Very kind folks. On the higher end of grocery pricing, but worth it since they work hard to make ethical, sustainable, and healthy choices for the foods they offer. The hot and salad bars were great and the service was excellent!

I love this place. They have a great selection of foods. The prices are a little high but what I buy is definitely worth it. I come here about twice a month. Its usually crowded but not terrible. The workers are very friendly and helpful. They have the best yogurt selection I have seen so far. If you havent been I highly recommend this place if you dont mind spending a little money.

Great selection. I found lactose free half and half . Wish they had more lactose free products, cream, sour cream, cream cheese etc.Lately though I have been disappointed with the produce. The lettuce was brown and when I asked if they had anything fresher she said that that just came in! Oh really. What do they do? Hold it in a warehouse for a week or two before they send it to the stores. Yes higher prices then most groceries which I dont mind paying if its excellent quality.I was disappointed again when I cut this $2.75 French baquette and found it was full of very large uneven holes. Looks like they overproofed it. They need to hire someone who knows how to bake.

The bakery, scones, muffins & croissants in particular, has suffered a bit from new management. Recently bought some blueberry muffins but ended up returning them for lack of any fresh blueberries. I was told that they used to make them from scratch (Yum!) but now use a mix just as all other locations do. Probably part of an effort to make the products uniform across locations. Oh well, there are now several other bakery choices in downtown Durham.

Like I said hurry there one of your best fresh shopping experiences. Go they run out of hot food pretty fast at lunchtime those specials get you everytime.

This store is constantly out of stock with small isles and you are constantly competing to shop against whole food staff for products who are gathering orders for online shoppers..I live in the area which is why I go there but I dread it because your always bumping into people and if you use a big cart it is like bumper cars at the fair. Their food in the restaurant area is great but other than that if you shopping for a lot of food avoid if you dont want to play bumper cars!

I have always loved the location of this Whole Foods. It sits across the street from the Duke Wall. There was a time I would walk the Duke Wall trail & have breakfast at Whole Foods buffet at 3-5 times a week. Ive eaten at several WF buffets but this one was always the best. Food was always seasoned & salad bar had a large selection & always fresh. Of Covid has caused some changes, however they still have a prepared food section & the crab cakes are good, a slight bit salty but flavorful. You cant go wrong with any of sides but my favorite is the beets salad. This location just opened up a self check out section, which is awesome. Great prepared food location! Check them out.

Clean and well stocked as normal. The only thing they did not have that I was looking for was limburger cheese. Oh well, I found something close and appreciated the assistance form the guy at the cheese counter. They also have a large area of prepared foods that are ready to eat. I was happy to see that. I am sure I will be back.

Ive been visiting this location since the early 2000s when i visit Durham. On July 3rd i received the WORST customer service from the cashier (Ian) and bagger (Emma). Initially, neither of the employees acknowledged me as I stood there waiting for them to ring up my food. They had a conversation about hair and headbands that they found more important than the customer standing in front of them. They then started laughing at how rude Ian was to me after I was trying to pull up the whole food code in my Amazon app. When I said it was rude for what he said Emma stated we try to be as rude as possible to each other and our customers! I dont know if it was my race or sexual orientation to make them think this behavior was acceptable, but this should not be tolerated by management.

They made it so easy for me to return something from Amazon.

I had an item they had mold on it it was a pastry item I called to return it and Charlene automatically assumed that I paid for it with food stamps but I did not she was rude obnoxious and downright nasty to me over the phone once I arrive to Whole Foods I encountered AntonioAnd Jatavis who were very helpful to me in my situation Antonio and Jatavis Descalated The situation I have already called corporate and I will not be returning to this location I guess because I sounded black On the telephone she assumed I was in food stamps what a disgraceful thing to do to a person in the days and times

Has gone downhill since Amazon purchased it. I miss the bulk spices especially. Still better than most chain grocers. I hate that Im giving money to send Bezos on spaceship joyrides though.

