Eric and the crew did an alignment on my 07 g6, and for once it tracks straight and rides perfect. No other shop was able to do an alignment correctly. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this outfit! I’ve gone in for what I thought was going to be a costly replacement to have them perform repairs instead which were as effective as promised at a fraction of the price I had expected. Once, when I was commuting to the Bronx (Terrible drive!) I needed 2 new tires for a company car. They replaced them, fixed a balance issue and mentioned tire insurance which sounded like a waste of money but they explained it very well and it turned out to be a great service as I needed replacements and repairs all of which were free and performed at convenient locations as there’s Mavis’ everywhere! They get 100% of my tire business and also do brakes, mufflers, shocks, struts, suspension, inspections etc. Great store on Larkfield Rd. as well as any Mavis I’ve visited.

I’ve been to this location many times and I’m never disappointed. The manager Eric is great, always goes out of his way to help.

I went in to have a flat tire fixed. The guy at the front desk gave me a bad attitude when I approached him. He took my tire, but all he did was fill it up with air while telling me that he could not find anything wrong with it as he sent me on my way. Its a good thing that I did not trust that, because, when I immediately went to the Goodyear that was nearby, the guy there found the problem right away. If I had trusted the guy at Mavis, who know what would have happened if I kept on driving on that bad tire.Not only this, but the person that was in front of me on line was there to complain due to the fact that they sent him away with the lugnuts too loose on his vehicles tires. I dont think that it is too much of a stretch to state that you are taking your life into your own hands if you patronize this location.

Ive been going to Mavis in E. Northport for about 8 years, and normally Mavis provided good service for my 3 cars, but in my last two visits they have dropped in quality. Last year I had an oil change performed with tire service, and the mechanic apparently didnt tighten the oil filter enough. By the time I got 1/2 a mile away, I noticed a trail of oil behind my car, and turned around immediately. I could see my oil leak on the road all the way back to the shop. Could have been catastrophic.A few weeks ago I bought 4 new tires, and when nearing completion of the work the service manager called me to the desk. He said two of my tire pressure monitors were dummies so I will see a trouble light on the dashboard for tpms. I actively check my tire pressure, frequently checking the pressure readings on the dash display, and never had an issue. When I added air to the tires, I saw the numbers change accordingly, so if two of the monitors were dummies this would NOT be the case. Basically the manager lied; they must have damaged the two, and said it was always that way. I disagreed but got nowhere. In the end when someone lies, and you are spending hard earned $$ they cannot be trusted. Will not go back.

The manager Lorenzo and staff are honest and offer competitive prices. This Mavis shop is one of the best on Long Island. I have 5 family vehicles serviced here for tires, inspections, alignments and more, always a great job. They do the right thing every time.

Worst experience. Never again. I got an oil change. They left the fill cap off. Oil all over place. Didn’t put all the screws back on the bottom cover. Lazy. After my last bad experience there i gave them another try. Big mistake.

Charged me $375 to replace 3 rear brake lines. They told me I needed a brake master cylinder (part only $260, plus labor) because my brakes were low. I took the car to another mechanic and got it fixed by bleeding the brake lines for $60. Mavis should have bled the brake lines after replacing the lines which they didn’t do, apparently, to charge me more money for unneeded repairs. They should not mess with people brakes.

DO NOT PURCHASE TIRE INSURANCE!!!!! ITS USELESS. A BS WAY TO F U OVER!First off, the employees there are friendly and courteous. I just paid 170$ for a tire that I had hazard insurance on.The guys working there have there hands tied with a archaic computer system, I’m sure it was the best in 1999. They used my wife’s minivan info to replace the tire on my full size pickup. Too much corporation bs there, go anywhere else for tires besides Mavis. Costco has better deals, Firestone, all weather tire, pep boys. You’d get more value if you purchase used tires from a crack head on the street. I wonder what will replace that location, the town would be better served by a vacant building, versus Mavis.

All these places do up sells and try to sell you brake jobs or other services earlier than you need them. Its annoying but after you accept thats life at a service center, youll see these guys are worth doing business with.

