Great experience here. Friendly staff, unique flavors, and great quality at a good price point. The oreo ice cream on cookie sandwich was huge and the caramel cookie dough in waffle cone was on point. Both tasted great. We will definitely be back to support this local gem.

Very friendly staff, great ice cream, and I love the accomodations to those who have food allergies! My dad is allergic to milk and was able to have vegan ice cream. I have celiac and was able to have a gluten free sugar cone with my ice cream! YUM 😍

I love having an ice cream shop that I can walk to, so I really want to love this place. The staff is super friendly and the flavors are good. I’ve been 4 times, we keep giving them chance in hopes that the issues are growing pains. I’m okay with the shop always being a bit disheveled, but on 3 out of our 4 visits the ice cream wasn’t quite the right temperature- once we got a pint with terrible freezer burn and twice the ice cream in my cone was way too melty.

Its hard to decide which is more awesome...the ice cream or the people that work here. They are both great. This is the best ice cream I have had in a long time. In face, writing this review has made me crave it so Im going to go get some right now. Would give them 6 stars if possible.

Tasty ice cream but felt expensive for what it was. The friend I was with got served a wrong flavor (the one on the bottom so didn’t catch it at first) and their scoop on top was like a quarter of the way melted from the get-go. Appreciate local ice cream anyway though.

The service was excellent and the people who worked there were great! However the ice cream was not good. Our group had Oreo, chocolate, and caramel cookie dough. The Oreo was okay, but the other two were terrible, especially the chocolate.

We got a Nutella crunch milkshake and an ice cream sandwich. Both were delicious! The staff were super fast, very friendly and everyone social distanced! Excited for a new ice cream place in town!

Not only is the ice cream delicious, but so is the customer service. There was a small error the last time I was picking up a few pints to take home (no shame in my game!) Anyways, the flavor I was most pumped for didn’t make it in the bag. I reached out to them and they immediately said to come on down to get the right flavor AND they through in a Gift Card! We would have come back regardless, but an extra big thank you for the quality customer service. ROASTED PERSIMMON GINGER is a game changer!!!

This place is awesome. Calling it ice cream is an understatement...it’s so smooth and creamy that it’s more like gelato. The beignets were the best I’ve had in the area and I highly recommend trying one. The owner definitely knows what she’s doing and we’re lucky she opened this place.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on how food tastes but I can comment on the service. I tried calling but the voicemail still had the Thanksgiving message and they did not return my call. I emailed but no reply. I sent a Facebook message and got a quick response but when I tried to order the chocolates we discussed.....no response. I finally gave up and ordered my Valentines stuff from another bakery.

Update two months later. Freezing issue is all good. This is some damn good ice cream! I got the fried Oreo sundae and it was too fun. Isn’t my favorite in the whole world but a very good ice cream that we will be back for more.We will be back for a second and updated review. Only gets three stars because they have some work to do. We went about 30 minutes before they closed and the first were very nice and helpful. Flavor choices were great. Sadly many of the ice creams they had to offer were “too soft” to put in a cone. I don’t know I’d they need to freeze a day or to earlier or get the display temp down but even when I picked flavors they said weren’t too soft my ice cream was mostly liquid by the time I got outside. Biscotti flavor was nice but would really benefit from some chunks of cookie. On the reverse of that the cookie dough ice cream had too big chunks. In a few months I see this place being really great. For now we will wait.

Ordered a St. Honré from the owner and my gosh was it so good! Needed a pick me up from the stressful week and it really hit the spot! My 7 year old was so happy and enjoyed every morsel. And my husband went down memory lane as the cream puffs reminded him of a pastry he ate as a child in El Salvador. We will def be back for the ice cream very soon because I am sure its just as delightful as the pastry! Bravo and kudos! You have a customer for life!!!

Best ice cream and desserts in Durham, hands down. Awesome flavors (caramel cookie dough, white chocolate banana cream, smores, etc.). Cannot recommend enough!

To start, the ice cream here is to die for. More than that, though, the staff is absolutely amazing! They let us try every available flavor, were friendly, personable & even made us deep fried Oreos to go with our ice cream! I will absolutely continue to support them

Had a lovely visit. Unique flavors and all was delicious. We built our own ice cream sandwiches and took home a couple pints for later. We took our ice cream sandwiches to go and when eating them later others walked by and stopped to ask where we got them because they looked so good. Highly recommend!

This place is great! Delicious ice cream and great service. Some of the best flavors weve ever tried. We especially love the airplane cookie, caramel cookie dough, and banana tri-chocolate.

On this Saturday, I visited Rockwood Dairy Bar with my two year old son and spouse for the first time. Our experience was less than desirable. We usually go to Brewsters by Southpoint (which is delicious by the way) but we decided to try something new and give our money to a smaller business. The guy behind the counter was somewhat friendly but not overly helpful although Im sure it was obvious we were having trouble deciding on flavors. My spouse got a ice cream cookie sandwich which he said was just okay and my son and I got a kids scoop of some kind of bday cake ice cream, white with sprinkles (cant remember the name of it). Also, just ok. With the ice cream that was just okay, you would think they would try to make up for it with impeccable service. No, the manager stood on the side the whole time talking to two other people (her friends Im assuming) about her daughters dad and their divorce and her personal struggles. We had to hear about this the whole visit. There is a time and place for everything and that was just not the time. She did not look over even once to acknowledge us or thank us for our business, not even to say hello to our two year old. It just kind of bothered me because you should acknowledge every guest that comes in and chooses to spend their money with you. Ice cream dates are a big deal for our family as its something our son really enjoys, but this place just did not do it for us. I dont want to play the race card but we are brown people. Maybe fairer skin would have received better service. I recommend Two Roosters.

Great ice cream cookie sandwich!

I came in today and tried the mojito flavor - amazing! Definitely some of the best ice cream Ive had and it was hard to pick a flavor.

Very tasty and great service! The chocolate mint brownie ice cream was a base of chocolate ice cream with mint extract and homemade brownie chunks. The strawberry basil sorbet was excellent. Excited to go again!

I stopped by and purchased a couple of ice cream sandwiches and a pint of pecan pie ice cream. I was skeptical about the pecan pie ice cream, as pecan pie can sometimes be too sweet but this was AMAZING!! This place is a MUST TRY!!!

Absolutely amazing ice cream!! Support this incredible business. She makes some of the best home made frozen treats I have ever had. Grabbed the macadamia key lime pie and it was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. So good. Im a pastry chef and I am telling you this is the real deal at an excellent price. My ice cream had been freshly churned and was still soft but even after freezing at home was still the perfect texture. I was literally eating it out of the container on my drive home. Tried a couple other flavors at a friends place before buying my own and those were fantastic too. So glad to see a small local business pop up during these insane covid times and doing great work!! They were so kind and the chef answered all my questions. They also really cater to gf/vegan if thats your jam. I cannot reccomend them enough!! Also love that its a female owned business and she is killing it!!