Whole Foods has a lot of healthy choices in groceries and the deli. We like the Super Vegan salad with kale which has numerous health benefits and we are not vegans. We like the Klare Melk cheese with truffles which is not pasteurized and is one of the creamiest cheeses that we have tried. We like the hot food bar, but I prefer the counter foods like tuna and salmon and if you get the salmon as an entree with two sides its only $12.00 whereas the salmon by itself is $24.99 lb. We also like the elderberry extract from Norms Farms as well as mykind organic vitamin C spray. They also have a variety of nuts and seeds by the pound which we eat Brazil and mixed nuts for selenium.R. Markham

Several of the 365 brand items in beauty care have been reformulated since Amazon purchased whole foods; body lotion now includes chemical preservatives, and the smell has changed.That said, Whole Foods remains one of the few places where more obscure food items, such as cauliflower flour, can be found. Plus Amazon prime members now receive 5% off purchases.

The store is well maintained, clean restrooms. Staff members are friendly and eager to assist.

Whole Foods serves as one location for Amazon returns. Its extremely convenient. Only drawback is the WiFi in the store doesnt work well.

The selection is wonderful. Parking a nightmare but really what is the most disappointing is the friendliness of the people who work here especially in the checkout lanes. A little customer service, greeting someone, etc goes a long way with me. I find it hard to believe I can get in a lane and pass thru without the person saying anything and if they do the tone I get is they hate their job. I am a super friendly person lol! I live downtown so this is convenient. If I had another comparable choice I would NOT shop at this location. This location could definitely take a page out of the Publix and Chick-fil-A business model.

Inside awesome, sitting outside not so awesome the cop kept lookin at me, walkin in and out was a bit uncomfortable. Wanted to relax and try my new sparkling beverage. I finished up got in my car and left. #supersadface. Guess my energy was low anyway and wanted to be outside guess i shouldve went around water... lesson learned... btw the grapefruit sparkling spring water for $.89 is totes so worth it.

My favorite Whole Foods in the triangle. Love the location, employees are efficient. I always get in and out quickly. Appreciate Whole Foods also being one of the first retailers to take Covid seriously yet remaining open during the pandemic.

Most of the prepared food here are horrible! I’ve tried so many things from sushi to chicken tenders to expensive beef, all of it disgusting! I can’t believe this coming from Whole Foods where you expect quality. The grocery store has better prepared food than this place.

I am not happy. The one thing that I was looking for. King Arthur unbleached Self Rising flour is no longer available there. L they could say is we only stock what they send us.

Im parked waiting for my husband with my hazards on after circling the ENTIRE lot for a parking space. If I where a cop a better use of my time would be PATROLLING the parking lot for elderly who should not still be operating heavy machinery. I miss the faces of the locals that hung on the patio, Amazon took the culture from our store. If you can afford it at whole foods, just go to Durham co op and sprouts.

I picked up dinner for 4 at a reasonable price and it was delicious

The parking lot was crowded - as usual, but the service was great. I wasnt able to find one product I was looking for, but it might have been discontinued.

The groceries and hot bar are awesome. If you happen to be there when they call for a tornado warning expect to be ushered out the front door while employees are ushered into the safety of the back of the store.

Whole Foods has only one mobile assistance cart? Seems like at least 2 or 3

I purchased ground beef behind the counter. When I got home to cook, there was discolored meat inside. I am definitely not going back to WFM in Durham for the subpar quality meat and would not recommend their behind the counter meat department to anyone. Sorry if this quality is considered fresh. I threw the meat away. Very disappointing.

Many brands in the vitamin, mineral and nutrient section that I used to purchase there are no longer available.

Always super helpful here, staff isnt always friendly but usually are for the most part. I’ve gotten bad shrimp from here once but they were happy to refund me. Also got broccoli that was infested with little worms, wasn’t able to refund the broccoli since I was bringing food to cook out of town but overall, I’m usually pleased with this market.

