Great store. The selection of military surplus items is amazing!
Ive been dealing with Sarco for more than thirty years. They always deliver quality products at reasonable prices and give excellent customer service. Theyre my favorite place for gun parts and military surplus items.
Good company. They are polite and prompt in their responses. They also deliver a very good product. I definitely plan on placing more orders with them.
Sarco always has the exotic and unusual items I’m after. Excellent selection of small parts, great staff and friendly service. Bought several firearms from them in the past, and will continue to do business with them in the future. The catalog has more items than the retail store, but if you call ahead, they can have them there at the brick and mortar store for you.
I just placed my first order with Sarco and it was a very positive experience from the start. The Remington stock I ordered came just as described with no issues and at a very good price even with shipping. With a bit of free floating it will be on my .222 by tonight. Thanks Sarco !
Great customer service, I ordered a small item from them that got lost in the post office system. I contacted them, received a personal response from a real person and they took care of it. It is nice to deal with a real person in this electronic age, will use Sarco again.
Doesnt return emails, they dont want youre business.
The sarco inc gun shop doesn’t even deserve one star. Maybe - 5 stars they send the wrong products then won’t rectify the mistake and keep your money. Do not get scammed by this company.
Ive delt with these guys for years always helpful and attentive this is a real gun store not for the new gun guy that watched black hawk down . They are professional and very knowledgeable in all weapons if you are a true gun enthusiasts this is the place for you . I travel an hour to pick up my supplies from them I have places very close to me but I would rather support them !
Idk about sarcos warehouses but I do know at the gun shows the are set up pretty decent but at the store its self? That place has to be the worst gun shop I have ever walked into. The place is full of dull lit empty shelves and lots of other expensive firearms. I would say this is a place to check out if you needed parts for things but expect them to be sold out of everything you are looking for and when asking for said things you will be told to call the warehouses for parts which btw they never answer the phones there or atleast not once when I have called. If you are thinking of checking these guys out do yourself a favor and just dont. You will have better luck ordering stuff online or elsewhere. To your response you say your wearhouses have all these goodies then why wouldnt you stock your retail store with them? Further with having 4 guys standing around and almost nothing labeled or labeled correctly it might be a better idea to have them clean stuff up and do that now Im not telling you how to run your business but just an idea also I was told at a gun show you guys had said items in stock and plenty of then to hear you havnt had it in stock for a while now?...... disappointing....I will be looking for a bren barrel from you guys and still plan to order stuff here and there but I wont bother with making a trip to the retail store as its just a waste of time. Thank you for your response!
Absolutely terrible customer service. You can call and be polite but the people here will be nothing but rude to you and do whatever they can to get you off the phone. I ordered a kit gun to make a 1903 Springfield in November, by march its still not shipped. Sent an email asking when it would be shipped, it took them over a week to respond. Customer service constantly lying saying that its waiting to be packed as they are super busy, meanwhile I ordered separate items weeks later that were shipped in a non timely manner but still shipped. The absolute worst kind of people work here, I predict they will be out of business soon.
I recieved exactly what I ordered meeting my expectations. This cross border order, delivery was as stated with no surprises.
They seem to get it right about half the time. Most of the good surplus stuff is long gone so much of the actual surplus they ship is worn from years of use and poor storage. Some of the repro stuff is ok but mostly of poor quality. Most of the time theyll take returns and try and make it right but you pay return shipping. Back in the 80s and 90s they had lots of Korea and Vietnam era stuff along with items coming over from former Eastern Block supplies. Those days are long gone so it must be hard for them to stay relevant.
They picked out a perfect stock for my WW2 1903 Springfield.
Guys were great. Very helpful with my purchase. Being a female, I did not feel intimidated. Very respectful and professional business. Very friendly.
Very displeased with my order. Ordered a sks barrled receiver that I was told had (lite) pitting. When I received it and looked at it its a rusted out sh@tbox that is unusable. When I reached out to them they said ( thats a fair representation of what they have) dont use these guys products are junk.
Employee we dealt with was personable, witty, knowledgeable, and answered all questions in their entirety and had some really great stories to boot. Prices are really good compared to most other establishments and they have ammunition that is either highly inflated elsewhere or simply sold out. We will be return customers going forward.
