The recent closing of their local parts desk for same day pickup of parts is disappointing and makes it difficult for their customers to get broken Hobart machines up and running in a timely manner. EDIT: Their parts desk is open again. YAY!
We called this company to indicate a problem with our saw and specified the part that needed to be replaced. The individual who took our phone call neglected to take note of the part that we discussed, so the person who came to repair the saw, showed up without the necessary part. When I called to discuss this problem, I was told by the same individual who took our original phone call, Sorry, we talk to hundreds of people every day. We dont write every single thing down that they say. Thankfully, the repair person was very displeased with the service we received from the main office, so he tracked down the part we needed and drove even more out his way to get the part and repair our saw.Just because you talk to hundreds of people every day, doesnt mean they should be treated like a number. As a business owner, I give my customers the attention and respect they deserve. I expect to be given the same treatment.
