Good little market with some bare essentials. Most products approach Whole Foods tier. Great wine selections!
Cute little convenience shop with an excellent selection of gluten-free and vegan items. Prices run higher than your average market, but I am hoping that is because they pay their employees well and have higher overhead due to being small.
Love Bulldega! They have a little bit of everything and the prices are reasonable. Only wish they were open later.
Update: As everyone knows, Bulldega has now moved to One City Center and is a much bigger, airier, and brighter space. They have more dry goods, pantry items, local meat products, cheese, etc. And the wine and beer sections have expanded. They have seating in the suite as well. Nice location, but a bit further from the parking deck unless you park at Unscripted.Great place for local food items and beverages and also specialty groceries. Also very nice beer and wine section. Definitely a neighborhood gem.
Fantastic find. Great little upscale market with everything you need.
Been shopping here for over a year - took 5 minutes to check-out for under 5 items because they didn’t know what they were doing. After all said and done, they didn’t even credit my membership account for a $60 purchase and said they would have to do it all over again. That’s not customer service, and blaming the customer for their own mistakes. Just credit my account and move on
Once again another store to gentrify Durham. Only rich white folk shop here. It’s incredibly over-priced and uppity. Shop anywhere else literally anywhere. All of the produce looked bad, peppers were clearly expired and moldy
I absolutely love this little neighborhood gem. I grew up in NYC and know a good bodega when I see one.A little bit of everything, this store is well stocked with fresh produce, local meats, baked goods and grocery items. Excellent wine selection and prepared food as well. Shop local!❤️
Was looking for a vegan sandwich or salad. I noticed vegan salad dressing but none of the sandwiches or salads had details on them about what was in it. I asked the lady at the register and she said “the rainbow sandwich is vegan and is made of hummus “ since there was no name on them I asked her to show the sandwich and she did. I went back to my hotel and when I opened the sandwich I realized that there was some kind of meat inside of it. Walked all the way back to the store and there was another girl at the register, I told her my story and she did not say anything just asked my credit card for a return! I said “ no sorry or something for the mistake and making me walking all the way back to your store?”And again she did not reply!Unprofessional and rude staff! Terrible management( packaged foods need information on them)Never ever again!
Love this store, everyone is super friendly, prices are like a big grocery store, great variety, food is great, their tea and spices election is the best, and they have the cutest souvenirs! If you haven’t visited, it’s a most in downtown Durham, come check it out and get a loco pop!
Friendly service and terrific assortment of wine and beer. Food must be good as it smelled wonderful when we walked in.
Nice small spot that had all we needed
Great selection, good rewards program
There are some great People working There
The Food...Staff...Wine...Local Selections....&The Vibe ALL AMAZING 5 Stars!
The cutest little place with lots of local and unique stuff
The baja burger was great and the jalapeno popper was MASSIVE!
This market, while pricey for certain items, does have affordable options for snacks and drinks. They also sell local made goods, pantry items, dairy, paper goods, etc. As others have previously stated, their wine selection is quite nice. The market is conveniently located walking distance from major downtown buildings which is a plus for me.
Living downtown, its nice to have an option to grab things quickly. The prices are a little high and they often dont have what Im looking for, but again, its a nice option. The staff is always really friendly so that is always a plus!!
Super cute little market with everything you need. Stopped by to see it they carried a local ice cream brand (which they did) and also found a nice North Carolina cutting board.
Nice small market with local food items such as beer, wine, mead, cheese, ice cream/sherbet, pasta and casseroles.
Well curated items with an assortment of value priced delicacies. You can put together a full gourmet meal for 20 or an intimate tapas menu .Excellent wine and cheese selection. Great staff! Good salad bar!
Its a nice little market in the middle of town, with a bunch of local items. It feels... Interesting. When I think of a bodega I think of quick cheap items, but these items are quite pricey. It feels like a trader Joes than a bodega. Regardless of that they have a wide variety of wines and snacks.
I roll into Durham several times a year to visit my parents. I love to stroll around the town trying new restaurants and poking my head into shops of all sorts. This is one wicked cool place! Everyone who works here is nice and oh-so knowledgeable. No, this isnt Wally-Mart, but they have pretty much just what you need, and of those things you want, the selection is even deeper. Definitely a chill place. I encourage you, even if you are passing by, to stop in and buy one thing, we need to keep places like this in business for a long time.
Neat little grocery shop downtown. Incredible wine and beer selection. High quality meats, and although quaint Id much rather shop here then a larger store. They have some organic produce and know their suppliers well. Much more intimate shopping experience which I enjoy.
Friendly staffs, Good selection and Great location if you’re in Durham downtown.
For those who live or work in downtown Durham, Bulldega is very conveniently located. The staff is helpful and friendly and I enjoy the experience of shopping there.I usually only go to Bulldega to buy one or two things that Ive run out of. The store is quite small so I usually call to make sure they have what I want before I walk over.
This is one of the best additions to downtown Durham! The staff is so friendly and they have a nice selection of beer and wine. Free wine tastings every Friday make it a great place to end the work week. I work close by so it is a great place to grab a quick lunch or destination for an afternoon snack. Love how so many items are locally sourced it makes it easy to support the local community in so many ways.