Awesome job guys! Bought 4 1911 mags! Great price, Great quality! Can’t wait for my next order!!
I ordered a barreled receiver for a Chinese SKS and it was in absolutely deplorable condition and was completely unserviceable. There was no cosmetic options available at all during the time of the purchase. Furthermore it was advertised as a serviceable component that could be used for a build kit. Upon review of the website I found no terms of costumer service in order to send back the item purchased
A failing business.. I give this place 1 more year and they’ll be closing the doors and it’s obvious why. Their showroom has half the inventory compared to what they used to have and what they do have in stock is nothing impressive. My friend tried to purchase a gun online and have them do the transfer and said they were very rude and overpriced. The staff is rude and doesn’t seem very knowledgeable with modern guns. Like I said this place will be shutting their doors soon just a matter of time I’m actually surprised they lasted this long. 2 years ago the business was booming but they took more than half the showcases and packed them away. Very pathetic selection of guns. Don’t waste your time checking this place out you will be disappointed save yourself the trip
I give the store inventory 5 stars and the emplyees 3 stars. Just when i thought the 2021 DILLIGAF award would go to Surplus City in Feasterville, i met these shmos. Come for the surplus but dont expect and service.
Got the 1903A3 resto kit With new non GI barrel and unfinished cast receiver non threaded (misinformation on these 2 parts). The rest of the kit are legit. The barrel and receiver are the most expensive junk I’ve ever bought. I think I’m done with them as a customer.
Pros:- One of the only shops in this area with reloading supplies. This alone makes it a frequent and worthwhile stop for me.- Fair powder and primer prices- Nice staff.Cons- (reloading) Bullet prices are quite steep if youre looking for training supplies. Expect prices of 20,30,40 cents and up for even 9mm plinking projectiles.- Lots of old or questionable stock: Its great to have a wide variety of items, but many of the available items are for older and less common firearms. One small example, as a S&W owner Ive noticed especially that they havent ever had magazines for the 2.0 series compact and full size guns.
Great staff. Definitely going to be going there more often. They have great WW1-WW2 stuff there including some stuff from a pre WW1 era. It’s like a candy store for people who are interested in old firearms/milsurp.
Bough gun from here only to see the information leaked and published in an online forum 3 days later, your purchases here are not secure, they are being collected and leaked to democrat operatives...you have been warned. Not safe, not secure, and they tried to blame it on pics
Fun shop - nice employees. Sadly COVID has taken its toll here and is responsible for many blank spots on the shelves. Ammo is a bit high priced but considering the situation I understand. Great place to shop online and in person!
Shipping times seem to be very slow. They note that delivery times are delayed due to the virus. The pleasant part is that they did not invoice me until the product had been shipped. Usually places take your money and later they get around to shipping. This is a nice change.
BEST PLACE FOR MILSURP PARTS AND PRICING ANYWHERE PERIOD.This review is from my experience looking for parts.. okay so out of anyyyywhere in the internet Libertytree ebay, numrich in NY these guys here have MORE items AND CHEAPER NO LIE. I have price shopped throughout ebay and libertytree for parts for my enfield and a handguard is 89 and 40 for the 2 pieces i got both part ordered just now from SARCO for under 60 bucks.. yeah i also found the trigger guard screw. So bottom line if you placed an order online and it took like 10 15 days to ship i dont care like these other bad reviews about it taking too long dude i save over 100 bucks trying to get like 6 parts with these guysi needed for my SMLE No.1 MK3 rifle
Good people!
Not a fan of this company. Ive ordered from them twice over the years and neither order was trouble free. The first time I ordered, my order was accepted and I waited and waited for it to come, but never did. Finally I checked my bank account and saw that I was refunded the money a little while ago. I assume the item was out of stock, although it showed to be in stock on their website. No email, no call, no nothing. They just canceled it without a word. The second time, I ordered a couple of WW2 marked Sten slings. The pic represented on their website showed a sling in nice condition with clear markings. What I got were two nasty, well used slings with no markings and no way to tell if they were period correct. I complained to them and they agreed to send me two more. I thought all was well, but when they came, I had two nicer condition slings, but they were Israeli marked and not WW2. At that point I cut my losses and called it good. I dont think these guys really care about accuracy. They are just trying to get whatever product out of the door. I would only buy from them again as a last result, expecting it to be a crapshoot. Avoid them if you can.
