Ive experienced this chain of supermarkets before, and its a pleasant experience. This one is located at UNH, so its smaller for the college.

The Hannaford market is a nice short walk from my residence hall and it has a great selection of food to choose from! I stopped in to get some hot sauce and a dish brush, its a small market but it has most everything someone would need! Theres also a self checkout which is super awesome too! If youre a UNH student and you need to get something definitely check them out. They can also take cats cache!

Card wasn’t working at self checkout, I asked if I could use another machine, I was denied because it was “on my banks side.” I was on the phone with my bank waiting to be connected (and never was) for 20 minutes. I then demanded to use another machine and guess what... my transaction went through. The manager on shift was also using an extremely condescending tone with me as if I didn’t know what I was doing, when SHE was the one who refused to let me use another register. I didn’t grab her name, but whoever that was needs to learn some customer service, especially when they’re in the wrong. She had no precontext to deny me another register.

Sorry, but Hannaford is like Shaws. Only things on sale are decent in price. Everything else is too expensive. Their seafood is good. I wish that department was open later. Last time I went it was closed, and it wasnt even very late in the evening.

Its close, reasonably organized, and staff is friendly and helpful.That said, they need more floating staff in aisles to help reach or to answer questions. The prices are too high, the package sizes are shrinking every month, and Id rather have an honest sign if there is a shortage than to see stuff slid around so there is no gap on the shelves.Everyone knows that we have serious food scarcity in the US, and we are all aware of the many farm to store transportation disruptions. You cant have a half million Americans die without it affecting farms, factories, trucking, and wholesaling.If 5 of the 8 wholesalers Hannaford gets lemons from cant deliver, put 5 little tent cards letting us know which companies need our prayers or online support. Its about time the reality of food shortages be as visible as it is real.Side benefit? Maybe those customers who are moral and caring will see there are 25 people who would like toilet paper and one pallet of 25 packages...maybe be the reasonable and good neighbor, make sure every person around them gets a 4 pack just like you?

Hannaford Jr is always good for a person in a hurry.

I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Special order at the meat department never an issue, need help finding something not an issue, never a visit without someone acknowledging my visit. I enjoy and respect all the folks at the hannafords in Durham.

Quite overpriced, even for Hannaford. The aisles are small and the store is still sort of dingey as if it were still the Durham Marketplace.

Great place very clean good prices

There isnt a large selection of just about anything. Its okay for a quick stop, but if you are looking for weekly grocery shopping and need/want variety, you are better off going to another store. It isnt Hannaford in general, just this location.

Decent store...never stocked well though

This Hannaford Supermarket is clean and organized, but very small. Making most product options limited. It’s a convenient location to stop in, pick up the staples you need. But I personally couldn’t complete grocery shopping there.

The Durham Hannafords is smallish for a supermarket but well stocked and clean with great staff and intelligent social distancing.

This market always smells like cooked chicken. It is dingy and depressing.

Very good for a small supermarket located next to a college campus. I go here once or twice a week to buy snacks for my lab.

Fantastic establishment. Very friendly service and superb management. Always clean & stocked.

Polite staff, nice small store, they have all the basic things a grocery store has including a small organic section but not many fancy items. Been here dozens of times and only had one problem (kambucha was flat). Other than that its a decent little store.

We were able to stay home because we bought alot from here at affordable prices

The business has only gotten better since Hannaford took over. Fresher ingredients, better prices, more locally sourced goods, and better trained staff. I look forward to seeing what they have in store for their business.

Small compared to most modern grocery stores but the selection is surprisingly varied. I was very pleasantly pleased.

Love this place and was an employee for Mr.C. back when DMP was the place for salsa and hot sauce. Heard about the sell back to Hndfrd and they already had the trucks coming and the benefits, so the remodel and change back-Steve-always there. When I was opening mngr. the carafes of coffee and morning set up were mine, muffins, then onto grocery or deli. I didnt see in the new store, and like them all over the area, the items say in Dover north, but easy to go to other Hnfrd. stores for the fried tenders, eggrolls, fried haddock, and want I like best is the $1.29 baguette which goes for sandwich, pizza, and croutons. Their red onions are nice for .99 but if I see them for more I wait. Huge beer and wine area due to the college, and my neighbor works here. And Ed from A&P. I do miss the burger king on the corner next to hnfrd but story was they left back in the eighties when they could not put a drive thru in. I loved this entire area as a student in the seventies, Tin Palace days. But for a local store, and there was one at PSC too, they are the ones to see. And saw Cio Italia hostess there.

Their meat is good but the produce is terrible. All the fruit and veggies I buy go bad within 2 days.

Its not a full store, doesnt carry lots of things because is small and caters to students of university.

It has groceries, pet food, cleaning supplies, salad bar and specialty items.

It is a Horrible place to work. If you want to work in a place that smells horrid, have managers that dont care about mental disabilities, and force you to sign papers to never work at any Hannaford ever again.

I tripped over an empty rack of some sort right in front of the store manager and hurt myself. The store manager and another employee laughed at me, never even asked if I was ok. I told them that they should put the rack in a spot where no one could trip on it and they turned their back on me. I will never enter that store ahain. They obviously do not care about there customers.