The “manager” on duty gave me attitude and got in my face about my card not working. after three attempts i asked to have the other cashier run my order. she informed the “manager” that the register he was using didn’t accept cards with a chip. she rang me up successfully on the first try. i don’t know why the “manager” wouldn’t have known this and why he went out of his way to make me feel bad about their broken reader.
Friendly service. Good selection. Great location if you’re downtown.
Convenient to my home, good selection.
I went to the place because I thought the name is so catchy. They have a little bit of everything and quite a selection of environmentally friendly products. I have been there a few times and the customer service is great and I have always found things I have wanted.
Fresh and organic foods with a healthy diet. Good choices of freshly cooked foods
Love you guys but please open on time Ive been there from 6:30-7 and your new hours are 6:30 M-F and about 2/12 times Ive arrived in that time frame 6:30-7 you guys have been open. I see the lights on but the door is locked, the lights are off in the fridge and this happens all the time. By the time I get there I dont have time to get to another store, I just want to support you guys.
Went here for a field trip and it was a nice and clean store
Locally sourced boutique sized gourmet grocer. Great selection of wines, farm fresh meats & produce, spices, and “Made in Durham/Chapel Hill” snacks and candies that make great gifts. Helpful associates.
I love this place. Convenient location for me. And great staff!
Fun local stuff and a wide variety of goods. We had a yummy treat there.
Love this little shop. Its a local grocery store that carries some great products. Everyone is helpful and the local foods are fresh and delicious! I will always support a place like this
Quick and easy access to many local grocery items plus fresh baked goods in downtown! Whats not to love?
I pop in here to shop occasionally. I am always impressed by the utility of the things they stock and the broad selection for such a small store. For downtown residents there are limited shopping options and this fills the gap for everything from a lemon or head of local lettuce to beer and chocolate almonds. Impressive store with friendly staff.
A variety of food choices. On the high-end but super convenient for people working downtown!
The prices were good and I love their cashews.
Convenient stop in downtown Durham for a variety of things (food/snacks)...
Super friendly staff and convenient location. They got a frequent buyer rewards program too. If you live downtown you can walkover and get everything you need here, its perfect.
Convenient, great selection with many healthy options, very friendly staff! The Bulldega is the best!
Awesome small business supporting other local small businesses. And they have great FREE wine and cheese tastings on Friday!
Durham just keeps getting better. You gotta check this place out.Cool stuff, great staff. Very convenient. Keeps you from having to get in your car.
They have a very nice wine selection.
Where else can you get fresh fruit downtown?
The associates are nice and friendly. You have to try The Godfather deli sandwhich.
This place is awesome! Staff was super pleasant and the selection ranges from fresh produce to cured meats to wine and so much more.
Interesting selection of pantry items and convenient location in downtown. Always a positive experience.
Bulldega is surprisingly well-stocked for a quaint neighborhood market! The wine offerings, organized by price, are extensive, and even though the meat and produce selection is small, its good quality at a not unreasonable price.
Great selection of food and drink. Friendly staff that are willing to help you if you ever need it
This place rocks! All your favorite local products in one place. Everyone is so welcoming and super friendly!
Great store with food, grab n go meals, great beer and wine selection, lots of local stuff.
Neat little shop with local products and other grocery items. Some bulk items (spices and such) that are harder to find. Worth a stop.
Very helpful and amusing clerk made shopping and finding entertaining. They have great wine and coffee and chocolate as well as numerous other items. Easy to get to and a good market. Highly recommend Vino Coterro crianza rioja
Great addition to downtown Durham! Always great to swing by for the necessities or a treat.
Cool grocery store thats very walkable from most of downtown Durham. Decent selection of produce given the size.
Stop by quite a bit and love the vibe of this downtown urban market - within walking distance of my work! Be sure to support this small business owner.
Bulldega is a great place to go for local goods and national brand necessities. There is a wide variety of grab and go foods as well.
Staff seemed more concerned with their own personal conversations than their service. I wont be returning.
This place is great. Such a good variety in such a nice space!
Cute little local grocery store with a hipster bent to it. Need never before seen items. A little pricey.
Super convenience - super friendly staff. I go here multiple times a week for essentials.
A quaint shop in the middle of downtown Durham. Out of milk? Toilet paper? Need a special wine for a date? Want to try a local treat? A cruffin? Oh, wait, you are gluten free? Try any of their hunddredddsss of gf options from muffins to burritos and falafel.
Nice maket with cool local items. Decent selection of local beer and food.
A nice little store with lots of interesting things.
A dream shop - all of our favorite special comfort foods.
Nice
Enjoyed the selection of food and the staff was nice.
Great place. Variety plus wine in downtown Durham!
A pretty standard market. There selection isnt super unique, but it is a clean and friendly shop.
They carry locopop now! Great little shop that has just about everything.
Such a cute little market filled with local goods.
Cute place reminds me of NYC
Great local items!
Nice...kind of pricey.
Carries a lot of local products. Has a friendly staff to boot. Dont expect a huge variety, but you should expect high quality.
Super cool big city vibe!
Interesting store with unique produce.
Great items and service
Great place with great products.