Needed a new striker for my Enfield they were the only ones who had them and they had them so cheap I bought 3. I said that if nothing went wrong with my order I would always check them first when I needed anything for guns. Now Im gonna happily eat those words because I got the stuff I needed and nothing went wrong with my order.
Dont waste your time here, pathetic service and overpriced junk, 3 hour wait
Great gun shop with excellent prices.
Best shop in pa for building and repairing guns they have everything you need and more this place has everything you need with knowledgeable staff
Keep fighting the good fight. 👊👌👍
Nice selection but do not expect any customer service. After two emails to them about cancelling an order, they never responded and still shipped anyway. They had several days to respond to me, but instead they just sent an email that they had shipped. In a day and age where stores like theirs has a shrinking market and customer base, you would think they would try to save every customer they could. Not the case with this company. I learned my lesson, I hope you can learn from mine before it is too late.
Great FAL magazines and fast shipping. Second time ordering FAL parts and both orders were very satisfying. Excellent customer service when needed. Thanks SARCO. B
I am a old timer from the old school. I have seen many thing change over the years most negatively. I found a place (SARCO) that is old school when it comes to customer service. There prices are good also. I travel a substantial distance to support this company and will continue to do so. The sales staff is awesome. No matter what is going on they give you full attention. FRANCO has been the greatest help with my endless questions about projects I am doing. If he dose not know he will find out and get back to me, (key word back to you). Something lost today. The manager an other GREAT person also. I feel they deserve you patronage. Try it you like it.
Bought a bren mk1 parts kit and it was in absolutely horrid shape half the wood on the grip was completely missing, the reciever was completely mauled, and they left the barrel in box with no protection causing parking peanuts and cosmoline to mix into a ball junk in barrel. I even get to pay for shipping to return this pile of junk that they sold to me for 700 dollars. I even called and emailed multiple employees prior to my purchase to ensure the quality of the product and was met with non answers from all of them I should have taken that at face value and not purchased from them.
Could not get someone to come to the phone and take my order. Listened to some employee jack-jawing with his buddy for twenty minutes and hung up.
This place sucks! the people who work here only care about sales and not the customers. They are rude when you ask them questions about a gun and try to belittle you with their knowledge.
This is a classic gun shop, where good old gun guys sell guns to gun enthusiasts. If you call and ask Andy and Eric can find you pretty much anything you could ever dream up. The people are fantastic and the weapons they sell are top notch. Dont be put off by the dingy dusty warehouse feel... It is largely about the people and the quality of hardware. Also. Their gun smith is fantastic.
Never heard of the company found it searching for 1911 parts, seen a good deal on a 1911 builders kit, ordered it and then did a little research and saw lots of bad reviews about shipping times and poor customer service, thought I made a mistake and would be waiting months for my parts, I ordered June 25 and my parts were here July 1, everything was there and I was very pleased, so I will definitely be ordering again in the future
I have been coming here a while and right out of the gate it became my favorite gun shop. Calm and laid back, I have only had positive experiences with the staff, who appear to genuinely like being there and are willing to help. They also have most of the hard to find random parts no other store has in the area.
