcomed at your store, it sure isnt the only high end makeup store in the area. Ill gladly go somewhere else.Ok, aside from stuck-up lady, the rest of the staff is incredible. On this latest visit we interacted with five other employees and all of them were friendly, attentive, and offered assistance. I really appreciate this effort. We were very under-dressed and not one of those employees treated us like outcasts.Weve purchased various perfumes and makeup products here and asked many questions regarding said products. The employees seem quite knowledgeable. There was one instance where the rep didnt know the answer to our question but swiftly called over another rep that knew the answer and was able to provide further information.All in all, we really like this store, the layout, cleanliness, and its staff. But *please* do something about that smug old lady near the front door.
Exceptional customer service! I went on Wednesday and was helped by fernanda, she recommended the Anastasia foundation and was the nicest! Will definitely be returning 👍🏻
Waited in line way to long ..As the young in front and behind me agreed. If I had not needed the items, I would have left the store. The other three ladies at the end of the registers were just talking away...not business...finally one of them started ringing up customers.
I had never been to ANY Beauty store. I went into ULTA somewhat shy and embarrassed because I knew nothing. I was assisted by a young lady that had some dream catcher tattoos on each side of her head and OMG!!! She was the sweetest, most attentive, amazing person! She made me feel so comfortable and walked me through everything I asked her. I walked out with over $120 worth of items that I decided on. At no point did she make me feel dumb or pressured to just spend my money on crazy expensive stuff. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name but she was wonderful! If you see this review, just know you really made a difference for this client and for my little girl who totally admired you!
The employees here have been nothing but disrespectful to me every time I come in....they have this arrogant and condescending attitude towards customers. Today is definitely the last time I ever step foot in this store or support this company.

I wanted to use our gift cards and have a fun shopping time with my teen daughter on Mothers day, but the staff was so rude, specially the cashier. Asked for help to 3 different staff members and they were just talking to each other Insead of trying to assist customers. I like the products of the store but what a bad bitter experience today. Not coming back to this location. Thanks for such a downer on Mothers day .
Staff is super friendly. I just dont understand their Covid restrictions. I asked for a sample of foundation (I wanted to try a new foundation before committing) but, they dont give samples because of Covid. In the fragrance department they have the coffee beans in containers with perforated lids for everyone to stick their nose on and smell. I dont understand and makes NO SENCE. This nonsense needs to stop. Stop using Covid as an excuse. I gave 3 stars because staff was very nice.
The girls there need to learn to stop talking to each other & give their divided attention to their customer. I went today & there’s a long line but it’s fine because it goes fast, but u get to the register and they’re all talking among each other about personal stuff & u ask them question and they don’t even turn around till you say “mam” & they’re always giving attitude like they don’t want you there. You need a better job that’s why you’re not happy lmao
I wanted an eyebrow pencil, however, I had no specific brand in mind. A very helpful assistant asked if I needed help. I explained what I wanted and she guided me to a brand product. Very helpful she was. Well see if the product is what I want, but time will tell on that end.

The girl who did my checkout was rude and had an attitude when i asked her about my free birthday gift, she really didnt wanna help me out and i had to figure out how to get the code by myself even after i told her i didnt understand. overall she just had an ugly attitude and i didnt feel welcomed at all. i love ulta but probably wont go back to this location.
Store was clean and employees were friendly and helpful. Appreciated everyone wearing masks and keeping safe distances. Was able to go in and out for what I needed quickly without having to wait in a long line as always.

I never go to Ulta much but I got a gift card from my bf and went a little crazy in there. A couple of days later I went in to return somethings/buy some more things lol And Celeste at the cash register was very helpful and sweet. I had a great experience and will be coming here a lot more.
Very long lines, but I guess to be expected during a holiday. I thought it was strange that the cashier couldnt take my expired coupon and place it in her trash, due to covid-19. However she picked up each of my items to scan and then take my valid coupon to redeem it. Not sure about that. However she was very very nice!