Shopping at this location is an experience. 🥰 Perfecto!

I absolutely love this place !

They stock some of my favorite keto snacks, but unfortunately the odds of them having those things in stock is 50/50. Sometimes I drive out of my way to come here and pick something up, only to discover that its out of stock. And of course the entire store is way overpriced.

Best one in the area! Small but has great stock and staff and carries things I cant find at the others!

Always a nice experience

I ordered bakery cakes here multiple time and they were really delicious. Also the decorations were perfect, exactly what I was hoping for. The pricing is only slightly higher than other grocery stores, but it is totally worth it because the quality of the cake is so much better. AND it is a lot less expensive than other area bakeries. The frosting was delicious and not greasy. And the people working at the stores were all very friendly and helpful.

Rude customer service! A lady on checkout didn’t tell me a word while she was speaking with a guy who was packaging my food. She preferred to communicate with me by gestures?! Are you sure this is a premium grocery store?

This is a regular party of my shipping because of certain products I like to keep in stock. But the good bar in Durham is below par compared with other locations.

Normally I buy food from the bar. The food is always delicious, fresh, warm and replenished. Someone used to serve the food due to restrictions. Now they have sanitizer, and plastic gloves for everyone to serve themselves. Thumbs up for the kitchen and bar preparers. Thank you. Great job! Muy buen trabajo muchachos. Son muy atentos!

As always, food selection was great here, especially if you’re looking for vegan options. The freshly made vegan pizza is great, and there are plenty of vegan meats and vegetables to choose from the aisles. It was a bit disconcerting to have a cop hovering in the dining area the entire time we ate, but otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

Kudos to them and their employees, I have been shopping here frequently during the covid pandemic and the staff and their professionalism, as well as their precautions with social distancing and the face mask requirement are respected and make me feel safe. I also feel like they have the best layout and selection in the triangle area.

I am really frustrated to learn that this Whole Foods location finds it necessary to post a police officer for security! I feel more unsafe and uncomfortable shopping at a grocery store with a police presence than at a store without one. Beyond that, this decision flies in the face of the culture of this beautiful city and what I thought Whole Foods leadership has long wanted to promote-- a community centered atmosphere that encourages diverse people to comfortably shop, gather, and enjoy good food and good company. Your decision to maintain a police presence promotes a culture of classism and racial intimidation that I want no part of. Ill be sure to get my groceries elsewhere in the future, and encourage my friends to do the same!

Prices really are more reasonable now. Still has a great selection of quality foods. Hot bar and prepared foods are as good as it gets in the grocery business.

IT WAS A NICE PLACE TO SIT AND HAVE LUNCH.

I shop here on a weekly and when I need help finding something everyone is very helpful. My last trip out the icing on the cake for me. I was in search of white and roses yesterday 01/28/2020 and I found a dozen red but no white. I asked the florist if there were any and he was kind and sawed me a bouquet with blue flowers and 3 white roses. So I was at the register about to spend $35 when I saw him again I asked if he was looking for me and he was!!!!! He told me he remembered about the white garden roses they just got in and was hoping I was still in the store. So I gave him a huge hug knocking off my hat in the process. I walked out with a wide grin on my face and two dozen of red and white roses for $25.The florist name is Kenny. Ask for him when you’re shopping for flowers at the Wholes Food in Durham.

I love shopping here at Whole foods for so many different reasons. One I love the Deli, the cakes, the pies and the fresh bread make it so hard to stick to a diet. I love the salad bar with its fresh items and fruit make it a great place to come and eat after a good workout! I can always find the best smoked Gouda here and the being a fish lover, I always find it hard to choose what fresh fish I want to take home for dinner. The staff are really nice and always helping if you need anything.

Love this place

Whole Foods Market is the go to place for groceries. They have a great selection of everything you could want from a grocery store. The fresh produce section is the best part, the fruit and vegetables always look good. They also have a great hot food bar and pizza place. I would recommend this store for groceries and a quick bite to eat.