The guy who runs this place is a SNAKE, and I will NEVER bring my car back here.I brought my car in for an inspection (something I usually do with my actual mechanic but I was in a hurry). He tells me my breaks and tires need to be replaced before my car will pass. I say no thank you but will still get an oil change. He calls back minutes later telling me that the tires are actually fine (not sure how they changed so suddenly) and asks if NOW I would like the oil and change and inspection.I say no (on account of the lie), and he asks if it’s a “trust thing”. Well no duh, liar.I pick up my car and bring it to my actual mechanic (trusted by my family for decades). He tells me the brakes are fine. Well Mavis, your dead to me.Months later I go to a new Mavis (I know, I know) and find out the last chuckle head put some cap on so tight they are nervous about breaking it.The Mavis on Jericho and Ruth in Commack is fine. But the one on Larkfield... don’t trust em. They see you as a chump they can rip off.

They checked my tire pressure and didnt charge me anything.

Good management, good prices. However upon return for a simple rotation the mechanics did not perform. Weird experience just went to another Mavis and had done. 20 yr customer too.

We took our car here to get new tires and a state inspection. They replaced the tires but broke two of our pressure sensors but NEVER notified us of them being broken. When I asked why our tire pressure light was still on several days later I was told that they had to break them in order to replace the tires and it would be about $90 each to replace those sensors.We were also told we couldnt get out state inspection completed because there was something wrong with the terminal hook up and it would need replaced. I took the vehicle elsewhere and they had no issues completing the inspection.

Good work, fair prices, and honest. I was in and out in 30 minutes at 4PM Saturday when my son got a flat. I go there for tires for all of my cars. Ive seen them help out old ladies who dont know how to put air in their tires. They will point out problems like uneven wear due to worn shocks, but dont pressure you to do it right then and there.

Had flat tire on a 6 month Audi A6 with 6500 miles, first noted while car was parked. Changed tires myself and checked the tire. Looked good. Filled air and it filled up to pressure of 40 but deflated overnight. Dropped off the defective tire for fixing the leak. I got a call that the tire needed to be changed. Which I questioned on the phone and wanted to check it out. When I returned the tire had a big gash on the inside. Ripped on the inside side wall. A 8-10 inch fresh gash with white edges. Which was irreconcilable given above prior to dropping off the tire. Totally confounded without any way of responding to this, except have a lot of unanswerable questions and doubts. If anyone experiences the same please speak up and I happy to provide as supporting evidence my experience.

Flat tire!! Needed repair or replace asap and family recommended Mavis east northport. Went today & manager looked at all my tires & said no need to replace just repair the punctured tire BUT they were swamped & couldn”t get to it till monday. I explained i needed it done right away, did he know of anyplace local that could perform the repair. He called the other mavis nearby but they were also swamped this late in day. So the manager performed the repair himself!!! AND wished me merry christmas: no charge. What a nice guy.

If I could have given them negative stars I would have!!!I drop my car off at Mavis and asked for an oil change, nothing else. I leave and receive a phone call about 20 min later about them wanting to do my inspection that is up at the end of the month. I respond saying no thank you. We hang up and then 30 seconds later I receive a phone call saying one of the employees broke my drivers side door door-handle. I then respond saying ok let me know when you guys are done replacing it and ill come pick up the car. I was told by the manager LORENZO were only going to replace it if you pay for it. I say thats not going to happen since you guys broke it and should pay for it. Back and forth we went until I said sir I dont want to have to call the police, he responds by saying go ahead and call the police, and come pick up your car were not doing your oil change now and then he hung up the phone on me.What kind of customer service is this. This is a manager who treats customers with disrespect and unbelievable rudeness. Extremely unprofessional .The police then respond and after a discussion between the manager and the police the managers offer was, you pay for the part (door-handle) and well install it for free. He then puts it in writing that they broke my door handle and what there offer was . I refuse of course. The manager also lied and said that the door handle must have been broken before thats why it broke. (Unbelievable how they screw up and try and cover it up).I was then in contact with the District Manager ROB, who was even ruder and more unprofessional then LORENZO. Not only did ROB concur that he wasnt going to pay for my door handle (he offered the same thing as LORENZO), he question if I understood English because I wouldnt except his offer and then hung up on me.What kind of company is this? How is it that they can break something on my car and then refuse to pay for it? And then instead of figuring out the best way possible to resolve the situation they just hang up on the customer.I have been going to this Mavis for 5 years and I will never go there again.