I cant recommend Sarco for anyone wanting to build an AR15 from a parts kit. I bought two M16 A2 kits several years ago. Then about 2 years ago I bought 2 M4 kits. We had just moved so it took a long time to get our new house organized and I never found the time to get started on my build. Enter CoVID-19 lockdown. Built my shop. Built my bench and got started. A couple months ago I inventoried the kits and realized that one of the M4 kit did not have the bolt, bolt parts or bolt carrier included. I reached out to Sarco but they told me I had 30 days to inventory and its been over a year. Too bad. I was not happy but its my own fault. To be honest I would have had a hard time knowing what I was looking at with all the small individual parts, springs, pins, etc. I just procrastinated. Thats on me. Well I have now completed two rifles. One A2 and one M4. The other A2 and the other M4 are 70% complete. I had many MANY issues with the parts kits. The M4 bolt group I got included a bolt that was too big to fit into the bolt carrier without considerable force. This is not safe to use. I confirmed the bolt to be the issue comparing with a known good Palmetto State Armory NEW bolt/bolt carrier group purchased to replace the second bolt group missing from the other M4 kit. All 4 kits included a trigger guard that was mis-dimensioned such that once pinned in place it would not rotate without force once the catch is depressed. One kit missing a pivot/takedown pin detent. BOTH M4 kits missing their gas tubes. One A2 kit missing the barrel snap ring. One trigger group with a Trigger/hammer/safety that were mis-dimensioned such that when testing you should be able to pull the trigger, let the hammer fall and hold the trigger back, reset the hammer and then as you slowly release the trigger the disconnecter should pick up the hammer. It did not. I hand fit the pieces and was able to fix that. One of the A2 barrels has a forward hand guard flange mounted such that the hole in it for the gas tube is not lined up with the hole in the gas block for the gas tube. On that same barrel assembly there is a burr sticking into the barrel from the drilling of the gas port. This is unsafe and will need to be removed. Lastly, upon testing the 3 bolts I DID get with my 4 kits, the one M4 bolt would not fit into a bolt carrier so no good. Then the 2 bolts that came with the A2 kits failed their NO GO test. ie: first you insert a GO gauge and try to close the bolt on that. Testing that the chamber is not too short/tight or bolt oversize. That test passed. Then you insert a NO GO gauge and attempt to close the bolt on it. If the bolt does not close that is a successful test...sufficient space in the chamber. A successful test assures the chamber is not too deep and/or the bolt is not excessively worn. That test failed on both the A2 supplied bolts. Chambers too deep/loose and the bolts should be replaced. Finally you insert a FIELD gauge into the chamber and attempt to close the bolt on that. If the bolt does not close you have passed the FIELD gauge test. The purpose of this test is to indicate that the bolt while worn beyond acceptable limits leaving too much space in the chamber, the rifle may still be used in the field until a replacement can be attained. Accuracy will be negatively affected in this case. I discovered all this over a week of building. I will try once more to contact Sarco in an attempt to get replacements for the missing parts. Not really expecting much help. If you want to purchase a parts kit, I cannot in good conscience recommend Sarco. There are may other vendors selling quality parts kits for just a fraction more than the prices Sarco offers. I will have spent as much as an additional parts kit to replace all the missing and out of spec parts. Basic stripped bolts are a little over $50 each. Gas tubes are about $30 each. Add in the cost of the other small parts and springs that were also missing, some gunsmithing for the other issues you have the cost of a quality kit.
Great selection of hard to find parts, really random stuff. Kind of like a flea market atmosphere. Friendly gun smith but rude counter people. Cool stuff, remember to check out the MiG cockpit display
Called on 7-18 to place order for gun parts. On 7-26 the part was charged to my Visa. It should have been shipped that day. No item has been received at FFL on 8-5 or a total of 13 business days has passed with no parts delivery. Would not recommend these folks to anyone...
I Never had any problems with themi had to cancle an order once
Shipping/processing is slow AF..
Is this a gun store or a museum where everything is for sale? The array of used and vintage firearms is staggering. Plenty of parts and accessories too. If you dont see what you need just ask and somewhere under a dusty pile of other stuff some one will find it for you.I like to take my non gun friends here because the place is just that cool
Great gun shop with personal that is knowledgeable about the weapons and merchandise they have and sell. Also the show room is amazing, its a good place to find any parts you need for restoring or fixing that gun your grandfather brought back from serving overseas or building your own ar15 with all the tricked out parts. The prices are great better then mail order plus you get it without waiting background check done as you wait
Just called and spoke to Liz because my order had not yet shipped. Liz went above and beyond to help me by calling to shipping and having my items shipped. She was pleasant and understanding, even when I was busting it a bit. Thanks Liz
Amazing customer service. I ordered a bayonet and they called me after I ordered to make sure they gave me as close to what I wanted as they could. Well, it arrived and it was beyond my expectations. Yes you may have to wait 1-2 weeks, but I promise its worth the wait. Thanks Sarco, will definitely be ordering again!
Sarco went above and beyond and shipped an item to Canada, which was not an option on online purchase.Thank you Sarco for helping me finish my norinco 1897 trench gun project!
