I bought a Schwinn IC3 from them, which was a brand new item that they sold. When I opened the box, there was some broken plastic pieces … I called them expressing my frustration… they offered to bring it back, and I could take the floor model so they know there would be no issues …. I was pretty happy with the outcome as it made it so I didn’t even have to assemble it …Very happy with the service .

I live in Illinois & I stop in each time I am Up North! We love everything about this location!! The store is organized, clean, staff is knowledgeable about their products, but most of all the staff is top notch. Each time I have been in the store the staff has made sure I was able to get what I needed.Well done Frank for employing such remarkable staff. I will definitely be back next time I am Up North!!

Frank’s store is the BEST! I have never had a bad experience. I always like conversing with him...he’s great to talk to. I always get a fair price when buying or selling! Bought a great umpire mask there that was recommended by Frank...awesome mask to use when umpiring varsity softball. This is a 5+ store!!! I always try to stop there when in Eau Claire!

With two kids in hockey, we spend a lot of time here. Staff is very courteous and helpful. We had an issue with a broken zipper on a new hockey bag and Frank took care of getting my son a new one. Great service.

Great place to find hockey gear needed at an affordable price. As a hockey coach, father and grandfather of players my first stop for the season. If they dont have something I need at the time they will call if something comes in. Went out of their way to help when my sons skate blade holder broke because of a factory defect. When I get asked where to go for hockey or softball gear I send them to Frank at Play It Again.

So I was in the market for a hockey stick, and chose to look around this place one night. They had both composite and wooden sticks, at varying prices. I ended up choosing a wooden $25 stick. There was one early-20s guy working the front counter, who was friendly enough. At checkout, as it was the only thing I was getting, I double-checked that I could return it if it broke. He said no, but I could get an exchange within 30 days. So I bought it. Well, around 20 days pass, and I love it. And then the heel breaks. I didnt think it was a big deal, and I went to return it. I was told that they did not do exchanges on wooden sticks, that only composite were exchangeable. The guy that I bought the stick from was not working, so I didnt get to talk to him, but asked to talk to a manager, and got the owner. He told me that it was his son who sold me the stick, and had been working there since he was a teenager, so he would never make that mistake. In doing so, he basically called me a liar. I asked him to make it right, and just exchange it, as his employee (and son) had said, but he would not. He said they couldnt possibly exchange a wooden stick, it didnt work that way. (I did have the receipt, if anyone is wondering.) I eventually left and ended up repairing it myself. At the end of the day, its $25, but I did not appreciate the way the owner spoke to me, and I will do my very best to not buy from here again.