Definitely recommend this place, they always greet you with a smile, and if you cant find a certain product, theyre always there to help. 👍

What an ugly experience. We went for a hair cut and asked the hairdresser if she could mimick the hair cut on a photo for my 11 year old son. We asked if his hair lent itself for that hair style and she said yes. Well, she totally ruined my son s hair and we said we wouldnt pay for the gruesome haircut. They wouldnt let us leave unless we paid for it. Well whos going to pay for counseling my son. He loves his hair and his friends are always commenting on his great hair. The lady said she could get the manager to fix it but how can you fix the length, I said. They let us leave after we got upset. Never again. I only gave one star because I had to in order to leave a comment

As we all know COVID-19 has been difficult and I appreciate all the precautions the girls are taking especially the young lady that took my curbside order, Miriam G. She was wearing a mask and gloves and was incredibly nice and respectful. I will definitely be coming back keep up the good work !
A lady with red-ish type hair was giving me ugly looks and made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I guess she was just having a bad day, but she definitely made this experience a not so good one. Fire her! Jk lol

Hair salon manager Judy was very helpful during my visit at Ulta she helped me out choosing the correct hair product thank you.
On Wednesday, October 14, 2020, around noon I went to the Ulta Edinburg, Tx location thinking Ulta would be able to assist me in getting the right foundation, powder, and eyeshadow for me plus have the brow and hair service scheduled and done. Being that I have Celiac Disease and make up is their main product I thought Ulta would have knowledgeable and capable associates to assist me with products that did not contain gluten and the right color for what I was looking for. After I entered, I was greeted by a cashier, but no one offered to assist me for over 10 minutes. I could not tell if there were even any associates on the floor except for the cashiers at the register. I looked around for about 10 minutes then decided to look into their website which was very difficult to navigate, I could not refine my search to what I was looking for, at least not on my phone, it was at this time a young long-haired female associate approached me, and I let her know what I was looking for. I think she was new and was not able to tell me of any products that did not contain gluten and were full coverage. She asked another associate who did not know either and told her something then walked away, the associate that was assisting me said she would be back. When she returned, she asked if I knew what to look for in the ingredients and I told her I did not know all the scientific names as there were many. She proceeded to give me a small box which I assume contained foundation and asked me to read it and see if it contained gluten. I could not believe associates don’t have the capability to look into something like this and would simply just let me know they are unable to assist me but ignored that I told her and ask me to read up the ingredients. When I said I would just look elsewhere she could have cared less in not being able to assist a customer and save the sale. I cannot believe a location focused on beauty is not knowledgeable about their products but also will not simply let a customer with health issues and allergy know they cannot assist. I have had Walgreens cosmetics associate assist me with this and do their research, but I wanted to kill 2 birds with 1 stone as it is very hard for me to go out in the sun due to health issues.

A very sweet girl helped with my shopping but if you know what you want order for pickup they get priority. I was the only person in line and had to wait till they answered and helped all the people outside.
Went and did my hair. Horrible job! I spent over 200 to get it done. And my hair is orange. NEVER again will I go to this place!!!

I had recently bought a hot brush at the store in mcallen. I went home tried it and it wasnt what wanted, I looked thru the website and found a Chi 4 in 1 that sounded great, and that it showed it was at the Edinburg store. I called before going asked for the manager thinking they should know what they carry at their store or at least check for me. She told me that she didnt have it and that I could go and get something else. I arrived at the store 30 mins later no one helped me and found the chi brush I had asked about over the phone. Im sorry but I dont know what kind of manager you have that doesnt know what they have at the store or at least have taken the time to check for me.
The two times I have gone the same employee greets everyone and tries to really help with what they need ! Also cashiers are very helpful as well
I got my hair done a year ago by Raven and I loved his work. Not many stylist can work with curly hair but he did wonders. Since then, I made the huge mistake to go to other salons due to less driving time. And they did not come close to the skills and techniques he used. Needless to say, I am willing to put in the hour and half drive to go back to Raven. Lesson learned the hard way!
Did my hair at their salon. The stylist was great (have her card but not on hand). Got my highlights done thereand received lots of compliments. Love that place.
Will not be coming back to Ulta.The cashier was rude. She should not be on the register if she isnt going to do her job correctly.

