My husband and I recently had eye exams done by a different optical chain and decided to check out Target for frames and lenses. After a quick google search, this particular Target Optical had awesome reviews and our visit today showed us why! Angie and Norma were AMAZING and very knowledgeable at what they do! Can’t wait to go back next year and have our exams here as well! Wonderful customer service!

Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. My 9 year old went in for an exam and to pick out her first pair of glasses. The staff was great, and the optometrist was amazing with her. She explained everything so well and took the time to show what she was looking at and why. Our experience here was 10 times better than the eye care center we used to go to in Michigan. There wasnt much variety in the kids frames, but the phenomenal staff made up for it.

Great selection and decent prices. Most importantly, Latonya provided excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Ill definitely return here in the future because of her.

The absolutely best experience I have ever had at an optical store. When my glasses needed repair, I went to two other optical stores. Only Angie Benitez at the Target Durham SE store offered to help me. She went out of her way to rethread the plastic that had come off the bottom of each lens. My glasses are completely fixed. I highly recommend the quality of care that one can receive at this optical store. When I need new glasses I plan to return to Target.

Dr. Lou is extremely nice, professional, and detail oriented. Due to large nerves behind my eyes I have a higher risk of Glaucoma. After my appointments with Dr. Lou I always have a great understanding of my risks and how important my annual checkups are. I even learned that I have freckles on my eyes which is pretty cool :)

This location has been my go to for my last two pairs of glasses. They have done a great job accommodating my schedule and have gotten me an appointment that fit my schedule easily. Cindy helped me both times and was very patient and helpful! The whole staff there does a great job! The doctor is super sweet and the young lady at the front door is very knowledgeable and friendly as well. I would definitely recommend this optometrist to anyone looking for a great price on their next set of glasses or eye exam.

Dr Lou and her retail team were so extra kind and helpful, especially in light of the extra steps and cautions taken to mitigate covid and distancing. I really appreciated their dedication to disinfecting in a store that has arbitrarily reverted to masks optional -_-

Excellent customer service. My wife and I both needed new eyeglasses and went to Target Optical to get replacements. We were excellently helped by Lenny in choosing and ordering great pairs for both of us. When my pair didnt arrive on time despite the lab saying they were already shipped, he took the initiative to order another pair to ensure I didnt have to wait any longer than necessary.When my pair arrived at the shop (just one or two days later than expected) Lenny was unhappy with the way the eyeglasses were set into the frame. When I arrived to collect the eyeglasses he gave them to me to take home but reordered a new pair (again, without me asking) and promised I could swop them out when the new ones arrived.The current pair is great and I can only imagine the new pair thats still coming will be an even better fit. Kudos to Lenny who goes out of his way to help customers and takes such pride in his work!

Dr. Lou was very informative, friendly and efficient. She was very receptive of my questions and comments. While in her office/care, I didn’t feel life a patient or a number, she made me feel like a friend and that’s uncommon these days. I recommend her office for anyone who want patient care that is above the rest.

First time visiting Target Optical great energy, customer service and professional. I was seen at my appointment time, I was sat at ease with big smiles and open conversations. I was educated about my vision and things to look out for regarding my vision. I was impressed and have made this my primary location.

Everyone there was very friendly, I had accidentally gone to the wrong Target in the area and was late to my appointment. They were able to fit me in and no one gave me a hard time about it. Dr “Lou” is awesome! She is very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. She took her time and explained to me what was happening with my prescription and we went over the needs for my ongoing eye care.

Dr. Lau was amazing. She took her time and explained everything to me that was going on with my sight. She went above and beyond to care for me and assist me with my eye care needs. She also offered to help me navigate exchanging my contacts recently purchased. I wont go anywhere else unless she leaves this Target.

Dr. Lou is great! Very knowledgeable, took time to answer all my questions and recommended the perfect pair of contacts for me. They also verified my insurance prior and billing wasnt a hassle.

I get nervous about eye appointments, but Dr. Lou made me feel really comfortable, and she answered all of my questions. I got contacts for the first time, so I was of course nervous about that, but I felt better since all of my questions were answered! Angie taught me how to put them in and was a big help. She explained not only what to do but why, which is good because that will help me remember! I also bought a pair of glasses and felt like the staff gave helpful feedback about the frames and how they looked with my face shape. I definitely plan to come back!!

Not sure about the retail eyewear store, but Dr. Lou is a fantastic Optometrist. Patient, thorough and informative, she educated me completely about my eye injury, and gave me great care for a 20/20 recovery. Wonderful personality and a pleasure to deal with, thank you Dr Lou!

Dr Lou and her staff were friendly and professional. I was checked in right away and was given the paperwork to update my patient information. Then the preliminary exam started with her assistant. Once that was done, while waiting for Dr. Lou I was able to browse and select frames in Target Optical. In a few minutes Dr Lou called me back and conducted my eyeglass and contact lens exam. She explained what she was doing and invited me to ask questions. The whole visit including selecting and purchasing frames took about an hour and 20 minutes.

The staff is brusque but were friendly to others who they knew by name so it could have just been me. Dr Naji was extremely courteous and attentive on the other hand. I would recommend to others but tell them to schedule online/phone not in person to avoid the front line staff.

I received a call asking for my insurance information after I supplied it in the web form when I signed up for an appointment. I called back and provided the information in a voice mail and actually called again and spoke to someone in the office who claimed to take down my info. When I got to the office they still didnt have my insurance info.I had my initial eye tests (pressure and focus) and they didnt ask me to remove my contacts so the tests had to be repeated.The eye doctor is excellent and I had no problems with her. After my insurance was sorted, there were no problems there.Then I went out into the store and ordered my contacts on 1/12. I was told Id have them in 7-10 days. Its now 1/31 and I have no contacts. I know thats Targets fault but the WHOLE EXPERIENCE was sub-par thanks to the Target business.

The dr I saw was wonderful and the technician was amazing. I will totally come see them again.

The people are nice enough. They dont work that great w small kids, just because they move alot. They didnt explain my benefits that well. The doctor and target is 2 separate places so you in network w the doctor and out of net work when you buy your glasses.Ill likely find a private doctor office next time.

Had the most AMAZING and PLEASANT experience with this staff. Knowledgeable, NOT pushy.... I am one to generally spend anywhere from $700-$1300 for eyewear. This is Durhams BEST kept secret.

My fiance and I drove 2.5 hours to go to a Super Target to start our wedding registry. It started out well, but the battery in the scanner died soon after we began scanning items. We went to exchange it for another scanner. They gave us another and the battery of the new scanner died soon after we began scanning again. We went to get another and they said that was all they had. It was just really frustrating, I hope they get better about keeping their batteries charged.

Everyone was truly friendly and professional. One of the best experiences that Ive ever had while getting an eye exam.

The lady in the optical center was very rude. I dont know if she did not want to be at work or not. She was not very helpful and did not greet as Im accustomed to at Target. I asked her a question/ presented an issue and she acted like she didnt care or wasnt concerned. I will go to another Target Optical in the future