Ive never been to the store but have ordered on line a few times and have always got the right stuff in a timely manner
These people cant even tell you who makes the product they sell.I bought a Magazine for a M1 from them, it would not fit . If I Knew who made it I could avoid that manufacture when buying again.
Great store and has almost everything you need, and if they dont they can order for you or tell you who might have it. Excellent customer care and ever time I go in there all of the staff are busy with either a customer or actual work within the store unlike heritage guild who has at least 4-5 guys sitting on their ass. Definitely my go to store. Yut
What can I say Ive never been in the shop but God help you if you order anything online their website has a nice selection with fair pricing of course what it doesnt mention is it will take you two weeks for them to ship your item out I ordered something 9/4/18 that was in stock and they did not ship it till 9/18/18 I havent received it 9/19/18 nowhere on their website did it state they were that far dehind and when I called the woman told me they were 7 to 10 days behind on orders after he had been 10 days I called back and she informed me that they didnt count weekends as days and it would be a full two weeks A piece of advice when youre charging someone six dollars to ship something that doesnt even weigh a pound and is only going about 40 miles and youre that far behind maybe consider coming in on your Saturday to catch up The shop is about an hour away from me Ive never been in it but Im sure from their selection its nice but I will probably never order from their website again And I would certainly not recommend it if you can find your items elsewhere
I ordered a AR-117 kit on 5 February 16. They were out of the lower kits that are in with the AR kit and nobody could give me a date of when they would have them. I called about a week later and asked if they had received the lower kit yet. No was the reply. Again, I asked when they may have them. Still a I dont know answer. So, I decided to wait a little longer. Called them and still the same answer as before. So I asked if they could ship me the pieces they DO have in stock, and guess what? No, we have to send it as a whole kit. SURPRISE there, right? It says on there website that this kit (AR-117) is available WITHOUT stating they are out of stock on the lower parts kit and without a estimated date of delivery. This is my first time ordering from them, and I dont see any future orders with them just from what I have seen.
The worst kind of people work here
Purchased parts for an RPD and FAL they were in stock at fair price.
Great place to do business on military surplus parts and more!
HORRIBLE service!!!! I visited this place a while ago and it was packed. I eventually got waited on after 30 minutes purchased a gun and left and I was okay with that. But the last two times I visited the place it was empty and and the employees were standing around and never acknowledged me nor did they offer a bit of help. I found 100 times the service and was very happy with my purchase at the shop around the corner.
Great for all your odd ball parts and kits.shipping is slower then a African swallow carrying a coconut for a 45 barrel and guide rod.day 7 order still being processed in warehouse.next time will just drive 45 min to the store and walkout with my items instead of the long slow wait.great store and prices and decently marked.will be shopping again.
Nice store. Be advised - this is not their warehouse - they have a lot of stuff, but if youre looking to pick up something from their ads or website in person, you might be out of luck. Call first. The guy said if you request something a few days out they can have it brought over.
Amazing store! Bought quite a bit of stuff from them, very friendly staff, knowledgeable and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this store.
Have been buying my husband guns at Sarco for awhile and I can’t say enough about how much we love this store Franco takes such good care of us . If anyone reads this PLEASE stop going to the heritage guild the customer service at Sarco is a million times better
Great prices on rifles customer service is excellent
Great selection of used guns at great prices. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Huge selection of vintage and modern firearms. You could wander around for hours. Lots of unique and hard to find guns and ammo.
Classic American gun shop. Guns, military surplus, and good old boys. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Great selection of hard to find parts. The guys working there know their stuff and will help you in anyway they can.
Love the store. Love the staff. Friendly and very helpful. I will most definitely be back for more.
Franco was quite entertaining on Saturday when my bunny, I mean honey, bought her Easter present - her Bersa 9mm. THANKS for making the process harmless and easy!
I love that SARCO carries unusual stuff that other places may not have, but the perks end there. I returned an item in early January, 7-10 days before my return would be processed, and now in February I have heard nothing despite two emails to customer service. Similarly, I left two reviews on a product that was mislabeled on the website and called customer service, told someone, and followed up with an email. NEITHER review was published and the item it still up for sale labeled as the wrong thing! FYI it is listed as a cleaning tool for the 7.62mm FAL while in reality it is an 8mm Mauser cleaning tool. The tool is too large for an FAL and didnt fit in the chamber!
