Great service. But I was given the wrong oil filter and was told on the phone that I could return it even though it had oil . But when I got there another man said I could not and charged me for the new one. But I understood and, and that was ok. It was only 11 dollars.
Knowledgeable and polite staff. Good selection of equipment on site. Bought a new Mahindra 2660 w/loader, a Delta 28 trailer, an auger, box scraper, rototiller, 6 scraper blade, and a 4 chipper/shredder today. Excellent pricing compared to other local dealers.
Nice small Tractor dealer. Easy to get about anything for farming. People are outstanding.
They know there stuff. Need a part they can find it.
Purchased a new Gravely Mower from Holder & Sons. Great family-run business that have been there for over 40 years. I spoke with both Steve and Steven and they were very knowledgeable about mowers and gave honest answers to my questions. Most dealer prices are the same on these mowers. I found theirs to be in-line with everyone else and was happy to keep my money in Durham. They delivered the mower that same day to my house. Overall great experience and would recommend.
Very pleased with the power steering repair, extremely displeased with electrical work. I specifically told the person who took my tractor in, to have the ignition wires hooked up, but not to attempt to install the ignition switch or push button start switch because the piece of sheet metal that they install into was at my house.. I told them to leave those components dangling and that I would install my self at home. I received a call that there was a clutch problem and that the tractor would need to broken in half, at which point I told the that the power steering and wiring had been my main concern and that I could fix the clutch myself. When I arrived to pick the tractor up, a new key switch had been installed in the instrument cluster where the glow plug light had been. This is a location which will allow rain to run into the switch. I also now have no glow plug light. I was told that they had installed a new starter solenoid, but that it did not work properly. I was able to get my old solenoid back and took it to a starter and alternator repair shop where it tested good. A new, original style push button witch was installed in the factory position, which is know for having problems due to exposure to rain. I am going to have to rewire the tractor myself, after having paid for it to be done. I called to question the wiring work and was told that when a tractor comes in that has other than factory wiring, they put it back according to factory specs to avoid possible law suits, and that if a customer does not want that, they refuse to work on the tractor. No one told me this, and now I have paid for work which I will have to redo. When I picked the tractor up, I was told that the starter solenoid that they installed did not work, and they used a jumper wire to start the tractor. They did refund the cost of the solenoid, but I have a total labor bill of $1248.00 for changing one wheel, which I provided, fixing the power steering, an creating a wiring problem that I will have to fix myself. I feel that being charged labor for wiring work that did actually work is excessive. I will not recommend this shop to friends.
Extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of small engine mechanics. Professional staff, and extensive inventory.
Does not reply to contact system…. I have received no follow up via any kind of communication.
These are people you know you can trust. Very knowledgeable and helpful
Friendly people very helpful
Purchased a compact tractor here. Their expertise and knowledge is top notch and they are not pushy. It was a pleasure working with them - both Tanner and Steven.
Unfortunately, I dont think they really knew what was wrong with the piece of equipment I brought in to be fixed, because there was zero communication, poor customer service, very outdated operations, papers were all over the counter. My piece of equipment still doesnt work...I seek to find local businesses to deal with, but I couldnt have been more disappointed with MY experience...not much care was shown by anyone there. Proceed with caution if you expect exceptional service or communication...just an honest assessment of my experience and my last...
Always count on the nice folks at Holder & Sons to have a great selection of parts and new equipment!
He is a local farmer. He is a mahindra tractor dealership too. He also sells a lot of used tractor and used equipment of all kinds. Very nice people to talk to and very helpful.I have not got anything serviced here myself. but his shop stays very busy and people are coming and going a lot. I know he will come to you and do repairs or pick up the equipment and haul it back to his shop for service.
Very decently priced used equipment
Good place for tractor parts & service.
Totally awesome and very professional service, I highly recommend this place of business that feels like home while your there, Steve Sr and Steve jr were great, thanks guys
Horrible service, incredibly rude, and didnt know what they were doing. It took them eight weeks to figure out a screw needed to be put back in on a blower, and I had to call them to find out it was ready. Then they were very rude to my wife when she came to pick it up. Ill never go back.
So much stuff! Come here just to gaze in awe at farming equipment of the past. Love just walking around out back
Always nice fast at ordering special orders

Was a pleasure to deal with, my part was received in a timely manner. Would highly recommend them to others. Great customer service.
Steve gives great advice from his years of experience and always friendly. Id deal with them without hesitation.
My husband and I have been here looking for good deals on equipment. Hes a crop farmer.
These guys have a great feel when you walk in. They are good ol country boys that love machinery! However, I brought my piece of equipment in to get worked on. They told me at most 3 weeks and itd be ready. 9 weeks later, they called and told me it was ready to be picked up but they couldnt fully fix it. Charged me $300. Then I got home, and the machinery was missing a piece of equipment that they had lost.I wish my experience here went as well as my first impression of them. Be wary!
I didnt know they were In Durham all these years