As soon as I arrived they took my car in to replace my tire. The waiting room was clean and warm with channel 12 playing on the tv. In a few short minutes the mechanic came out to show me what was needed. He was very polite and thorough with his explanation. The job was done quickly. My trunk was put back together; where at other places they just throw the tire lock in the trunk and not put it underneath the floor where it belongs.Very satisfied with Mavis in East Northport!

I took my car in for brakes (pads and rotars), and an oil change. It also ended up needing the brake fluid replaced which Mavis did at a very discounted rate. Joe was very professional and courteous, and its one shop I can go to where I feel like I can trust what they are telling me.

3 and a half hours to m&b 4 tires and do an alignment??!Youve got to be kidding me.I would be less upset if they didnt promise the car to be done at a certain time.UPDATE: Dropped from 2 stars to 1Returned to this location to get a tire patched (note: patched, not plugged) dropped the tires off on Thursday evening at 4pm manager said they are open until 830pm and he would have the tire patched by then. Show up at 830. Tires arent done. Says hes super behind they will be done first thing tomorrow morning.I show up the next day at 4 in the afternoon. Tires still arent done! So I ask for them back, new manager says no we will just do it quick right now I reluctantly say okay.Tire rolls out with a PLUG in it. I specifically asked for a patch for two reasons 1) its a high performance tire it shouldnt be plugged 2) industry standards frown on plugs because of how terrible they are.This Mavis is a clown show, I gave them enough chances. Ill be buying from Tirerack from now on.

Terrible and cranky! Store doesn’t close until 5:00. I arrived at 4:20 for a tire plug and he immediately told me I wouldn’t be seen. No effort. No customer service. All he cared about was closing his store.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! I watched the technician pull out a very new looking GMC suburban with what looked like new tires on it, assumed he was test driving it to check the alignment and then right after he pulled out onto Larkfeild road i hear a loud noise and the whole front end of the truck slams into the ground and next thing i know i see the front right wheel rolling down Larkfeild and into on comming traffic!!!!!!! So then the tech jumps out and runs after it!! LOL i could not believe what i was seeing thank god no one was coming down fast enough to cause an accident, apparently he forgot to tighten the lug nuts on one wheel (rookie mistake). The whole time wile this is happening the trucks front brake roter and hub is just dug into the asphalt and the running board and bumper looked like it was bent up. Needless to say i told them forget it, took my car back and got as far away from that place as possible!!!!!!

Excellent service, welcoming atmosphere

Had My car there for some work, 4 tires, front brakes and rotors. They took care of my car and were very polite, the front desk guy Bill took care of me and was very polite always smiling and seemed to really care about what my car needed, I will be going back there this time with my wifes and daughters vehicles.

The last 4 jobs weve had them do were fouled up. They left the oil cap off my and my wifes last oil changes, my alignments had to be redone, and they even managed to mess up my tire rotation. They have also tried to sell me jobs that didnt need to be done. Serious lack of attention and poor management. Never the same people working there. Finally learned our lesson, wont be going back.

Excellent service and excellent prices. Staff very friendly, .Waiting room clean with a tv and internet access if you wish. No hidden costs no trying to sell you stuff you do not need. I trust this place and use it all the time for tires and repairs and maintance that they are capable of handling there.

Too bad there is not a rating with zero stars. I have brought many vehicles to different Mavis locations, but NEVER experienced such bad customer service than this location. The manager Rich was extremely rude. And for no reason. I walked in, no greeting nor a smile. Only nastiness. And for this reason alone, I walked out. Such a shame that your company lost business because someone could not smile.

I went to Sears in East Northport and walked out, not only did they try to sell me things I didnt need, they talked to me and my husband likes we were idiots. I walked out of Sears and went to Mavis (never heard of them before) last saturday (8/8/09) and they were great! Didnt try to sell me anything extra. Said they would use any existing/old parts and they did! No hidden/extra costs. I highly recommend.