The people are always polite and helpful
Amazing group over there. I called to order a Cetme parts kit. They looked to make sure I was getting best price, then made sure it came before I moved out of state...they said 6 to 10 days....more like 5 if that. They got a new life lo g customer in me. Hoah!
Good selection of reanactor gear, friendly people, good prices. Will return for future needs.
Good selection, good prices, terrible shipping times. 2 weeks from order to delivery. Vintage parts and vintage shipping techniques
Sarco takes care of its customers! The sales staff are knowledgable, friendly, understanding and courteous. Andrew was extremely helpful as was Franco! The store is easy to move around in with lots of selection and cool war memorabilia. If youre from NY you cannot buy ammo thanks to your leaders. If you go in after 3pm on weekdays, you may have to wait as thats the busiest time of day for sales and transfers in PA.Get there early and you wont be disappointed!!!
I drive from jersey. My friends and I love it there. They have everything we need that you cant find in jersey
I responded to an email request regarding the completion of my order, which, according to the SARCO website is, after a week, still in the warehouse. There is no email box in order to deposit an inquiry. The voice mail informs callers that the office is closed on the weekends ( go figure) and the parts section has a voice message which prompts callers to leave a message, except the voice mail box is full, undoubtedly packed full of customer complaints, so customers cannot leave any messages. Well, SARCO, I suppose no news is good news. Conclusion? Find another, more reputable vendor.
First, to the reviewer saying they wont sell ammo to anyone from NY: are you confused? Why did you think you could go across the state lines to PA and buy ammo? As PA residents, WE can go buy ammo anywhere we want. But, my take is, they have gotten folks from NYC wanting ammo. It is illegal to be armed in NYC, as is buying ammo. Theyre protecting themselves. Also, its not illegal to refuse to sell anybody ammo. Period.I had a GREAT experience with Sarco. They let me handle every single 9mm in stock, let me hold it for a few minutes, and answered every single question I had. Their prices are very fair--barely above dealer pricing for the models I handled.Did it take a while to run my background check? Yes, of course. It usually does. You can thank the government for that, not blame the folks at Sarco. Were they busy? Yes. Do they maybe need to hire more help? Yes, but I understand knowledgeable folks are hard to find for FFLs. If youre walking in here expecting this to be like JCPenney, with someone greeting you and hoovering around you to help you--youre not gonna get it. But if you are truly interested in something, you will find very knowledgeable folks to help you--as soon as they are done helping someone else.Let me say something else as a woman. Often, when I go into a gun store, I am treated poorly. I am treated like I am some stupid chick who doesnt know squat about guns, ammo, or anything regarding the shooting sports. I am usually laughed at, talked down to, and generally treated like a stupid child.Sarco didnt do that to me. It was refreshing to not have to prove to the folks there that I knew my stuff. They were awesome! They didnt even ask me how much do you know about guns, which would be a fair question to ask anybody!Anybody should be at least going to Sarco if youre considering a new firearm. I loved my experience with them and, if I get the opportunity, I will return for my next purchase.
Thanks Liz and crew.its great I am happy with sarco service and even before they had been move out from North Jersey am a regular customer of theirs. I dont mind the travel as long as they have what I need.mostly accessories and sarco is full of hard to find materials.
I dont recommend any one buy from this company ! There customer service is terrible. They continuously lie to you when you call to check on an order all they will tell you is its should be soon first i got told it would ship the day after i ordered 5 days latter no response i call to check and got told we ship within 2 to 3 days it had already been 5 days three weeks latter still no parts and no one can tell me when the parts will ship .so now i have an unhappy customer waiting on his gun and dont have an answer for him total bs
Ammo is at really good price
I would leave zero stars if I could. I called on 10/17/18 @ 12pm est. regarding information about parts that they sell on their website(m1 carbine bolt specifically) and was told that they dont disclose, the mfgr of their parts. Every other question was met with, I guess, or I would assume I called a few days later to place my order because shipping rates had changed on the website ( I guess there was a shipping promotion that had expired) I was then transferred to a different department that told me if I placed the order over the phone that I could get a more specific shipping rate, He transferred me to parts. I told him that order services told me I could get a more specific shipping price he said nope. I replied is this how you always do business? He said well do you have a part number? I said yes he said is that it I said it is now and he hung up on me! I called back immediately to complain and the receptionist was like do you want to order something or not(paraphrasing). I said no. Good Lord I dont know how a place like this is in business!
