Everything is overpriced and the quality of food is underwhelming. Fruit lacks flavor and doesnt last past a day. Everything there you can find somewhere else cheaper and for better quality that will last. The only good thing in stop n shop is the employees.

After standing for 15 minutes at the fast food/hot food in the East Hartford Stop & Shop it’s asking three different employees nobody would service me it wasn’t until the young man Joseph ( he had black glasses on) walked up to me and was very polite and actually offered to page somebody in this department for me. I wish they had more employees like him, who worked at the East Hartford Stop and Shop… maybe it would run a little bit better & wouldn’t take customers 25-30 mins to grab a simple to-go order. 2 stars for the Department 5 Stars for Joesph.

Great place to shop for deals. Using my rewards card helps to same money. Staff is always helpful and courteous.

Everything was clean but I was most impressed with the pre cut deli. They should do that with some of the pastas as well.

Came to the store at 9:30 pm on wendsday and no cashiers was at registers self check out had two ppl waiting for someone to come and help 3 customers at registers waiting .. 🙄🙄🙄

I tend not to like Stop and Shop as they are frequently disorganized and out of stock of or no longer carry many normal items, but this one seemed to be a return to the old days where you could count on being able to easily find things and they had plenty of variety.

Compared to STOP & SHOP from Newington this store is s bit of a joke, why? : their set up, they got chips on the side of the store, organic chips all the way to the other side or the store, same with cookies, nuts and chocolate stuff too, why is that? who is in charge of this store needs to be his/her position reviewed by corporate, difference between this one and the one in Newington is vast.

Shopping in here is simple and easy. Go grab yours!!!

The customer service was exceptional. However, the cleanliness of the store was my concern. It could have been cleaner. Red flag! I found everything I was looking for and they had Great selections.

Its a super market. What else can be said? Prices are comparable to other supermarkets in the area.

This is my second place to go after Aldi next door.

Before the pandemic this was my number 1 supermarket youd find everything without a problem, As soon as the pandemic hit honestly it kinda of never was the same SAD because I just live right near it 😔

Busiest stop around but was lucky enough to get the last bag of confection sugar on Christmas eve.

Probably just more registers for when it gets busy i had 1 item and i was stuck behind a fat guy with a cart full of food. So besides that it was awesome great selection

It was horrible I had to bag my own food and I have spine issues neck back Im Barbara people rather workers watching me bag cant use gas points Madd as Hell

First time I went it was very confusing to navigate but after visiting more it became pretty easy.I also wish there was more cooking appliances

You walk in this store ... and it will take you back to the year 2004. This store is really UNREMODELED!The signage, floor tiles & other interior decorations are really nostalgic. If you grew up shopping at this very store, you know how it STILL looks like.Anyways, this is a moderate busy store that carries everything a regular S&S carries but has more than the good FOOD.When this plaza opened in the late 70s, Stop & Shop wasnt exactly where it IS now but on the side where BIG LOTS! is now. It was relocated / remodeled a few times since.The staff are very polite, the quality of cleanliness throughout the entire store seems efficient, their products are really good to buy for.To me, I think this whole store is NOSTALGIC and its worth coming back soon. Where I live (Vernon), our local S&S at the far end of town has seen plenty of current-day renovations so current that it doesnt REALLY matter about its look.I just loved shopping HERE to buy food for the Super Bowl!

Stop & Shop is a very nice place to shop at the fruits and vegetables are very fresh.The store manager is very active and involved not only with his employees but with all customers who walk in the door I love shopping there and will continue to do so 😀.

Always long lines no matter what time day or night 5 self checkouts and only 2 employee run registers open very frustrating !!

Always have what I need, some good sales, but some items a bit pricey in comparison to some other grocers

I love stop and shop it’s actually my main grocery store. But because I have moved to East Hartford I now go to the East Hartford stop and shop and when I was there I could not believe it. Compared to Vernon and Manchester stop and shops this seems to be the only stop and shop with a single file line. You must go to aisle 14 and wait in a single file in order to make a purchase and the employees seem to shout at you when directing you to a check out. As if we were children. This store seems a bit outdated as well. Just doesn’t seem very customer friendly as much as the other stop and shops. I kinda feel like because this stop and shop is in a more urban community this is why they feel they could slack on the service. But they have a name to uphold, the store manager need to change the single file act and see about getting some things updated as well as talk the staff about there tone when speaking with people.