I received excellent help from a lady when I needed to find my concealer color. She also let me know of the specials they had that day so it was soooo helpful! The only thing I did not like was it was hard to find accurate prices on sales. And thats a high pet peeve. I hope they improve on this. Cashier also made me feel rushed which I did not like.
This is a great store. They have great customer service. I personally do not like being bothered while I shop but they are always there when I do need help. I have never had someone ignore me or be unwilling to help.

My son went in today for a facial. We just had an amazing experience with MELISSA from the dermalogica area not only was she so knowledgeable but also had amazing customer service. Melissa went over the whole process with my son step by step very patient. I would highly recommend her to everyone if your in the area stop by ask for her you won’t regret it!
Cashier Alexandria is so rude and so disgusting to the customers. She thinks she’s better than everyone there, she doesn’t make eye contact and makes such ugly faces. Ewww
Associates are always so helpful, and the store is always neat, organized and everything is easy so find. I love that if I ever have any questions regarding shades or formulas someone is always there to help.
I dont go to this store very often but when I do everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable. Their merchandise is well displayed and easy to walk through the aisles.

Stopped by for the Anastasia sale. Putting a limit per person eliminates those that buy to resale + gives everyone a chance to buy. But for those trying to stock on for personal use its a bummer. Either way great deal

I had never set foot in any ULTA store ever, but was in desperate need of a haircut and was looking for a new place to go since my usual lady disappeared to who knows where, so I decided to give this store a try.The service was amazing!!! My hair designer Michelle (we even had a little chat about how weird it was to say our names since we have the same one) was wonderful!!! My hair is kind of terrible and she worked absolute magic on it! She was super courteous and helpful, even when i sort of blind sided her with product recommendations, which she was also great at, even going as far as telling what products to avoid for my hair type! It was like she knew my hairs whole life story and it was fantastic! She took her time and weeded out every bit of ridiculously dry hair leaving it super smooth, even with a corporate on their way to the store for an inspection! I will most definitely be going back again and booking and appointment with her!As far as i could tell, the rest of the staff around the store was great and courteous with the other customers looking for makeup and skin products. They even offered good customer service over the phone. (You get to see and hear quite a bit sitting in that chair for about an hour.) I absolutely recommend this place!
My sister went to get some highlights done at this place Sunday Oct 28. She had received a quote on pricing earlier a week prior, and decided to go in Sunday based on availability and price. As Hilda (the hairstylist) finished her hair, she was now quoting her more than she originally had told her the week before. Needless to say, Hilda did not explained the higher price until after she was finished doing the hair and would not honor the original price. When asked about this, Hilda said she has all the experience and certificates in this area (as if this makes changing price and charging more ok). The hairstylist would not come down in price and seemed to be very bitter and arrogant. My mother explained that it wasn’t about the price at all but the ethics behind charging more after the job was done. This did not phase her as my sister had to pay the higher price. Hilda has explained she could go with someone that had less experience and charged less (again showing arrogance). This is not an ethical practice at all. I believe in serving clients and customers with the utmost respect and diligence. I pride myself in customer service. Would not recommend. If you do go, make sure you get an honest upfront quote possibly in writing prior to getting service. Look for someone with integrity and good people skills as well. Should give a class in customer service and people skills.

My wife loves to shop here because she always finds sales every month on hair products, perfumes and colognes. The people here are very friendly and helpful whenever you need help finding a product.
Store is great but they never have the areas with a mirror, makeup remover and makeup rounds refilled. Also there is never employees walking around offering to help. I usually have to go to the register and ask Everytime.