Awesome place to get your ammunition targets guns and they have some really beautiful historic guns and displays the sales staff is very knowledgeable and helpful
Bought a ruger mk II .280 sight unseen. Sales was easy to negotiate with. Holiday made shipping a day slow but thats to be expected. Now onto the gun. If anything the gun was under described, I dont think this thing has been shot outside the factory. Great job yall I will keep an eye on the website
I only go here if Im all out of options because its out of state. A lot of the staff are rude, but I did have a positive encounter with the gunsmith.
UPDATE- June2021:Since my last review in 2018, I have purchased ammo, targets, and a firearms from sarco and I have to say things are slowly yet steadily improving. Little pockets of weird insecurity and bravado are still semi-there, but I can see that the small details are being polished out and I am happy for their team to see such improvement. The environment is no longer adversarial, and customer service has drastically improved. Management seems to be more available and responsive to issues that customers are experiencing. I commend Sarco for listening to their customers and I hope they keep up the good work moving forward.-----------------------------------------------------------October 2018: It kills me to write this review because I have loyally given almost $9K of my money to Sarco over the past 6 years, but I hope that someone sees this and starts making changes:Franco, MG Dave, and their gunsmith (I forget his name) are the ONLY people worth talking to at Sarco. Anyone else I have interacted with there has some form of arrogance, insecure bravado, paramilitary wanna-be personality, and/or typical I know everything about firearms vibe coming off to the public and I am truly getting tired of dealing with it. After reading the reviews and seeing the loyal customers complaining about the same exact issues for literally years, I would hope that someone in management sees our reviews before their customer-base shifts to Heritage Guild down the street or online sales, and Sarco loses business. As a business owner myself- flat out some people need to be fired and never re-hired back regardless of how long they have been there or what they know. Its about culture, people, and the experience for a customer regardless of the medium that they are patronizing you from. Its getting to the point where my shooter friends and I try to only go to Sarco when we absolutely need something and not just to peruse their showroom like we used to. The little things truly add up like- lack of eye contact when dealing with customers, purposely making you wait minutes without acknowledging that you are standing less than 10 feet away staring at them patiently, lying to fill their knowledge gaps in firearms/equipment just so they can sound cool to strangers, answering the phone with just a simple yell of SARCO!!!, laziness/lying about what is in stock, and genuinely treating customers as if they are a nuisance is a systemic problem at Sarco. I would hope that management or the owner are not supporting this type of corporate atmosphere, and hopefully something will be done soon.Good Luck Sarco, I hope you are reading this.
Employees are knowledgeable and they have a really good selection of parts and firearms.
Ordered online night of March 17. Site quickly said Order in warehouse and Processing. Cool! Now its April 3rd and it still says the same thing. Phone for internet orders says No one is available to answer your call. Emailed and got a reply from Liz Heisler two days later that they got snow and had no power for a week. Ok, they should be a week behind, right? She said processing time is 7 to 10 business days if not sooner. They think thats normal for a business. I order ~$800/month every month and NOBODY in the USA does that. I would have it now even if Id ordered from mainland China! I have an ebay rating over 600 and 100% positive since October of 97 and Ive never seen worse. Im sure a mail carrier stops there every day. They could just throw 3 little items in a box and hand it to him/her. Lesson learned. Never again. Ill wait this week and then see about the BBB, PA Attorney General and the Postmaster for mail fraud if I havent received my NON-firearm order.
They have everything and anything new and used and the service was impeccable
Have used their online a few times over the past 2 years to order parts for my gun shop. Had my first issue with them shipping the wrong part called customer service to get it all sorted out. Went well at first then called 2 weeks later to find out the status on the return she not only was little help but snapped back at me like I am an idiot. Well thank you very much and I will from here on out go else ware for my parts.
Great shop. Lovely people.Ten points
Best shop ive ever frequented. The wall of Mauser rifles is the best thing ive ever seen.