This place has always been my go to place but I have to say it’s way behind the other stop&shop locations as they are all updated and way more convenient to shop in . Carts need to be updated and they need to bring the scanner tools back . I will continue to shop here occasionally as it’s convenient to where I live but improvements need to be made . That’s why I chose 3 stars.

Its an average Stop and Shop. Well stocked with fresh produce, meats, deli, and all the other departments. My only complaint is I wish there were more checkouts open.

One isle formed for 6 registers. Waiting in line. Did go semi quick. But rude customers to those waiting in line and 4 people cutting line also. I personally wouldnt shop there again. Id go to a different stop & Shop.

The current set up this store has is ridiculous!! Only store Ive been to that is always utter chaos. Why is there one line to line up to check out, that goes all the wsy down the aisle and ONE regular cashier? Seafood closed, Deli closed. I ONLY used to stop here to grab something quick. No other big competitor has this set up even with the social distancing guidelines. I will never step foot in this store again.

I personally work at this Stop and Shop, and I must say that it is not as great in service or management. These people here along with managers are pretty bad when it comes to assisting their co-workers and lacks the communication required to get some jobs done. Not to mention they insult their staff and costumers, and will try to lie about doing so. This place has rumors of being the worst Stop and Shop store, and I have worked long enough to believe it. Many workers have either transferred or left because of the managers and chief(s) at night, and has been an all-time thing. Now, I dont want anyone discouraged by my review, but they do also have items that are not fresh such as their produce and dairy, which can be days expired. Even the manager got one co-worker suspended because he insulted that worker, and then lied about it when confronted. Trust me, whoever reads this, be cautious,because this place is definitely NOT the Stop and Shop that welcomes its patrons with true smiles.

I love this place 😍 Especially the lady behind the customer service counter.The cashiers are really helpful to me because Im disabled and I go there 3x a week so they know who I am.Theyll help me with getting my bags sorted and that means so much to me.

I always have a very positive experience at Stop and Shop. The store us very clean and has a wide selection of products and foods. The staff is courteous and friendly. They are very helpful and patient.

I love this grocery chain because they hire people that would love to help you. The store stays clean, items and set-up are great. Their self checkout works and or someone is right there to assist immediately.

There’s also a long line at all times, more help in the customer service desk would probably make the experience better. Don’t go up to the customer service desk and it’s great. 🙂

I am on oxygen and the store only had one electric wheelchair which a customer was using, this caused me to do less shopping than I would normally do, Stop and Shop should really get more of those, Im sure Im not the only customer that have had this experience. Get more electric wheelchairs for your customers!!!!!

Found a hair in my prepackaged American Cheese they keep right at the deli. I will never shop there again. Plus my card never gives me savings on any of the items I buy. I spend 300 to 400 a month there. Not anymore. Shop Rite in Manchester actually saves me 15 to 20 percent when I swipe my store card there.

Only good for location if you need something quick, otherwise very expensive. The Newington store is 1,000 times better.

They are dropping prices. They just dropped Pepsi prices that matches Walmarts. This is great. Now I dont have to go as far.

Once In a blue you get decent service. I live very close to this stop and shop and it’s unfortunate I have to travel to a further one because customer service has “I hate my job” written on their foreheads. There’s something wrong every time I come here, an in and out visit turns into a half an hour due to waiting for an employee!

Found everything I needed. The cashier lady very nice and considerate. Didnt take very long, to be on my way home.

Many, not all, of the workers here have horrible people skills. Many of the deli workers should be working in the back room. I think they were all high the day I went there.

I just want to add that Stop & Shop now charges $0.10 4 paper bags. And that it is their decision not the state of Connecticut. Greedy greedy greedy

I wish I could give this store a negative star review! This is BY FAR the WORST Stop & Shop I have ever visited and Ive been to many. Where do I begin... the store was a mess, the lady working the self check lanes was GARBAGE! I told her that the items didnt ring up as the sale price and she told me yeah and walked away! I proceeded to the customer service desk where I waited 25 mins to get a price adjustment. I usually NEVER write Google reviews however this made me so mad I had to vent! TRASH STORE, TRASH STAFF AND TRASH CUSTOMER SERVICE