I went in 30 min early to my appointment to get my hair and make up done. All I asked was my hair to have simple curls and my make up not over done. The lady that was supposed to do my hair was still not ready so the girl got started on my makeup. Wile doing that the girl was finally ready to do my hair and with no warning just started to work on it and by work on it I mean she basically pulled my hair while straightening it. I thought okay maybe she’s just gonna straighten my hair before curling. So I waiting for her to come back and nothing. So as the girl who was doing my make up who was extremely nice went to go get my lashes I decided to fix my own hair braided it to the side ask for some Bobby pins and fixed it my self! I was in a hurry to begin with so when j was done and ready to pay the lady who supposedly did my hair went back and said I need to fix the price and changed the price from $20 to $53 dollars to straighten my hair! If it weren’t for the girl who was so nice fixing my make up and me being in a hurry I would have said something! But that was beyond rediculous making me wait another 10 min to fix that! And then to tell me it’s because she was an expert and I needed to asked for someone with less experience!! I will never go back to ulta to get my hair done!!!!

I dont shop Ulta but I was out shopping with my daughter who does shop at Ulta, she needed to grab a few things and I actually liked looking around, a young lady was so helpful and kind to assist, who knows one day I may go back.

If youre going in for a specific product, its ok, unless you count the eternally long line and the only cashier answering phones while cashing you out. Everyone else seems to be avoiding people or hiding in the back. If youre going in with questions and expecting help, go somewhere else. The only really helpful person is the young lady at the Benefit Brow Bar.
I got my brows tinted there and the lady left the tint on the whole time she was doing the other brow. When she took the tint off it stained my skin in places where I didn’t even have hair. I’ve gotten tinted at the other ultra and it stains lightly but she left it on for too long. Brow girls are terrible

I always make an appointment and never get seen on time, and I get here earlyI was reassured I’d get seen on time by Michelle at the time of making my appointment and of course, I’m here waiting.....People have their own schedules UltaSo frustrating

I don’t regularly shop here in person for the same reason but today was just another bad experience, ULTA please invest some time and effort on your employees educating them on customer service.

Worst Ulta by far in our area. I stopped coming to this location and now I remember why. The customer service is terrible. The last two times Ive come to this location I have had a bad experience at checkout. Its not the slow process that bothers me. Its the fact that both times it has been my turn to pay but an issue arises with one of my products. Both times the cashier is asked by manager to start charging people at next register while I wait. This is totally fine by me of course until it starts taking too long for issue to be resolved. The cashier calls for the next customer in line to pay. I kindly tell her that Im ready to pay and not to worry about other issue and she refuses!!!! She says NO! I have to wait because someone had gone to go check on the price of something I wasnt even buying anymore! I mean, if I tell you Im ready to pay already who are you to tell me I cant? Ulta is a great store and Im sure not all employees are this incompetent but I will not come to this location again. She didnt even know about a store promotion that was going on. I had just shopped ar the location on 29th st in McAllen yesterday and everyone there was on top of their game. Thats why I wanted to shop again today. I thought it would be great to take advantage of more of their deals. Definitely stay away from this location, in my opinion. For the same problem to happen twice in a row you know it will probably happen a third time. What a waste of time. We walked out and will not ever walk back in.
I know a lot of individuals keep saying rude things about the customer service but I had nothing but a positive experience going in there. I went with my brothers to purchase a couple things for an event we have this coming weekend and my brothers were actually surprised Ulta had men grooming items. They really enjoyed the items they found for their beards. The customer service was a great experience for me, but I am a big makeup fanatic so I knew exactly what to tell them when they ask what kind of foundation I was looking for, from the type of skin I have to the problematic areas on my face. Both customer service individuals I spoke too were nothing but nice and very outgoing in talking to me and making sure I loved the product I was buying before I left. But everyones experience is different, I honestly think though this has probably been one of my better ones for me. But again I already do know a lot about makeup so it was easy for them to recommend a foundation for me with my knowledge and key things I wanted in a foundation.
